how do expired terminals impact your PCI [Music] compliance hi I'm so PR practice leader here at Shaman and I want to talk about what expired terminals means for your compliance so there's two elements here we want to cover a terminal uh usually going through a approved pts listing which we found on the website real kind licated to look through but all of those terminals are there if they've been tested they can have an expiration date this has to do with the time frame in which they're tested and the controls on those terminals when they were tested if those terminals have an expired listing you're going to need to talk to your acquiring Bank to see how this can impact your PCI compliance the other side of this coin which is more beneficial you have a terminal a pts terminal which is part of a a p2pe solution you're a merchant you use those terminals your compliance mandate is really small and then you knowe like whoa this terminal expired last year what do I do I got good news for you if your organization is utilizing terminal that is expired but part of an active P2P solution there is a period where you can continue to use them we're going to include a link in this video where you can look up those dates as a merchant PCI compliance is confusing and the details of your terminal can also be confusing this has to do with your the manufacturer the hardware version the software version you may not know where you find this information or what that means for an expired listing or as part of your P2P solution reach out to us these are usually simple questions cuz we've been doing this for a long time and we'd love to [Music] help
