CGI Chandra chur said let's not be in self-denial and that is only adding to the problem because everyone knows there was a leak the Supreme Court said there was a leak of question paper of the 2024 National eligibility come Entrance Test undergraduate and sought to know if it is possible to segregate the beneficiaries of the fraud from the untainted students so as to decide whether it should order a retest or not the top Court also sought a number of wrongdoers ident identified so far and methodology adopted for the paper leak now in its hearing on Monday on neat case a three judge bench prided by Chief Justice of India Dy chandur and justices JB parivala and Manoj Mishra said whether a retest should be there or not is based on settle parameters the court said it has to see whether the alleged breach took place at the systemic level whether the breach is of a nature which affects the Integrity of the entire exam process and whether it is possible to segregate the beneficiaries of the fraud from the untainted students quote unquote in a situation where breach of sanctity affects the entirety of the exam and if segregation is not possible then retest is needed but if beneficiaries can be identified then retest which involves students on such a large scale will not be needed now the Supreme Court fixed the matter for a further hearing on July 11th and said it would decide on the merits after the government Central Bureau of Investigation CBI and National testing agency NTA file their responses to its queries the NTA conducts the ne hug exams and the CBI has been proving cases linked to the alleged leaks now Supreme Court asked the NTA to clarify three things one when the leak first took place two the manner in which the question papers leaked were disseminated and third the time duration between the occurrence of leak and the exam on May 5th now Supreme Court also asked the CBI to file a report on the investigation status as of Monday July 8th and on material that has come to light until now it asked the NTA to inform the court about the steps taken to identify the leak's beneficiaries the steps taken to identify the centers cities where the leak took place the modalities followed to identify the leak's beneficiaries and how the leak was disseminated the court also asked the center and the NTA to inform whether it would be feasible to use data analytics to identify suspect cases and segregate tainted students from untainted ones speaking of the measures to be adopted to prevent such instances in the future the court said it would be necessary for the government to set up a multi-disciplinary team of renowned experts to ensure due measures are taken to aviate any future preachers the bench then asked the government to inform it about the constitution of the committee so that the court could take a call on whether there is need to be any additions to it the court directed the center the NTA and the CBI to file their affidavits by 5:00 p.m. on July 10th the next hearing is on July 11th that's all for today if you like this video then like and subscribe to our channel the Indian Express thank you so much for watching
