Roles and Responsibilities

Directorate of Logistics

• Establish policies and update Air Force management of Ground Transportation.
• Acts as Career Field Manager for AF Specialty Code 2T1XX.

AFIMSC, NGB, AFR

• Assists with achieving operational standards.
• Validates efficiency and compliance of Ground Transportation Operations Centers.

Functional Area Managers (FAM)

• Manage deployment force allocation, support theater exercises, and contingency plans.

Installation Commanders

• Ensure compliance with GMV policies and procedures.

Ground Transportation Leadership

• Responsible for managing and overseeing Ground Transportation resources and personnel.

Ground Transportation Operations Center (GTOC)

Responsibilities

• NCOIC: Manage Operations Center functions including compliance and service requests.
• Dispatchers: Manage and validate transportation service requests and compliance.

Support and Services

Transportation Support

• Bus Services: For military personnel and authorized activities.
• Temporary Duty (TDY) Support: Governed by necessity and cost-effectiveness.
• Wrecker/Recovery Support: Provides emergency services and vehicle retrieval.

• Training, Validation, and Operations (TVO): Oversees vehicle training and licensing.
