Let's dive right in. TWICE is a Korean girl group formed under JYP Entertainment. They debuted in a bus surrounded by zombies in 2015 with the song Like You Are Because, Why Wouldn't They?
Since then the girls have succeeded in becoming the highest-selling girl group, going on to win numerous awards, and performing sold-out shows all around the world. TWICE is made up of four foreign members and five Korean members, making them nine in total. It may sound like a lot, but each of these girls completes the group in a unique and wonderful way, making them a killer team. Let's get to know each TWICE member a bit better.
The first member of TWICE is Nayeon. She is the center and face of the group as well as the oldest. She's known for her adorable bunny smile and bubbly upbeat personality, both of which you'll see plenty of on stage, because this woman clearly loves her job.
She's also one of the most competitive members, often getting carried away in even the simplest game. Nayeon is never afraid to fully be herself at any given moment, which means as fans we get to enjoy her personality to the fullest. Nayeon is the first member to release a solo mini-album, which will be released on the 24th of this month. The second member of TWICE is Jeon Young.
Jeon Young is a part of the vocal line and stands out with her beautiful and steady voice. Offstage you'll quickly get to know her goofy and mischievous personality. No matter what the game is, she will figure out a way to cheat in it. Jeon Young also has a very caring and motherly side to her.
She's often seen taking care of her members. and spends her free time volunteering at an animal shelter, as well as caring for her cat Bomb and her foster dog Yuki. Next up is Momo, the main dancer of TWICE and the first Japanese member. Momo is known as the dancing machine for her quick ability to learn choreography, her dance skills, and range which have been praised by multiple professionals.
Outside of dancing Momo is not a very competitive person and doesn't always excel in games at first try. But in my heart I see Momo as the true sports legend she is. And you can't help but be happy for her when she does win. Momo does things only Momo would do.
And we love her for it. The fourth member of TWICE and the second Japanese member is Sana. Sana has arguably been one of the most well-known members since their debut due to her many viral moments and naturally adorable personality.
Sana is a very well-rounded performer. Her stage presence and stable vocals, as well as her dance skills make her the whole package. She's also the only extroverted member of TWICE and has been called the mirror-maker by staff for always trying to keep a positive and energetic atmosphere. Even during hard times, Sana is the only child in her own family so she considers the members her sisters and shows them plenty of affection.
Then we have the leader of Twice Jiho. As the leader she makes sure the girls stay motivated throughout their busy schedule and cares for them whenever they need it. She is also the main vocal due to her powerful voice and stage presence.
You will never catch Jiho half-assing a performance. In fact, both on and off stage, Jiho is like a ball of energy. Many say she was born to perform, but you have to praise her for her incredible commitment to the arts. Her 10-year training period, as well as her now almost 8 years as an active performer have made her a true force to be reckoned with. Perhaps a part of the thanks for her success also goes to her highly competitive nature.
Along with Nayeon, Jiho will give her all in any game you present her with. She is going to win. The next member is Mina, the third and last Japanese member, and a part of the dance line. Mina is in charge of sentimental moments within TWICE, due to her elegant beauty and the grace she carries herself with. She also trained as a ballerina for many years giving her her fluent dance lines, and love for winning.
But Mina isn't just elegance personified, her personality is in fact quite dorky and funny. She enjoys playing video games, building Legos and making presents for her members. Due to her sentimental role in many of TWICE's songs and music videos some may be surprised by her duality because she has the range meme. Never underestimate Sharon. Up next we have the first rapper of TWICE, Diane.
Diane's ability to blend her rap seamlessly with TWICE's poppy music style is what makes her so enjoyable to listen to. She has written a number of TWICE's songs and makes their dances look effortless. Diane also has a great sense of humor and is sure to entertain. As a person, she is quite sensitive and thoughtful, always making sure the fans know how much they are appreciated.
When asked who they would date out of the group, many of the girls have picked Dahyun. The girl has charm, you can't deny it. As one of the younger members of TWICE, she has understandably been quite coy and conservative. But watching her confidence grow year by year is an absolute joy.
The second-to-last member is Chaeyoung, the second rapper of TWICE. Her rap style is unique, and just like Diane's, goes well with the style of music TWICE are most known for. She has also written the most songs out of any TWICE member.
Chaeyoung's nickname is Baby Beast, due to her resemblance to Simba from The Lion King, as well as her mighty yell. But she has a rebellious side, cutting her hair despite company restrictions, and has gotten multiple tattoos, which she had to hide until recently. We love a woman who knows what she wants. Chaeyoung also has her extremely energetic moments, despite being a very chill person. Last but definitely not least, the youngest member of TWICE's Chuuie, she is the last foreign member, moving to Korea from Taiwan at just 13 years old, to pursue her dream of being a singer.
Due to her young age, fans have seen Chuuie grow up, seeing her constant progress as a performer and a person. She is known for being quite shy and reserved, only revealing her true feelings off camera. As the baby of TWICE, the rest of the members have a soft spot for her. Chuu also has the unique ability to make the rest of TWICE laugh with just a few words, really showing how much the girls adore her.
As a group TWICE are known for their catchy songs, synchronized and difficult choreography, and their genuine kind attitude. The girls feel most comfortable around each other, and each rely on their members for comfort, company and support. TWICE is a family.
