that i found were either too generic overdone or passed so in this video i won't tell you random topics but actual tricks to find the right informative speech topic for you first things first what is an informative speech as the name suggests it's a speech that provides the audience with information on a particular topic it should be used to give useful and new information to the audience and be presented to help them retain that information now the next thing you should ask is what is the purpose of such a speech i think while choosing an informative speech topic you should have three goals in mind one to present new and unique information to your audience on a subject two to keep your audience engaged throughout by making your speech useful and number three to be remembered for your words and contribution informative speeches are rather common in our lives from orientation speeches to every speech that your teacher gives before a new assignment normally teachers students team leaders scientists counselors and researchers give informative speeches as they often need to present new information to others i'm sure even you must have given at least one informative speech in your life even if you didn't realize it informative speech topics are all around you you just need to look now that you've reached here let me share a few informative speech topics i recently listened to five ways to identify birds top 10 features in the new iphone and important life hacks from elon musk these are all examples of informative speech topics because they are informing their audience about one of the following a product a concept or a person as you are thinking of coming up with your own topic here are some words and phrases that you can use in your informative speech topics directly the first one is how to how to decorate your house on a budget how to convince your audience in two minutes second could be why why does equinox occur why do you need seven hours of sleep third could be advantages or disadvantages of advantages of exercising regularly disadvantages of procrastination fourth could be importance of importance of learning new skills importance of voting in a democracy you can also use the 5w1h method which is simply answering the questions who what where when why and how also remember that you have limited time so choose a topic that can be covered within the time you have are you with me till now great here are three factors you need to consider while choosing an informative speech topic the first thing is that you need to be familiar with the topic or at least be interested in getting familiar with it why simply because you need to be informed and interested yourself to give an informative speech the second thing is that you need to be specific while choosing an informative speech topic for example instead of saying today i'm going to talk about cars say today i'm going to talk about how to fix a car in emergencies both those topics revolve around cars but the latter is specific in nature and finally remember who your audience is because they are listening to what you're saying so make sure you know your audience beforehand and choose an informative speech topic they'll be exciting and informative for them i'm sure i've answered some of your informative speech related questions already so let's see what all should be should have a hook this could be a joke an anecdote or a straddling fact that captures the audience's attention two a thesis statement where you capture the main thesis of your speech that you want anecdotal evidence to inform the audience about new things related to the pieces with 2 to 5 main points and finally the conclusion here you will reiterate the main thesis statement to transition into your conclusion give a summary of the main points of your body and how they relate with the main thesis statement of the informative speech and lastly the concluding statement which is used to leave
