[Music] so free flap is a I like I like to tell patients is a transplant of their own tissue from one part of the body often their leg or their arm to an area of the head and neck to reconstruct a defect so that's taking tissue either skin the underlying fascia or muscle along with the blood vessels that supply that tissue transplanting it up to the head and neck and then sewing those blood vessels together it's a pretty complex surgery it requires a lot of expertise it's highly Technical and can take many hours it's something I'm very passionate about I love these type of surgeries it gives me the ability to care for cancer patients and patients that have undergone maybe a significant trauma or have a significant deformity foreign [Music]
