Game Overview

  • Type: Cooperative game
  • Players: 1 to 4
  • Objective: Gather resources and items to fill up four out of five chests before being overrun with monsters.
  • End Conditions: Fill 4 out of 5 chests or reveal the game over card.

Game Components

  • 30 Mob Cards
  • 1 KN Card
  • 60 Landscape Cards
  • 12 Chest Cards
  • 1 Game Over Card
  • 6 Hunger Cards

Game Setup

  1. Shuffle Landscape Cards: Lay out the top five in play area face down.
  2. Shuffle Mob Cards: Remove a number of cards depending on player count.
    • Example for 2 players: Remove 7 cards.
  3. Game Over Card: Shuffle into the bottom four cards of the remaining stack.
  4. Starting Player: Last person to have played Minecraft gets six hunger cards and the night card.
  5. Determine Chests: Choose which chests to fill during the game.

Gameplay

  • Turn Order: Start from the starting player and move clockwise.
  • Using Hunger Cards: Players use hunger cards to perform actions.
  • End of Turn Actions: Discard the night card and reveal a new mob card.

Actions

  1. Explore Landscapes:
    • Cost: Spend hunger cards.
    • Some have additional costs or dangers (mob symbols).
    • Use tools (e.g., pickaxes, swords) for discounts.
  2. Fight Mobs:
    • Cost: Discard hunger cards or use swords for discounts.
    • Collect mobs as trophies.
  3. Reveal New Landscapes:
    • Spend energy to refill display up to five landscape cards.
  4. Fill Chests:
    • Discard energy and place items under chests.
    • Complete fill grants free mob defeat.

Ending the Game

  • Win Condition: Fill four of the five chests.
  • Lose Condition: Reveal the game over card while mobs are being revealed.

Special Items

  • Food Items: Discard to gain immediate hunger.
  • Crossbow: Defeat and collect two mobs.
  • Armor: Skip revealing a mob once.
  • Spyglass: Reveal all landscape cards temporarily.
  • Explorer Map: Find special landscapes.

Additional Notes

  • Villages allow item trades for exploration.
  • No limit on items in personal supply.
  • Used tools can be placed in chests if not broken.
