Alright, this is Josh Kohler with growingyourgreens.com. Today we have another exciting episode for you. I'm coming at you from my long lost California garden that you saw more about in the last episode.
But today we got something different. Hi Josh, we're delivering your compost. We got Yeah and of course Josh.
or better half from the Boogie Brew Company delivering some wood chip compost as well as some nutrition for my garden that you guys will get to grow, learn how to grow all the different kinds of California tomatoes or even vegetables in your front yard. What's happening Josh? I brought you all kinds of goodies. Yeah, you're on your Rad Power electric bikes, right?
Yeah, these things are awesome. We love our trikes. They've replaced our pickup truck for day to day hauling around of your products, the stuff we make for all our customers and followers. And that bike will even haul like one tote, right, on it? Oh yeah, these things will hold about 800 pounds.
They go 80 miles on a single charge. RadPowerBikes.com. They make a far more sensibly priced two-wheeled version of cargo bike.
You've seen my boogie. bike before I think it's been in one of your videos and I would actually recommend that for your you know smaller user but if in the amount of materials we haul around these things are golden they almost got me divorced but they're worth it they have been a really good investment for boogie bro and we love moving the products around with them so today I brought you a lot of good stuff not just compost for your garden but some ingredients that I want to go over with your viewers about an amazing grow program that I've learned from folks like them from you. This is open source information that I've got here for you on a super soil recipe that flat out works. Alright Josh, so thanks for bringing me all this soil to re-enrich my beds because after every growing season I like to add new compost, add new fertility, and I know you brought over a whole bunch of different fertilizers because you want to share with my viewers out there that are growing California tomatoes, herbs or vegetables or medicinal herbs, whatever you want to call it, or even like some of the trees and vegetables, a soil program that could really help.
really ramp up their production, ramp up their yield, and more importantly, ramp up the quality of their favorite medicinal herbs. So Josh, what are we talking about today? We are talking about the MM program. He's one of our best boogiebassadors, as a lot of you are.
A legend grower out of the Pacific Northwest is as far as I'm going to sort of reveal, you know, who this amazing guru of a grower is. And yes, this applies, of course, to those of you who are growing both your food and and this is of course a medical cannabis Oregon, you know, it's been legal there for a while so we can be a bit more free about talking about it And I took the liberty of printing out Some pictures and his program which he was so kind to share with me and a lot of you have actually received this I've I will forward this to your followers when they request all you got to do is Drop us a line, email us, say, hey, I want Master Mark's program. He was so kind to summarize it with some sexy pictures, some images of his results.
And so, yeah, we're going to go over that. It's a record-breaking program. This is no joke.
Well, people see, like, how much more yield will they get, how much will it improve the quality, and why is it so much better? Everything about it is good. So this gentleman is, like I said, a local legend in the Pacific Northwest. He's literally been growing.
since he was nine years old. His older brothers... Cannabis.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. When you say a grower, when we talk in the 707 Grow Code, I mean, this is the global epicenter, right? For thought leadership and horticultural consciousness. And it all stems, of course, from the cannabis growing craft, which is endemic here in the 707 Grow Code. So his older brothers, they used to live in Humboldt and he was like, you know, he was their apprentice.
Imagine being nine years old and having some teenage older brothers who bring you under their wing and... now you're, you know, carting horse manure down the side of a mountain in Humboldt, right, at nine years of age. What would I give to have had that kind of an agricultural education at such a young age and have impressed upon me the finer points of becoming a successful grower? Now, Master Mark has experimented with every method under the sun, Josh. He's grown with hydroponics.
That's how I started, with deadriants, I call them. nutrients, a chemical deadrius. You want to kill your soil, feed it deadrius, right? He's grown a lot of hybrid style programs, which I also sort of, you know...
It's better than just all chemicals, so it's like chemical with organics, right? Yeah, yeah, exactly. Chemicals where they are tempered with good compost tea recipes, and therefore you don't need to use nearly as much of the hydroponic fertilizing deadriants to get the osmotic pressure. that's required for the plants to absorb actual nutrition.
And in a dead situation where it's 100% sterile, of course the chemical deadriant companies want to push you to use strong doses of their products. And oftentimes, ironically, that is actually necessary to see some results. But in organics or a blend, a hybrid program, you can...
You know, we're not what we eat in our guts. You've heard me say that. We're what we absorb.
It's the same with your soil, same with your plants. When you're feeding living nutrition, compost teas, probiotics to your soil, it's going to absorb everything you feed it that much better. So my point is, Master Mark, for quite a few years, used to call me, fill me in on... On his methodologies, don't forget, everything I've learned, I've learned over the years from people like yourselves.
And when you used to grow, but you're not growing anymore. But you know, the more I think I know, the more I don't, right? And the viewers, you know, your viewers, my audience, my customers... base, the permacultural crowd have always blessed me with more and more and more amazing knowledge, so much information.
So like when you guys request our welcome to boogie email with the full knowledge series, 12 additional... additional pages of PDF documents, I like to say, hey, this is all recycled information. This is all being, you know, and that's the thing, we all keep learning.
But more recently, Master Mark gave up the deadriants altogether. No more hybrid, right? It's awesome, yeah. You guys don't have to do hybrid, man. You can just go the full way and we're gonna share with you guys the method, man, that's gonna work better than a hybrid.
Master Mark has perfected the art of getting record yields, record terpene levels, incredible flavor, amazing. Amazing quality using nothing but a lightly modified super soil recipe, compost tea, and top dressing. So that's basically like it's organic even though you can't say cannabis is organic because that's a federally recognized term and it's not legally federally recognized. So it might be clean green certified by a certifiable.
Right, it's clean green certified. I mean this guy, trust me, this is a living approach. This is beyond organic. Yeah, I mean just because it's organic.
organic doesn't mean it's going to be good. Right. Josh, just to celebrate, check this out, man.
I think this is the first time on camera I'm going to do this. Here in California, stopped by a legal dispensary and I bought some bud and Josh is like, he's giving me crap for not getting something from him because he's like my main hookup. I'm jealous. But the challenge is Josh has all this high THC stuff. Yeah, I have nothing but high THC.
Yeah, that I don't want. I want high CBD. So I got this at a local dispenser.
It's a natural cannabis co. And it's 5.57 THC and 13.74 CBD and it's grown with natural methods, no chemicals, no sprays, all this stuff. And these are like childproof, this is hard for me to get into. But we're going to show you guys this, right?
Check this out on camera. Boom, a nice fatty and most of you guys would smoke this. I do not encourage you guys to smoke. Let me check it out.
Your stuff, alright, smell it. Don't touch it, I'm going to eat it, man. Oh, I don't want to piss off the Pope.
Mmm. I mean, what strain is that called? I don't know, man.
There's so many strains, I just love how it's become such a, but it's a CBD dominant strain and those are harder to find and I'm jealous. But 5% THC, if you were, you're going to eat it raw, right? I'm going to eat this. Yeah, now that won't get you high, I don't believe. But you're so clean and sensitive, you might feel it.
We'll see what happens. If anybody could eat a raw bud that's mostly CBD with just a few percentage points of THC and still feel some psychoactive effects, it's this man right here. So I will.
Well we'll let you guys know, and I probably talked about it a little bit in videos, I did meet one of my viewers in San Diego, what's up? I don't know who it was now. But he gave me a fat bud, like a big one, and I ate it with avocados and artichoke hearts right before my flight, and that was like the worst flight of my life because I got on the flight, I was fine, halfway up in the air I started feeling it, and then boom it hit me like hardcore like edible. And that was a high THC strength.
And that was raw, and he doesn't like, he didn't heat it up, so like they say you gotta de-carb it. De-carb it. I've had effects where I just eat it and I get, anyways, we're going to celebrate today and I'm going to eat this.
And what I would like to say on this aspect is, you know, cannabis to me is a medicine and it can be used as food. We could eat it, it's unfortunate that most people just like clamor for making the buds, but I know a lot of you guys are growers out there. I want you guys when you trim your leaves, right, take your leaves off, I don't care, blend them in a smoothie, man. You could take your leaves, put them in a blender with some coconut water, some almond milk, some maybe young coconut water, young coconut meat.
And put some bananas in there to make it sweet or other fruits and blend it up and drink a green drink out of it. Or even better yet than making a smoothie, which is really simple because most of you guys already have blenders, is get a juicer. Juice your trim leaves, oh my god, and drink that.
If you do it right, well it depends if you can. Right or not, like Josh and I did, you can't get high for 10 hours on trim leaf, which we don't really even need to grow the buds and why does everybody like the buds? I mean, I just throw this out to say, oh man, the leaves are the most beneficial part of the plant, but hey, buds are cool too. This bud is for you guys out there. This bud's for you Josh.
So always when I eat this man, it's so strong my tongue almost kind of gets burned. It gets a little numb. Because it's like eating straight oregano that's like really, really hard. Well, you're just experiencing a saliva reaction to all the terpenes. That's wonderful.
Yeah, I mean, this is the way I would encourage you guys to use the cannabis. In a whole food format. I mean, most of the places make tinctures out of CBD, and sometimes they use isolate white powders to make, you know, CBD little bottles of stuff with just oil, and it's mostly oil. Way, way too isolated.
That's way too non-whole food. It's like ginseng. When the Russians tried to, you know, identify the ginsenosides and purify. them down to the individual compounds, it just didn't work as well as the whole ginseng root superfood to their athletes in the 1980s.
So Josh recognizes being the health nut that he is, his body intrinsically wants to eat whole food cannabis, not some stupid extract. Because there's so many other nutrients in the cannabis besides just the CBD and the THC, there's other cannabinoids, CBG and THC-B and CBN and like, and the problem is, in my opinion, once again, and if you're a grower, I would encourage you to you got to grow high CBD and high other than THC varieties because there are other cannabinoids that are now being shown to be more health beneficial. Right.
Plus if you grow the ones that are not high in CBD, high in THC, I'll be your best friend because that's the stuff I personally want to consume because it doesn't have those psychoactive or, you know, effects. you know that that I don't want to experience myself. I still predict you're gonna if anyone can experience a small effect from a very low THC content and eaten raw so normally that just shouldn't work that way but he's proven that wrong and Eating it with some avocado, and I still don't understand.
You'd have had to heat the avocado oil up. Conventional wisdom says you have to fat solubilize it with some heat. But Josh, you got high on my juice, which was not heated. We know the grower.
He didn't heat the buds, the leaves, or anything. We got fresh leaf. We juiced it in my special fashion.
Link is down below for that. If you want to get high for 10 hours on raw cannabis leaf, or if you don't, don't do what I did in the video. The stuff we juiced together and that I got high for 10 hours on would not have gotten me high had I...
smoked it, had I vaped it, had I traditionally maybe cooked it, maybe, maybe not in like a brownie mix. I mean, it was bizarre how effective that was. Those were preemie, you know, little what we call preemie, premature, little pre-flower.
And a lot of leaf mostly. Yeah, leaf and some little pre-flower hairs. It was a joke. I could not believe how effective it was.
So definitely check that video out. That's pretty wild. All right, cool. So let's get into telling you guys actually how to grow the best cannabis. medicinal herbs, or you can even use this for your vegetables.
Absolutely. It's an overkill, but here's the thing, right? I don't care if I'm growing vegetables or I'm eating my cannabis, I want to have the highest quality because unfortunately, a lot of cannabis growers are using chemical systems.
It doesn't have the high levels of terpenes and have all the different nutrition. Same thing with your garden. You guys are growing fruits and vegetables, and you guys that are growers out there that don't grow vegetables, I would encourage you guys to grow some vegetables along with your other medicinal herbs.
do it outside, don't do it together so you don't get any contamination of course. But grow your high quality food so you can tell the difference in like the more nutritious it is, the more life force energy it has. It's also less expensive, especially if you guys are growers and good at cannabis already.
Growing vegetables is going to be a piece of cake man, just choose the right ones. Alright? Yeah, this is a one time investment.
This is a living soil system that Master Mark has taught me and that I'm about to teach you how to create. So he starts with a ubiquitous. here that any of you want this just shoot us a line at Boogie Brew maybe we can even get a Google Drive link up to it I mean these plants are some of the most packed plants I've ever seen with buds dude I mean this is just like all bud I don't I barely see any leaf man this is all indoor this is very manageable he's a hobby grower now he does this just for fun this isn't a commercial project but he prides himself on getting the max yield per lumen indoor and I'm not joking I talk a lot I never talk poop three pounds per 1,000 watts of light, which I never achieved. And I wish I'd known...
How much did you achieve, man? Oh, man, I wasn't that good of a grower. I was maybe one and three quarters was my record.
The thing is, I didn't give the plants what's even better than all these ingredients put together. Vitamina mora, the love, the vitamin L. You got to give them the love. So that's ironically why I developed Boogie Brew. Was to make it what I call a stoner-proof method of gardening, you know, where I could be somewhat lackadaisical, not love my- You gotta spend a daily commune with these girls.
You want your girls to be these kind of beautiful babes? Or your- garden if you're growing outdoor or even indoor. Right, your peppers, whatever, you do need to spend time with your plants.
Right, so visit here more. We need you here more in Cali so your garden can get even more attention. Josh, so why are you so passionate about sharing this system that you didn't even come up with that does use some of your products?
But most of the products are actually not the ones you sell right now with other with people out there. That is so true This is this video is not a Josh and Josh boogie sales pitch Why am I sharing this again because like I said earlier? I've learned so much from you all and in the eight years or so the seven years or so since Josh introduced me to the GYG crowd My relationship to my own business has changed, you know what we own owns us my small business owns my ass And it's an emotional reward that I get from it more than the monetary one. Like the more sales I do now, the less money I have to show for it. I'm unemployable.
So I'm kind of like this is what I have to do. If it doesn't work, you screw. Yeah. So you're helping me keep self-employed here. And that's why I pay some people to help.
And I pay them to manage me. That's the first order of a job description. If you want to help Boogie Brew, I pay people to manage me. So speaking of which. you know managing your garden better and learning these tips and tricks and I'm sure on the comments below I want people adding their knowledge to the Master Mark program but this is bulletproof and everyone I've turned this on to Master Mark is so good that we actually I don't know if he minds me saying this or not in the video but I'm gonna say it anyways we we don't pay him but we've sponsored him with a bit of tea because we're just so impressed with what he's doing but he's so kind as a retary that he He's, it's like when you go and pick the brains of the business council, like your local, you know, federally funded, volunteer assisted, small business sort of.
Association. Yeah, association. Yeah, yeah, SBA.
He's done that for some of you, actually, a few of you, a few elite boogie commercial grower customers who've been desperate because they're investors in their commercial grows. In Colorado, hemp farmers in Tennessee, other growers. is in the Pacific Northwest.
So we've gently nudged Master Mark into giving one-on-one advice to these folks. You know, I say money is like manure. You've got to spread it around in the right places.
Out of gratitude, we've sent Mark some tea. But it's not like an official business relationship. This is social hyphae. Social hyphae.
Like the web of life that you're weaving in a healthy soil, in a mycorrhizal, beautiful root hair. trees, redwood trees interacting with each other from one side of the forest to the other. That's what this is.
This is social hyphae. And it would be ridiculous if I didn't share this knowledge, which is gold, with your viewers. So that's what I'm here to do.
Wow. So I want to say, Josh, like I think it's really cool that there's this open source model because this prevents commercialization when they're always trying to use chems. And they're growing low quality, not getting the yields. And this could keep home growers or farmers in business. this by adopting this that could maximize their yield per lumen in their grill.
And the other thing is, Josh, you think Master… Master Mark. Master Mark would be open for me visiting one day if I ever get up to the northwest. Hey, I just put in a text to him.
He's busy this time of year. But I'm hoping that he responds in the affirmative. So MM, if you're out there and you get to watch this, don't forget there's a date with Destiny.
I'm DJ K to visit you in the beautiful… Pacific Northwest and you can educate his viewers directly instead of me functioning as a go-between. Now speaking of the grow store culture and the hydroponic industry wanting to push deadriants and put more profit driven and the opposite of open source some of M&Ms best friends are in the cannabis industry themselves and have been for a long time and a couple of them own multiple grow stores and multiple commercial grows in the Pacific Northwest. And so they're in an area where there's like 10 times more cannabis than that state, you know, of Washington and Oregon, for instance.
In California, this applies a bit too, but certainly in those two states. They produce more cannabis than they can consume. And the owners of these stores themselves and the owners of also these commercial grows have begged him for his product.
That's how good. For his hobby flowers that are just his. personal medicine.
That's how good the Alright, so if you want true boogie bragging rights, boogie bud brag rights, this is it. Follow the MM program for the BB, for the boogie bragging rights. Alright Josh, let's get into this man, we've gone on so long. I know there's a certain soil blend, a certain procedure, so why don't we go over all the ingredients that are in the soil blend and how much goes in there and all that stuff. Yes, so you got a quick look at these, I'm done showing you the soil porn here.
here, the weed porn, there is a list of what he uses, he was so kind as to identify that list. If you want to read it out to your audience. Oh yeah man, sure man.
So we got ocean forest soil. That's it, this is your base. Alright now this is ubiquitous, now we're spoiled on the west coast. What percentage man?
Like if you're doing just like one bag or two bags per 150 gallon, you know, Smart Pot or what? So let's assume you're a big grower and you bought, or a modest, modestly big grower. and you start with a hundred bags of ocean and forest.
By the time you add these other ingredients, you're at 160 equivalent. You're adding 20% each of these other ingredients. Now you start with ocean and forest. Now keep in mind, we are talking about mature cannabis plants that are ready for their final transplant into their super soil blend.
Prior to that, I'm going to deviate a bit here from Master Mark because there's always a before before. You're going to use this. You're going to use happy frog. Get that in the picture there.
Happy frog potting soil. Happy frog potting soil. This is what I love to start with, is with the happy frog.
So your baby plants, your nursery, whether it's your peppers. your beans, your basil, or your boogie buds, you're going to start those in, you know, nursery stock. Every powerful garden has an even more powerful nursery that's stocking it. And there's going to be some rejects, you know. If you're one of these people that live in an area where you're highly restricted on the number of plants you can grow, go for the maximum number you can grow to start with.
If it's six, let it be six. But you're going to end up with two trees. Because two or three of them are going to end up being less strong.
So ideally, you always have more than you need. And they start out in little whatever. It could be your seedling tray, like one inch size. But you're going to use the mild soil, which is the happy.
I'm a big fan of proper transplanting, graduating pot sizing and in timing intervals and as you graduate the pot sizes you also increasingly graduate the strength of the soil. So it goes from 100% happy frog, two weeks later you've got these starving plants, you know, they're now, their roots are popping out of the bottom of their little two inch pots. You could do one mild compost tea feeding, maybe one pure protein foliar feed, but they're getting everything they need from the happy frog for a couple of weeks. Now they're root bound. You want them concular.
You want the stems like really sturdy looking and the leaves starting to fade a bit, starting to get yellow like, ooh, they need more actual nutrient, not detrient, right? So now it's time to go into a slightly stronger mix. So you could go 25% ocean and forest and 75%. happy frog and so on to 50% ocean and forest 50% happy frog now they're young teenagers maybe they're in a three gallon pot or a two gallon pot at this point by the time you're ready to do this they're maybe a week away from flower wow so they've gone through their veg now they're ready for and they can handle it you want to you want to do one change at a time to each to your plants so you don't put them into the strong soil and flip the lighting schedule straight to 12 hours.
That's two changes. You want to keep them in veg for yet one more week. But somewhere around a week, 10 days before, if it was indoor, the lights get flipped.
Or, you know, outdoor when you know that that 12-12 equi-cycle is happening with the light change. That's when they're getting really hungry and it's time to give them all these goodies. So you start with the best.
You start with ocean and forest. Now, we are spoiled here. Like I said, we get it for under 10 bucks a bag 11 bucks a bag on the west coast Unfortunately in other parts of the country this stuff can run 20 25. What if they can't get this man?
Do they have to find this? I mean most hydro stores should be able to order this unless unless they suck This is ubiquitous. This is ubiquitous Fox farm This is the original like what the hippies in Humboldt have used for decades Some of their other products leave a lot to be desired including some dead rients that so don't like just like oh don't get This is a fox farm, but it's not the ocean. Unfortunately, yeah, unfortunately they've made some products that are chemical based, you know, dry. At least you're not getting ripped off paying for liquid, but the Ka-ching, I forget the names.
Those, you know, you don't want to get those. Just get their soils. Happy Frog to start with, and then Ocean and Forest.
Now, I said 20% of each of these other ingredients. So we got 20% Lazarus charcoal. What the heck is a Lazarus charcoal? You know, I still...
haven't purchased a bag of Master Mark's legendary Lazarai or Lazarus charcoal. However, for those of you, the opposite of Josh, who are meat lovers, barbecue lovers, you may have heard of it. It's actually sold through the barbecue industry. It's an incredible dense hardwood charcoal, a hickory smoke. But is that like a biochar?
No. I mean, it's like for charcoal industry, I'm concerned that they're going to be adding stuff and it's not made right to have all the nice pores in there like a biochar would. It's actually a supreme biochar, the way to make it a biochar is to biologically activate it with some boogie brew or with even a cheaper, simple vermi tea, a tea from worm castings only. So that's what he does. Today I brought as a substitute… And I would personally probably use just the superchar in itself because this product in itself… Over any kind of other biochar product, it's already pre-infused with some of the best worm castings that I've tested right here.
Worm juice, worm juice, the ambrosia, yeah, that's our buddy Brian Spangle. Yeah, liquid worm castings. Yeah, liquid worm juice. He sells the product. Yeah, check the link down below.
Actually, I visited that worm farm to show you guys. actually how all that stuff is made. This stuff is amazing and when you open up a bag of this superchar you can smell the biology.
I could make love to good soil and this stuff it just reeks of good soil biology. So I'm quite sure, I'm positive in fact, that this is an excellent substitute to the lazuli. But once again it's not the Master Marks program exactly if you want to follow that.
But this is what I would use and actually a matter of fact every mixture when I top off my raised beds or when I make a potting soil mix. Always put the super char in my stuff. It's got to go in there.
Char is the great regulator. Didn't you interview Michael Whitman? I did, yeah.
I'll put a link down below. The bio char man. The bio char man. The char man. The char man of the board.
Char man of the board. And he explains it better than... It functions as an engine regulator. It is the ECM, the electronic control module in the soil engine.
And this is the most active char. It's an amazing product. But I'm not here to pitch you our char.
I'm just saying, get a good char. And I think Lazarus is amazing from what I've heard. about it and I'm sure it's affordable to many of you at your local hardware stores to get it and activate it yourself turn it into your own super chart okay cool Josh so the next ingredient is a 20% large pumice so did this classify as large pumice the hydrants in balls yeah these are this is the hydro corn this is a high-end or if one of you rip the bag open because you're gonna use it anyways I mean I'm not returning it to the grove I just bought this for this video there we go sorry yeah this stuff It has all the crevasses, all the little valleys and nooks and crannies in it.
It's actually quite an ugly. It's not the most... Yeah, it's the kind of messed up stuff.
It's not all round, but it's all funky. But that's probably a good thing, right? Yeah, this, you know, for the real snooty people who are into their landscaping, this might not have enough uniformity to it. But guess what?
This has the best BSA ratio. What is the best BSA ratio? Bacterial surface area.
And you put this into what is otherwise arguably a somewhat sticky super soil like ocean and forest, this is going to give, at 20%, added crucial colonizing air spaces for the microbial web of life in your soil to truly operate. So while it may seem to you and I like an inert, I mean, there's no fertilizer in here. It's just rock, you know.
But guess what? Such a basic ingredient. In a rich soil functions as a home, as a colony, as a condominium. for all the beneficials to really thrive in.
And you can see it. You know, you go back into one of these soils, like a Master Mark blend with this stuff in it, and you just poke in there and you'll see the white stuff growing, the actinomycetes and whatever, the strains and the hyphal threading. Well, it just loves this stuff, right? So this is, now another way to use this is at the bottom.
Let's say you're growing in pots, in containers. You're a little worried about drainage. Hey, put an inch of this at the bottom. But Master Mark, from what I know, And what I understand is just mixing this at 20%, so we're already at 40%, we're already up to 1.4 bags now of Ocean and Forest by adding these ingredients. These are cheaper.
These are cheaper than the Ocean and Forest itself, the Hydraton at least. I'm not sure about the Lazerite Char, might be right around the same price. A huge investment and here's why. Because this soil, once you've established it, it's gonna keep going.
It's gonna keep going. I'm gonna skip right to the end. It says right here, okay.
The only additional nutrients coming from top dressing and boogie tea. He's busting old records. Okay, he just yanks the harvested cannabis plants.
These are the big ones, right? In the super soil. Yeah, you dump your soil after you screw it because you don't want to, like, get contamination.
Yeah, but he yanks it. But he leaves the soil and he literally just... just replants a new one and the old so he's saving all the soil saving the money doesn't have to make new soil every time no and you know what he told me he gets better results on rounds but two three four and five but isn't he going to get disease and stuff and that's well if you were to do everything wrong i guess but no you're you're creating this living super system you know and that's well no my viewers like yeah you know because a lot of a lot of growers just use their so we're right freaking yeah we're there we were conditioned i was too for years if i've only had I wish I had known this, I would have saved myself so much money, I used to buy pallets of ocean and forest, you know, one time only.
And if only I had known the MM recipe and learned how to do a proper living super soil. And that's the whole thing, this is a living super soil, right? When you set it up properly, use some of the ingredients, including the boogie broo tea, you're going to get the beneficial bacteria in there that basically kick ass and eat the bad guys so that you're not going to have your bad soil, your soil is never going to go bad, it's not going to get too high full of salts. And you could just keep using it again just like I would in my garden.
I don't replace all the soil in my garden every season. That'd be nuts. And it keeps breaking down and getting better.
Exactly. So let's move on here because we're running out of daylight. What's the next ingredient? Oh, 20% worm castings, man.
Worm castings. These are the same worm castings that increase my pepper production I think by four times right here. And these are the ones that I use myself once again in all my potting mixes and when I top off my raised beds. Yeah, this is the, of course, the super casting right here. We love.
I make a trip. up every month to get this stuff. It's amazing.
I wish Brian could produce more of it. Organic solution worm castings. This is not just any worm castings.
Does Master Mark use these ones or does he just say worm castings? No, no. Guess what? Master Mark is never… He could make it even better, dude.
Right, exactly. Use this stuff or maybe pick this and mix it with some other high-end castings, which actually I do. I use more than one kind of casting myself. I mean, yeah, he's in the Pacific Northwest, so we're spoiled a bit on the West Coast. You know, there's quite a few good casting companies out there.
I've yet to find something better than OGS, but no. For the record, I'm not aware of him ever using this. I think I've sent him some to fool around with.
But he just has 20% worm castings. So get a good casting. It's going to act as a biological horsepower driver, driving agent. There's already some castings in here. But clearly he recognized that for this living soil system to work, that Fox Farm needed that extra 20% killer worm castings added to it.
So that's a very crucial basic ingredient. Yeah, let's go back to the... Cool.
Cool, then we got one to two cups of neem meal. Yeah, he never specified to me how much neem meal, you know, per, you know, we went from one to two cups. Yeah, but we don't know. But we don't know what you're, is he starting with one bag? Maybe he's starting with one bag.
I'm assuming that these pots, I'm assuming they look like about a seven gallon. This is an indoor, so they're not going to be much bigger than 10 or maybe 15 gallon at the max. So one to two cups, this stuff's pretty powerful.
Neem. Neem seed meal is pretty potent. I love this product.
It's good, slow-release nitrogen. And the benefits... Excuse me, I came out of the picture there. This is good, slow-release nitrogen.
The neem seed meal is... It also is going to help benefit the good nematodes and discourage the bad ones. Neem is very anti-bad bug and pro-good bug.
Miraculous product. Little amount goes a long way. And this stuff continues to break down. Slow... you know and digest so wonderful products gonna stick around and add some amazing nitrogen content as well as bug fighting power to your super soil cool and I would say I would like to add this you know make sure you guys get good brands although we're saying this you know there's a lot of neem cake coming out of India and who knows where and who knows what kind of quality is and that could once again hurt your grill Yeah, stick with something like the down-to-earth brand stick with same thing on the worm cast the same thing with all these ingredients Make sure you get good quality stuff.
So the next item we got Josh is one to two kelps of Cups of kelp meal. We have the down-to-earth kelp meal, but he right here is the grow more, you know I just picked this up because I'm trying to give you representative products of what you can use whatever's available Rose store at your grow store. So yeah. Yeah, this is a big brand owned by one of the big big, big ag companies.
But hey, support them for supporting natural farming methods too. Obviously, don't buy their chemicals, but do buy their kelp meal or whatever kelp meal is available to you. Wonderful stuff. Good potassium. Again, a good driver of biology.
And the other thing I'd say is, you know, Buy your kelp meal in bulk, like a big bag. Right, well down to earth, yeah. I think it could hover down to like maybe a dollar, a little bit more per pound, depending.
Couple of bucks, couple of bucks. One to two dollars per pound depending on the deal you get. Yep, yep. And then, because it doesn't go bad really.
Yep. Alright, cool. So then next thing is… Nature's Pride, what the heck is Nature's Pride? Okay, well he uses that as directed. So that was your soil recipe.
Now we're… That's your base soil recipe. That's it. You don't have to put all these other ingredients that I would put in my garden.
Now, your ocean and forest, and then your 20% each castings, rock. and biochar. So that's very simple.
Super simple. And then a couple of cups, like a seasoning of the kelp meal and the neem seed meal. That's your soil. Now, once the plants get into bud, even having this amazing super soil that's fed to them at the right time, having done that graduated pot sizing whole thing.
They're like hungry teenagers. They still want more. We don't have time now, but I'm going to come back tomorrow and finish another episode with it. with him before he leaves town on Josh's 9-11 gardening rule. We're gonna finish that later, but they will get hungry.
And when they get hungry, you use the 9-11 gardening rule, which I'll explain later, to feed them, to know when to feed them. They tell you when to feed them. And what do you feed them?
Tea and top dressing. And in veg, maybe one time. So again, I brought an alternative. I brought the rainbow mix that's $4 a pound at He Depot. Maybe one time in veg, maybe.
If. If you're stuck... My He Depot doesn't sell that, Josh. Well, if you're on the West Coast, the He Depots have this. But you know what?
Nature's Pride is a premium, premium product. We don't sell this, but we recommend it. When we send out our Welcome to Boogie emails and for recommended top dressings to use along with the compost tea, this is our top of the list.
This is the highest grade top dressing on the market today, bar none. And let me tell you why. One of the secret ingredients, or not so secret, another mark, another master mark, mark the...
owner of GreenGrow who makes this, figured out years ago, because he's a genius, that fermented biochar, a living, active, and somewhat fermented, like sitting there stewing biochar, and I'm not sure how he stews it, there's some secrets here, is the base that's used along with, well it's not the base, it is a base ingredient that's used with the base ingredients of the guano powders, your typical high octane. you know, nitrogen rich and phosphorus in bloom rich bat and seabird guano powders and some of the other goodies. He also loads it up with mycorrhizae.
The reason he does that is fungi act as massive phosphorus digesting releasers. Fungi, there's some sort of hyphal link there. I don't know the science, but I know it works. So it's not, they don't just put all these species in there to make the product sound sexier. There is some actual reason seasoning to it.
So nature's probably a very affordable product, you know, even though it's the highest grade one there is. But you can go cheaper, you can get, you know, a similar result, I believe, to Master Mark's program. But once again, if you want to follow Master Mark, do the program, get the right stuff. If you really want to follow the MM and get the guaranteed three pounds of light and all that.
Guaranteed! Well, if you do everything right. I mean, there's the environment. And then when to water, I mean, people might not get all that right.
And then the love. The love. You've got to love your girls more than all these things. How do you know they're not guys?
They better be girls. They better be girls. I don't want no male flowers. I do.
I don't care, man. That's true. Yeah, that's a good point.
When you eat it for health— But I want only girls in my real life. You don't have to worry about whether the—yeah, that's true. All right, Josh, so next ingredient he uses, of course, is your one and only Boogie Brew compost. He uses the compost tea I use myself. And if you want to learn how to spread it out, check the link down below for the best two ways to spread your compost tea out that Josh and I made in my very garden.
And again, this is not— not about pushing my products on you but yes Master Mark does use Boogie Brew as a small but vital component and he uses it weekly. Weekly? And yeah absolutely because you're keeping that whole bio cycle system going and on the baby plants too. Probably a bit more diluted maybe a 1 to 5 or even a 1 to 10 dilute.
You don't really have to worry about over fertilizing your plants with Boogie Brew. Believe it or not it tops out at I'm not kidding you 420 ppm with pure water. But, you know, less is more. You know, there's a wide range.
When you have a trillion species going into your soy, it doesn't have to be that strong. But use it regularly, once every 10 days, every two weeks minimum, weekly ideally. I'm not trying to bully you all into buying a bunch. And again, you could probably get very similar results to the MM program using your own teas.
Just a simple vermi tea recipe, some compost, some molasses, and, you know, plug and play. But make sure... Brew baby brew, use those teas, keep that soil, that living super soil alive and happy and going. Why do you think he's getting better results on round three, four, and five? He keeps doing tea every week.
It's just turning it into this amazing... goes up, the yields go up, the plant health goes up, whether you're growing tomatoes or medicinal herbs for that matter. Or if you're like me, like I used to be and you kind of neglect things, the tea is a really good first aid recipe.
Cool, so along when you make the tea you want to use properly, the proper water, like filtered water without all the chlorine in there. So also Master Mark recommends the water, so you want to talk about the watering, Josh, and the proper water? Yeah, well with water you want to teach your plants to dry out a bit all right you don't want to no plant wants to sit there and drown in water you want them really you want to run them a bit dry you know use a stoner proof moisture meter they're a couple of bucks at any hardware store this is for cannabis you know some other plants like to have more water but most of the plants that you grow in your garden they do great with very little in fact i think you did a video about how strong your plants survived right Yeah, I heard about that. So the thing is, I think, you know, letting plants dry out sometimes, depending on the plant of course, is good because it allows the roots to like go deeper and find its own water than to get weak and if you're just giving it, you know, baby feeding it all the time.
And they've proven that all the biology really repopulates itself in that drying out into a… In a demand situation because you think it's going to die and it's like, oh shit. And then you water it and all that biology just comes raging back. Yeah, right on. Yeah, absolutely. You teach them to run dry and you teach them early on, you know, you don't really, really dehydrate them, but you can get them all the way to the point where some of the lower fan leaves are drooping.
They actually love that. They actually love that. Cool. And let's talk about the water specifically. So, I mean, I don't do this in my, well, one of these things I do do and one of the things I don't.
So, you know, Master Mark also uses pH correct water also, proper temperature water. Yes. And of course, you know, no chloramine or chlorine in the water either because that's going to kill all your biology. Talk about this real quick, Josh.
There's no way the dude's getting three pounds of light without doing those basic essentials. Chlorine-free water, a pH balance with organic pH adjusters, of course. If you're doing tea...
And what's the pH, Josh? Well, actually, high pH is really good in this kind of a system. So you can go into thresholds that you'd be uncomfortable mentioning in a group, like around 7. Wow.
Yeah, 7.2, you know? And the low 7s is fine. 6.8, 6.6 to 7.4. If you...
If you're doing tea all the time and you're keeping everything alive, the good biology actually really favors it. This isn't about feeding the plant directly. It's about feeding the soil that the plant lives in.
But guess what? That soil is so efficient and so healthy and so teeming with microbes that the plant just boom. This stuff, these methods.
If you wait until the plant's hungry, we're going to talk about my 9-11 gardening system. If you practice the 9-11 rule and you wait until the plant's hungry and they And then you feed it some tea and top dressing, because the tea is going to melt the top dressing. If you use the top dressing powder, the guano powders, on a dead inert soil with chlorinated water, it's going to sit there like useless styrofoam pellets and not do much. If you use it in a living super soil and you activate it with a high octane tea like boogie brew, it's going to melt.
It's going to digest itself right into the soil and you're going to see the plant, which was getting to the point where it really needed a little extra goodies. Gobble them right up Josh gobble them right up. And yeah, he adds I think he to the water. He's adding age-old kelp No, but before that man you're moving ahead to quit Josh.
Sorry proper temperature water Yeah, I never even heard about myself because I just it just comes out of the tap I filter it and then it goes in my garden. So what's a proper temperature water for an indoor grow Josh? 72 you know like what we'd be comfortable with without it shocking the plant I mean, whatever it doesn't shock the plant and I believe don't quote me.
I believe that's in the low 70s 70s, which is what it is for tea. So yes, absolutely for indoor, there's no question he's not shocking his girls with cold water, which is all too easy to do. But yeah, he adds age old kelp.
Now I didn't have any age old, that's a good product, a good brand. I brought kelp green from Organic Ag Products. You can also use Maxi Crop.
I don't sell liquid products in a plastic container. The only plastic... But there's a concentrated powdered kelp.
Yeah, the Maxi Crop. Again, if we're going to follow Master Mark and his program, it's he uses age old kelp. All right, but that is not kelp.
...meal, that's your soluble kelp extract. So yeah, maxi crop... Super concentrated. Super, yeah, and he just uses it as directed. So, you know, we, again, this is why he's gonna have to interview the master and get more to the nitty gritty.
So then he also makes his own carb blend with simple sugar, compound sugar, and a synthesized sugar, three pounds per light. So what's this? I don't really...
Okay, so sugars, here's the thing with sugars, alright? They're not feeding the plant, they're feeding the microbes. and they get used when the soil is starting to get a bit tired, deep in the flower. Think of a marathon runner who's just putting out all his energy and getting the mile 20, and boy, we've got six more miles to go, and we want to finish with a bang.
And so to get the microbes really active you feed them sugar now He's using he doesn't say what he's using, but he's using some sort of sugar thing It's probably something he buys at the grow store. I really like of course we got our boogie bricks Don't buy my bricks, but you don't need it the bricks is like me I'm over the top the bricks is over the top right. I'm insecure.
They want the best People love my bricks, and I get big orders for it And I'm not another bricks order because it cost me a lot a lot of money to make. And, you know, I'm insecure. I want everyone to like me.
That's why I talk a lot, but I never talk poop. I would go for the worm castings before you went for the bricks. Well, you can do a sugar.
Don't use my bricks. Do this one. This is the Zuconat.
All right. This is the only truly organic, dehydrated Florida cane crystal. This is from Florida and it's 100% organic and it's a sun-dried, at low temperatures, product.
So they dehydrate it in the sun and they make... this amazing mineral rich super sugar and you can just taste it i know you want it i'm not tasting that man it's a process it's heavily cbd isolate or processed sugar man you can taste the minerals in this product it's amazing it really is so yeah for finishing and again mm doesn't state how often he's using the sugar i mean i like that he put in three pounds for um for each no the three pounds no no no no three pounds of light is what he's getting oh that's his results yeah no he's i don't think he's I don't know how much sugar he's using but we only need for bricks a quarter teaspoon a gallon for the boogie bricks and for the sucanat which is what I still recommend most of your viewers buy a teaspoon a gallon and one or two applications lay in flour. You know what I'd say that'd probably be a good idea just do in your garden sometimes to give your microbes a boost in your garden like I never heard anybody do this in gardening and I just thought about it now.
We should test we'll give here you go Josh here's your first bag of sucanat crystals. So that's it that's master Master program. Again, we will post the PDF drive from my Google PDF, my Google Drive link.
We'll post a link to it so you can, what I'm saying is download it from my drive. And it's wonderful. Follow this program because it works. Everybody I've turned this on to, this is several hundred customers at least. And how long have you been recommending this?
For about a year now. He's only recently. So this is not just something you're sharing like just as it's new, you know that this is proven by like a hundred customers in Master. Success leaves clues, alright?
Follow the clues. So does the lack of it. You know, you want to be a stoner, follow my clues, right? You want to be a successful YouTuber, follow this guy's clues, right? The success of being consistent, of being professional, of continually putting out amazing information in the YouTube universe, a free university for everyone, that leaves a lot of clues.
You know, follow someone like that. It's wonderful. And follow Master Mark's program.
program because those success clues are worth following. Wow, that's amazing Josh. We learned about Master Mark's program and hopefully you guys out there can now use it to grow better quality vegetables in pots or your own pot yourself. Absolutely. Cool, so Josh, any other final words or comments or wisdom you'd like to share with my viewers today before we sign off?
Go to the next epilogue, the add-on video to this. The next episode we're going to do it Josh. Yeah, which I'm going to come back up on how to do the 9-11 and it's… And that's when to feed.
Yeah, when to feed, when your plants will tell you when to feed with Josh's own 9-11 program. And this will work for medicinal herbs or any other plants in your garden actually. Absolutely, yeah, and prevent, you'll never have to worry about over fertilizing again, they'll get everything they need and nothing they don't. And that's clearly what the Master Mark program does for you. It gives your plants everything they need and nothing they don't, and all very cost effectively.
Wow, awesome. So yeah, once again, link is down below to download that from Josh's Google Drive or whatever link you send. And here's the thing man, if you guys enjoyed this episode, hey please be sure to give this video a thumbs up, you know, the more thumbs ups, like a thousand, then hopefully we'll get Master Mike to let me in his seat.
Master Mark. There's a Mike too, there's a Mike, we have a Master Mike, yeah, yeah. Master Mark into his grove so I can share that with you and share really coming from the horse's mouth himself. I really look forward to that.
Also be sure to share this with others, right? Super important, share it on your cannabis forum, share it wherever you go for knowledge and so other people could be aware of this too and learn about this program that could drastically increase their yields and production, which I think is amazing. one day when it's legal, federally I'm going to be growing it and using Master Mark's program and probably even making it better.

Money's like manure, spread it around and even more so knowledge. So he's begging you to share this. You know he's never been in this for the money He's one of the only youtubers with massive audience the most successful gardening channel He's not really making much money off of it.
