This lecture introduces Quest, the University of Waterloo's student information system, including its main features, access methods, and important account requirements.
What is Quest?
- Quest is the University of Waterloo's online student information system.
- Quest is available 24/7 except Wednesdays 7โ8 a.m. ET for maintenance.
Quest Access and Maintenance
- Access Quest via desktop computer or mobile device.
- Scheduled maintenance may result in Quest downtime on specific dates.
Features for Future Students
- View personal contact information, application status, transcripts, and undergraduate test scores on both mobile and desktop.
Features for Current Students
- Enrol in courses and change personal contact info.
- View class schedule, tuition fees, account summaries, tax receipts, and financial aid.
- Access student record information through both desktop and mobile.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Requirement
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) is mandatory for students and alumni to access Quest.
- Users not enrolled in 2FA will be denied access.
- Applicants are not required to use 2FA.

- The Centre is located at Needles Hall, first floor.
- Operating hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. โ 4:30 p.m. ET.
