hello everybody welcome to the last chapter of new kid i can't believe we're on the last chapter i'm gonna cry well before i start shedding the tears and before i start reading let's do a review of the last chapter so the main event of this chapter you could say happened right at the beginning miss rawl read jordan's journal went through his sketches and he was not happy like what happened in chapter 12 he stood up for himself he explained his thoughts and his feelings to miss rawl and hopefully she can understand his last thing that she said the last thing he said to him seemed to have stuck saying would she go teach at a school in his neighborhood how would she feel about that and then he finally embraced his new art class and the teacher loved what he drew or what he painted so let's see what happens at the end of the book chapter 14 rad men this is a reference to the tv show i think it's called mad men i know the reference i just can't think of the exact name two weeks later you think it's faster the flash or quicksilver oh that's easy the flash who would win wolverine or deadpool that's tough i'm gonna say wolverine batman or the black panther i think that one's a tie and speaking of superheroes don't forget my personal protector jordan banks defender of the universe mild-mannered cartoonist by day bloodthirsty vigilante by night oh geez not this again come on it's time for lunch for real though you got my two-week suspension down to a study hall and don't forget that jordan also got a study hall yeah who knew we're not allowed to climb on tables and scream jordan banks is nobody's puppet puppet i'll meet you guys at lunch there's something i gotta do another rescue mission batman hopefully look at this after the entire book jordan say he wishes he was batman and now his friends are calling him a superhero interesting hey ashley wait up oh hi jordan so um wanna know why alexandra wears a puppet on her hand you mean it's not just because she's like insane no she's not just promise me not to tell anyone okay you know me jordan yeah i do whisper whisper really and just like that ashley was off to pollinate her flowers with her own sweet sweet brand of gossip metaphor omg ruby tessa sophie listen to this the next day there she is hi alexandra you know my name of course we do it's so cool how you saved your brother's life what wait how did jordan did you really pull your mother out of a burning building do you really only have three fingers show us your scars is it gross i'll bet it is hey everyone i have a scar too anyone want to see no graham come on already show us okay and there it is that's it we got all worked up over a boo-boo i got a worse scar on my elbow you don't see me wearing any stupid puppets well it really hurt did jordan tell you the whole story there you are jordan uh oh he is in trouble now when i told you that you could tell one person i assumed it would be drew or liam but you knew ashley would tell everyone pretty smart at first i was so mad i wanted to beat you up um i think the school has a no beat up policy then i realized you did this to try to help me i wanted to give you a hug i'm pretty sure there's a no hugging policy too then i'll just say thanks unless there's a policy on that too nah that's cool it is he helped alexandra get over her fear of having to hide the scar what a guy the next few weeks were a blur studying for finals taking finals more studying more finals i had finally made it to the last day oh my gosh jordan is that you no way tata he's wearing the stupid pink shorts that he never liked whoa where's the hoodie are those the shorts i gave you yep but don't get excited this is a one-shot deal i am definitely posting this jordan when you're done may i see you for a moment hi miss lee is everything all right yes fine i just wanted to give you give this to you personally cool the yearbook wait is that my painting it sure is i hope you don't mind but i wanted to surprise you i also wanted to thank you for giving my class a chance i know it wasn't quite what you wanted true but it turned out to be okay i'll let you get back to your friends have a great summer oh and don't forget what i told you about the paris trip i won't thanks look at that when he finally embraced his art class and made his painting it was so good that it got put on the yearbook should be thanking you so um my family goes away every summer they said that i could invite a friend not sure where yet but if you want to come just don't judge me dude i am totally judging you just know i'm going to have a talk with my grandmother this pie is really good on one hand i feel like i learned a lot which is why i came here but on the other hand i almost got suspended even though i made honor row every semester i'm not sure i can get over that but grandma's old school so she wants me to tough it out she says that this is what the world is like so i might be stuck here for the long haul hey guys here jordan i want you to have oscar oh thanks alex no more puppets thanks to you well not on my hand anyway it still may be a while till i stop wearing long sleeves though i'll miss you looks like i'm not the only one with a girlfriend oh don't even thanks for everything i don't think i could have done it without you man same but you're not gonna hug me are you no why would baby's last day so i wanted to be here what you look so grown baby the shorts the colors and you even gave your hoodie the day off well the shorts are kind of a joke so don't worry and it's finally warm enough not to wear my hoodie nah that's not it your mom is right you do look different maybe it's your body language whatever it is you look like a new kid you know i feel kind of like a new kid not that we don't love the old kid oh i know mom what you got jay a present from drew well that was nice of him and it's the mean streets of south uptown the book that is basically a inside joke nah they're not pink they're sit yeah they're pink uh i got a spare pair of shorts in my bag cool thanks kenny nah man thank you my grandpa always says that friends are like training wheels for a bike they always keep you from falling down that's a metaphor i learned about them in english actually jordan that's a simile yeah come on private school everybody knows that and that is the end of the book there's the author jerry craft ah this was a great ending to the book i think you see that all of his friends that he thought he was going to be losing don't care that he's at this new school wearing these strange clothes they've been friends for life and they're always going to be friends and we saw here jordan and drew obviously going to be friends for a long time him and liam are going to go on a trip this summer and he even ended up being nice to andy and i think that the end of this school year may change andy because you see he was sad he realizing that he's realizing that nobody liked him really because he was a jerk look how he lit up when jordan signed his yearbook just one small act like that can really change somebody alexandra gave him oscar for helping her out with her burn problem everyone throughout the school year said bye to him there's a great ending i really like this book and there's actually a sequel that just came out a new book that takes place right after this i think it's called first class and instead of the black cover i'm pretty sure it's a red cover called first class i've seen it at target and walmart and barnes and noble if anybody is interested go there christmas is coming up ask it ask for it for a christmas gift but like always end with a question so down in the comments section below type your two biggest takeaways from this book what did you learn about life how you should treat people um any vocabulary words anything new or if this book made you realize something about yourself because that's what a great book will do you'll come out
