I gave myself 1 minute to make a Discord server then 10 minutes to make another one and then finally 1 hour to make the best Discord server I could in the time given I don't know about you but 1 hour is not a lot of time to make a whole server let alone 1 minute and just be clear not only do I have to make the server I've also got to make graphics for it as well that's something I'd like to get done but I'm probably going to reserve that for the 1 hour server for obvious reasons okay so I have no idea how much I'm going to get done in 1 minute but let's find out together shall we 3 2 1 go right straight off the bat already doing this wrong uh whatever I'm just going to call it that because I'm recording it's just completely ruined my name anyway not going to talk much because I need to get things [Music] done okay I'm done with that I don't have enough time so I want to get some rolls done so I'm going to do that really quickly I never uses colors right here but I've got to do that in a time like this I've not even got any time to set up the permissions um let's create one voice Channel if I can there we go all right so I'm not in the least bit surprised I think the message we should take away from this is 1 minute is not enough time to make a Discord server so just got the very basic channels right here I wasn't really thinking about what I was doing I just didn't have time to think really so I just made some channels and some basic roles with absolutely no permissions at the moment so this wouldn't be very good server but if you want to make a good server we're going to need at least 10 minutes so with that said it's time to move on to the 10-minute Discord server so let's begin 3 2 1 go all right this time I'm going to give this a server name luckily I got practice here and yet I'm still being very slow um I'm going to call this um Panther Valley or something I don't know I don't really like that name much but I've not got enough time to worry about that I don't think people are going to complain that they're in a server called Panther Valley to be honest and that I want to spice these up a bit so I'm going to use my server making assess pack that I got right here cuz in that I've got this nice document here with these characters and you can just copy it like that and as you can see it's got this very nice character the in now and I think it looks really nice now I'm not going to worry about Channel topics [Music] [Music] now I've got to actually set up some permission so people can't talk in those channels let's do that now if you're wondering why I'm not making a members role it's only because of on boarding and all that stuff which I'm not necessarily going to have time for this server anyway all right so really disc thank you I hate this why okay what cuz I just went with the everyone roll the permission is already set up so that's pretty nice I don't want members seeing here sorry I do want them to see that I just don't want them to send any messages there we go okay I've almost made it to the halfway point made some pretty good progress I'd say I know I'm adding a South R Channel I'm not actually going to have time to actually Implement any South rolls but regardless I'm going to get done what I can oops what Earth is that all right let's make a staff Channel no one's going to be able to see that except staff and Bs cool all right there we go personally I like to put the welcome Channel outside the information category I just like it at the top looks nice in my opinion honestly I'm not sure what else to do here which isn't really great well I've got to set up some message of some sort let's do all right just over 3 minutes to go all right I'm not sure what else to do so I'm just going to add some information about the roles why not not I've got many now that's question am I actually going to add you know what I've got over two minutes I'm going to add another bot hopefully I don't have to log in while I'm doing that I hate when I have to do that that's right I have no idea how I actually had the bot through the server I don't know if I'm just blind or something please don't make me log in oh thank you I usually have to log in there and it's ridiculous all right I added a box roll usually I would get rid of this R right here I just generated this one down here I don't like that but haven't got time to un click all those permissions there you go well that was EAS I thought there we go basically you got to count the right number if you count four that's not right if you count one there you go I can't count again but if uh someone types two that will keep the chain going I always like to use in beds I don't like not using in beds but I think it looks pretty nice right there cuz I'm really not sure what else to do add a channel topic to here maybe boring but I'm just going to finish that that anyway right about 15 seconds to go literally for the last 8 seconds I'm not going to get anything done but that's cool actually no I'm going to get myself the owner roll and there we go all right time up IAD to be honest for 10 minutes I think I did pretty good as I said I like using embeds all the time for these information channels and all that but honestly I think it looks pretty decent to be honest got some information about the server even set up this news even though it's kind of pointless but anyway we've even got a mini game here already a massive upgrade however there's a lot more I want to do and to be able to do all that I'm going to need 1 hour this is the this bot before but I really like using it I have it in my own server all right I actually forget what the um command is um it's kind of awkward um oh yeah whatever I'll just use that one right there all right so when me join that it's going to take me to this voice channel here and when I leave it when everyone's left it it disappears it's a pretty cool bot I would love to talk more about it but I've not really got the time to do that and you know what I can add a mini games category as well like for that counter bot that I just added before in fact while I think of it I'm going to add it right now no reason to delay it I've still got 52 minutes left I just look at that time and I think wow I didn't even realize I had that much time left and come back to this branding and all that later focus on all the channels and rolls for now okay this is where I'm going to use another one of those symbols in this Ser making ass pack the characters document looks a bit nicer than the hen in my opinion okay all right I'm starting to stutter a bit I need to really get a move on here right there any other channels I want add here don't think there is what are the counting Channel now I don't actually know how many um mini game Bots I'm going to add I might add the ainat bot that's one I like to use if fact in case I do want to add it I'm going to add the channel right now and I'm going to add a level spot as well I tend to just use arcan right here actually no I don't I use this spot here Polaris Polaris however you say it that's not the one either oh okay um I did not know it was discontinu well I awkward okay I guess I'm using arcade I think I'm done with all the channels right now so I'm going to go to here I'm going to make some leveling roles and I'm actually going to use my server making assets pack again cuz there's this thing in it called theasaurus now it's going to be blurred here but it's got a bunch of words in it I could be used for creating server names and server rolls that's usually how I make my server names and the server rolls as well okay I like that word right there Aura however you say it much easier than trying to come up with one off the top of my head particularly cuz I'm going to have quite a few of these rolls I wish I could like make roll icons stuff like that but I've not got any boost in my server at the moment it's a bit too new for that right now what I'm doing is accounting rolls I'm going to actually set those up in a bit and one final Emoji what am I going to use and why is it up there jeez I really think too much about this don't I all right let's give it that oh God I got to do two more I didn't even realize okay um wow okay what next all right so I've actually got to set up these rolls let's do that basically when you count a certain amount of times in the counting Channel it will give you a certain rle so if you count 150 times it will give you this rle right here which is only cosmetic raw that's all it's supposed to be anyway I think what I'm going to do now is I'm going to start making some graphics for This Server I'm not even sure what on Earth I'm going to do here so I'm just going to make stuff up as I go along I'm pretty much just making something like really similar to the tutorial that I made if I had more time I would do something more than just give it some text but I suppose I could try something no idea what though in fact you know what I'm going to spend some time actually making a proper logo design here yeah I'm not actually a fan of this really I just was going to get rid of all that all right this is where things became really intense I really am worried about it too much I don't need to worry about like that but whatever all right looks nice didn't this is where it gets confusing actually setting up the uh reactions this is where I'm going to need a lot of time in fact I don't even have time to set up I'm not going to worry about that I'm going to do some other things first and by first I mean I'm not even going to do this at all I'd have to invite a separate bot set up all the buttons and all that you know what I feel like that's more important than anything else so I'm going to do that oops this is in completely the wrong Channel definitely want to sort that out before I add the buttons that would be really annoying now these in beds are a bit too close to each other I think it works all right here so I'm going to keep it like that but for here I want to have them separate I've got separate headers in fact I completely forgot to do separate headers here see there's way need more time because I didn't have time to think about all that right I've got to fix all these up now okay great um oh God what am I doing now right I want bed there and there okay right I'm getting real panicky now cuz I've only got about 7 minutes yeah so the Eds actually look quite nice next to each other but I realized I completely forgot the headers I knew something was up right rolls go rolls okay perfect but as I said I'm going to want to actually space these apart so I'm going to use a trick which is by making an emoji that is invisible I sound very weird I actually went over this in a tutorial before so you can check that out if you want to understand what on Earth I'm doing here but you'll see the magic happen in a minute there we go now it's separated part there we go perfect now it's got some space in between it because of this Emoji let's do the same here cool all right I've got about 5 minutes left hopefully I've even get any messages done or anything like that just some rolls and channels very basic with the 10-minute server got all this done pretty nice and the 1 hour server yeah that's looking a lot better than the other two and I've actually got some embeds done with some headers got my own logo here got some bullet points all that stuff honestly an hour is not a lot of time to make a Discord server if you've got practice making a lot of servers then it's a bit easier I could have really optimized my time and just use some regular bullet points I don't know I like the visual touch anyway so welcome rules rolls yeah pretty good news channel got the South rolls and let's actually give that a demonstration so right now I've only got the owner Ro let's just pretend I was a member and say I want to get notified about news there you go I got the notified about news roles there you go that's how soft rolls work anyway got the giveaways channel it's not actually supposed to have all this in it ideally I would have put this in this channel here but whatever even got a game here and we've got a temporary voice chat which we didn't have on the other servers oh that's right I forgot to put the miname channels in the mini games category to be honest I would actually just remove the category if I had a lot more time I would have noticed that but yeah so I'm pretty proud of what I got done in 1 hour key takeways you're definitely going to need a lot more than 1 minute 10 minutes you can get a decent server going to be honest it's perfectly functional come to think of it so yeah 10 minutes actually is enough to make a Discord server however if you want a really good-looking Discord server you're going to need at least 1 hour so that was quite stressful but that was was a lot of fun hope
