he this is a 50 lb bucket of 3 in tablets and generally the 50 lb bucket is your best deal when you buy them and not all brands are equal the cheaper the brand the more paste they have and the quicker they may melt if they have less paste uh so get a good brand pool season's good and also lesli's pools has a really good tablet that they sell there also you don't want to stor them in your garage because it's it is an oxidizer there is acid in them so it'll probably rust some of your metal in your garage over time I store all my custom outside and there's no problem with water getting in there if you have the lid on tight and you can put them in a floater such as this that just goes in your pool now how many tabs you put in a week um it's generally depends on how hot the water gets size of the pool so what you need to do is just fill it up with more than you think you need this one here I had three in last week and then they'll melt and so this is what's left over from 1 week and the water temperature is about 75 so it's not that hot so they melt um quicker and hotter water of course so generally you want to you don't want this thing to go empty so good rule of thumb is fill it up until you have some residue after a week otherwise if it goes empty within one day you could lose all your free chlorine your pool will form algae and also the tablets have an acid in them so they do eat through the chlorinator over time and you can adjust the chlorinator most have an adjustment like this or has holes in it you can adjust so I'm going to go put three three tablets in this one I'll put the residue back on top we'll put it back in the pool it's very important that the lid locks onto your chlorinator if your lid is no longer locking replace it right away if one of these tablets were to fall into the bottom of the pool it'll leave a real nasty stain in there since it does have acid since it does have acid in it it'll actually stain the plaster okay you generally don't want to put a tablet in your skimmer and let it disolve in there what happens if the pool turns off when the pool turns off the acid level in the tablet will build up in the small area and then when you turn your system on all that acid will get sucked through your equipment and it could call cause corrosion and you can also add 3-in tablets to an offline chlorinator such as this rainbow model 300 it's the most efficient way to actually get the tablets to dissolve and distribute the chlorine evenly in your pool and there may not be a residue in there because they melt really good in this chlorinator so make sure your chlorine level is 3.0 or above when you have one of these rainbow chlorinators that's a good idea to tie your float down if it sits on a step like this it'll just stain out the plaster all on the top step so it's a good idea to to tie your floater down in the deep in so it won't sit on right there like that on your steps and these trior tablets also have acid in them so your pH will generally drift a little bit low and the acid demand will be lower since the tablets release acid as they melt if you have a vinyl or fiberglass pool definitely you're going to need some pH Up soda add a because the acid demand in the fiberglass and a vinyl pool is very low so the tablet will definitely lower the ph to a dangerous level and these trior tablets also have a conditioner stabilizer in them so you won't need to add conditioner to your pool if you use them all year round very rarely will you need conditioner if you're using these tablets in your pool all year round and you'll definitely need these tablets if you want your pool to maintain a good free chlorine level all week long and so this is what loer actually just broke when I went to go change the tablets the bottom just came out and the tablets fell into the pool so it does they do get old and I carry spare floaters in my truck replace them on the spot and it's a good idea to tie it down that way it doesn't drift over to the steps like I mentioned earlier and if you have nowhere to tie it you can always tie it right here into this the uh skimmer lid just put a string here and tie it in here you can let it float right there in front of the skimmer
