Trump Lawsuit Over WSJ Report

Donald Trump has made good on his threat to sue Rert Murdoch and the Wall Street Journal after it reported on a letter that Trump allegedly sent to renowned pedophile and financeier Jeffrey Epstein for his birthday in 2003. Late on Thursday night, the Wall Street Journal reported, quote, "The letter bearing Trump's name, which was reviewed by the journal, is borders in the album. It contains several lines of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman which appears to be handdrawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the woman's breasts and the future president's signature is a squiggly Donald below her waist mimicking pubic hair. The letter concludes, "Happy birthday, and may every day be another wonderful secret." End quote. Well, the White House and Trump have slammed this article and the letter as fake with Trump saying that he doesn't use that kind of language and quote, "I never wrote a picture in my life. I don't draw pictures of women." End quote. The lawsuit has been filed in southern Florida, a strategic cho choice from Trump's legal team there. Well, elsewhere, Trump's government has asked a judge to unseal grand jury testimony pertaining to Jeffrey Epstein as Trump looks to get a handle on the ballooning story surrounding the government held information on the now dead predator. Trump's Department of Justice argues to that the testimony is in public interest. But Trump hopes the release will quiet the growing chorus of his supporters calling for information to be released. But it's unclear whether a judge will allow seal testimony to be released. And even if it is, it's unlikely to reveal any more details of people beyond Jeffrey Epstein and his wife Gileain Maxwell. Now, Trump's base wants the release of the so-called Epstein client list, a list that Trump's own Department of Justice says uh does not exist despite years of right-wing conspiracies fanned in part by Trump and others who now hold high positions within the American judicial apparatus. But answers won't come quickly. It could take weeks, months, or even years for this information to come to light. And that's if it does at all. Trump's critics say that this is a diversion and delay tactic to appease his base, whilst distracting from any alleged mention of Trump in the Epstein files.
