You can upload original images or photos into Scratch as sprites

Cropping and Editing Images
Crop to focus on specific parts (e.g., crop out just the moon)
Use the Eraser tool to remove unwanted pixels carefully
Use the Select tool to delete large unwanted areas
Drawing Modes in Scratch
