Timmy loves Minecraft he loves playing Minecraft so much he has his Hardcore Minecraft World open all the time and never turns off his computer he runs his Farms keeps working on his villager trading and continues the rare hunt for ender pearls to eventually fight the dragon unfortunately Timmy and his family died in a car accident but left his computer running with his Minecraft world still going a few days later his in-game character was killed by a zombie that was able to get in through the roof but the world continued to run his real life house later that week was discovered to have inextricable toxic mold and the house was scheduled to be destroyed power was never cut off from the house prior to bulldozing due to a glitch in accounting at the power company so his Minecraft world stayed on before scheduled destruction commenced miraculously the largest geological pit on Earth which was just under his house lost pressure and pulled the house down falling deep into the geological sinkhole what was unknown to people at the time time was just how deep this geological pit went as gas pressure Spilled Out of the pit where Timmy's house used to be the house continued to get pulled deeper and deeper into the Earth's crust approaching the bottom of the pit with increasing velocity until what was left of the house landed somewhere near the bottom of the Earth's crust near the Earth's mantle the house was assumed to have been completely incinerated but a portion of it Timmy's room actually survived cradled in a pit of metal close to the Earth's mantle as the house had sunk the internal battery on Timmy's laptop kept his Minecraft world running through additional miraculous circumstances somehow his laptop power cord became infused with the metal surrounding Timmy's room which powered the cord through the continual heat bubbling up from the Earth's mantle a side effect of this strange geology going on in this area was that the tectonic plates surrounding it were very stable this would allow the portion of Timmy's house to remain undestroed all the while the Minecraft world continued to run a billion years after this point human civilization was long gone Earth's surface was a scorched hellscape about to be obliterated by our son's Supernova but being at the bottom of the Earth's crust Timmy's room was protected against what was going on at the surface and the computer was running at hot but sustainable temperatures until the sun went supernova and obliterated Earth fortunately the metal and rocks surrounding Timmy's room was not broken apart but blasted away as an intact asteroid with Timmy's room at the center of it hurtling through space with stored thermal energy the asteroid was large enough for this thermal energy within the layers of rock and metal powering the laptop to last a few million years but it wasn't going to last forever fortunately the asteroid fell into close orbit around a white dwarf which is usually the dead core of a star that has already gone Supernova white dwarfs are theorized to be the last objects that will endure as the universe breaks down to survive the heat death of the universe for longer than any object save black holes themselves and for unfathomable amounts of time to the Practical end of the universe the asteroid kept in close orbit with the white dwarf receiving energy and warmth and for all of time Timmy's Minecraft world continued to run this is the story of what happened inside of that Minecraft world Minecraft's characteristics in so many ways defies our minds attempts to understand the various levels of depth that it reaches in practice and in theory by so many different metrics in the previous episode investigating ways in which Minecraft could beat itself we took a Minecraft world without people all the possible outcomes and focused on specific timelines in which incredibly significant events happen but rather than that what is most likely to happen if Herobrine took everyone who was playing Minecraft right now and made them disappear like it's the goddamn Minecraft Rapture and our computers stayed on till the end of time what would be the ultimate fate of those worlds given enough time would anything interesting happen to a Minecraft world if it was left to run for an infinite or unfathomable span of time like in the previous experiment we're modifying the rules of Minecraft from normal mechanics to intended mechanics if we had infinite computing power and infinite time the entire world 60 million by 60 million perimeter is loaded all entities are processing and instead of player localized mob spawns are worldwide localized spawning everywhere so that everywhere it looks like mob spawning that happens around the player for both night and day with that let's start the clock on a world that runs forever and see where it takes us there's so many elements of Minecraft that are dependent upon the player that if the world was left to its own devices that they would all meet a dismal fate before it even began all rare blocks and items or non-rare blocks and items for that matter that do not naturally generate will never see the light of day a beacon will never hit the sky a hopper will never transport items but beyond the blaringly obvious what naturally generating resources blocks and natural species would immediately start having trouble the first and foremost is the villages the villagers need you so badly they were screwed before the illiger update they're even screwed in peaceful mode first off a fully loaded Minecraft world would allow illagers to Target Village after village with raids raids that villagers are hard-pressed to survive even with you present without it the illagers would continue to slay iron golems and villagers until there was nothing left prior to the illager update nighttime and the occasional Zombie Siege would similarly slay villagers faster than they could reproduce especially on hard mode where they can break the doors without hard mode not every villager actually manages to make it inside their programming pathfinding of them running into their houses at night doesn't always go off without a hitch not to mention armored zombies during the day picking off villager after villager until nothing is left but with the absence of all hostile mobs in what's supposed to be the happy ending peaceful mode why is the future of villagers still complete Extinction the first step is lightning storms apply enough time and lightning strikes will eventually hit set fire and Destroy every single house in a village until they have no homes left to speak of lightning is one of the huge erasing factors in this deep look into Minecraft time because forests do not naturally generate without the player replanting their saplings without the player the forests are doomed lightning strikes will eventually burn down every single flammable block on the surface which aside from villager houses includes all trees with logs and leaves so villagers are homeless in this peaceful world but how would they actually die they could get struck by lightning slowly but there's actually something that could kill them much faster accidents with gravity even if it's just half a heart per year every villager will eventually take fall damage in its various pathfinding exploration routes with no way to regenerate their health through the passage of large spans of time and small mistakes here and there every villager will eventually die but let's go back to the non-peaceful world where the villagers and iron golems die much quicker to the skeletons zombies and illagers every villager in Iron Golem is dead and most of the forests are burned down and continuing to burn soon there will be no wood left save for naturally generating wood in abandoned mine shafts what would happen next with no Villages left villagers would no longer be able to spawn through raids however even if their outposts and Woodland Mansions are burned down their spotting mechanics are not defined by the structure but by a spawning box centered around the structure meaning they'll still be able to spawn in their local homelands for now the next wave of death in a Minecraft after people that we could expect is pretty much everything all passive mobs that Spawn from chunk generation and do not spawn naturally preceding that event sheep wolves cows all the mobs that have a one-time generation upon the world first appearing would meet the same fate as the villagers in peaceful mode through various accidents mostly random small amounts of fall damage all of them would eventually perish all except the two mobs that don't take fall damage the chicken and the ocelot but the chicken are hunted by the various mobs of this type throughout the game leaving them to perish much so sooner than the slow accidental fall damage category even if somehow chickens managed to outlive their predators due to the Predators slowly dying from Fall damage the ocelot is also a predator that hunts chickens meaning the chickens in Minecraft will eventually perish until all that's left is the rare chicken jockey a baby zombie riding a chicken which would spawn at night but while baby zombies used to not burn in sunlight in the past they do now leaving the chicken alone to be hunted by the ocelots and even if they didn't ocelots will literally kill the chicken while the baby zombie is riding him which means chickens will rarely appear only to be killed again but what about the ocelot their spawning is not tied to World Generation but to certain y levels in certain biomes and they don't take fall damage they don't drown when swimming unless trapped underwater and they repel creepers so it's very unlikely for a cat to take damage from them could ocelots end up inheriting the Minecraft Earth maybe there's a recent addition to Minecraft the warden I tested it and they in indeed do kill ocelots broke my heart to watch it it's a shame because the warden has no eyes and makes its decisions to kill based on hearing and movement vibrations in previous Minecraft versions cats are loud and meowing but before they were tamed ocelots were completely silent that combined with their tip-toeing nature should allow ocelots to remain undetected by the warden dick move Mojang so as it stands the warden slowly exterminates ocelots but they continue to respawn in their natural habitats for now so we've now reached a point in Minecraft where the world is quite Barren and quite dark everything we love that's bright and happy is dead forests are dead villagers dead sweet cute adorable puppies dead sheep pigs and everything else that puts a light in our hearts and some color to This World Gone Forever never to return only wild cats are left in addition to all hostile mobs pillagers and sea life but it would seem at this point now that lightning gravity evil and Undead have destroyed everything non-renewable above the surface that there's nowhere else to go with this experiment right just wait in the last video we explored the incredible game-changing Randomness that can be brought to the worlds by Enderman when their block placing eventually allows incredible things to happen given enough time and given enough Infinity World attempts but now it's time to explore what is more likely to happen with enderman's destructive counterpart the creeper without the player a creeper's options for being enticed to explode are limited Snow Golems as we explored in last video can naturally be spawned by Enderman but carved pumpkins are a non-renewable resource that generates very rarely in the world so on the scale of deep time through spawning snow golems that are being destroyed by other means carved pumpkins would be gone quite quickly in their absence what could cause a creeper to explode there's only one source that could potentially make a creeper explode that would be continued newly present throughout this condition of the world pretty much forever the skeleton skeletons do not attack creepers but they can accidentally hit creepers if they're trying to attack something else but with everything we love killed from the game what is left that could possibly entice skeletons to fire arrows the warden first off can the warden spawn naturally from my research it seems that he can any noise will entice the Shrieker boxes to spawn one including non-player noises even down to the Flying round of bats inside of these ancient cities so wardens are going to spawn and because they fight pretty much everything this seemingly inactive world where Undead mobs just walk around at night with nothing left to fight or kill will actually be more active than you would expect skeletons are not naturally aggressive to the warden but wardens are to skeletons if the warden decides to melee attack the skeleton it's going to be a one shot and there will be no fight thus no fired arrows unless the skeleton is armored but if the warden is enticed to chase something up to the surface then decides to hit the skeleton with its long range beam which is often the case the skeleton Will Survive that and shoot arrows in return and so we have our rarely occurring skeleton Warden battles some of which a skeleton will accidentally shoot a creeper the creeper will explode on the skeleton and we have an explosion which will remove some blocks from the world now because Undead mobs don't spawn in ancient cities the Shrieker boxes that cause wardens to spawn will be somewhat more protected from this phenomenon you would need a skeleton and a creeper to wander far enough in and for the explosion to take out one of the boxes because the train outside of the ancient cities is more likely to be destroyed wardens would spawn for a long long time causing havoc and the rare Creeper explosion as the world slowly gets more and more worn down eating away at itself until all surface dirt is destroyed and the stone slowly gets weathered away by creeper explosions over millions billions perhaps trillions of years but it might be faster than you think because with all the time passing lightning strikes are still occurring often hitting Creepers on the surface who do not die during the day as they don't burn in sunlight just waiting for the accidental Arrow to hit them meaning it might be even more likely than not given so much time that creepers will be charged by lightning strikes it could even be most creepers meaning that each time this explosion happens it takes out a substantial amount of terrain shortening the time that it takes for this process to wear the entire Minecraft world down as it all goes down the first thing this process eliminates are illagers and ocelots natural spawning spots among lightning strikes and Charged Creeper explosions both of which could eventually kill them the remaining illichers and ocelots once the terrain has moved below their natural spawning levels would have to contend with the spawning wardens wandering around the world killing everyone and would be very unlikely to survive this reign of warden Terror would not last forever the world would continually get worn down until we reached the level of ancient cities by which time most Shrieker boxes would have been destroyed by creepers at this point with the rest of them exposed the remaining Shrieker boxes would eventually be destroyed making the warden extinct and the creeper explosions stop now that half of the world of Minecraft has been destroyed and the Very mechanic that was destroying it eventually destroys itself what takes place next if any ocelots have survived congratulations you out survived all your predators and will live the rest of your life in peace with the undead mobs that will continue to spawn now with no enemies left to fight except that this is not true remember the naturally lighting nether portal science that we explored in the last video if you didn't see it basically Enderman can actually create nether portal frames out of lava in astronomically rare chains of events the events have to happen perfectly if you turn the wrong block into obsidian then there's no way to remove it and your frame attempt is ruined but with the help of generation Shenanigans and the gigantic size of a Minecraft world it can be safe to assume that a couple portals or more would be naturally generated by Enderman over the vast expanse of space of the Minecraft world and time that we've already covered if this is the case we would need a way for the nether portal to be safe from creeper explosions being very close to a water source will do it in most situations but but even if it doesn't and the portal is shut down by an explosion it can always be re-lit by a lightning strike but since the nether portal would eventually be in the air with lowering terrain it would need to be around or directly above a water source for nether mobs to survive the fall or low enough to bedrock if we have even one naturally generated portal per World reach these conditions then we have a way for erosion to continue with this nether portal being above or near water or Bedrock anything that comes out of it will survive the fall and descend with the flowing water no matter how much the train changes around it one nether mob that attacks skeletons on site is zoglins unfortunately zoglins are hard to create even for the player they don't naturally generate anywhere and the hoglands that transform into them only do so when in the Overworld but are scared of nether portals and run away from them but all it takes is a ledge overlooking the nether portal which when considering the terrain of the nether will happen almost more often than not and a hogland to be pushed down accidentally touching the nether portal when it lands so it's incredibly rare but remember that this experiment has infinite time if another portal exists zoglins will eventually come out of it zaklin's zombifies seconds after they enter the Overworld and that makes them hostile to almost everything including skeletons so even if one nether portal remains safe from creeper explosions but continually over expanses of time has zoglins wandering out of it you would have zoglin's skeleton battles where a missed Arrow would eventually hit a creeper creepers are waiting so long for this you can expect almost all of them to be charged by lightning at this point but still much slower than the warden mechanic with one or a few protected Nether Portals per world the world would continue to wear down from creeper explosions but one thing that interrupts this is zoglin's inability to get very far they wouldn't be able to get very far in the world even if they spawned out at morning and had 10 minutes to wander out before Undead dead spawns commenced but this radius where the fights were taking place would eventually wear down to bedrock preventing spawns and allowing zoglins to wander up and out of this spreading hole farther and farther as the terrain continued to wear down over unfathomable stretches of time likely comparable to the total lifespan of our real Universe zocklins would continue to wage war with skeletons hitting charged creepers until the spreading unspawnable Bedrock Circle consumed the entire 60 million by 60 million radius of a Minecraft world one day the last Undead mob would spawn before its final spawning block would be destroyed by the last creeper the zoglins will have won their global war with the skeletons and cheering among the zoglins would ensue with no one left to kill zoglins they would continue to pour into this pure Bedrock world with the occasional island of blocks protected by water or lava until the entire world was to the brim with quadrillions of them an end state of total disorder and miserable living conditions for these Undead pigs missing their Homeland for most Minecraft worlds that ending or the ending where it stops at Deep slate once all wardens spawning has stopped might be the ultimate fate of Minecraft worlds if left the ravages of infinite time but for some Minecraft worlds towards the end of the zoglin's onslaught on the skeletons there could be an explosion near a portal that shuts it off not a problem since it will eventually be relit with lightning except for the fact that the final explosion eliminated some stone blocks and changed the water flow that water flow could then flow through the portal permanently which would cancel all future zoglin reinforcements still there will be enough zoglins in the world to finish its work of triggering Creeper explosions to eliminate the remaining terrain zoglin still win but their source of spawning has been cut off with this in mind the remaining zoglins will then slowly suffer the same fate as the mobs from the previous Minecraft Triassic era eventual death from Gravity via fall damage once they're all dead Minecraft will be nothing but Bedrock oceans the occasional block mountain covered in water or lava and all the Aquatic Life that spawns in the water and a few cats if they manage to survive billions of years of wardens and then charged creepers a few wild cats will inherit a world forever alone and completely destroyed where nothing spawns anymore no new events happen an entropy finally comes to an end the Minecraft world is over oh I forgot something Mushroom Island biomes many of these are screwed being connected to terrain that falls outside of the biome's chunk radius and thus will be destroyed by creepers in the same way others will have emerging cave systems that continue outside of the chunk radius and those will fall and be destroyed in the same way but the mushroom islands that are perfectly contained creepers have no way to reach them while all of this is going on and the world is destroyed around them for the entirety of the universe's lifespan these cows with their venereal diseases will experience an infinite amount of Minecraft sunsets knowing that they will be safe for all time I guess the moral of the story is if you want to build somewhere that will be safe mushroom islands really will keep them safe in a way that none of us could have ever imagined the heat death of the real universe is going to take a long time I probably won't be able to witness it probably probably but it still makes me sad knowing that somehow absurdly Minecraft if given similar scales of time will go the same way makes me feel like this must be some kind of transcendent law of realities but whether you're a pixelated monster in a block game or a Celestial body careening through the cosmos at least we can say that we're all in this together a great thank you to our top tier patrons comrade back dprk Cristiano frasinetti eprb Jonathan Finelli Matthew scarberry and fibault tollette if the universe really
