if there is one video on the entire internet which can put you 1 month 2 months or even 3 months ahead in your J preparation how would that be boys and girls ladies and gentlemen welcome to the most comprehensive Noble guide on cracking i j where I'll be talking about everything that you actually need to crack IJ in the shortest amount of time everything from best books best resources best test series how long should you actually study position how long should you actually sleep how to clear backlogs how to study maths physics and chemistry because every subject is so different how to concentrate in classes what are the best apps that you need on your phone so that you can maximize your J preparation what are the best revision techniques what is the best way to give an examination and most importantly how the do we improve every single day week month and in a year so that you can be the rockar of your class so listen to me carefully for the next 10 15 or 20 minutes of your life and I promise I'll save months and months of your time let's start so first things first we'll go in an order we'll talk about the syllabus the best books best ways to study sleep and concered in classes how to revise and how to clear backlogs what are the best test series best apps and finally we'll end with some of the most common mistakes that students actually commit which can potentially ruin their entire preparation so are you ready oh my God I'm just playing I've spoken about this a lot of times but knowing the cabus well can actually make or break your preparation so I've divided the entire set of chapters into four buckets the first one easy and high weightage which you should never miss second one easy and low weightage don't forget this third one difficult and high weightage you still have to do them and the last one fourth one difficult and low weightage and this is only for the Toppers you see these everyone will study them but this is what it takes to be a topper and here's the list of all the chapters and all the subjects and their weightage in both J Mains and J Advan take a screenshot of them and here's the list of all of these chapters segregated into these four buckets take a screenshot of this two now knowing the syllabus is just the first step of the process knowing where to study them from is even more important I'd say the best way to learn any chapter is to read the ncrt even before you sit in the classes then sit in the classes and make a proper perfect notes then sit in the study hours on the same day and revise the class notes for 15 to 20 minutes practice all the derivations practice all the EX problems solve level one questions level two questions and then level three questions finish the coaching material and then finish one of the reference books end to end and after that solve past 3 to four years of previous year questions I would say this is the perfect framework to be the topper of your class and this should be a goal but it's not so easy it'll be very very very difficult for you to follow this for each and every subject but in 3 to 4 weeks of time you'll realize that you're getting faster better and much more efficient what used to take you 2 hours to finish is not just taking you 1 hour remember efficiency should be a goal not the time spent 8 hours of deep work is much more better than 16 hours of distracted work work accomplished equals to time spent into intensity and you have to optimize for both of these now with that being said here's the list of all the reference books for all the subjects take a screenshot of this cool we are done with the syllabus the best books and the general guidelines to study so now let's get a bit deeper into this so what is the difference between studying maths physics physical chemistry inorganic chemistry and organic chemistry I've spoken about this in the recent video on pp's channel but once again physics maths physical chemistry and some parts of organic chemistry these are mostly about pattern recognition you solve a couple of questions to train your brain to think in a couple of directions and once a new question is being asked your brain will look at the previous information of solve questions and tackle the new problem some people are natively good at solving new questions because of their past EXP or their way of life but what has been observed is all it takes is just 100 questions 35 easy 40 moderate and 25 difficult question to train your brain to solve new questions in a specific chapter but again this doesn't work for inorganic chemistry or some other parts of organic chemistry where you'll have to remember a lot of things for a longer duration of time so what do we do simple space reputation active recall and remembering through stories and visual cues is the way to go I mean let me actually know if you want a dedicated video on different methods of learning right take for you later now once you actually plan out your day and you start studying one of the biggest problems that arises is that you'll start feeling sleepy we feel sleepy in the classes we feel sleepy while reading and we also feel sleepy while solving questions in the exam and this is a very serious problem so what do we do simple the most difficult problems in life they have the easiest Solutions basic basically you just standardize your sleeping time if you're sleeping at 12:30 a.m. every single day you make you stick to it and you try to get at least 7 to 8 hours of sleeping time every single day lack of sleep will make you less efficient even if you have so many pending things on your to-do list you still have to hit the bed when the time comes because remember IJ is not a Sprint it's a marathon and you need to pick your battles well and it doesn't matter if you're a morning person or a night person because the best time to study is usually after you waake W up be it in the morning early morning or even after a short nap during the night and now for people who want to experiment with different sleep patterns in order for them to decrease the overall sleep time and increase their active time I'll make a separate video on it later explaining different sleep patterns like monophasic basic every man one two and three and uberman I've personally got this Ultra human ring myself so that I can track my sleep and also experiment with different patterns of sleep so let me actually first experiment it on myself and then I can actually suggest you something now let's get a bit more deeper and talk about the importance of mock test and clearing backlogs the single most thing which can make or break your entire preparation is the way that you give the examination while preparing for an exam is one major part of scoring well in an exam the other important part is giving the exam itself and if you want to make less silly mistakes improve your speed and accuracy and get less distracted and feel more confident in the examination at that point of time you have to give more number of mock tests and here are some of the best test series mock test that you can refer to T studying revising giving mock test and all of this is fine but what about the chapters which are left behind how do we clear the backlogs my turtle yeah very simple let's not complicated it it obviously doesn't make sense for us to leave the chapters which are currently going in the class so that you can clear some external backlogs or previous backlogs obvious right so instead look at a specific time of the week where you'll just revise the things that you might have forgotten or just for you to some backlogs maybe a Sunday evening Saturday evening Monday evening whatever the time works best for you but make sure that you actually make it a habit got it now even if you do all of these things right you might still up a few things during a j preparation and there are a few things that you should never do as a j aspirant because this time will never come and you'll be left with a bunch of regrets after this preparation so what are these things that you should avoid definitely avoid during your J preparation first one you don't need to solve 100 different books all you need is one or two or three good books to be solved multiple number of times the second one never date someone while you're preparing for itj I mean it's not just about managing your time you might be good at it but it's also about managing your emotions one bad day that's all it takes to ruin the entire month number three stay away from social media porn and other forms of addiction this is very important number four sleep and diet are way way way more important for you to ignore so don't never compromise on both of these number five as I just told you preparation is more like a marathon so take breaks whenever possible at least spend 2 to 3 hours or 4 hours or 5 hours every single week in order to recharge yourself and the last but not the least this this is a phone and this is a very dangerous tool especially if you're preparing for a competitive examination because this can kill your time this can kill your mental health this can kill your concentration levels it can also kill your peace of mind and so much more and I'm pretty sure that most of you at least use your phone for more than 8 hours a day like what are you doing throw this away but again let me actually suggest you some of the apps which can make your phone less distracting and less dangerous listen to me carefully the first one is alarm me alarm me alarm me alarm me alarm me alarm me see if you're a deep sleeper this app will make sure that you'll wake up in the morning basically for the alarm to turn off you need to do a couple of tasks maybe like shaking your phone for like 25 times or maybe solving five math questions or whatever it is right now the second app that you need on your phone is something something which blocks or locks the apps while they're not necessary I mean there are so many of them but stay focused opal these are some of my favorites now the third app is the best among the list it's called the ratio and this app will make all the other apps on your phone less interesting by changing how they look the colors the fonts and all of those things right like this app is crazy now the last app on this list is called the marks app this will allow you to solve the previous year questions and all of those things for different compera examinations now use all these apps I mean there are so many other apps but you don't need like don't waste time on your phone instead just put this away right and if you're using them use it consciously got it so I think that is about it now I just want to tell you that preparing for idj is just it's a pain in the ass right you'll have to be consistent you'll have to be dedicated you'll have to wake up every single day sleep at the exact time you'll have to attend the classes you have to solve a lot of questions it's not easy right but this phas once you go through this this will change you as a person someone who prepares for itj someone who did not prepare for itj he comes out to be a different person so while you're preparing for it try to give your best it doesn't matter how much you score at the end of the day I mean you might have like 6 months from now 1 year from now 2 years 3 years based upon whenever you're watching this right but try to give your best have no regrets let's be in this together let's rock this year all the best it's going to be tough but I always say if you're going through hell keep going and also let me know whatever the next videos that you want to watch thank you so much bye-bye see you I'll see you very soon [Music]
