How to Play Alarak at Level One in Starcraft

what's up starcraft fans last time we learned how to play abathur level one now we're going to move on to how to play allah level one so alarak again the high lord controls taldarim but he's not very strong at level one your power spikes two pretty good power spike it allows you to absorb more damage on your overcharged pylon and warp prism three will allow you to use deadly charge and distraction more frequently and level four pretty good upgrade will improve your uh sliders and uh supplicants pretty good upgrade pretty good upgrade level five i think this is one of the mo though one of the more massive upgrades this will allow you to use empower me which allow a lot to really break into enemy defenses level six uh yeah another pretty good another pretty good upgrade this will allow you to really use the uh the wrath walkers their maximum ability because they increase your attack speed so i think you'll be able to play brutal difficulty starting level six if you're uh yeah if you're a hard difficulty player you'll be able to play brutal double six if you're a normal difficulty player you can play you can play hard at level six so you can yeah a level seven lighting surge pretty good but it requires to you to sacrifice a supplicant level eight is when you unlock the accident before prestigious nine havocs yeah kinda yeah definitely pretty good without prestige it's basically for mobility so you can teleport somewhere in the map where you need to be but otherwise it's you know it's pretty good to throw at the enemies uh this one pretty good when you have empowerment of course to make use of 11 you have to use empower me so yeah you have to use uh power me to make use of overpower because it's uh that's what it is he deals splash damage when you using power me i said i bring cash this is what really unlocks our senate so essence are fine but they're they really become you know the real ascendants at level 12 because that's that's what allows them to to sacrifice a supplicant to gain more power uh and health or rather shields bernie skye this will just improve your mothership uh pretty good pretty good pretty good upgrade cash for a lara yeah is also pretty good rather than the hardware this is what allows you to do that strategy of sacrificing supplicants to reset allah's cooldown so it's a level 15 unlock so the biggest unlocks or the biggest power spikes i would say are probably eight and twelve the eight and twelve if you get if you get those uh ascended those good descendants you'll be good to go yeah if you're if you if you level on a normal difficulty he'll probably be able to do brutal uh once you unlock level 12 as long as you know how to micro your ascendants i have a guide by the way for how to make resonance death fleet also a pretty good unlock these two five and six also pretty good unlocks here and yeah all those are good too eh all the recipe upgrades are good to end good good good good all right so with that let's move on to our uh map so we'll do void launch thank you to lynch there center and trent who are supporting bb mobile asia here and darth vader archon or supporting me the pulse cannon tier and thank you to all my supporters of patreon so brian let's hear the map void launches the map where we have to shoot down amon's shuttles there are seven waves of shuttles which increase in size number of prongs and escorts we cannot let more than four shuttles escape otherwise we lose the game all right so we cannot let more than four shuttles escape so once the fifth one escapes it's game over so um the way you do it for alarak is you actually want to get a fast expansion so we've picked void launch because again uh we have to shoot on the shuttle so alaraka is a good anti-grouding anti-air well i guess decent anti-grain anti-air level one and that is in the form of the sl of the sliders so you can see that i started my pound over here at the rocks this the reason for this is because i wanted to overcharge uh this pylon so i can take these two right away and uh yeah get my expansion as soon as possible so you can see i'm still producing workers don't really want to rush to my gas but i will take them at some point but you know i don't want to rush to them i'm just making uh workers at the moment just to really power up so i think the uh first overcharge unlocks at one minute 30 seconds and once that hits you when to use it right away and it's the same it's the same as this uh level one you just spam your top bars whenever you have the chat so you can see that i kind of misplaced my pilot here the pylon is one square a little too far to the south i should have placed one square a bit more to the north so i could shoot that down but it doesn't really matter that much since i was able to shoot down the main rock anyway so not that big of a deal although i think at level 1 it won't be enough to well we'll see so you can say have a gateway and the gas starting yeah i'm not trying to rush gas too much i'll be more heavily reliant on metals in the early games since i want to build up my forces yeah so right okay so uh populate that saturate that gas rather so you can see it's not quite still 200 short on the actually destroying rock so i'll send something to just brush that down yeah it's uh it's it's definitely a mistake should have put that put a pile up here but it's not that massive mistake so you you quickly you quickly see what the lesson is at level two like mistakes happen or you quickly see what the lesson is with alera mistakes happen but you just you sometimes you just get power through it and uh recover from your mistakes to all but ultimately get the win you can see this suv or this pro rather is doing its best to burst on the last hundred health of the rocks it was actually 200 with the probe started hitting and now it's down to 65. i can see zerg over here so the reason i put my structures up here is to kind of draw the aggro from the zerglings so instead of hitting my workers they'll try to circle around this pylon and yeah get killed and then yeah basically my workers are still protected so yeah you want to protect your workers uh this game especially before your uh well you are particularly all serious again but especially the start since uh lost workers at the at the start hurts more than lost workers near the end of the game in fact um for some commanders he actually sacrificed workers near the end of the game to get more supply anyway see sending more the mistake here this probe is just sitting this probably just chilling out you're not doing anything but anyway you can see i used a lot to burst down these rocks make this not a thing and you can see i started a pilot down here so uh another one thing you'll notice about void launch is that the first two waves head straight to the middle so knowing that they could just plop down the pylon right here in this spot just in front of the of the of the conduit because you know that the the end force will head down here you can overcharge this pylon and help take out these these enemies but this time i don't need it because alanox extraction wave is pretty good taking out durglings it is pretty effective at fighting service and with the havoc with the uh with the lock on it will allow even more damage of course uh an important upgrade you have for your havocs is the cloaking module so that they won't be shot down as easily see i took a gas here but i will not really rush to saturate and yeah i'm still uh fully on mineral mode as you can see i'm still you know a bit a bit short on minerals and kind of floating a little bit of gas not that much a little bit research is ongoing okay you can see the another benefit of having a pilot out here in front i can just warp in the uh the the slider right here in front without having to yeah i would have to walk all the way there so yeah avoid launch if you're a product commander especially you won't have that pilot out here for overcharge for warping in um for not getting supply blocked it's just good see i'm warping another slider i'm also starting here uh i'm also starting the shield upgrade because the twilight council is not quite done yet so i might as well use the gas on something and that's something i decided is going to be the shield upgrades you see i'm sending a pro but here to the spot it's actually important because if you're if you're soloing or if you have an alley who doesn't uh take a space quickly enough you will have more buildings on your side that will make the ai more likely to attack your side instead of his so you want to have so i want to have two pollens out here at least stall at the very least stalled enemies and if they're strong enough they can kind of defend on their own okay you can see that immediately that the the dots are heading there so i'll uh head over here i use those yeah i over charge those to uh uh those two pylons i set anak up here use distraction wave collector zerglings uh yeah i see i made no mistake here i meant to send my sliders to fight the shuttles but i actually misclicked them a bit too far to the north but you can see i'm recovering i'm starting to send these liars to the right spot because they have another overcharge here they'll uh keep fighting the hybrids again definitely mistakes but you can say i'm just kind of trying to fight through it i lost two sliders so far but again just recover just recover remake what you lost don't lose heart um it's still it's still a very winnable game you can see i've uh i've queued up the plus two attack because the twilight is actually done that's pretty good so i have also had the blip grid pretty useful later on see and try to warp in some more stuff a set of supplicants some more sliders that'll be pretty good the silicates in particular will allow alera to keep fighting at the front without fear of dying or sacrificing his more powerful leads the sliders okay just uh walks up here getting ready to set this attack wave okay so yeah distraction wave that was pretty good okay so i gotta actually i gotta actually push through here i could have gone underneath back here but i wanted to push through here because there are a lot of units here that will all take damage when i use distraction waves i i kind of thought that my arm is kind of decent enough that i can kind of just push through here and use enough abilities to kind of soften them up for my and sliders i've still have two more pallets on the way over here the probe i said earlier again this is the same lesson from level six preparations or from this is the same lesson from the vorzoon video preparation pays off you can see that i have i set my probe here uh while uh while other things were happening while i was clearing this area i set the probe here to start two pylons and so these two pounds will be useful if the shuttles get too far here and i need something to accept them by the way another mistake i made earlier is on the first set of ships i should have just overcharged this pylon to let the the overcharge fight the shuttles and let the boosters fight the waves so another mistake but again you kind of you just you kind of just push through it recover from your mistake and then uh yeah try to come back stronger you see i've overcharged that pile over there preparation pays off the havoc is helping helping us burst down these shuttles okay i love admit there's be another wave it's actually heading out the middle that's actually favorable for me this wave this wave is actually favorable for me because it's closer to where my army is so i can actually uh run over here to intercept this but if the wave was heading over here i would have a harder typewriters at that zone that's actually a good a good sequence for me see they even stopped there give alarak a chance to use distraction wave and now it's just hybrids and mutilisks which are pretty decent to fight could be worse kind of bad but could be worse so yeah so far i've been recovering from my mistakes definitely mistakes here but definitely recovery on my part so you you gotta learn how to do that as well like mistakes happen and all you gotta do is recover so next we'll be here because the uh the first three shuttles on void launch the first one goes through here the second one goes through one of the sides it can go right or it can go left the third one the third shuttle will go to whichever shuttle or whichever side the second shell didn't go to if the second shuttle went here the third shuttle will go through here and since i saw that the second shuttle went to the southeast the third one will naturally or go to the north to go to the southwest so you can see i'm just warping in more stuff it's the same lesson as uh the rainer video just keep making stuff just keep using top bars i actually gotta push through here i took out that aberration using time yeah i was target firing the aberration because that one will deal tremendous damage and i would rather not fight it while i'm actually fighting the shuttle so yeah clear that out first so i can have position here to intercept by the way i'm already starting plus three something uh something to take note of ooh i like how this uh this webcam has actually skills that's interesting anyway i'm at water white supply not that bad at 13 37 see i'm easily taking out these okay that baiting wasn't able to splash a lot of my use this one will though it's unfortunate i'm trying to keep those uh those ultralisks away from my army because the sliders aren't that great versus ultras they could fight ultras but they aren't that great again i use this traction wave to kind of throw out the bulk of those zerglings so now my uh my sliders only have to fight mutualists and hybrids which is a more favorable fight for them okay you can see i'm i've decided to take my fourth gas because now the tables have turned i'm starting to move up in middles and have less gas to work with so the next after after the first three shuttles the second shuttle or the second bonus will spawn yeah so remember that guys after the first three shuttles the second bonus will spawn on the uh the eastern corner of the map so you gotta push through there if you want to get all bonuses so yeah like so and then the shuttles the the the next set of shuttles will be a double prong a double prong spawn so three will head to the middle and three will head to one of the sides so i gotta accept both and again just keep uh just keep spotting stuff yeah on cooldown keep keep spawning more stuff do not forget to keep spawning stuff they appear to be launching more shuttles i have warp gates available i warp in more dudes i'm actually short of gas this time so you can see yeah i'm still floating minerals and uh i don't have enough gas to make it so i use that i use those middles on pylons instead okay uh bracing myself here comes the attack wave i use distraction wave to kill most of it okay normally this is when when i would use it power me but again number one it's not available ooh i got a target down at ultras and i ended and eventually did though that was kind of uh a bit risky there so i now run to the other side yeah you don't want to fight there too too long to be a wave there okay so you can see this time this time i actually uh overcharged these palace over here and they are shooting the shuttles that's exactly what i need to do shot down those hybrids and a little bit more so the double overcharge you can see i saved up i saved up the overcharge okay i i see it i see that for you for that exact moment when i know that there is a chance that my forces might not be in time for that uh for that uh set of shuttles so i did use it for that so yeah just use overcharge so your army can keep fighting without having to rush back because if you kind of rush back to that spot you'll take more damage than you otherwise uh should okay send that other probe there clear these out okay so after the double prong is the trip prong they will all head toward the central the central exit so the way the way i want to deal with that is uh i want to take out the right the left the the left prong first and then the central prong and then the last prong because when the last prong reaches here the uh the 1930 wave will spawn and that's a pretty big wave so i'd rather be in that position where i don't have to uh wherever i can focus on fighting the wave and not and not have to scramble back to uh back this uh back this pylon which by the way i've been using all this game this one pylon that i put down here at the pretty much the start of the game is still warp is still being used to warp in more stuff so you can see how just how good of a decision that was to make a pylon right there okay here comes the big wave okay no zerglings here so the distraction wave isn't quite as impactful i like how this big hybrid actually with the center of my forces it actually got shot down more i warp in more sliders here try to shoot these down i've said this before and i'll say it again void launch is essentially a one wave map all the first six waves of shuttles are pretty easy to deal with to deal with first three prongs are all or the first three waves are all single prong the the fourth wave is a double prong and you can just use an overcharge for that the fifth wave is triple prong but they all head to the same exit so you can kind of just defend this central exit and you'll be able to have it the sixth prong is a pretty large prong but it'll all head to one direction it all comes from one from a spawn uh one of the sides you're either the left either the top left or the top right and we'll head to just one of the exits either the bottom left or the bottom right so if it spawns on the top left it'll go to the bottom right and if it spawns at top left it'll go to the bottom right so you just want to make yours make sure that your forces are in position to intercept that force you can see i'm still getting more upgrades for my dudes pretty important okay i haven't made a mistake in a while so i think it's about time i made another mistake you can see i am pushing i am losing supply here i was 180 supply that i decide for some reason to push into this enemy base without really a need to and we'll see how that works out for me okay i was able to blink out but not before losing like 10 supply of dudes i use those i used to overcharge those pylons they fall down fairly quickly destroy this uh this hybrid over here and this one is fully surrounded this would probably not survive i'm down to 127 supply so i lost like 50 supply i lost 50 supply in that one fight and yeah so my uh transport has been destroyed my uh pylons were not quite uh not quite placed in time they were too low health to revive that onslaught and i probably should have made them earlier so they would have a bit more uh health to them and you can see i'm doing i'm using a little micro trick here i right clicked my my sliders here or yeah i right click my sliders here so here's the micro trick you can learn and it'll be pretty useful regardless of what game mode you play it's used with the campaign useful and co-op useful in 1v1 useful in any mode of the game so if you have stock or if you have stalkers or sliders here in my case and you're trying to get to the low ground and you don't want to you don't want to curve around here or just blink your force a few at a time what you can do is have your when your voice are on here right click them to this point the cliff to this spot on the cliff right click them there they will right they all go there uh and then since you right click here hold down shift then click blink and then left click here and then right click there so you can see yeah you can you can kind of see the uh the the order of the move command you can see there's a move command here and then shift click blink command here and then uh attack move here so they'll start shooting at the shuttle as soon as they blink so what that does ultimately is that as soon as a stalker reaches a point where it can blink it will blink and it will continue chasing uh the shuttles until the shuttles are down the advantage of using that over just walking your thai army here and then blinking is that you don't run the risk of accidentally blinking not quite far enough so if you have a big ball of stalkers here for example and you all you try to bring all of the low ground some of the ones especially at the back will not be able to reach because it's blocked by the ones in the front instead they'll end up blinking somewhere here which is sub-optimal because you still have to curve around here and that's kind of that spot so what you actually want to do is yeah uh once you're once you're once you're originally once you range it from here right click to this spot hold down shift then blink here hold down shift again then issue a move command or attack command elsewhere so that the front stalkers will blink down and they'll start moving out here it's important because by moving out here they will make space for the rest of the stalkers to blick the same spot you can see that in action the rear stocks are blinking forward and they're able to uh be in a good spot to intercept these last uh these last shuttles because they also have a bunch of cabinets down here yes i was floating minerals i'm still chasing this shuttle and i think there's one more and now it's down so i did make a really bad mistake trying to push through this at level one i probably shouldn't have done that that was probably a mistake but the good news for me is that i kept pushing i kept uh remaking stalkers and back to 137 supply that's 10 more supply than when i started when i took that bad engagement but again don't give up it's still a winnable game so as i mentioned uh void launch is basically a one-way map as you can see the last wave here has four prongs so what intercept them as early as possible to give myself the highest chance of winning again i can let four escape but if more than four escape it's game over for me so there are still how many shuttles remaining i think there are three here three here three here so i think there are still a nine left so i can only i can only forward an escape so i have to kill five more because i use that blinker again you can see yeah just uh moving down here i just probably use aladoc to uh sacrifice himself to kind of stall back the wave there are three shuttles there i think and actually just two so the next problem also only has two so i think i only need to set one more one more shuttle prong one more wave prong i'm just trying to do my best to run all the way down here i'm just trying to run over here and intercept this last prong of ships that's a big leviathan so with my cannons here and overcharged i'm in a much better position to intercept these uh these shuttles and three more go down so i think that gives me the victory all i have to do is not die before the shuttles make it back to the exit and of course i'm gonna try intercept that shuttle because uh by intercepting the shuttles you allow the enemy less time to reach your base and uh you uh yeah you have less you give yourself uh or you give a month less less room to actually destroy your base so it hasn't been doing anything if but if he loses nexus i lose the game because that's how co-op works so what it is is just bullet on top of here and kind of snipe snipe these shuttles and see and now it goes so yeah i did go down to 85 supply but guess what zero let me see if i can get better vl check it out zero shuttle's escaped look at the top left the screen zero shuttles escapes so even though i'm down 85 supply it's still a pretty good way for me i got two bonuses i lost the turbo because of a mistake but i did get uh all the shuttles every single shuttle and it didn't let this huge wave enemies get to my base you can see damage stalkers or the uh the sliders did most of my damage followed by 24 and then this co-op caster is basically the overcharge so that did 10 pretty decent damage and the photon with two percent which is also good anyway hope you enjoyed that thank
