Engineering Graduate Job Market Insights

Every year, 15 lakh students are graduating from engineering. But how many people get jobs? Recently, two of them graduated from engineering and one of them got a job. The situation in India is that the quantity is more than the quality. Even though they are looking for those who got the job, they are not getting the top package. They are doing engineering and are only getting 20-30,000 rupees per month. We don't know when they will remove us from the job. Where is the problem? Why are there no good jobs? What should we do if we want to get jobs? We will discuss about this in detail in this video. If you are interested, don't skip the video and watch the end work. If you like the video, like it and share it with your friends and family. The first problem is high tuition fees versus quality of education. If we look at the present, Engineering colleges are charging 15 lakhs to 20 lakhs to complete engineering But what about the quality of education they are providing? The scene is that even the engineering colleges are slowly starting the business of running the inter-colleges You know what happens in the inter, right? They say that there will be a seat in IIT and there will be a seat in NIT They say that join us and join us and join us and join us What happens at the end is that the top batch will get a good rank They will fill in the flex and start admission to the next batch What will the people who have not yet got the seat do? Already they have already put the pappu on the feet and then they will fall into the same trap again Actually, we have spent 5-6 lakhs to complete our inter In engineering, we will spend 15-20 lakhs and it will be done by engineering and we will not have a job Now, in present engineering colleges, they are doing the same They will take admission from us without paying lakhs of rupees but they didn't include syllabus that matches industry standards what I liked is that in recent times, these new age institutions are coming and they are focusing on the skills of the industry and their students and showing a way to get good placements When we learn a skill, it would be better to do an internship in companies to get a better clarity on where to use it in the industry. What I liked about Newton's school of technology curriculum is that they focused on the skills they need in the industry and designed the entire curriculum. And since the entire curriculum was designed by the experts working in the main companies, we get a better practical experience. Students who studied in this college are averaging 30,000 per month internships in the first year. But this girl cracked her internship in Google Summer of Code for 1.25 lakhs. Google Summer of Code is a flagship program which is conducted by Google every year. The advantage of doing an internship in the first year is that you will understand the industry requirements exactly and it will be a good opportunity to crack a better placement. They are offering a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and AI stream. Their campus is actually in Delhi. Due to the recent demand from students, they launched a new campus in Pune. Microsoft, Google, and Amazon are the people who work there. Since we are in the first year, they have been giving mentorship. So, our life will be set. They conducted an entrance exam for admission in college. They have to clear it. The last phase of admissions is in college. Registrations can be closed anytime. If you are watching this video recently, register for the exam through the link given in the description. Don't miss this opportunity. You will get a seat and life will be set. By the time you get to the next problem, you will have a practical exposure. If you are applying for a job in a company, you should understand the requirements and crack the opportunities. Right, let's do this. First year, first time, first day, you will be thinking of getting a seat. Then you will have a break with your friends. You will be stuck in backlogs. If you cut the scene, you will have 4th year placements and you will not have a job. Lastly, what is this? Instead of that, if you want to crack any company from your first year, if you want to get a job in that company, what skills should I build? You will not have any problems by researching and working on these things. I am surprised by this. Even though I have completed my 3rd year and I am getting close to the placements, many people do not have clarity on which programming language I should learn. Even after coming to 3rd year, if you do not have clarity on life, if you want to get skills in industry, If you don't focus on it, you will graduate but you won't have a job. Now let's see how to gain practical experience. I will consider three steps. First, we have to acquire skills. Then, we have to network with people. We have to interact with our friends. We have to cross our boundaries and interact with new people. And then, we have to apply for jobs. To learn skills, we need a proper roadmap. For that roadmap, there is a website. It's called roadmap.shsunsearch.com so you can see different roadmaps available here for example if you want to become a frontend developer if you click on frontend you will get a proper structured roadmap and if you hover over it you can learn the basics if you look at the right side you can see the resources that you need to refer and I am showing that clearly so maybe what you can do is if you come to roadmap.sh you will find many roadmaps available on this particular website so you should just like get into that and you could have a roadmap and they provide resources there so we have to learn skills from them What you should do is network with people. If you do this, it will be easy for you to get jobs. So, for example, I want to get a job in a company. For example, I am doing a job in Microsoft. Maybe I will just search for Microsoft HR. So, when I search, I get a job. I will ask them to refer me if they have any openings for this particular job role. So it's like it's easy for me to crack a job. Alongside networking with people, start applying for jobs, internships. I told you, right? If you do internships, you'll get a good practical experience. And you can upskill well. Also, if you hit the 2K like target on this video, I'm putting it. Share this video to as many people as possible. If the like target is completed, I'll show you how to apply for jobs, how to ask for referrals and do a proper video. Problem number 3 is lack of soft skills. The more technically strong we are, the more soft skills we'll get. If we don't get it, we'll be stuck again. Now let's talk about the soft skills that we need. First is communication skills. Even if many people join engineering, they don't come out of their comfort zone. They are introverts. This actually doesn't work in the long run. Whether you want to get a good job or earn good money, communication skills are very important. Not just meeting people. Meet new people daily either offline or on LinkedIn. Ask for their experiences and share your experiences. You will learn new things. If you think they are right, implement them in your daily life. And yeah, on top of this, first of all, Start speaking English from the first year. If you don't speak English properly even after the third year, you will face a lot of problems in interviews. And yeah, you will face a lot of rejections here. Second is Teamwork. Form a group of friends who are aspiring developers. Start from learning a skill and work on projects together. Don't attend hackathons. Here you will find your team and a good co-founder. Not jobs, you can build a proper business if you have a good team. Third is Leadership. In the first year, you will put an election on who will be class representatives. Then you will be the leader. Then participate in it without any shame. Leadership qualities plays an important role in our job. There is a role called project manager. From the start of the project to the end, set the timelines, manage the overall budget, and meet the project objectives. There will be a very good salary for this particular role. Search it on Google. And yeah, obviously, focus on improving leadership qualities. Last and final, your soft skill is time management. Many people are getting ruined in life without this. Why is that? My friends are telling their stories. From the first year, I was coding consistently for 6-8 hours a day. I even told my friends that we should work together and get better. But no one listened to me. Life is so chill, dude. You have to enjoy the first year, you have to walk, you have to drink, and you were completely chill. You said you can't prepare from the second year and you passed the time. When the placements come, you have to solve the DSA problems. You have to build projects. You have to take all these and have time. So, without making any mistakes, make a proper schedule and manage the time. And yes, many people are asking me to learn coding and to get good resources for it. For that, there is a video on our channel called beginner coding tips that I have done in the past. Watch that video. And yes, there are many coding resources available on our channel. Here, you have full tutorials on C language with proper free notes. And there is a full course video on Python. After that, I have also made web development on our channel. Present mission learning series is also happening on our channel. You can refer the videos from there too. If you find the video informative, like it and don't forget to share it with those who find it useful. That's it. Ta-ta. Do coding. See you in the next video.
