Final Tuning Tutorial in FL Studio
Loading and Preparing Your Audio
Step 1:
Load an FLP file in FL Studio.
Step 2:
Import the audio file you want to tune.
Step 3:
Click on the audio icon and select 'Pitch correct sample' to open NewTone.
Tuning Notes
NewTone:
Minimize NewTone and open the piano roll.
Aligning Notes:
Place the piano roll and NewTone side by side to easily tune each note.
Cutting Audio
**Hotkeys & Tools:
Press 'C' or use the cut tool icon for slicing.
Hold 'Alt' to freely cut anywhere.
Combine clips by holding 'Ctrl,' selecting multiple clips, and pressing 'Ctrl' + one of the selected clips.
Advanced Features
Slide Notes
Variation Control:
Green area adjusts the duration for the slide-in note.
Note Adjustment:
Drag mouse up/down to change the start note and adjust the end note with the red area.
Stretching Audio
Beat Matching:
Hold 'Alt' to freely stretch audio clips that are offbeat.
Adding Vibrato
**Advanced Edit:
Press the scissor icon and select Advanced edit Vib.
Add a cut into the note (after the first peak).
Double click to adjust the number and intensity of waves.
Settings
Center:
All the way up for easier tuning.
Variation & Trans:
Adjust to avoid a robotic sound.
Variation: Increase if it sounds weird.
Trans: Set near halfway.
Conclusion
Experiment with settings to fit the character of your audio.
Usual settings: Center all the way up, Trans near halfway, and Variation adjusted as needed.
