Company Rebranding

Snapshot Component

• Previously a one-way interview assessing people skills and motivations for pursuing medicine
• No longer a requirement for any applicants in the 2023-24 cycle

Casper Exam Format Changes

• Number of scenarios reduced from 15 to 14
  • 5 word-based, 9 video-based
• Duration decreased: 90-110 minutes (previously 100-120 minutes)
• Order of sections changed: video first, then typed
• Breaks: 10-minute break after video section; 5-minute break midway through typed section
• Cost: $85 for 8 programs, additional $15 per extra program (includes Duet fees)

Casper Test Preparation Tips

• No need to prepare for Snapshot interview
• Video section first: prepare speaking skills well in advance
  • Only 2 questions per video scenario (previously 3)
  • 3 questions per typed scenario
• Familiarize with test format

Detailed Test Format

• Introduction and two optional breaks
• Two response sections: video first, then typed
  • Video Response:
    • 4 video-based, 2 word-based scenarios (random order)
    • Reflection time: 30 seconds per scenario
    • Two questions per scenario
    • 60 seconds to respond per question
    • Cannot review or re-record answers
    • Important to practice in timed video format
  • Typed Response:
    • 3 word-based, 5 video-based scenarios (random order)
    • Three questions per scenario
    • 5 minutes to type responses for each scenario
    • Responses auto-submitted; cannot be changed
