Exploring the Fibonacci Sequence and Its Impact

The Fibonacci sequence is a set of numbers following the rule that each number is equal to the sum of the two preceding numbers. So the sequence looks like this. Visually, this creates a swirling pattern as the sequence goes on. The Fibonacci sequence is named after Italian mathematician Leonardo of Pisa, who used this sequence to illustrate a problem on breeding rabbits. How many pairs of rabbits will be produced in a year beginning with a single pair if in every month each pair bears a new pair which becomes productive from the second month on? Fibonacci numbers are found everywhere in nature, from the branching of trees and leaves, to the distribution of raspberry seeds, to the pattern of flower petals, even on the human body. Most body parts follow the numbers 1, 2, 3, and 5, from the fingers on each hand to the proportions on your face, also known as the golden ratio. roughly 1 to 1.6. Design experts use both the Fibonacci sequence and golden ratio to guide architecture, websites, and user interfaces, among other things.
