Hi, I'm Kathy with Level Up RN, and I am so excited to share some of the key features of our maternity flashcards and why they are the best flashcards for nursing students, as well as practicing nurses. Our maternity nursing flashcard deck comes in a durable, high-quality box, and if you take the lid off here, you can easily see and access the flashcards. We deliberately included some wiggle room here in front so that you can...
thumb through the cards and find just the card you are looking for. Our cards are durable and thick, and they're glossy on the front and matte on the back so that you can take notes on the card or highlight information if needed. And all of our flashcards have nice rounded corners as well. Our Maternity Nursing Flashcard Deck has five sections including preconception, pregnancy, labor and delivery, newborn care, and postpartum care.
So within the preconception section, we go over topics such as contraception and infertility. In the pregnancy section of this deck, we cover topics such as prenatal care, diagnostic procedures, pregnancy complications, and more. In the labor and delivery section of this deck, we cover things such as stages of labor, pain management, fetal heart rate patterns, complications, and a variety of other topics. And in our newborn care section, we go over things such as newborn assessment, reflexes, newborn complications, and discharge teaching. And then our postpartum section includes topics such as expected changes during the postpartum period, fundal and lochia assessment, and postpartum complications.
And then at At the end of the deck, you can find an index so you can look up topics or disorders and quickly find that card. And then we also include our Level Up RN learning system at the back of the deck. So you have the option of organizing your cards based on how familiar you are with the material. Our flashcards have a number of different features that make it easier for you to learn the key concepts and facts you need to know in nursing school and in your nursing practice.
Our flashcards are laid out in a logical, easy-to-digest way. We limit the amount of information we include on each card to just the most important facts. We basically take out all the fluff so you can focus on what matters most.
Next to the light bulb icon throughout the deck, you can find a definition or explanation of a term or condition. And then throughout the deck, you'll see this little cool chicken icon popping up. And whenever you see this cute little guy, he is pointing out a funny or helpful way to remember key information. When you see the exclamation point icon, that is highlighting an important fact or concept that you definitely need to know. And when you see bold red text on the cards, that means that these facts are especially important to know and are highly tested on in nursing school.
So if you are in a time crunch studying for your nursing exam, you definitely want to focus on these items first. Many of our flashcard decks contain helpful illustrations, but this deck in particular contains some really awesome illustrations that can really help you understand the key concepts you need to know in maternity nursing. So I just want to point out a few of them, including this fetal position illustration, which I definitely wish I had in nursing school. I also love this illustration, which points out the difference between effacement and dilation.
This is another great illustration that shows the steps involved in Leopold maneuvers. The other amazing thing about our Level Up RN flashcards is that you can follow along with our maternity nursing video playlist. These videos are available on YouTube for free or as part of our Level Up RN membership where you can watch them without ads.
So if you are an auditory or visual learner, you can follow along with our Leopold Maneuver then this can be really, really helpful. And honestly, the combination of our videos and flashcards has helped so many students excel in their maternity nursing class and on their exams. I hope this information about our maternity nursing flashcard deck has been helpful, and I hope you love this deck as much as we do.
Happy studying. I invite you to subscribe to our channel and share a link with your classmates and friends in nursing school. If you found value in this video, be sure to hit the like button and leave us a comment and let us know what you found particularly helpful.
