Introduction to Blackboard

• Blackboard is an online learning platform for San Jacinto College students and faculty.
• Users need to sign in with a username and password.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Setup Instructions

1. Download an Authenticator App
   • Recommended apps include Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or Authy.
2. Link App with Blackboard
   • Open the authenticator app and either scan the provided image or manually enter the key provided.
3. Activate MFA
   • Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to associate it with your Blackboard account.
   • Blackboard will prompt for this code on unrecognized devices during login.

Completion and Usage

• You will be prompted for the login code every time you log in, especially on new devices.
• MFA enhances security by requiring a code in addition to your password.
