Overview
This lecture covers how to log in to Blackboard, set up multi-factor authentication, access support resources, and which browsers to use for best compatibility.
Logging into Blackboard
- Blackboard is accessed via the Columbus State Community College portal.
- Use your CSCC username and password to log in.
- If you do not know your credentials, reset your password at https://password.cscc.edu/.
- For login issues, refer to the support link "Why can't I log in?" or contact IT Support.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Download an authenticator app (e.g., Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, Authy) on your phone.
- Scan the QR code or enter the provided key in your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit temporary code from the app on the Blackboard page to complete MFA setup.
- After setup, a login code will be required for new or unrecognized devices.
Browser Compatibility and Warnings
- Internet Explorer is not compatible with Blackboard; do not use it.
- Recommended browsers are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or any browser from the supported browsers list.
- Using unsupported browsers may cause performance issues or errors.

Training Accounts
- Training access is intended only for users with designated training accounts.
