Worthy, worthy, worthy is the name above all names. Can we rejoice in the name of Jesus Christ? Can we jo re rejoice that today we have the honor, the opportunity say you are worthy. Can we take it with us that every second, every day we can praise him and say you are worthy. He is worthy to be praised. He is worthy to be praised. Yeah. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. You deserve the praise. Worthy is your name. Church, today we have the absolute honor to not only just pray for souls, but to hear a testimony by our very own brother in Christ, JJ, come on over here. What we know is that our Lord and Savior has given us the greatest gift ever, and that is the gift of salvation. But that is he doesn't stop there. He wants to see your life transformed by Jesus Christ. And our brother JJ is going to share what the Lord did for him last night. So for a long time, I've been battling uh intrusive thoughts and and spirit of torment. And uh you know, I thought I was doing the right things. I thought I could do it by myself. I thought I could just pray it away. I thought that if I if I just maintained abstinence from certain things, whether it be thought processes, killing the thought processes or changing who I hung around with that that, you know, God would change or God would change me. Um the night before deliverance, uh the pastors were preaching and they were touching certain things like generational curses, lust, uh anger, violence, and every time they spit or they they said something that pertained to me, I started to cry. And in the beginning I was like, "Dang, why am I crying?" But now that I delivered, I'm delivered. I understand what was crying. That wasn't me crying. That was the thing that was attached to me crying because it knew was coming out. Come on. Uh I approached approached the front. Pastor Pastor Vlad approached me and I seen seen this fierceness in his eyes that automatically the Holy Spirit let me know what it was. What was in me is not allowed to stay. You feel me? Everybody's not allowed to stay. Uh, I don't remember a whole lot of the experience. I felt like I was in felt like I was in the backseat of the car with the noise cancelling headphones on. You know what I mean? Like I could kind of hear things, but I wasn't sure. I know I got to ask some questions, but it wasn't me answering. And uh I know that whatever was in me didn't want to come out. But soon it it came. And and I knew there was catchers behind me, but this is how I knew one of the ways I knew that what was in me was out. Catchers behind me a couple inches, but it felt like I fell miles. And it felt like I fell miles fast before I felt them catch me. And then the next thing I know, boom, I'm on the ground and I hear open my eyes. And when I open my eyes, I see our pastor. But I seen the Holy Spirit told me through his eyes, you're free to level. Give a round for Jesus. God is God is amazing. The the amount of feelings of joy, peace, happiness, uh salvation, the the things that they tell you, you're not good enough to carry to keep doing this. You're not good enough to serve in the church. You're not good enough for any of that. All that that doubt, that torment was gone, was lifted. Um, like I said, the the peace is unmatched, the joy was unmatched, the uh the clarity was unmatched. Um, I I want to tell you if anybody out here, anybody watching, if you guys got any doubt, any type of doubt, know that's from the enemy. If if you want to come and and something's telling you, "Nah, man, you're fine." Or we cast that out through prayer and fasting, don't listen to it. Show up anyway. What's What's the worst that's going to happen? You're going to Yeah. You're gonna find out what it what it really feels like to be free, not what the world tells you to be free. Come on, take a chance. So, thank you so much, brother, for sharing your story. This is why we pray for these names here. So, not only can they be saved by our Lord and Savior, but that they can be set on a fire of freedom and healing. And guess what every single one of us can do here? If you feel led to come lay your hands on these boards, go ahead. If you want to stretch your hands, stretch them right now. But if you have family, friends, co-workers that say, "I know that they need Jesus in your life, in their life," we have barkers right here to name to to write their name down because what we want is for the world to be saved, church. Amen. We want that our house to come to know Jesus. So right now in the name of Jesus Christ, we decree and declare every single name written on one of these posters will come to know you, God. That they will be set free from generational curses. That they will be healed from every infirmity. That in the name of Jesus Christ, every demonic chain will be broken, God. And Lord, we know that there will be a a rejoicing in heaven, God, because it is your word that says every soul that is saved, all the angels in heaven rejoice. We thank you, Lord, in advance for every single soul that will be saved. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when, God. And we thank you Lord for that promise for our family in Jesus' name we pray. And everyone said amen. Can we give a clap offering to the Lord? What a wonderful day to be in the house of God. Amen. We're going to transition really quickly to offering. Something that the Lord put on my heart to share really quick is that if you're willing to submit your finances to God, he can surprise you. I want to share a a quick testimony. Last year, my wife got laid off from her position, and I felt the Lord tell me, "Don't adjust your tithing. Be obedient to the level of tithing that you're giving as if both incomes were still there." And as I obeyed the Lord this uh this last year then January going through performance raises and bonuses, God blessed my family. God blessed us with a bonus that was greater than the whole entire year worth of tithing. You trust God with your finances and he can surprise you. I didn't expect God to come out and to say, "Hey, because you did this, it's only a matter of time." Instead, simply said, "God, if you put that on my heart, I will do it." Amen. Let's all take our phones or however you're tithing and giving today and place them in our hand and pray this together. You see the ways that we can offer that that we that that ways to give behind us. But let's pray knowing God can do more with our finances than what we can do on our own. God, we thank you Lord that on this day especially as we give to your kingdom God that we can do it with trust, with peace, with knowing, Holy Spirit, that you are the source of our financial freedom, God, that you are the source of our blessings, Holy Spirit. So as we surrender our finances to you which is already yours God, let our peace, let your peace that surpasses all understanding rest upon our hearts, rest upon our minds, God. And I just ask, Holy Spirit, that you bless each and every single one that is giving today, God, because that is your promise in your word. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Welcome to Hungry Gen Church. For all those who are here today in sanctuary 1, sanctuary 2, greet your neighbor on your left and right and set your eyes on the screen. Welcome to hungry generation. We exist to lead people to encounter God daily. Amen. We just had a wonderful prayer line yesterday and people's lives were changed, saved, delivered, and today is just a phenomenal the best day to be at church. We're so happy that you are with us. Could we welcome everyone watching us online. Everybody in our second sanctuary, let us know in the comments below where you're watching from. What you just watched is um as you know, we are in the process of our building campaign. And exciting good news. The good news is we are 107 seats uh already secured. And so that just came from the first service that has not been updated yet, but I know that it's going to be more and more even this week, which means we really just need uh 89 three if the one that is counted from this morning. And so just just not a lot. Our goal is to get to zero. So, um, good news. Our building is currently already sold. Um, in about two weeks, the funds from the sale of this building will start going toward the building campaign. The final inspection passed, everything is good. And so, pretty much within two weeks, we're going to start leasing this building. But the sale went through, and we give God all the glory. Let's give the Lord a clap offering. I'm going to give you just a just a basic kind of understanding of what has happened. About a few years ago, three, four years ago, we purchased um a building off of Edison. It used to be a welfare and then it was a skating arena before that. Then we purchased a lot next to it for the parking space. So, by God's grace, we shouldn't be struggling with parking space until the Lord returns. Overstatement, but we should have enough parking space. Somebody says about 2 and a half thousand seat auditorium. So we we will overcompensate for all the years that we had to look for parking here. Um then we purchased a corner lot right in front of the it used to be the Alvarez dealership. Some of you guys remember the Alvarez dealership. And so now it's going to be a three-fold cafe. It's going to be actually a coffee shop that's going to happen there. And this coffee shop is just going to have anointed coffee. Amen. And people will be fully clothed there. Why I said that is because on that street across p across a high school over there there is a coffee shop where people are not clothed and so which is not good for high school which is not good for the community and stuff. So um God wants people to be clothed. Amen. So our desire is not only to have just a powerful church and parking lot, but also to be a statement. That corner lot, actually weed shops wanted to get it. And I was like, "No, no, no, no, no. We're not going to people not going to get high here and stuff." So this is going to be a good place for the kingdom of God. So we have three of those properties. We've spent 6.2 million on construction so far that we've raised. That's not even to purchase them. This is just on the construction. We have three and a half to go and the Lord will provide. He already provided that that this building while we're in it got sold and somebody who bought it has cash. Which is a miracle in itself. And they were able to let us stay in this building until we finish the building. That's a big blessing, guys. We celebrate goodness of God. So, after this building is sold, we still need 1.5 mil to finish. Now, somebody's like, "Man, why is this so much?" You have to understand that the sanctuary will be about 1,000 seats, and we can fit about 400 kids. That's in one service. Last Sunday, we had four services in two sanctuaries, and we had 1,260 something people that came. That's crazy. And that's not including Everett about 360 people. So in just one year at Hungry Jen on Easter service there was 58% increase from last year. We celebrate the goodness of God. Let's give the Lord a clap offering. So the Lord is good and he's moving. And so what we feel to do is instead of looking at this 1.5 million and say, "Oh, this is so much." Um, we technically cannot borrow money from the bank anymore because of those lots that we have. We can't borrow money for construction. Otherwise, we would have done it. So, but what we can do though is we can believe God and we can step out and stretch our faith. So, I want to invite you if you're part of Hungry Gen family, if this is your home, would you prayerfully consider to secure a seat not for your family but for someone's family? And if you have four people, believe for four seats. If you have seven people, you know, believe for two seats. Seven seats. You know, all I'm asking is that you pray and you believe and let God do the rest. You know, we don't put it on credit card, but we just trust God and the Lord provides and when he provides, we just go and and act. And God will speak to us and he will guide us. People are contributing from the community as well. There's some people that have been visiting our church from Tri Cities who are not even part of our church. They're like, I love this. I want to be a part of that. This is for lives change. Buildings they come, buildings they go. And like you know, you heard Bryson, you know, who came at at 13. I remember Britney actually is the one that brought him to the encounter. And at first weekend, first Friday night, he encountered the Lord. And you know, this Friday, he's going back to Spokane. And now he's going to be moving to Spokane. So it's not just a seat that somebody sits and warms it up. They have a family. They have a calling and they have a purpose. And then next Sunday, another person sits on the same seat. So imagine like double harvest. Then we had a third service, the third person. So it's like triple harvest for one seed. Come on, somebody. Amen. Let's give the Lord a clap offering for that. Last Sunday we launched our fourth service. So four services. How does that feel? Like four services. So, just like four services. It was amazing, but like four services. I'm going to say that again. And so, we give God the praise and we thank each and every one of you who serve every week. You show up every week. You you give your best every week. And together, uh we make what the Lord is doing even better. Amen. Without taking um any of our time, I would like to share with you a message that I will title that they may serve me. I would like you to open your Bible and if you have a Bible app, you can have these notes. I'm going to go through the scriptures very fast. This message is not only for people who just went through deliverance, but it's the people who've been delivered from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. This will be for people who are going to experience a fuller deliverance and deliverance even down the road. I want to communicate to you the heart of God for why he is interested in your deliverance and in your freedom in Exodus 3:18. And I'm going to rapidly go through these scriptures and I want you to catch a theme. The God of the Hebrews has met with us and now please let us go three days journey into the wilderness that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God. Exodus 5:1 let my people go that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness. Exodus 53 please let us go three days journey into the desert and sacrifice to the Lord our God. Exodus 5'8. But you shall lay on them the quota of bricks which they made before. You shall not reduce it, for they are idol. This is Pharaoh speaking. Therefore they cry out saying, let us go and sacrifice to our God. Exodus 5:17. And he said, Pharaoh, you are idol. Idol. Therefore you say, let us go and sacrifice to our God. Exodus 7:16. And you shall say to him to Pharaoh, 'The Lord God of the Hebrews has sent me to you, saying, Let my people go that they may serve me in the wilderness. Exodus 8:1, let my people go that they may serve me. Exodus 8:8, Entreat the Lord that he may take away, Pharaoh speaking, the frogs from me and my people, and I will let the people go. See, the Pharaoh is now repeating what God was saying, that they may sacrifice to the Lord. Let me just pause for a second. Have you noticed the promised land? Milk and honey is not in the picture. Have you noticed God is not using the promised land as a bait? He's not using it as a motive or as a purpose for why he is setting people free. Have you noticed there is no reference of injustice of slavery? Though slavery is injustice and it is wrong. God isn't saying let them go because it's not fair you're holding them hostage. He's saying, "Let them go that they may serve me." Exodus 8:20, "Let them go that they may serve me." Exodus 8:25, the Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron and said, "Go sacrifice to the Lord your God in the land." But Moses said, "Nah, not so, for we would be sacrificing the abomination of the Egyptians. We can't do it in Egypt." Exodus 8:28. So Pharaoh said, "I will let you go that you may sacrifice to the Lord your God in the wilderness." Only don't go very far. Exodus 9:1, "Let my people go," God says again, "that they may serve me." Exodus 9:13, "Let my people go that they may serve me." Exodus 10:3, "Thus says the Lord God of Hebrews, how long will you refuse to humble yourself before me? Let my people go that they may serve me." Exodus 10:7. Then Pharaoh's servant said it said said to him, "How long will this man be a snare to us? Let them go that they may serve the Lord our God." Exodus 10:24 and 25. And Pharaoh called to Moses and said, "Go serve the Lord. Only let your flocks and your herds be kept back. Lest let your little ones go with you." But Moses said, "You must give us things to sacrifice and burnt offerings that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God." Exodus 12:31. And this is the last night when they left Egypt. Then he called for Moses and Aaron by night and said, "Rise, go up among from my people, both you and the children of Israel, and go serve the Lord as you have said." If only they would have done it. I want to share with you about The real purpose for why you and I are set free. The real purpose why God wants to set you free. Also the purpose to which you are saved. We all know what we are saved from. I would like to remind us today on what we are saved into. The purpose of our deliverance is that they may serve me. 17 times in seven chapters, God made it clear, Pharaoh, let my people go. He didn't say, "Because I have a promised land for them." He didn't say, "Because they are suffering, tormented." That's not fair. so they can finally build their own homes instead of your crazy pyramids. He said, "Let them go that they may serve me." See, God's idea of deliverance wasn't a relief from pain. It was a resignation to him. So, it wasn't about you being delivered from suffering. It's what you're being delivered into serving. Yeah. May I submit to you? Israel didn't see it that way. They saw it as we've been suffering. We've been hurting. We have this amazing promise. God will give us milk and honey. And finally, God sent Moses. And God is going to serve us by setting us free instead of we will serve God by being set free. Why? Because God said it here. They will serve me in the wilderness. They didn't serve him in the wilderness. They complained in the wilderness. They complained in the wilderness. They complained in the wilderness. We don't have this. We don't have that. We don't have this. We don't have that. Servants don't do that. Servants don't do that because Jesus tells bunch of servants, "Take some water and tell the main guy that's in charge of the wedding, this is why the servants this, are you crazy? You're going to get us fired." Servants don't do that. Servants submit. Servants don't ask a lot of questions. They yield. And God saw these people, but in the wilderness, they didn't serve him. They serve their own agenda and they serve their own purpose. God didn't set Israel free to Rome, but to worship and to walk with him. Real freedom is not doing your will. It is being released to do his will. Real freedom, see, it's not about God getting you delivered from Pharaoh. Pharaoh could be depression. Pharaoh could be nightmares. It could be witchcraft. It could be a cult. It could be drugs. It could be al alcoholism. It could be abusive relationship. It is not about what you're being delivered from. I want you to keep noticing. Let my people go. Let my people go. And God was very clear. He was so clear that even Pharaoh said, "Go and serve your God." Pharaoh's servants said, "Let them go and serve their God." Remember, this wasn't about the promised land. It was about serving. They missed that. See, between your Egypt and your promised land, there is this process called wilderness. From your deliverance to your dominion, there is this process called disciplehip. And this disciplehip is when you are devoted unto Jesus. It's when you recognize God sets you free for himself. Through deliverance, you don't get more of God. God gets more of you. God finally has your attention. He finally has your night. He finally has your finance. He has everything. It is not bound by drugs. It is not bound by your ex. It is not bound by somebody. It is free for him. That's not the idea we have of freedom. Our idea of freedom is I suffered so much, wasted so much money, I wasted so much of my time. God sets me free. I can finally rebuild my broken life. I can finally do what I need to do. I can finally do what blesses me, what prospers me. I need to build me. And I do hope God can come alongside and help me with that goal. Our version of salvation and freedom is God, take away the suffering and the pain because it really hurts. I met you on the bottom down and you please take away all of that so now I can have life that you have for me. See, we think we are free to live. We are free to serve. And if you miss that, you will be stuck in the wilderness and never reach the thing God promised you. Because to reach the thing that God promised you, you have to die to it and live toward one thing. That they may serve me. that they may serve me. Freedom without service is rebellion in disguise because deliverance is not our destination. Devotion is deliverance that does not lead to disciplehip will not lead to dominion. It will lead to defeat. When I was serving in Benton County Jail, I wasn't serving my sentence as a criminal. I was serving the word of God as a servant of God. This is not to put down anybody who have that as part of your testimony. They would pat me every single week because I was like 22 years old walking with the Bible and a hat, which I don't wear hats and uh you know, thick Russian accent and you know I'm like I'm there to preach the gospel. They're like, "Yeah, right." And so every single week they would pat me and and open my Bible, check every page, make sure I'm not sneaking in any drugs into the prison. But I would go into different pods on different floors and I would go into one pod, do a service with my little CD player, go to another pod, do a service, and then go to another floor and do a service and I'll be done with my services. One time I when I exited the the jail, I felt the Holy Spirit drop something in my heart. He said, "It's interesting how you can go from and sometimes I met people in one pod and then a few weeks later I met them in a different floor in a different pod." And I felt the Holy Spirit say something at that time to my life. And he says, "When you're delivered from bondage only to be enslaved to selfishness, you're in the same prison in a different pod." When God sets you free, he doesn't remove the bondage as much as he replaces who you were loyal to. In bondage, you are your freedom is taken. In serving, your freedom is willingly given. The idea that you're gonna be free to do what you want is deception. A train off the tracks can do what it wants. It's not going to get anywhere. Why Christian life for many people is shallow, superficial, and feel stuck, and Christians are bored. This is why. You're free from something that was hurting you only to be in bondage to something that you now are hurting yourself. You are bored because you're not exciting. I don't care how great you are. If you're the center of your universe, if everything revolves around you and God exists at your pleasure to do your will, your life is going to be very shallow spiritually. Plus, God doesn't do well being a servant. He is the king of the universe. He became a servant to tell all of us knuckleheads that this is the way to the promised land. To serve, not to be served. When you become the belly button of your existence. Everything is through you, for you, and by you. You're the center of the universe. And God is there to help you be fulfilled and be reached. And when God stops being useful, you switch offended. I don't believe in God. I deconstruct from faith. Why? Because this person died and God didn't answer my prayer. That thing happened. They hurt me at the church. Let me just ask you a question. Were you serving God or was he on your payroll? It won't work. It won't work. It didn't work for Israel. They came out. They thought God serves them. When the cucumbers didn't come in the right time, when the meat didn't come in the right time, they worship a calf. Why? Because God was a means to an end. It wasn't serving him. It was God supposed to be serving them. The dark unholy trinity that we all have inside of us and we wrestle with all the time, including the guy that's holding this microphone. It's called me, myself, and I. The center letter of the word sin is I. The center letter of the word pride is I. And the center letter of the word Lucifer is I. If I is the center of your life, you are in sin. You are in pride. And you are following the Lucifer. You might not be smoking. You might still know your Bible. You might even know John 3:16. And you might be sitting at the beautiful spot you are sitting at right now every single Sunday. My friend, that doesn't matter. What matters right now is this. Are you serving the Lord? Or does the Lord exist to serve you? That they may serve me at least to the degree that they serve the Pharaoh. See, when God sets us free, he doesn't set us free to roam around. He set us he sets us free so that now we can serve him. And many of us were like I want to get rid of the suffering. I don't want nobody tell me what to do. It's a prodical syndrome. You remember the prodical son? He was in the house. He was born in the house and he came to a time where he says, "Father, give me what is mine." I feel like that represents a lot of charismatics. They know what belongs to them. In other words, he was saying to his dad, "I wish you would have died faster, but since you're living too long, can I cash out on my inheritance?" Now, what is wrong with asking God for what God promised you? Absolutely nothing if it does not come from the place of serving. He got what he wanted and after that he left his dad. He left everything and he met the pigs. If your version of Christianity is give me what is mine, I am entitled to this. Everybody should treat me right. I it's all about me. That version of Christianity is prodical. You will meet the pigs very soon. And some of you are with them right now. And you're like, why is this not working? I speak in tongues 300 miles per hour. I went through the deliverance line. I got through a membership class. I went through an encounter. If your version of Christianity is about me, myself and I, and how God can help me, the church can help me, that version is a consumer version. It will lend you with pigs. Come on. That's where every selfish person has to be at to learn. It's not about you. The world doesn't revolve around you. The whole family is not about you. You cannot be mature if you don't embrace that. And you cannot even begin disciplehip until your life is laid at the altar of somebody who is the Lord. His name is not you. Prodical son comes back. I want you to notice what he didn't ask his dad. Hey dad, have you have any money left in your inheritance? The living trust. Do you have any money you occurred and an interest maybe perhaps that you can borrow me to buy a little beaten up Honda Civic? Hey daddy, can can I rent one of your rooms and can you No. No. He said this. He says, "Father, make me your servant." This is when you know when you're changed, not when you finally give me what's mine. Please understand, there's nothing wrong with asking the Lord, believing for me. Nothing wrong. It's the attitude from which it comes. If you're the center of the universe and everything is about you and everybody has to walk on eggshells because you're literally a ticking bomb about to explode and God forbid somebody doesn't. You're the Lord. Well, my friend, you better get used to the pigs because that's exactly where it's going to be. Vlad, I don't understand. I thought Jesus came to give me life. And you know how he gives that life? By first asking you to crucify yours. The common denominator of every problem in your life is you. The common denominator of every broken relationship in your life is you. When you look in the mirror every day, the source of all your problems is looking right at you. Jesus doesn't come to remodel that. That thing is so messed up, it can't be fixed. That's why Jesus takes our old self, nails it, not remodels it. So when we come to Christ, we think this thing needs to be alive and massaged and and perfumed. Jesus says, "No, this thing is so bad. It's the cause of all your problems." He says, "If you lay it down, he who keeps his life will lose it. But he who lays it down," he says, "you will find the milk and honey. You will find the promised land. But please understand the cost is going to be you." How did a man lose the paradise? He reached his hand to a tree and said, "My will be done." How did the man restore a paradise? He stretched his hand on the tree and said, "Thy will be done." Come on. Who who and you are going to be like? Are we going to be like Adam? We're going to walk into a paradise. We got saved. We got free will. I'm going to tell you how to mess up that paradise. My will. It's what I want. God exists for me. Everything has to serve me. No, no, no, no, no. You're going to lose the paradise very soon. That they may serve me. The fear is, "Oh, I'm going to lose my dreams. I'm going to lose my desires." My friend, devil will take him anyway. Don't worry. No one loses a thing who gives it to the Lord. Everything is safe in God's hands. And nothing is saved in my hand. Number two, you can't serve God in Egypt. Exodus 8:25-26, Pharaoh said, "Sacrifice in the land." Moses said, "We can't." God's service does not happen in Egypt. You must come out. Egypt represents bondage. It represents compromise and worldliness. You must leave compromise to live consecrated. Deliverance precedes devotion. You can't live in bondage and say you're fully serving God. I would say the real reason why we don't serve the Lord is because we're still in bondage to the world. Everything else is just a lame excuse. Once you are freed serving the only people who get delivered radically changed, usually the problem they have is they serve too much. and they need to be toned down and say, "Hey, just just cool down a little bit." Unless their version of Christianity exists for this, it's about me and the whole world revolves around me and I'm so broken. God seems to be a good option because I can't afford a therapist right now. My insurance doesn't cover counseling. So, prayer line is free. So, let me go get some of that God stuff. I hear that it helps people now that God helped to give me a jump start and he was useful for a season. But of course, I won't be giving anything up. Why? Because it's about me. Everyone serves my purpose. You're still in Egypt. And honestly, it doesn't matter if you can prophesy paint off the walls and cast demons out of mosquitoes, you're still in Egypt. What makes Christianity different is its upside down kingdom. You have to die to live. You have to go down to go up. You have to pick up the cross to find the crown. And you have to lose yourself to find yourself. It's an upside down kingdom. There's there's no skipping around that. Jesus was not an Instagram influencer. He was the savior of the world. Didn't ask people to be his fans. He asked them to be his followers. Jesus Christ modeled this for us. And he said to his disciples, he says, "I didn't come to be served. I came to serve. Which means the one that you follow didn't exist for himself. He existed for something bigger than himself. And he said, if you want to be my follower, I'm not talking about wear a fish on the bumper of your car or a crucifix on your neck. If you want to be like me, you're going to have to serve like me. I understand some of you listening to me right now. You're like, "Man, this triggers me because I used to go to a church like that and I got burned out." What burned you out was not serving God. What burns you out is you started serving God and you forgot God in the process of serving and people burned you out. God doesn't burn people out. God is a fire that keeps you burning. People don't keep me burning. They bleed me out. But it is God. It is the passion of God for me, my relationship with him. And so that's why the Lord didn't say release these people that they may serve the tabernacle that they may serve the prayer line that they may serve the small group ministry. No, that they may serve me. Everyone starts there. A two, three years passes by as some knucklehead in the church. Somebody hurts your feelings. Somebody doesn't recognize you. Somewhere you got mistreated. It's just normal part of life that we live in this broken world. And next thing that happens is the serving to the Lord became man. This is hard and this is difficult. In order to continuously serve the Lord, you have to continuously serve the Lord. The Lord that means whatever you do here on Sunday morning on Tuesday night, you have to do it as unto the Lord, not unto Vlad, not unto Hungry Jen, and not unto somebody else. That is what will keep you strong and stable. Not because you get a paycheck and you're on a staff in the church. Not because there's a future in that. If you serve, there's some kind of a ladder you're going to climb and one day you're going to become something. No, because it pleases the Lord and you exist to serve the Lord. If you do not serve the Lord, you're going to serve something else that will keep you bored, that will keep you stuck, that will keep you shallow, and then you're going to wish to get out of that kind of Christianity because it's Christianity with the pigs. Amen. Number three, serving to God always involves a sacrifice. Have you noticed when we read the verses of Exodus, how many times interchangeably words a feast, a sacrifice, and serving were changed. Interchangeably. This is what I know about serving the Lord. When it's serving him, sacrifice will always be a part of your life. and joy. When you're not serving him, but it's something else. You will avoid sacrifice like a plague. And you may do everything right. You will be grumpy. Always upset about who's not serving. I'm doing more than other people. These people get paid. I don't even get paid. And I And you're always upset. Always walking around grumpy. There's no feast unto the Lord. So your your your life is like a funeral. Why? Because God is not the focus. You're now focused on other people and you're doing as minimum as you can so that nobody calls you out on that. That's that's not how God wants us to live. God wants us to serve him because it involves a sacrifice. Service is not a song. It's surrender. The first thing Israel was called to do after being delivered was worship through sacrifice. When there is no sacrifice, there is no true service. No sacrifice, no service. Everybody loves the idea of asking God to make them into a servant. And please understand, out of all the prayers you pray, this one God will answer the fastest. So for those of you like, man, never prayed a prayer God answered. Try this one. Try this way. Lord, make me a servant. Now, how do I know God will answer that prayer? The next day, somebody will treat you like one. like I can't believe they are so mean. It will start with your kids. It will start with your spouse. They're like what? And the Lord will say my prayer, your prayer being answered. Everyone wants to be a bridge to a dying world. Nobody wants to be walked upon. When you are treated like a servant, how do you respond? God wants to make you a servant. Now, this is does not give us a license to treat serving or people who serve as doormats. What I'm saying is the reality of this world we live in today. People unintentionally sometimes will not treat you like you deserve to be treated. And as long as your mentality is the one of a higher link, you will quit serving because you didn't get something in return. If your mentality is to serve him, you will serve him because it pleases him and it's unto him and I happen to serve these people. But I'm serving the Lord. What keeps me serving at Hungary Jen? I'm going to tell you, as amazing as everybody, all of you are a lot of you guys are very annoying. A lot of me to many of you is extremely annoying. I know that some people come and they're like, "Lad, he thinks he's all this and that. He thinks he got two million subscribers. He's some famous celebrity pastor. Look what he drives. He doesn't come every Sunday to church. He doesn't visit me at this and that. And some of you are offended by that. And I'm going to tell you this. What keeps me here and what will keep you here is not you serving Vlad and me serving you. As much as I love you, and I'm working on that even more, it is not you I committed my life to first. It is the Lord. When I was 16, I didn't commit my life to a dream of thousands locally, millions globally. When I was 16, I committed my life to the man who hung on that tree. And I said to him, if he takes away my insecurities and my migrant headaches, my life is his and he can do whatever he wants with it. And if he wants to send me somewhere freeze in Siberia and that's what pleases him, that's what he can do. And that is what drives my life till this day. Whether I have million of subscribers or zero, whether the church is big or the church is small, whether I'm influential or irrelevant, it makes absolutely no difference. That is the decision that has to be the fuel for my life today. And if somebody comes to church who backbit me, wrote something bad about me, or did something bad, and they come back, you know what? You are welcome here. Why? Because this is not my church. It is his church. And I happen to play a small part in this church. And this church is not going to be built around Vlad. If Vlad is not the main personality, this church is built around. Vlad didn't die for you. He's not coming back for you. It is Jesus that this church is built around. And for Jesus, this church is built around. I want to see Vlad every week. No. I want you to see God every week. I want to encounter Vlad. No, no, no, no. The vision of Hungry Jan is not to lead people to encounter Vlad daily. It is to lead people to encounter God daily. You exist for God. I'm just the guy that's pointing the finger and saying, "Let's chase him. Let's run after him." And I'm the first one to admit I make mistakes in chasing him. But I want to follow him. And I will love you and you will love me if both of us seek to serve him. And when we have little rough edges, we will become like iron that sharpens iron instead of people that have a reasons to make videos on YouTube about my experience at Hungry Jen. Not that any of you made that, but just in case you had ideas, I'm already ahead of you. Don't do it. Number four, serving is generational. It involves your whole household. Exodus 10:9, we will go with our young and our old, with our sons and our daughters. God doesn't want your personal devotion. He wants your family legacy. Which means you're not truly serving the Lord if you're intentionally leaving your family behind in our culture. I've noticed two extremes. One of them is this is when people make their marriage and their family into an idol and they serve their family. They will not go to church because well, kids have basketball. Well, who signed them up for basketball? You did. They didn't sign themselves up. You did. So, don't make your kids and your marriage into an idol. That will disappoint you when they leave the house. You will have nothing to live for. Plus, it shows bad example to make your kids the center of their universe. That's not maturity. That will not help them to mature. They'll be spoiled brats. It's not about them. It's about something else bigger than you, them, and all of us. The other extreme is when people sacrifice their family, sacrifice their marriage. They don't have Sabbath. They don't have family gatherings. Everything is about their ministry. And family is always left behind. And kids grow up hating God. Because not because the family took them to God is because the family went to God and left them behind. How we do it is we serve the Lord with our family. We take our kids with us. We remind them that we exist to serve the Lord. Like Joshua told the people of Israel, he says, "I don't know what you guys going to do with your families as me and my house. We will serve the Lord. We're not just going to believe in God intellectually. We're not just going to identify as Christians on Facebook status. We're actually going to serve the Lord." That means you can look at our calendar and you will see, hey, at this event we do. This event we do this where we go. Why? Because we serve the Lord. Other people serve other things. We serve the Lord. And I met with my wife, you know, like and we've been working on the vision for our house. Why does our house exist? As my little boy is growing up and we came to that vision and I want you to adopt it in your family. Maybe we can start making like these um prints that all of us will have it in our family. I'm going to start with mine and that is this house exists to serve the Lord. And I want to communicate it clearly from the beginning. We're going to serve something. We might as well serve the Lord. That means on Sunday, we don't ask our kids, "Do you want to go to church?" No. Our vision is very clear. It's on the board. We exist to serve the Lord. If you're under this roof, you're under you're in this house. The vision of this house is going to apply to your life. When you become an adult, hopefully we modeled it in such a way that you would want to follow that because you'll see the fruit in that. But in case we didn't, you still have a choice. But our choice, regardless of what you do, will be to serve the Lord. Amen. Amen. Serving God is not just personal. It is generational. We don't leave our families behind to serve God. We bring them with us. Our children don't just watch us serve God. They learn to serve with us. Number five, serving God involves our possessions. Exodus 10 26. Not a hoof shall be left behind, for we must take them to serve the Lord. Generosity and obedience do go together. God doesn't just want our time. He wants our treasure that's involved in worship. You haven't given your life to God if you haven't given him your stuff. Whatever you are holding back is really who you serve. Who you serve is seen by what you hold back. We have two options. One is we serve money. And I don't care how we make excuses about it, what hurt we've had before with churches we've been that didn't manage money properly. And there are churches who have done a great job of not stewarding people's resources and pastor taking all the money or abuses that have happened 100% but those do not validate our per individual commitment to live and serve God with everything we have. Not compartmentalize our life. when we begin to compartmentalize our life and say, "Well, I'm just going to serve God. I'm not going to involve my family." And the Pharaoh comes in and says, "Well, I'm going to keep your family." But Israel says, "No, no, no. We're taking we're taking our family. We will serve God with our family." Then Pharaoh says, "One more negotiating tricks that some people fell for." He says, "Well, you can take your family. Just could you leave the the cows and the sheep and the goats back? Could you leave the horses back?" And Moses says, "No, no, no." He says, "How will we sacrifice to our God without the flocks?" See, in their mind, Moses's mind, you cannot divorce your service to God from serving God with your money. We don't serve money. We serve God with our money. That's the difference. We serve money or we serve God with our money. Don't find this middle ground that some people found. Well, I serve God and I have money. That's not how that works. You're either serving God with your money or you are serving money, pretending to serve God. Jesus made it very clear. You cannot serve God. He didn't say and the devil. You cannot serve God and mammon. Meaning our competition for a heart isn't going to be Ouija boards, white magic, and crystals. The competition for the heart of a Christian is going to be a dollar. It's going to be money. And we will find all kinds of trickory things about it to hide our greed. But at the end of the day, it's really not about whether you're tithing. Are you serving God with your money? Amen. All of this comes to the end or all of this comes to one big thing. Why serving doesn't work for a lot of people is because of I believe it's a western, but it's not western. It started in Genesis chapter 3. It's a demonic thing. It penetrated into the church and it's a part of subtle teachings of ours behind pulpits all across the United States and the world. And that is we divorced Jesus the savior from Jesus the Lord. Genesis chapter 2, you'll read this. The Lord God, the Lord God, the Lord, we we skipped it. We just kind of Oh yeah, same thing. No, it's not the same thing. The Lord God, that means the God of the world, is also the Lord of the world. Look at how Satan presents it in Genesis 3:1. He doesn't say, "Has the Lord God said?" He said, "Has God said?" Why does Satan not include the word Lord to God? Because God is Satan's God. He's not his Lord. Satan first challenge to Eve is he removed the Lord. The Lord God. The Lord God. The Lord God. Satan comes and says, "Has God said?" And Eve falls for it. Yes, God has. What happened to the Lord? She just stepped out from his lordship. Oh, yeah. I'm still in his paradise. He is Jehovah. He's the great God. He is not my Lord anymore. And when she starts talking to the snake, she steps out of the lordship. And well, we know what happens next. You know that Judas called Jesus rabbi, never Lord. Jesus called him friend, not Lord, not his disciple. I'm sorry. Judas was a part of the inner circle. In fact, he had a position Jesus's staff. He was running money. Be careful. Our church director, a church finance director. He had a title. He probably had a check from Jesus, some kind of ministry. But there's one thing that Judas did not have in relationship to Jesus. He was a great teacher. phenomenal water walker, amazing bread multiplier. Like this guy empties tombs, he raises the dead. And I love that about Jesus. He is my rabbi, not my Lord. Interestingly, the early church's first confession was Jesus is Lord. Now in the context, the Caesar was Lord at the time, meaning God. So for a church to say Jesus is Lord, they're pretty much saying Caesar is not God, Jesus is. That could cost you your life. Today saying Jesus is Lord doesn't cost you anything. You can just say it without meaning it. Interestingly is in the New Testament, the word Lord appears 747 times. Savior only 25 times. May I submit to you the Christianity you and I are exposed to, you heard more about Jesus being a savior than about being a Lord. In book of Acts, the word Lord is mentioned 92 times. Do you know how many times the word savior is mentioned? Twice. We've reduced Christianity to this because we want as many people to be saved. In other words, as many people to raise their hands, as many people come to the altar. We just want to empty hell and populate heaven. Do you think Jesus did not want that and that's why he died? Yet he never made the call to follow him easy. In fact, he raised the bar so high people left disappointed. We lowered the bar so low that anybody can come in and we leave the small print left and we get a lot of superficial false conversions who embrace Jesus as an insurance card as something that you put in a glove box of your theological preferences and hopefully it works when you die but it doesn't change your life and that's why not only doesn't change your life you find no joy in it. That's so good. It doesn't work that they may serve me. It's why he sent Moses and it's why he sent Jesus. Now I understand this is going to cause the altacle to be smaller today. I would rather we have few followers than many fans. Fans they sit and gather in a crowd. followers pick up the cross, deny themselves, and follow the lamb where the lamb goes. He is not just our savior. He is our lord. And you can't accept him as a savior and hopefully one day embrace him as a lord. It's one package. And when you come to him, you come for all of it. Salvation is not just a rescue. It's a recruitment. You're not just being saved from something. You are saved for something. This is not perfection. This is not legalism. See, that's what happens when we have had such a watered down gospel presented. Anything about holiness triggers us. It's illegalism. Jesus is Lord and he deserves to be Lord. You can choose to submit to him as your Lord. Or if you're smart, sneaky, you can choose to profess lordship without possessing it. Matthew 7 says this. He says, "Many will come to me that day who heard a message similar to this and will say,"Lord, Lord," and he said, "I don't know who you are." Why? You knew how to say it. You practice lawlessness. This is not people who struggle meaning you make your life getting better at sinning justifying is saying well it's okay. He says I never knew you but Jesus I served Jesus I cast out demons. He says well yeah you operated in the gifts in the church they operate in the gifts. You said Lord my friend it's not about singing Lord. It's about surrendering to the Lord. And this is not perfection. And this is surrender. And many of us would rather hold on to a broken up life than surrender that brokenness to the Lord who created you and who said if you let it go on the other side is resurrection, you will find new life, my life, milk and honey in the promised land. Why he didn't put a carrot in front of the Israelites of milk and honey? Because it wasn't about milk and honey. It was about serving the Lord. Whether in poverty or prosperity, whether in sickness or in health, whether in lack or in abundance, in the wilderness, serve the Lord. And then the promised land becomes reality. I want to invite you to serve the Lord. If you're coming to our church and you've been burned by serving, I want to ask you kindly not to hurt you more than you already been wounded. Did you serve the Lord? Or did you start to serve the Lord and lost track and the ministry burned you? But in the beginning it didn't because he was the one you were serving. You forgot who you were serving. And the serving got tiresome and burdensome. I want to ask you not to come back to serving on our team. I want you to come back to serving him. I want you to repent of compartmentalized two-tier Christianity. Normal Christians, Jesus is savior, ultimatum Christians or supreme Christians, you know, like you have the car wash, a basic and then you have like the like the nicer one that wash underneath of the car, they shine your tires, you know, you got the normal burger and then you got the supreme one. Like get two patties. They they put all kinds of stuff there. And many of us what we did with Christianity is we did the same thing. The savior the savior has been taught so much and we divorced him from the lord that we took the basic package and said well one day I will embrace more cheese and more lattice and bigger fries and instead of a small cup a large maybe even extra large. Jesus doesn't come in two tiers. You don't get him compartmentalized savior and lord one Jesus lord and savior. If you don't get him as the lord kindly will submit to you. You don't have him at all. What you have is a religion. And I can tell you one thing. You're bored to death with your Christianity. You're stuck in your Christianity. And you're empty in your heart. everything you have and you have nothing. And this is why keep being the belly button of your universe. You'll keep being bored and keep being stuck because you and I are terrible lords but amazing servants. Step down from the crown. Step down from the throne. Get on the cross. Let the king of glory take the throne. You take the cross, you will find life with Jesus. You will not know what to do with it. It will be abundant. It will be his life flowing through you. Come on. I want you to rise to your feet. That they may serve me. I want you to close your eyes and bow your head. Are you here and you are a Christian? But man, that serving part, it's not there. Maybe you're here. You used to serve. Maybe you are here and you're part of our staff, part of our leadership team, volunteer team, but you're burned out. You're tired. And some people do need to find better rhythms, 100%. But some of us, they just need to bet find a different reason for why we serve. Is this that person for you? Are you that person who needs to find that better reason? If you're here and you're saying, "Vlad, I used to serve in another church or I used to serve someone else. I'm I'm pretty bummed out, pretty burned out, and today conviction, Holy Spirit, hit me." It's about encountering the Lord and serving him before I serve people. If that's you, just raise your hand. If you're here today and you've been coming to Hungry Jen and you've been the consumer, this is your church now. It's for a while and you found every excuse in the book to say, "Well, I'm in the season where I don't need to serve. Kind of busy." And today, Holy Spirit's convicting and saying, "You know what? It's time to go back to the team that you used to serve and start serving." Find somewhere where you serve, not just for yourself, but somebody else. Just raise their hand if they're saying, "This is you. I need to come back to serving. I need to come back to serving. Thank you. You can put your hand down now. Put your hand on your heart. Precious Holy Spirit, I can preach your word with every fiber of my being and it burns in me like a fire shot up in my bones. But Lord, only you can convict our hearts. Without your conviction, Holy Spirit, it's just a lot of noise. A preacher sweating and yelling. But Lord, when your conviction comes, we're changed. And I ask you, precious Holy Spirit, that you will convict our hearts, including mine in areas where my life should be given in service to you. The church doesn't exist to serve me. My family doesn't exist to serve me. I serve my family. And because of that, I receive that joy. I receive those benefits, that promised land. The wilderness is to serve you. The hard times is to serve you. The good times is to serve you. in every time to serve you, Lord. When it's lack or when it's abundance, we are going to serve you. We make that promise again and again. Jesus, you're not just my friend, you're my king. Jesus, you're not just my savior, you're my Lord. Jesus, you're the God of my life. Jesus, I repent and resign from being on the throne of my heart. Jesus, I say with Paul, it's no longer I, but Christ who lives in me. And the life which I live now, I live for the glory of God. For him who died and loves me. I live by faith in you, Jesus. I would trip up and struggle and fall, but you will help me every time because serving you is my life's aim. It's why my family exists to serve you, Jesus. You don't exist to serve us, Lord. We exist to serve you. and you're so good, God. We love you, Lord. Now, every head bowed and every eye closed in both of our rooms. If you're here visiting us today for the first time, or maybe you've been coming for some time already, second week, third week, or perhaps you've been a nominal Christian and today a sharp blade of God's word hurt your heart and your heart is realizing, I need to get right with God. I'm not what I'm supposed to be. I'm that person who can say Lord, Lord, but I don't know that I know him. I don't know that I'm born again. I don't know that. In fact, I have the conviction today has to be the day where I give my life to Jesus. And I'm not just going to pray a prayer. I will lay my life for Jesus. Perhaps you are here and you're visiting us today for the first time. A family, a girlfriend or or a friend or a coworker brought you in and and the whole service you're sitting on the edge of your seats like, man, why is this guy? But while your mind is processing and even maybe getting offended, your heart is screaming. That's it. That's what you're missing. That's what you need. You're selfish. Your life revolves around you. That's why you abuse and hurt people. You need to repent. You need to die to yourself. And Jesus is going to be the one that's going to save you. That's for you, bro. That's for you, lady. I'm gonna give you that call. I'm gonna give you that opportunity to say yes to Jesus. It will be the riskiest and the craziest and the most exhilarating and exciting thing you've done in your life. But that's exactly what's been missing in your life. You've been lost today. You're about to give yourself up to Jesus and he will find you. When I count to three, if you need to get right with Jesus, there's a God-sized hole in your heart and nobody can fill and you need God to come in and forgive you of your sins, I'm going to ask you to raise your hand. What if you're in this room and you backslid? You walked away from Jesus. You used to walk with the Lord and just stuff happened. People did stuff and good people, Christian people did stuff and you're so bitter and offended. You're sleeping, living with pigs, unforgiveness and bitterness, weight of guilt and shame. It's time to come back home. It's time to leave that lifestyle and come back to Jesus. Not to hungry Jen, not to Vlad, to Jesus. He's waiting for you. When I count to three, I'm going to ask you to raise your hand as well. One, two, three. Just raise that hand high. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. In second sanction as well, just lift that hand high. Jesus is calling you. If you raise that hand or you wanted to raise your hand, I'm going to ask you quickly to come out of your seat and come right now. Right here quickly. Let's go. Let's go. And church, give them a round of applause. The second sanctuary, they will bring you here as well. Come. Come. Let's go. Let's go. Wow. Who do I see here? God bless you. Boyfriend. Husband. Husband. Okay. See, that's it. Leave the church. Bring a husband back. I love this. Amazing. God bless you. Go. What's your name? Pablo. Pablo. Awesome. Awesome. Anybody else? I saw more hands that were going up. And if Let's go. Just one more second. Few more seconds that I'm going to give you. Today is the day that the Lord wants to be your Lord and your Savior. Amen. Whatever you find yourself in today, nothing is too difficult, God cannot forgive. Nothing too difficult, God cannot remove, restore, and make new. Amen. Those of you watching us online, you can drop in the chat, I want to be saved, and Jesus will meet you right there where you are at. Now, I want you guys to just open, set your hands like this. You can hold your hands together, your marriage. It's completely cool. It's not a two for one, but but you can do that, right? And I want you to pray this church. Let's pray with them. Say, Lord Jesus Christ, Lord Jesus Christ, I believe I believe you are the son of God. You are the son of God. Who came on this earth who came on this earth to serve and die to serve and die. You died for my sins. You were buried. And you rose again. I repent of everything I've done. I repent of everything. Would you wash me with your blood? Make me new. Make me new. I yield my life to you. I receive you as my savior. I receive and I submit to you as my Lord. I submit to you as my Lord. Here is my life. Here is my life. It belongs to you now. It belongs to you now. In Jesus name. Amen. Amen. Amen. And now Pastor Ricker is going to talk to you for just a moment and just just follow them right now. Church, give them a round of applause. Our service has come to an end. Hungry Jen exists to lead people to encounter God daily based on Matthew 6:33 which says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added to you." God bless.
