Thank you It feels so good to be so young and have this fun and be successful I'm so successful And girl you too, you are so young and beautiful I'm so successful I'm so successful Good morning everyone and welcome back to my channel Today's video is about all of the best tips on how you're going to glow up physically and mentally In the first half of the video I'm going to go through all of the physical glow up tips And in the second half I'm gonna be sitting down and doing a deep talk through of all of the mental glow up tips It is very early in the morning right now I have just woken up but I thought this would be a great place to start with the physical glow up step number one is To invest in your bed sheets I only ever sleep with satin pillowcases because it's really good for your hair and your skin and I learned this lesson way too late in Life, but you should really invest in your loungewear going to sleep in cute PJs It makes me feel like such a girly girl and it makes me feel cute even when I'm lounging at home We're going to sleep doing nothing. It really makes me feel put together So I feel my best I'm not going to stay on my phone for too long because first thing every morning I always head to the gym I've also started drinking a glass of lemon water every morning as well google the benefits because they are endless before I head to the gym let's talk skincare Glowing up has to start with your oral hygiene, not only should you be brushing your teeth but also using a tongue scraper and floss and then onto skincare. I like to use gentle ingredients because that's really what's cleared my acne.
So first and foremost I start with my eye cream, then a gentle moisturiser, SPF every day with zinc to clear my acne and then a gua sha and I use bio oil underneath. Okay I just got ready for the gym. Top is Lululemon, this little hoodie to keep me warm is also from Lululemon and then it makes a match with these leggings from Besson. and yeah I've just slicked my hair into a bun and now I'm gonna head and do some exercise. Taking your supplements every day is an underrated part of a glow-up okay it can help with so many issues like a hormonal imbalance, your skin, it can help with hair growth, nail growth, everything.
Right before the gym I'll also take my protein shake this is pea protein and it tastes gross okay look at this Look at that. But it's really good for you. It doesn't have a lot of sugar in it.
It doesn't have dairy in it. So I have to take it. And then I drive to the gym.
Now as someone who works from home all day, every day at a desk and doesn't move, I live quite a sedentary lifestyle. So going to the gym is essential at me toning my body and maintaining my physique. After the gym, I'll come back and I'll shower. And this itself has a self-care routine. I always do dry brushing beforehand.
And this helps with lymphatic drainage. And I'll oil my hair sometimes. Another step I've been taking in my glow-up routine is to really take... care of my hair. So in the mornings I take my Bambi brush and I like to give my scalp a thorough brush and then I take this little pink scalp massager, it's from Amazon as well as my brush and they're both linked on my Amazon, for around five minutes every single morning to promote hair growth.
See a physical glow up isn't just about the makeup, it's about the entire beauty regime that you practice every single day. That's all done, now let's head down and make a healthy breakfast. Okay so let's start with my morning matcha recipe. I'm drinking matcha over coffee because better for you so in one glass I'll have my metal straw and my cubed ice and then your milk of choice.
I drink almond milk every day and then I have my matcha powder in this glass. I'm just gonna pour boiling hot water over that and then I take my frother and whisk that all up. And then you pour the matcha right on top.
And because matcha is dry green tea, it actually has a lot of anti-inflammatory properties, meaning it's really good for your skin as well. Most days, I make this vegan, low-sugar and high-fiber, healthy yogurt and fruit bowl for breakfast. I do the exact same glam every single day. I know exactly what works for my face because I've spent so much time researching online the specific makeup techniques.
You don't need to buy a lot of makeup. It's more about knowing how to do it correctly. The key is to enhance your natural features, not hide them. That is my everyday makeup.
day glam. Now that I'm all ready, it's time for lunch. So let me show you guys what my new go-to healthy lunch has been recently.
Fixing up my diet, cutting out sugar and consuming mostly veggies and protein has done wonders for my physical glomer. My skin has never been clearer, my body has never looked better and I also feel more energized as a result. This right here is one of my new favorite recipes. It's super easy to make and it literally tastes so divine, I cannot even tell you. That is lunch serve.
This is like my new go-to. I'm so obsessed and it's so yummy! The last step of a physical glow up is to experiment with your look and never be afraid to switch it up. Try some colored contacts, try different makeup, go out and buy a new wardrobe.
For me I'm trying out different hairstyles because I've never really been good at it and I'm having so much fun with it like trying extensions Look at that pony. I feel like a new woman. Hi guys, it's nice to actually be sat down and talking to you guys now.
I hope you enjoyed the first half of this video, which was all about how you're going to have a physical glow up through your beauty regime and all of that good... stuff and now we're going to be talking about how to glow up mentally before we do i want to touch on one more thing about having a physical glow up which is honestly ultimately working on your insecurities is the best way to have a physical glow up because confidence is real attractiveness but i will touch more on confidence throughout this section of the video so the reason i'm sat on this side of the screen for this video is i'll be making a bunch of notes right here so you guys can screenshot and it's easy for you to remember this part of the video is going to be split into four sections so it will be how to glow up through your day-to-day habits, the new practices you're going to implement, your mindset, and lastly your confidence. So let's start on how you can go up mentally through your day-to-day habits.
I want to start this with the gym because as you guys saw through the first half of the video, I start every single morning by going to the gym. Going to the gym to stay in shape and tone up is a great benefit I get from going to the gym but ultimately when I look at the gym I'm thinking I'm going there because the feeling I'm going to get when I walk out of the gym after having my workout My mood is going to be all the way up here. I'm going to be so happy. The sense of accomplishment and joy I feel after even just like a 45 minute workout is incredible. And I'm addicted to that feeling.
Exercising daily does wonders for your mental health. And that's why I want to include it as the first step in your mental glow up. Step two in the day-to-day habits for a mental glow up is to have a clean environment. Reset everything, give your bedroom a makeover, literally reinvent your daily space whether that's your office or your bedroom or your kitchen if that's where you spend the most time.
The environment that you're existing in and seeing on a daily basis is also a reflection of your current mental state. They actually link together, they have a correlation which is why you'll find when you're having a bad mental health period you'll probably stop cleaning your room. When you stay on top of everything you you decorate everything really nice, you feel inspired by your environment, it feels homely, it feels cozy, which is what I've done with my bedroom so many times.
It will allow you to work better, to relax better, to chill out and to feel zen. Three, have a daily routine and productivity systems in place to get the most out of your day. It's easier to stay on top of mental glow-up habits. when you create them into a routine because then it just becomes part of your natural flow you wake up and you know i have to do this isn't this it doesn't even feel like a chore anymore i know as soon as i wake up i'm doing my skincare i'm heading to the gym i come back i shower i have a healthy breakfast similarly i never skip my self-care because i've incorporated that into my nighttime routine the next step is to create a workflow so that you can be more productive now nothing ruins my mood gets me down and just actually ruins the whole structure of my day more than when i have a bunch of work to do and i do nothing but procrastinate or put it off or I take three hours to do what should have been a 30-minute task.
I literally discovered this two weeks ago, and ever since I started implementing it, it changed my life. Now, this is based on actual fact that you literally just choose one per row to get into a workflow state. And the last step in your daily habits on how to have an internal glow-up is to fix your sleep schedule.
I wish I knew the importance of this beforehand because the way that having an irregular, messed-up, or lack of sleep in your sleeping routine can mess you up so... Badly and literally cause havoc on your hormones your stress levels your mood your day-to-day habits everything I also found out that the effects of one night of bad sleep or a lack of sleep then causes your cortisol So your stress levels to be heightened for the next 36 hours you're gonna be all over the place on a regular basis if you don't sort out your sleep Okay, the next part on how to glow up mentally is to implement new practices. You are gonna start a gratitude journal This will also do amazing things for your mood and it's also a form of manifestation making sure that you are vibrating at a high frequency always and it will allow you to bring and attract better things into your life because you're constantly practicing gratitude on a daily basis if you are interested in journaling i would also recommend having a separate journal where you just get to thought dump everything that happened in your day and this way all of the mental clutter you pick up on on a daily basis you are letting go of it you are protesting it you are saying it's gone it's on the page it's out of your system you are no longer suppressing bad feelings or negative emotions you need to start incorporating some sort of healthy habits into your everyday life now this is all down to personal preference what your life goals are maybe it's to start eating healthier so you can clear your skin lose a bit of weight maybe it's to go to the gym so you can regulate your mood like i said and the reason you need to start incorporating some sort of healthy habits is because you need to signal to your brain i am doing everything i can for my future self i am prioritizing having a better tomorrow a better next week, a better month, a better year, a better decade of my life rather than focusing on temporary pleasures.
And that leads me on to the next step which is get serious about your goals and make a plan where you get this big goal that you want to achieve maybe in the next few years and you break that down into yearly or monthly achievements and then you break that down even smaller to small actionable steps that you can incorporate into your daily routine so you know you're staying on top of your vision and your goals and you're incorporating a small habit every single day that is slowly going to lead you to actually achieving that goal and it's gonna make you feel really good about yourself because you're gonna go to sleep every night being like wow i worked towards that big goal Thing that I've been wanting for ages yet again And it just gives you reassurance that you're actually gonna get that and that's an amazing belief and we'll just add to your self-confidence Next in the new practice list start taking pictures and videos of your everyday life. They don't need to be perfect They don't need to be filtered. They don't need to be posted on social media whatsoever It could be a picture of you literally just standing behind your mom taking a picture of her cooking in the kitchen because that's what she Does every day and you just want to remember that sweet moment when you do this you start to see joy and excitement in the little Things that you would have ignored every single day Otherwise and you can start documenting your life You can start watching what you used to be like and actually physically see your evolution and your transformation This leads to further inspiration and confidence And it gives you a better picture of how far you've come and how far you want to go next The next step is to figure out your passion or pick up a new hobby so that you can start having me time The quickest way to be miserable is to center your day-to-day life around your commitments and that is it.
You deserve to carve time out once a day or maybe even once a week to just do something out of pure enjoyment and not commitment, not because it's your job, not because it's going to make you money. You taking the time to pick up a hobby like learning a new instrument or painting or drawing is going to make you feel way more accomplished than coming back from work, watching Netflix or TikTok for four hours, going to sleep and then waking up the next day and doing all over again. Next! start believing and start living your dream lifestyle now.
If your dream lifestyle is to become super rich and live a luxury lifestyle, start incorporating little bits of that within your means as you can now. For example, dine out at a five-star fancy restaurant as often as you can, maybe once a month, maybe every three to six months. When you start surrounding yourself with things like luxury or you start to buy yourself high-end makeup instead for example You are affirming to yourself that this can become a reality that you're meant for this lifestyle that you can afford this lifestyle and that This lifestyle is achievable And lastly in new practices you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with choose wisely And the thing with this is these five people don't need to be physically present You don't need to personally know them. You don't need to hang around with them This is the truest saying ever and essentially what it means is The five people that you hang around the most with, your friends, your inner circle, whoever you're listening to, whoever you're talking to the most, will influence your actions, your mindset, they'll influence you as a person basically and you'll become more like them and that's going to alter the trajectory of your life.
So these five people can be the TV shows you watch, the documentaries you watch, the books you read, the podcasts you listen to, etc. Jay Shetty and Stephen Butler are literally in my five people because I don't listen to anybody talk more than I listen to them. I listen to them every single day. I read a self-help book. every single day.
Even down to the creators and the influencers you follow online, whatever content you're consuming on a daily basis will rub off. One, stop dwelling on the past and become present with the moment you're in right now. that is where you will achieve the ultimate peace.
And honestly, the best person to give you advice on this is Eckhart Tolle. You need to read the book, The Power of Now. It's the best self-help book.
It will solve majority of your emotional issues. The past is done, it's gone. What benefit is it gonna bring you to dwell on it?
And my favorite piece of advice that I've started living by to actually achieve this is you need to imagine every morning when you wake up that you have just woken up on that day. When I woke up this morning, this was the first day of my life. life.
I am not carrying any baggage, any trauma, anything from the past into today. So today and tomorrow and the day after that is the first day of my life. I'm waking up with all of the things I have accomplished, all of the lessons I've learned but none of the past baggage, trauma, limiting beliefs, negativity, none of that.
Two, it is crucial that you learn to forgive yourself and others for everything that's happened in the past. It's okay to make mistakes, it's okay to mess up, it's okay if you didn't get it right that time. And if you hurt somebody or you played a bad role in a situation, I hope you've learned from it, but please forgive yourself for it.
Nobody deserves to feel this immense sense of guilt and self-doubt for their entire lives. If you want to level up in life, if you want to have the internal glow up, you need to let go of any grudges, any anger, any negativity that you're holding on towards others, any resentment, any of that, because you're never going to fully be able to love. and be positive and manifest and do all the great things in life if you're harboring all of this negativity inside of you because you just can't let it go three work on your trauma triggers and heal your inner child recollect all of those negative memories that you might be pushing down and hiding and avoiding and suppressing bring it all up to the surface deal with it and process it and think about how it's affecting your current life and what triggers that you've gained from those traumatic situations how it's affected your thoughts your perceptions your mindset and reverse all of that work backwards from it another great way to achieve in a child healing and overcome traumatic thoughts and triggers google inner child healing prompts and google images will come up with a bunch of questions write down these questions in your journal and and answer them to the best of your ability i've done this so many times over and it's really helped learn about myself and overcome a lot of negativity that i was harboring over the years to get so picky with your time energy it is precious and you should never give it to just anybody it might make you look rude it might make you look stuck up it doesn't matter because there is no worse feeling than knowing that you wasted your time and energy on something that didn't benefit you that drained you that probably left you worse off than you were in the beginning don't do it let people earn your time and energy and until they do invest all of it into yourself bettering yourself reaching your goals making sure you're fulfilled and happy on a daily basis and lastly you Re-evaluate what you're tolerating into your life every day. For example, if you're tolerating a situation into your life, it might be fun and games in the beginning and be light-hearted and easy-going and cute and romantic, but what that's actually going to do long term is cause more stress, it's going to take up more mental space because you're so confused about what you even are with this situation. It's probably going to lower your confidence to be with someone who refuses to be in a relationship with you or put a label on what you guys are and actually commit to you.
it's not worth it so even though it might seem easy and fun and games in the beginning you need to evaluate what am i tolerating and what is going to be the end result of this so that i can save myself that pain and that stress long term because i deserve better than that and that leads us on to the last category of how to glow up mentally and that is confidence listen okay leveling up your confidence is the key it's the key to happiness it's the key to feeling yourself it's the key to also having a glow up internally and physically Step number one, stop comparing yourself to others and believe in your own source. I don't care what that girl has. I don't care how pretty she is.
Her beauty does not take away from your beauty. Whatever she has, whether it's really long, beautiful, thick hair, whether it's the best outfit, the best body, you also have a bunch of amazing, ideal, attractive qualities that she doesn't have. But you don't see her out here complaining. She's believing in her own source. She sees what makes her amazing.
She's grateful for the great features that she has. and she's out here living life with them. Meanwhile, you're ignoring all of the amazing qualities you have because you're so concerned with what everybody else has.
Two, take the time to learn your self worth and your value so that other people don't decide it for you. This is something I struggled with so much growing up because I didn't work on my self worth. Whatever other people's thoughts, perceptions, their insults, whatever they wanted to say about me. then became my thoughts and perceptions about myself. Because I didn't know who I was, I didn't know what to think about myself, I didn't really have an opinion on myself.
Now, it doesn't matter what anybody says to me, no amount of hate on social media or insults could ever get to me. Because ultimately, I know how great I am, I know how special I am, I know me, my heart, my intentions. So no other outside thoughts or opinions can shake that.
Because I've built such a strong foundation of my worth and value. Three, I challenge you. To step outside of your comfort zone.
See, the key to confidence is to say that you're going to do something and then actually do it. That is the ultimate strategy to reducing self-doubt and building your confidence. Every time you step outside of your comfort zone and you're like, I don't know, I've never really done this, but you know what, I'm just going to try and we're just going to see if I do it. The worst thing in that situation is you might fail.
So what? We try again or we try something different. It's not that big of a deal. We are not embarrassed around here.
Which also leads me to saying, side note, embarrassment is just a social construct. It's just a concept. It's not a real thing.
You can choose not to feel embarrassed. But yeah, step outside of your comfort zone. Try things you've never tried before. Because when you finish the activity, that task, whatever you were going to do, and you succeeded at it, because you will, you will be on cloud nine.
You'll feel so good about yourself and then it'll become addicting. Then you'll want to step out of your comfort zone even more. And not only is that going to increase your confidence, but that might lead you to learning new skills and getting new opportunities.
being in new environments, exploring, travelling, whatever. And it will level up not only you internally, but your entire life. Set your boundaries, because nothing says insecure than somebody who is a people pleaser and lets people walk all over them because they're constantly seeking validation and approval from others.
You don't need validation and approval from others, you can give that to yourself. And in turn, you'll live a more peaceful life because you'll be able to say no to people and you won't let them cross your personal space and your personal boundaries. If you don't like the way that somebody's talking to you, you don't like their tone, you don't like how they're treating you or how they're taking advantage of your kindness or your patience, you will say that to them and you will set a boundary and your boundary's terms will be, if you cross this boundary again, now that I've communicated it to you in a mature and kind and peaceful manner, if you now cross that, I can't tolerate you anymore. You are not allowed in my circle in my life because...
I deserve better than that. And I'm not going to tolerate people who are made aware of my boundaries and continue to disrespect them. Because then you don't see my worth. You don't see my value. You don't respect me as a person.
That's how you need to be moving in your everyday life. And that brings us to the end of this video. I hope you guys enjoyed this video.
