the 11th characteristic of the apostolic church and culture is the ministry of signs and wonders throughout the Book of Acts the entire book is filled with miracles signs and wonders performed by the Holy Spirit through the apostles and right in the beginning acts 243 talks about the signs and wonders were taking place with the apostles when the church was birthed and so the church um locally on a weekly basis say the signs and wonders and the Miracles should be a norm within God's people in community you know Acts 3 1-10 you know there it talks about the healing of the beggar you know he asked for silver and gold but Peter says in the name of Jesus stand up and walk and he gets completely healed and all of a sudden there's this entire crowd that comes around at Solomon's porch you know wondering what took place and how this crippled man uh was was healed in Acts 5: 1-1 you know there's ananas and saf who lied to the Holy Spirit and they were struck dead you know that's another miracle sign and wonder that brought the awe of God and the fear of God to the church and then act in Acts 68 Steven was performing Miracles and signs and wonders this is when uh you know the apostles were were giving themselves to the word and to prayer and there was a lot of complaining going on because the uh they were neglecting serving the poor and so what they did was they identified uh deacons those who are full of Faith full of Power full of the Holy Spirit you know full of Faith full of grace you know and Stephen was one of the deacons that they assigned but he was performing miracles signs and wonders as they were serving the poor in Acts 8: 4-8 there's uh the miracle was the paralyzed were being healed and demons were being casted out by Phillip you know we know Philip as the Evangelist but this is a time when great Revival was breaking out and and the Miracles began taking place you know in Acts 8: 26-39 you know the Holy Spirit led philli to the unic where he was able to share the gospel and where the unic got saved and so that is another miracle where the Holy Spirit brought just the miraculous uh time um you know just that convergence of time and relationship and all that together you know where he was just immediately to the you know brought to the unic in that sense in Acts 9 1-9 there's a conversion of Paul where he was on the road to persecute Christians and all a sudden you the the Lord shows up blinds him you know as he's on his way and he has this encounter that forever changed history really where he became from Saul to Paul and then acts 9 10 through 18 you know ananas um was was told to go see Saul of Tarsus heal him from blindness and fill him with the Holy Spirit and so ananas was uh and he went and he healed he told Saul you know why he was there the Lord sent him there to heal him and then he laid his hands on him and filled him with the Holy Spirit you know there's that Miracle there and continuing on acts 9: 32-2 anas paralyzed 8 years was healed by Peter you know and so the Apostle Peter he was walking around and all of a sudden there's this man paralyzed for 8 years completely healed in a moment you know by the power of the Holy Spirit you know we know in Acts 9: 40 to 42 Tabitha was raised from the dead by Peter and then acts 10 9-16 you know Peter has a vision you know and he has an encounter with the Lord you know really this whole difference between the Old Law and a new covenant and and what he's permitted to eat and you know this whole scene that takes place you know that causes Peter to break out of more of a religiosity you know understanding the word of God you know for his day and then there's acts 10 10 44-46 where the Holy Spirit falls on the Gentiles as Peter preaches and up to that point no one thought you know they thought the Holy Spirit was for the Jewish people only it was for those for God's chosen people and here's Peter preaching to the Gentiles and all of a sudden the Holy Spirit falls upon them and it creates Mass confusion but really shows us the power of the Gospel how inclusive it is that the gospel is for everybody you know in Acts 14 9-10 there was a man healed in lra who never walked since birth you know can you imagine that a man who is crippled at Birth all of a sudden begins walking because God heals him and then we have acts 16 6-10 where Paul wanted a district he was trying to go a certain place where you know there was there was this it says that the Holy Spirit blocked him you know how interesting is that language where Paul wanted to go reach a city a region a district when instead God's heart was to give him a continent and as God redirected him supernaturally there was the christianization of all of Europe that took place and then acts 16: 18 we see the casting out of devils and demons and people being set free and then we jump down to acts 16 to verse 26 the earthquake the prison doors open the chains broke off you know this is when Paul and Silas were in prison and and and God just shook the entire land and just opened up the prison doors and set the captives free and then acts 19:1 I love this one of my favorite verses that the there were extraordinary Miracles performed by the hands of Paul you know and this is where people came literally because the an anointing and the glory that rested on Paul that people literally came and tore off you know pieces of his clothing and there were handkerchiefs you know that people literally took to bring healing as they took it back to their uh sick loved ones extraordinary Miracles this is what the apostolic church is supposed to do it's who we are the apostles ex you know moved in extraordinary miracles in Acts 20: 7-12 udcus was raised from the dead talks about how Paul preached all night you know and how udcus was sitting at a window uh in open window and Paul preached so long udcus fell asleep and he and he fell out the window and he died but they raised him from the dead that's quite a story in Acts 28: 1-6 Paul was making a fire and a Viper came out and bit him yet he was not poisoned you know I love how Mark 16 it says that you know will trample on S drink deadly poison and it shall not harm you you know that the word of God is true and then in Acts 28: 7-9 puus healed from fever and dissenter you know and the gospel's urgency overrides a challenge of the moment you know and so when when we think of this that there's an urgency to the spreading of the Gospel there's an urgency you know that has to override the challenge of the moment which then really causes this whole mindset shift to take place you know and it's it's the urgency really uh you know it's it's brought by the power of God the gospel is brought with power not just with declaration but by demonstration and when demonstrations take place it literally shifts the mindset of people and you know often times when we go into different nations and we're reaching out to different people groups and within sectors of different religion for example um you know the Muslims and those who are Buddhists you know the number one way to reach them with the gospel is by performing a miracle you know when you perform a miracle before them it's as if the scales on their eyes fall off and all of a sudden they're able to see the truth it's because there's something about the miracle of God that shifts the mindset that opens us up you know in Romans 15:1 18-19 this is what it says for I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me resulting in The Obedience of the Gentiles by word and deed there it is again word and deed as declaration and demonstration in the power of signs and wonders in the power of the spirit so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as a lria I have fully preached the gospel of Christ see it's the preaching through the power of signs and wonders you know he talked about the preaching was with again word and deed one without the other is not the full preaching of the gospel of Christ it's a partial preaching it's the partial word you know in 1 Corinthians 2 verse 4-5 we know this it says you know I didn't come to you with persuasive words but by the demonstration of the power of the Holy SP Spirit you know and then 1 Corinthians 4:20 talks about how the kingdom of God does not consist of words but of power and then we find in 1 Corinthians 12:12 that signs of a true Apostle one of the Hallmarks is signs and wonders and miracles you know if based upon scripture if an apostle does not perform miracles signs and w ERS that person is not a true Apostle they may be gifted they may be Apostolic but they are not an apostle in the body of Christ you know I know a lot of people who gather people who are incredible communicators incredible teachers you know but yet they don't move in signs and wonders and people say that person is an apostle because they could gather well I want to rebuttle that I want to I want to uh you know refute that because I want to say based upon scripture on 1 Corinthians 12:12 unless they move in miracles signs and wonders they are not a true Apostle again those ones may be Apostolic but we need to come back to the word of God we need to go back to the foundation and to understand what true Apostolic culture is what a true Apostle is because in these end times as we're in the last days you know where I believe that we're we're going to we're preparing the way for Jesus to come back again to establish his kingdom on the earth you where we'll rule with him in the millennial you know in that sense there's going to be a lot of false Apostles and so we need to understand on us with with truth on what that is and so the Hallmark of apostolic culture and Apostolic people is miracles signs and wonders and the Hallmark of true apostleship is of signs and wonders performed and so ask God Holy Spirit to empower you for you to go after you know perform signs and wonders and miracles that we would preach the gospel in fullness not to elevate a Ministry not to elevate a name not to grow a church but to to display the living Jesus to a world that desperately needs him and so I just pray over you right now just receive this impartation just Holy Spirit I Pray by the power in the name of Jesus that you would release an impartation for miracles healings signs and wonders to be performed before a world that is so apathetic that their eyes and their minds would be shifted their eyes would be open their minds would be shifted that they will come to know the truth and so God I pray Lord that as this one is watching it's listening I pray for that fire of God to hit them right now the presence of God to surround them and set them fire right now because we know when a person is baptized with the fire of God that Miracles start taking place and so Lord baptize them with your holy fire in Jesus name amen
