hi there welcome back microsoft Surface Pro after five years i was surprised after five years this thing looks brand new not one scratch not one blemish the screen is so beautiful it's vivid it's colorful the view angles are great it's technically sells the whole laptop and sells the whole experience if I show you this machine there is not one scratch anywhere it looks brand new you cannot tell that this thing is five years old from outside unfortunately the user experience is very different this thing is sluggish unfortunately I had very very high hopes and I thought that this thing will be amazing and it is not so when I told the employee unfortunately I have to take this back to my office it was the end of the business day i could not do this whole process to download the image reinstalling everything doing all the updates so I said "I will bring it back the next day or uh in the next couple days." Uh she said "Take care of my baby i absolutely love this thing i had very high hopes that this must be still amazing." As a matter of fact I love the Microsoft Surface Pros i own several i passed down to my kids and they are beasts like the the thing what they putting those machines through is unbelievable and they hold up this is a generation 10 Intel i5 CPU we have four cores and eight threads with 8 gigs of DDR4M and 120 gig solid state nothing is replaceable in this machine you have to appreciate or use it as it is if you're thinking about buying one after 5 years I would say no don't get it uh as soon as we're going to start browsing this thing is sluggish even typing sometimes it takes us seconds to catch up with everything if you own one and you love it I understand because I I own multiple of these much older than this particular model and my kids using them almost every day and they have no problem uh if you try to buy one of these as used they somewhere between $200 to $350 and for $350 you can get a lowbudget laptop which will outperform this thing at any given time i I demonstrated multiple times that a cheap low-budget laptop for $350 can probably pull up 40 browser tabs and we can click anywhere and it there's no hesitation it will just go and this thing is unable to do it after about four tabs it gets sluggish circling the next tab just loads so why don't we try to do that and uh and I can show it to you so even if I use the built-in browser and just start clicking through things like opening YouTube it's it's taking its time and after about maybe four tabs it's really getting slowed down so on a $350 machine I can just do tick tick tick tick tick bringing up 40 tabs and it will not slow down and with this one after even first or second tab it is slow uh the best part of this thing is definitely the screen if you're somebody who's watching movies or showing some kind of videos or demonstrating things to clients just like my client who's an IAT they probably showing frames or contact lenses or different options this thing is phenomenal the screen the view angle it is really good this type cover is phenomenal too uh the touchpad the keys it's backlit keyboard you can just uh rip this out because it has a magnet on it it will find its place very easily it is very nice if watching movies YouTube Netflix it's an ultimate beast it has no active fan in it so it's not going to be any fan noise however this is also the drawback there is a version when you can get an i7 CPU with 16 gigs of RAM double the storage but that i7 is not really suitable for this thin little machine with a with a passive cooling it's going to be significantly throttled all the time uh if again you are looking at this buying as used on eBay or on other places from $200 to $350 you really need to think about it if you are getting one from work or from somebody sometimes corporations are just giving these out for free for employees i think I bought 11 Surface uh Pro for $7 each they were technically free they were put it in a in an in an e recycle bin i just picked them up and I was I was able to fix or or save a lot of them so they are really really good if you get one for free or technically for no cost i wouldn't buy them for $350 i would just save and buy something else or if you need to have something like a Surface just like this one you have to probably step up to 7 or $800 and get either a refurbished or a newish machine even with the ARM CPU these things are phenomenal so let me put this back and uh maybe maybe look we can look at one video on YouTube and see how everything looks like uh the screen and a sound it is really really nice [Music] [Music] that is impressive still [Music] not bad at all i I cannot believe these speakers are how good and the screen is again it's selling the whole experience regardless of the battery I cannot believe the battery only has like 200 cycles in it in five years that's like absolutely nothing it's still very close to the original Cap City however when I try to do a single YouTube video I think probably I can get out five five and a half hours which is probably still good enough uh for the eye care uh there's probably gap between the patients and this thing is on a charger all the time if you have any question as always please let me know comment section thank you so much for your time i'll see you in the next video scots out
