Comprehensive Sexuality Education in K-12

how do we integrate CSE into the K-12 basic education curriculum and the last question to be answered with this presentation is what is the direction of the CSE? Okay and then the first thing that we have to ask about ourselves for a moment to ponder what do I know about sexuality education. What do you know about sexuality education? Can you give me one word that speaks about sexuality education? Your thought about this thing. Okay. So, ngayon. Okay. So, sige po. Later on po. I will check your responses on our chat box or on YouTube. Our participants can comment for them to write down a thought about the sexuality education. Maybe we have thought of something and someone has written it. Thank you for working with me with this question. Okay. So let's have... Okay. When you say comprehend... In sexuality education, the CSE is a curriculum-based process of teaching and learning about the cognitive, the emotional, the physical, and the social aspects of sexuality. So, what do our students know? What do they feel? Especially our high school students, right? We know, right? So, last Sunday. I walked and saw someone who was probably in grade 7. But not in Galvez. They were so small but they had a partner, holding hands. And then later on, in public, they kissed each other. So what are we going to think? And what are we going to do as teachers? Knowing that this young age are having their perhaps mutual understanding with the opposite sex. Okay, so that has the impact. to their physical. There is really a physical impact about the sexuality of a person and then our social elements. So kung magiging open-minded sila with things which is not guided, so this is the purpose of the comprehensive sexuality education that we will be guiding them we will be guiding our learners to the right perspective about the sexuality okay characteristics of the cse okay scientifically this is scientifically accurate for there are studies there are datas there are researchers that prove that uh when we introduce the sexual the sexual education appropriately there will be a big impact and we are expecting a big change for the invading culture of our young learners nowadays. And then, okay, definitely we cannot deny the fact that this is an age and developmentally appropriate aspect. Because all of us, as they say, we have the universal experience of growing up and even in terms of the perspective towards the sexuality. So, kaya ngayon pa lang, at their very young age, so ang sabi po sa curriculum natin, from the kindergarten to the senior high school, we have to provide them guidance. And then, okay, that's the design, that's our department had designed a curriculum base, okay, that will be developed, that should be developed, which is included in our MELC and BAU, in our respective learning area. Then, comprehensive sexuality is... The sexual and the productive anatomy and physiology. The puberty administration. This is what we are discussing. Now, let's see how we can deliver it. accordingly and then the reproduction the pregnancy and child birth the stis including the hiv and the aids i love women so when there is a sexual transmission okay laluna samaya and the possibility of the health problem so yeah this is a timely program of our department a timely design for the curriculum implementation Another characteristic of the CSE is that this is based on human rights approach. Okay? The respect for mankind. I remember it well. Mahatma Gandhi said, the way we treat animals is the way we treat people. But hopefully, we human beings are a higher creation of God. So we have the power to control things. Then, based on gender equality. I heard it earlier while doing activities. Gender equality okay from our TWG. Then culturally relevant so we know the adjustments of our young age population to adapt the culture of the different countries and so hopefully they are well guided. Then transformative okay hopefully at this program at this implementation there will be a big change. in the lives and in the perspective of our young learners. And of course, to be able to develop life skills needed to support the healthy choices. Ability to reflect, okay, lalo na po sa mga senior high school natin and junior high school, make informed decision, communicate, negotiate effectively, and demonstrate assertiveness. Kaya yung mga outputs na kanilang ginagawa, okay, and their critical thinking skills, as they have to show up, what... as their stand to sexuality education. Okay, so that's the guidelines I gave you earlier. So, there was also a Debt and Order No. 031 when Series of 2018, which is the Policy Guideline and the Implementations of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education. And that's the urgency to implement the CSE. So, why? Why we have to implement this? because of the increasing early pregnancy, the violence among young people, the increasing incidence of HIV among young people. I experienced observing in an AIDS-AIDS facility in the Philippine General Hospital. I was shocked because the patients there were really young, teenagers. I went there because my health problem is related to blood. My blood has to be tested. I was in the middle of HIV patients and I was saddened because they don't deserve a health problem related to HIV. Okay, now the challenge to educators is to address the needs of the learners for health and protection through education. We teachers should also become doctors, health nurses, that's why we are the frontliners. of all the programs. I remember that they will train teachers to inject vaccines. The look of our community and government is really high. That's why I love Adept Ed. I love to be a teacher. And then provide comprehensive and appropriate information on sexuality and reproductive health. Then, provide learners with the life skills to help them develop self-confidence, self-esteem, and enable them to deal with the complex changes happening in them during the adolescence stage. That is Depp and Order No. 31, Series of 2018. I didn't mention it yet. Okay, I will mention it now. So, which is the scope of which is the policy shall apply all learners for public and private elementary, junior, and senior high school, and of learning centers for special education and alternative learning system, kaya po pati yung alas, in the laboratory school of state universities and colleges, and the local universities. Okay, so, and... even the indigenous learning system and the madrasa education program shall integrate so ibig po sabihin walang exempted to have the sexuality education standards the core topics the core values mamaya po sa breakout ito po may encounter yung ito the core life skills in mapping science education sa pagpapakatao ESP araling panlitipunan and personality development ay po, mayang ka mapagod okay, so the comprehensive sexuality education framework, so yun po yung involved natin, the learning areas kayo po yun, mga kasama po dito sa youtube and dito sa google meet for live streaming of this rollout kayo po ang napakahalagang teachers for the implementation of the sexuality education framework. Again, the BAPE, PE and Health, Araling Panlipunan, Dokasyon sa Pagtupakatao, Science, Personality Development, the Kinder Teachers and the SPED Teachers are involved in this. So we have the core content and standards. So seven concepts. We will be the focus of which are the human body in the human development so sabi nga po ni Ma'am Prima kanina bakit ba hindi natin matawag ang ng tamang salita dati sabi natin bird ano pa flower so but that is not a part of the body di po ba so we have to be we have to stand corrected and that the person who parang hindi rin mamangget no may pagka conservative po si Ma'am Pabico ng konti laking ano po kasi ako eh laking countryside okay the personal values the health relationships sexuality and sexual behaviors the sexual and reproductive health personal safety gender culture and human rights so these are the concepts of the content of the cse and then the values that we have to develop among our learners and we have to influence them as well as their self-knowledge the self-respect okay the self protection non-judgment, bawal judgmental po, the respect, concern for others, the empathy, positive attitude towards sexuality, responsibility, independence, and okay with the life skills naman po that they really have, that we really have to guide our learners are analysis of the external influences okay no matter how we take care of ours to the of our learners of our children there is an external influence but then they have to analyze okay then the accessing authority authoritative information the effective communication responsible decision making self-management whole setting advocacy for others and of course the changing life okay and then so Okay, I hope you're not sleeping yet. But if you have coffee, just take a sip and enjoy the jolly retreat of our PWG. They're going to retreat their own. The curriculum support system. Okay, we have the teachers, the material facilities and equipment, the ICT environment. Thank you very much, ICT coordinators, BSS men, the school leadership. Thank you, school heads, for leading our team. this okay and then of course we are instructed from our central office through the technical assistance and the region downward to the diversion and of course okay we have the partnership which has taken a while ago those are the agencies that can help us implement the csv and of course uh for that is the target Because as teachers, we are expected to act professionally with integrity, excellence in the name of service. So this is the conceptual framework of CSH. Minimum core content for sexuality education in K-12 basic education. Then, to provide learners from kindergarten to grade 12 with age and development appropriate opportunities. culturally relevant approach to teaching about sexuality and relationship by providing scientifically accurate, realistic, and non-judgmental information. Another goal for CSCS intended to prevent the unhealthy consequences such as teen pregnancy, sexuality transmitted infection, transmission of human immunodeficiency, or the virus. Okay. Talaga po ito yung mga minor, parang dahil nandiyan na naging exist na yung mga problema, okay, huwag naman po sana tayong maging ano yun, yung na... what is it called in the term? they are immune to these issues there is really a thing to address to and that education is an aid to help them next is the aim of the CSE enhance the overall wellness of the Filipino adolescents the physical, the mental, the emotional, the social and the spiritual so while they are growing with knowledge and experience exploring the wisdoms of the world, they should also be aware of their, we should also be aware how to take care of their, this aspect, the physical, the mental, the emotional, the social, the social and of course, the spiritual aspects of the Filipino adolescents. Then contribute to better learning outcomes, reduce dropout rate. We know that one of the reasons why they stop learning is to stop. schooling because of the cases of pregnancy cases or the abuse, the sexually abuse. We can't do anything about it. Sometimes, even if we extend our love to them as teachers, but then we know that if we become victims of early pregnancy, the mentioned physical, mental, emotional, and social aspect is also affected. Okay, kaya maganda po yung devotion natin, daily devotion because that reminds us na yung spirituality natin. Okay, and then increased completion rate and then improved the quality of learning. So, napakasarap pong maging mabuhay ng smooth ang buhay. Ano na walang agam-agam dahil ang problema ay ngayon pa lang nagkakaroon na ng realization through the education, proper orientation. ensure that adolescents have access to adequate and appropriate information in the healthcare education. Then address the reproductive health concerns of adolescents. I remember you said that it depends on the condom giver for the students. Because sometimes the media will expose an issue just to win the audience. But all the practices are had undergo will undergo the proper process before it becomes an issue and then of course so we know the risky behaviors that may cause damaging and long-term consequences and of course promote the healthy and responsible sexual and social behavior about students so responsible both sexuality and social behaviors okay Oh, eto pa po yung aim ng CSE, develop mature and responsible children and young adolescents and view the desirable health values which can assist them in making rational decisions that can lead to satisfying, productive, and quality life. Okay, bata pa yung sa aming test sa kabinti po yung itinutuya. na yung itinitis na with the uh an age okay so is it does it give the proper impact to the learners so your education and then will guide them to okay provide teachers with the resource material for developing life skills such as decision making and problem solving relative to the adolescence reproductive health so kaya pumamayan sa breakout you can put in the guidelines uh provide any layout sa atin ng DepEd, yung performance standard, the layout na po through the MELT, and then yung sample lesson exemplar po na ginagawa ng ating mga teachers. And then, okay, enable teachers to integrate the key concepts and messages and reproductive health concerns across the curriculum wherever this can be done most appropriately. So, yan po yung target ng PSD. Administrators and educators to be reflective. flexible, creative, innovative and their facilitations of the teaching and learning process further disinstitutionalize the CSA. So it is now an institution in the Department of Education. When you say institution, there is a proper planning, there is a design, there is the design classroom and school activities. Ano po ang responsibility ng DepEd through the appropriate and relevant units? So, sa Central Office, eto na po, formulations of the policy, develop a set of CSE competencies, ensure the minimum standard of CSE, okay, design and conduct national CSE, lead the development of learning resources. With the partnership of the DOH, the PAPCOM, the DSWD, the UNEDA, the NYC, the Philippine Women's Commission, the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the United Nations Population Fund. Next, the citizen responsibilities of the Bureau of Learner Support Services coordinate with the BCD and the development of CSC. provide technical assistance or sooner there will be field visits and technical assistance that will provide to us in terms of the CSE implementation and then activate and mobilize youth organization in all public and private schools including laboratory schools okay so kaya talaga pong anywhere so region naman po the curriculum and learning management division or the CLMD will adopt institutionalized contextualize the national policy and framework of the CSA and of course facilitate the integration and I hope that the contextualized learning resources will we will have it for the second quarter. and then conduct the regional training on CSA related programs and projects. So, may be later there will be contests, competitions, and researches for the teachers. Okay, so in the division, insured implementation. And there are, as Ma'am said, we have five education program supervisors in charge of the CSA implementation. So, in our science, Ma'am Redelia Vista, in the study of education, Ma'am Lucy Pagalanan, in the values education, Ma'am Anna Reblora, in MAPE, Ma'am Judith Clement, curriculum integration, across. So, integration, as Ma'am said, there is no separate subject for CSE. But, from time to time, there should be an integration. So, it will be a part of our lesson planning. Okay, so science, AP, and other learning areas are CSE. So, one time, Eva, when we observe, we will look for CSE lessons. What is it, Ma'am Narmie from MAPE? Include CSE programs and projects. And that's it. Our SIP, most of the SIPs are put by school heads after 2021. So, baka po sa susunod nating SIP, maging bahagi na po para mayroong allotment of resources. And then, programs and activities designed with our school improvement plan. Okay? Then, initiate and conduct PSE-related classroom action researches, field studies, and other data collection procedures articulated in the SIP through the school publication and newsletter. Okay, I remember one student who issued a publication. The issue was, the student said, the title is, Is it your fault? Okay, but that is a subject for a careful issue of the publication. Then utilize the contextualized CSE learning resources. Include CSE in the conduct of the school learning action set or the SLAC session. So, kaya po yung, so sa LAC po natin, doon po tayo nakaka-formulate ng mga plano how to solve the problem. So, ano po ang role ninyo natin as teachers implementers, the main implementers of the CSE? Okay, so we can have the health providers to sustain the additional information. And then the role of the parents, virgins, and families. So, sana po with us, through our initiative, through our assistance, the increase of parents to child communications about sexuality, motion of safety and well-being of children and curriculum why we have to integrate Okay, we all know that the Integrative Teaching mirrors the real world and the real world is not divided into disciplines. Okay, so we are one and all of us are one, should be one. Integrative Teaching provides connection among subjects, areas so that students can better understand that their learning has application through real life, that learning is not just isolated bits of facts. in a vacuum so I hope that the true learning is true to be done the true self-care is done by our students and the true knowledge is done by them in real life so as with the guidance of the teachers and then the integrative teaching can help teachers surmount oh my, this is it we are really the guide to solve the problems Okay, ng ating bansa. Okay, and so as, okay, itong CSE po na-design so that the problem of the overcrowd curriculum can be addressed in a well-designed program. Okay, so the core life skills po, okay, so ang ating po may-integrate sa ating, may-share sa ating mga bata is the self-awareness, the impotence, the effective communication, the interpersonal relations skills, the decision-making, the problem-solving, the creative thinking, the critical thinking, coping up with emotions, coping up with stress, and then the entrepreneurial skills. Ito po yung naansahan natin na may isishare natin with our learners. Okay, so life and school scope and sequence chart. So skills... So, for the age 1, as a year 1, which is for the age 5 to 6, abuse and safety, okay, for the skills, self-awareness and empathy, who am I, so, ano ba ako, okay. So, then the empathy, how to show I care, communication interpersonal skills, I say hello. yes or no so I'm not sure what to call those who are reading the e-book on Facebook. But we see on Facebook, right? When they scan, there are issues there. So how can they guide if we're not there? Then creative, critical thinking, things that makes me feel good. Is that good for me? What will they do? Then coping up with emotions. So hopefully, they will recognize. proper emotions and uh i lost my mom in the market so you're stressed is nila in population, pagkakaroon ng pagbubuntis. So, it was called sex education during the time of President Marcos. It was also called teen wellness. And now, we call it comprehensive sexuality education to encompass sexuality and other pertinent topics that must be included on the well-being of our adolescents. So, it's not just sex education per se, but it is about sexuality and the... holistic development of our learners. And this is also through our comprehensive sexuality education that was built through our 24 experts. through PCPD-UNFPA in 2014. And since then, they have had a strategy to complete the needs so that we can teach the skills that should be learned and developed by our teachers and also by the students who should learn. mula dito sa ating CSP. And the comprehensive sexuality education standards were actually proposed by the Likhaan through the Philippine Center for Population and Development or PCPD and then the UNFPA of course. And there are also the people behind the creation of our CSE standards. Ma'am Rosalie Masila is with us, the supervisor from the central office. We have also Sir Jerry Klausus. We have Dr. Anne Kizon, Dr. Ellen Dalipongit, Dr. Melinda Rivera, Usec Diana Ocampo, and Usec Alberto Villon. They are the ones who became part of the creation. ng ating CSE standards na ngayon nga ay nakikita natin na umaabot na sa mga paaralan and hopefully ay aabot na sa ating mga classroom instruction. So ang tanong sa atin is, when is the right time? Naro Cruz, isang mano nila at Palanca, awardee. You know? How she takes care of her eyes, her lips, her nose, her attention should also be on her reproductive organs, what we call the tits or the nipples. That's how the nipples are for women. So let's repeat that word while you're listening to me. Let's repeat the words tits, nipples, nipples. There's no bust here. And we will repeat that this is the message of the CSD. We have to desensitize ourselves to these talks. Because in a time when there is abuse, they are abused because they are not able to obey the lawful callings in this part of their body. The baby was kidnapped, but they were not able to say that their baby was kidnapped. Why? Because... What is the teaching in the house? It should not be called or denied because it is bad. The time is over that we look at it as bad. It is time that we change it. And to save the children who are victims of violence and abuse through the practice of calling it part of their lives. So what is entry point approach? And entry point approach is an approach to learning, a structure for designing curricula rather than a particular curricular vehicle. So meaning to say, we have naturally integrated or blended a particular competency, a particular discipline within a particular topic. where it is appropriate. So that is our point in the entry point. What are the guiding principles for developing the standard? So we have to respond to the current Philippine situation where we see that there are a lot of cases on adolescent pregnancy, unplanned pregnancy, violence, etc. So we are facing a lot of things, including drug abuse and substance abuse. Sometimes this becomes a vehicle for the victim to be a victim of violence. sexual man or physical ang isang tao. Based on research and authoritative evidence, the UNESCO, the FOSE, or the Future of Sex Education, and the World Health Organization in Europe, ano po ang sabi nila? Standards provide clear, consistent, and straightforward guidance on the essential minimum core content for sexuality education that is developmentally and age-appropriate for students in grades. K, so from kindergarten to grade 12. So straightforward, consistent, clear. So there are competencies that are repetitive in nature. Why? It is developmental in age of... So, from our training in kindergarten to grade 12, we will build the principles that we want to achieve in comprehensive sexuality education. Now, the minimum standards, of course, this is actually the floor of learning objectives. Ibig sabihin, ito ay mga kasanayan na dapat and we can use it through teaching our students. Basically, the objectives, the content, and methodologies must be designed to affect the basic knowledge, attitude, and behavior desired while respecting cultural sensitivities in the situation of teachers. We have brothers and sisters who are in the faith of Islam, we should respect this. The LGBT community, the women empowerment that's included also. We are looking forward with gender equality. So we should see all cultures, all types, the so-called diverse culture, and the individual differences must be recognized. For teachers, it is meant to provide clear, consistent, and straightforward guidance on the essential minimum core content for sexuality education that is appropriate for the age and development level of students in grades K-12. So meaning to say, this will guide us on which particular topic must we integrate on our subject, okay, or the key stages that we need to focus on. And the proposed functions, provide accurate information about topics that steer the curiosity of children and young people. Okay? And provide children and young people with opportunities to explore values, attitudes, norms concerning sexual and social relationships. They ask about masturbation, erection, and sometimes they ask about orgasm. So, there are many. including the G-SPAC, they know that we are being forced to do so. And as teachers, it is our responsibility to answer this in an intelligent way. And we should not look at this as a punishment. Because this is a change that is happening to the students, we should help them understand this and look at it as a... Bagay na bastos at isampak sa huli dapat pag-usapan. Education in the K-12 curriculum. So the CSE curriculum standards, this was already mentioned by Ma'am Pabico earlier, that it should adapt a grade-level age and development-appropriate teaching and evaluation approach, which corresponds to the current grade levels in the K-12 enhanced basic education. So yan yung sinasabi natin, ano, age and development-appropriate. When should we start teaching about sexuality? Actually, from the CSE standard, we are teaching it since kindergarten. We will start by introducing the body parts, how to take care of yourself, because this is a part of sexuality education. And not only the reproductive health organ that we are teaching here. There are other topics. that we can discuss and later I will explain to you as we go on the presentation. There are other more extensive lectures about knowledge, skills, and attitudes that teachers should focus on. Now in line with the K-12 key stage standards, CSE contents and learning competencies are developed where the learning outcomes are expected to proceed anticipated via psychosocial milestones by about two years. So, it means that we are starting it now and eventually it will have an effect on our students. This is what we call comprehensive sexuality education. We anticipate that they will recognize differences, they will also celebrate uniqueness because each student is unique. And they should also see that in themselves through comprehensive sexuality. education. Ito na po yung tinutukoy ko kanina. What are the core topics and subtopics? We have the human body and human development. The human body is not only about the human parts or the human body parts, but it is also about the sexual and reproductive body, the human development and reproduction. So yung pangkalahatang pag-ulag ng isang mag-aaral. The person would... it includes the values and norms and the point that the norms the peer influence how to influence our children it is also good to look at this because in the time of adolescents peer pressure is getting stronger so this should also be addressed in the relationship healthy relationships na yan. It could be personal relationship, it could be family relationship, could be about friendship, could be about romantic relationships. Kasi nga, that's a romantic relationship. Gusto natin, refocus natin ang kabataan na okay yung relationship, a romantic relationship is okay for as long as you know your limitations and your responsibilities. Ito yung key message ng CSEs natin when it comes to healthy relationships. What about sexuality and sexual behavior? It includes the life cycle, the sex and sexual behavior. Okay? Sometimes we will focus on whether masturbation is normal. Sometimes the child feels that he has an urge. What will he do? Wet dreams or nocturnal emissions. Sometimes the child is scared. Menstruation, that's also part of sexuality and sexual behavior. What is the response of a woman to the rule? Some are scared of crying. So we have to help our students. Sexual and reproductive health. Nakakalungkot na sa murang edad ay magkakaroon sila sapagkat alam natin na may malaking efekto ito psychologically pero narinito ang CSE para tulungan. ang ating mga mag-aaral, ating mga duro on how to particularly educate and to address the concerns of our students when it comes to STIs and HIV. Now, personal safety, ito na yung ipagtukoy natin. Privacy and bodily integrity, paano natin iniingatan ng ating pangangatawan. Gender-based violence and bullying, issue rin ito. May mga kabataan na grade 4 pa lang ay talaga namang very prominent time in the langsues or a little too silly so can you not classic so he said it or not but I need a meeting I know some people in bullying or violence I'm gonna behind okay on Banga bad in a particular gender culture and human rights of course we are looking forward with gender equality media and sexuality and human rights no no dapat sana ilalani So, these are the CSE core topics and subtopics. We have the human body, human development, personhood, healthy relationships, sexuality and sexual behaviors, sexual and reproductive health. personal safety, gender, culture, and human rights. 777, if that's how you say it. And what we're going to do is for them to learn self-respect, self-protection, respect for others, non-judgment, concern for others, responsibility, positive attitude towards sexuality. See? So it's not just about sexuality. not only about the parts of comprehensive sexuality education but it is also for the half-life, for the human being, that's why there is self-respect, self-protection, responsibility, we are all taught that. And analysis of external influences is also done. Teachers and students should also see that even though we are taught this, what is happening? sa environment. If they want to say no with their partner, they should leave no. Responsible decision-making, yan. CSE is about decision-making. It's about life skills. Napak! Self-management, how they will bring themselves, goal setting, what is their dream, what they want to meet, and advocacy. So it's not enough that they know this, but the biggest part of CSD is to be an advocate. Not only the teachers are the CSD advocate, but even the students would also advocate against abuses, against HIV-AIDS. to fight this, and STIs are also included. So this is what we aim for, that they themselves become an influence to empower other children and to know what we call comprehensive sexuality education. So I repeat, comprehensive sexuality education is not only about body parts, and the reproductive organs are also a part of the body. but it is a holistic development of students that focus on respect, affection, that recognizes others, that is responsible, and it has a positive attitude towards sexuality. that is what we want to convey now we can see that it is spread across grade levels at different disciplines totaling 189 competencies in grade 3, my body myself, so the knowledge is focused about body gender values Family, friends, peers, intimacy, reproduction, body rights, discrimination, bullying. And the attitude, of course, is positive attitude. Expressing emotion including love and kindness. Dapat ay maipahayag niya. Paano ba ipinapahayag din ito? Dapat matutunan niya rin yan. Respectful and loving, positive attitude, sensitivity and respect. In grades 4 to 6, changes in puberty are already happening. Our SOGI, sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression are already starting. We have the family, friends, peers, sexual relations. The team pregnancy, pregnancy prevention, STI, HIV, discrimination are already being discussed. And this scales from the age of 16 to the age of 18. we need to have positive attitude respect for body differences love of self acceptance of others able to assess good and bad effects of one of on self of relationships What are the positive and negative effects of having a relationship? In young people, we see that when they start to crush, they fall in love, they get involved, and start a relationship, they are very inspired. But eventually, when they are in a relationship, the emotions also come out, the motivation of the young people disappears. We hope to address this. with comprehensive sexuality education. And that is normal for him to feel. Even though it is normal for him to feel, we teachers are here to encourage him. Communicating needs and boundaries, assertiveness, building, access to information, abstinence and condom. So this is where we start to introduce our contraceptives, abstinence and condom. Let me reiterate that the Department of Education would really want us to teach abstinence among our learners. Pero kung hindi talaga mapigilan, then we have to teach them the concept of contraceptives. Okay? Kung ako po ang tatanungin, bilang guro, of course, I prefer abstinence to teach my students. Anggat maaari. Kasi nga, there is always right time for everything and there is a right person. Yan po yung ituro natin sa kanila. Access to adults and health. What is implementation fidelity? We are the implementation fidelity, our loyalty towards the implementation. We are really committed to implementing this. It is saddening that we have a fellow teacher here who is listening to our CSE but he is not 100% committed to advocating. It is saddening. So, the call of the Department of Education, particularly the Central Office, that we will have the implementation fidelity, that we will really do our part. para matulungan ang ating mga kabataan maunawaan ang comprehensive sexuality education. At paano po ba ito sinimplify? So we cluster the core topics. We identify the values, emotion, and life skills appropriate for the core topics. We have the most critical life skills relevant to learners. So yan po, ang sabi ko nga, this is life skills. CSE is life skills. It is about life skills. Mahalaga po ito. Identify evaluation methods. and develop core message for uh per standards let's start with kindergarten so kindergarten ito identify personal values and show positive values competency, yung CSE. So, syempre, magpapahalaga sa sarili, that's personal values. Mahalagang ma-identify nila iyon, at mahalaga rin magpakita silang positive values. At dito, ang K-12 competency ay ilarawan yung physical na kasamian, dad. and to be able to express your own personality in different ways. So, the CSE will describe their body parts using proper names, show positive attitudes, explain body differences and growth, show respect for differences and growth. You see, right? So, it's naturally blended. Our Paksa in 8 to 12 is a very clean one that we used and we will see a lot of improvement. go on cse standard for grade three the palagal about the bank demonstrate ways of relating with family friends with dignity and respect describe peers healthy relationships so show acceptance of peers from different backgrounds and we recognize the differences. For grade 6, we are looking at contemporary issues in our society. And if we look at the CSE, gender equality is actually a contemporary issue. It also includes mass media, personal values, and attitudes. So, our issues in the CSE are included. or to the K-12. So, we won't have a hard time integrating because our CSE standards are naturally blending.
