hey guys it's brother and today I'm making a video on nefarian ad tanking specifically in regards to phase one and three of the fight for the feral Druid also be going over the other tanks and their strengths and weaknesses on taking the ads so what are the ads the ads are the animated bone Warriors they Spawn from the hell bones in Phase One and these will spawn all around the room and they'll come out in like sets of two to three the ads have a stacking buff called empowering strikes and the longer they live the more powerful they get and the faster they move so kiing them is kind of out of the question they are cable you can't really Frost trap them and like rocket boot around the room you have to face tank them for a certain period of time it's a good idea to save your CDs for when these empowering strikes are very high they also have an energy bar that's basically their health bar you don't really DPS these ads if DPS and your raid are padding on these there's really no reason they don't count on Warcraft logs and hitting them kind of harm your progression because you're not putting damage into the boss where it's important their energy bar can reset whenever they interact with the shadow flame in the encounter via the breath in Phase 1 and three from either of the Dragons or from the shadow flame Blaze they don't have an icon for it on this website we'll just use this but we're pretending this is the blaze for this video's purpose anytime the ads interact with the fire if they are on the ground they get resurrected if they are alive their energy bar resets our job as ad tanks is to make sure that these ads really don't interact with fire and that they aren't in the raid beating people's heads in their empowering strikes reset when they die we want to make sure that they die their eny bar will tick down around 50 seconds is maybe a minute that's when they'll hit zero and then they'll fall over to the ground but our job as an ad tank is to make sure we have coold Downs for when empowering strikes is high we pick them up easy in phase one drop them off in a spot that is not the middle and we make sure they don't interact with fire fire also follows these ads around the room if you have fire in the raid that means you have poor ad management so a good way to make sure that fire is never in the raid you want to make sure that when phase one ends you're dropping ads off in like on the great on the outside of the room very far away from the raid but those are the ads that's how they work see seeable you don't really kite them they get stronger as they live longer they Spawn from things in pH one and fire always follows them next we're going to be talking about each tank and how they interact with the ads it is preferable to have a prop Paladin or a prop Warrior on the ads it's just better cuz they only do physical damage to you it's really nice being able to block and have tons of Dr for physical attacks from the ads on the two Shield tanks if you don't have a shield tank in your raid then the feral Druid is fine and the DK works too feral Druid is a little bit better than the DK K the stuns will buy you time and basically act as a defensive because when they're stun they can't hit you if you don't have a shield tank then I'll show you how to get that done the comp we normally use is double blood DK and faid sometimes we use a warrior in my guild but that's how we do the fight for phase one I'm going to go over positioning I'll go ahead and clear the board for us okay so phase one starts you're going to want to stampeding Roar in off the platform so everyone can get in their positions quick the DK Tank on anxia we'll go ahead and taunt the boss bring it over here and then drag it and flip it and face it in a way which the tail is not facing the raid and the breath is not facing the middle of the room so this tank will be here shortly after bones will come out all around the room multiple ads will spawn from each of those halil of Bones I'm on my feral Druid I like to use my berserk three Target mangle to run around to each of these nodes and just press mangle on the ads and that normally gives me enough threat to group them up quickly once they're grouped up you can swipe and thrash and all your heart out make sure you're pressing de morar if you have infected wounds make sure you're tabbing and mauling and mingling each of them to get your physical attack speed debuff up so phase one happens we're just running around the room picking these up pick them up at this point nefarian will come down he comes down the other DK picks him up and he also puts this dragon in a position to where the tail is not facing the raid right both tails are facing over here in this corner of the room nobody's going to be standing in and the breath will not be on the ads at all so at this point the feral Druid has all the threat on the ads and we drag it to a position where it won't get breath on and you won't get tail swiped as the ad tank I prefer to put them over here basically any spot in this nice big open area works this is just where we put them there's probably a better spot but this is what I do and you want to make sure they're nice and clumped up because as their energy bar Runs Out they'll fall over in phase three when the first Shadow flame spark comes out it's better to just like resurrect them all at once than have six up and then like another four come up later and then there's fire drifting to one like out here in the middle and then your Raiders get hit by the flame and then crackle goes on at the same time it's it's really bad you don't want that to happen so you want them nice and clumped up before phase one is over remember their empowering strikes are are gathering large Stacks at this point want to be rolling CDs you can call for externals like to take a PS and then I save my survival instincts for when they're about to die and then I pop my frenzy regen at that point again making sure demo Roar and infected wounds are up via tabbing on each one of them pressing M angle it's phase one you want to make sure that ads don't get breath on you're not getting tail swiped and they're in a nice position to where you and the other tank can pick them up with ease in phase three all right so you've done phase two nobody's missed a kick and nobody has sent anyone on the platform flying in phase two uh with the cinder Sparks the nefarian tank will pick nefarian back up you and the anex tank will walk over here I have the DK here but any tank will do we're getting threat on these will just like Target random people in the raid once phase three activates can save like your gloves you're enrage for that to do extra damage you can even sapper here to like get like Giga threat immediately but you just want to pump a bunch of threat into these so that they don't go into the raid by the time the first like spark comes out you'll have them nice and away and on the great all stacked up and the name of the game in phase three is you're basically just looking at your fogi dbm bigwigs and you're looking at the shadowflame spark timer and you're moving based on that timer and you're coordinating with your nefarian tank when you're moving so that nefarian's breath is never on you you'll notice I have the ads over here and the Fan's facing this way you're not going to get tail swept and you're not going to get breathed on so we've got the ads they're beating on us we've got our debuffs up on them so we're taking less damage first fire has come out fire will always go towards the ads so in between Shadow uh flame spark timers you can like baby step them but you really don't need to move them that much if you're if you move them too much you're going to run out of room pretty quickly I'm just using this as the icon like I've said before it's good to move them on the timer you do a big a big move and then what that does the fire will slowly creep up and up and up and up to these ads and then you do a little baby move but you really only do big exaggerated moves on like the new timer when it goes out and you want to have them in motion before it's in the air because it'll pick a random one and if you move it as it's casting it might you know tick back one and then its energy resets and then you might have trouble getting them to die right again their energy is their health bar it gets reset by the fire you're just moving around the great in phase three right it's a little bit harder without a shield tank because you don't have stuns so a way to get around that is to have your H pal that is assigned to Healing you and the off tank use their holy wrath whenever you need it you want to be using this between the shadowflame Sparks when their empowering strikes is high right because they're going to be doing Giga Dam to you again this buff makes them do 20% more damage and it Stacks infinitely so if you never get a reset on an ad he's just going to be doing insane damage to you and moving super fast so you can't kite him when their empowering strikes are high in the stage we're using our defensives you can get externals here we want to be stunning them ideally we're using our defensives in phase three along with the crackles that is what's going to kill you on this fight I've died a lot of times not having a cool down or having distance between the ads while they're stunned when a crackle goes out so that their melees aren't sinking up with the crackle damage that'll end your life really really quick especially if you're undergeared and that's basically the fight man you're just you're moving around the room it's good if your H pal is ahead of you holy pal sway from progress and his vods he's with these guys and he holy WS them as they need and having an H pal follow you this way is also good because frequently throughout the fight you'll be lining your healer sometimes the spark lines up you having to drag these mobs like through the pillar and obviously you know if you're priest like your AR Shaman can't see you they can't heal you right you're line of sight and the spark goes out it lands here and like the fire is growing you're right here they can't see you having HP here really Smooths out your health bars so I mean that's the fight man you're just you're moving these around if you have a prop Paladin with you tanking or a prop Warrior obviously you can coordinate with him when you want the shock waves obviously with the prop Paladin you can have their holy wrath as well near the end of the fight if you were unlucky with the shadow flame Sparks resetting their energy then what you can do is you can have a DPS Warrior run out from the raid and you can hand a protection them and he can AE taunt and basically kite these with you obviously he's immune to physical damage and the ads are on him so that's a good CD to use the boss doesn't die by then you'll probably die because their Stacks get really really high as the fight goes on these Sparks come out quicker and quicker start running out of room if you have bad DPS and you will get overwhelmed at some point in the fight more geared you are you'll probably not run into that issue if uh you've exhausted all of your AOE shouts at that point then you can army ads will be fixated on the Army if you run out of armies and the ads didn't reset and you run out of hand protection challenging shouts then you probably need to get better DPS that's the name of the game for ad tanking you are essentially moving on the shadowflame spark cast you want to make sure that your H palal or whoever is assigned to you is following you if you don't have a shield tank with you then you want to make sure that the Holy Paladin is Holy WRA when you need it you want to be coold Downing on crackles or I'm making sure that the ads are stunned and away from you so their melees aren't sinking with their crackle cast and that's all I can
