How to deactivate or delete your Telegram account? Telegram doesn't offer a temporary deactivation option. Instead, you can delete your account, which is permanent, once you are on the Telegram app.
At the bottom right corner of the screen, tap the Settings icon. Next, go to Privacy and Security. Scroll down until you find the Automatically delete my account section.
Here, you will see the option, If away for. Tap on it. Here you can select the time of the deletion from one month to one year. Within this time period, you won't come to log in then. Your account will be deleted.
To delete immediately, select Delete Account Now. Scroll down, tap on the Delete Account. Then choose Continue. Again, click on Continue.
Enter your phone number in the provided field and tap Continue. Then tap Delete My Account one last time to permanently delete your Telegram account. This action will remove your account across all linked devices. And that's it.
