[Music] oh praise the Lord everybody Hallelujah come on like we really believe it hallelujah praise God what an awesome God we serve oh we thank the Lord this evening for another opportunity to be in his house and always grateful to see you praise God and so tonight we are looking forward to hearing what the Lord has for us um on this evening and I thank you again just for pressing your way it's always uh interesting how the enemy Works um on that day we supposed to be in the house whether it be Sunday whether it be Wednesday and there will always be a reason why I can't but we need to make sure that because of what I need from him it will always Trump my um desire or situation going on I would rather come to the house and deal with it later perhaps while I'm here the Lord will give me what I need for where I got to go amen let's go ahead and get ready to get into the word thank you again for being with us tonight go ahead and ask change uh if you guys would uh step on out quietly praise the Lord and we thank God for our young people thank God for um young Joshua and the Simons the phase two I guess they are and others that help out with that area of ministry because it is such an important such an important area for us that that generation that kind of gets lost in the crowd and the world has both arms wide open waiting to receive them and so we want to make sure that we let the enemy know not this one amen not mine I don't know about you but not mine praise God not mine praise the lord well let's go ahead tonight and go to go with me to John chapter 6 John chapter 6 um and we are going to be reading out of the King James version of course John chapter 6 verse number 31 is where we want to start John chapter 6 verse 31 praise God and when you're there shout hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah praise God John 631 this is what the word of the Lord declares in the King James Bible it says our fathers did eat Mana in the desert as it is written he gave them bread from Heaven to eat then Jesus said unto them verily verily I say unto you Moses gave you not that bread from heaven but my father give it with you the true bread from heaven for the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven and giveth life unto the world you may have your seats in the presence of our lifechanging King father we thank you tonight for your word and we pray that it will go forth with power with Clarity and understanding we thank you in advance for those father that are watching and those that are here here in the house of the Lord tonight asking that all that would be in tuned to what the spirit of the Lord is saying that what we hear tonight will not fall on De fear that it would not fall by the wayside nor among stones or Thorns but God that it will take deep root in our hearts and bring glory to you and to you alone and for that we do bless you and we thank you in jesus' name amen amen amen praise the Lord praise the Lord so tonight uh um you know we started last week with this series that we want to deal with the I AMS of Jesus the seven I AMS found in the Book of John the Bible says in in uh John chapter 8 the the the Pharisees were having conversation with Jesus and and they said unto him you know uh well Abraham's Our Father and Jesus said before Abraham was I am before Abraham was I am and so we G to look at these I AMS because we told you last week there's seven that John uh brought out for us in this in the text here in and not in the text but in the book of St John there are seven different times when he makes reference to Jesus saying I am such and such and tonight we'll start with the first one um and that's our goal is to just kind kind of go in order as we find them the first one mentioned is found here in John chapter 6 and in John chapter 6 again our text says um looking at verse 31 it says our fathers did eat mana and the reason there're having this conversation in the first place is because if you start back in the beginning of John chapter 6 is where Jesus had just fed the 5,000 Jesus just fed the multitude and so then they started following around everywhere he went they went and uh he told him he said you not even following me for the uh uh for the Miracles you're following me for the fish and the loaves the only reason you you come after me is because um you want me to feed you and he said so let me help you there is a different bread I'm the there's a bread that that if you get a hold of this you won't have this situation this hunger anymore so of course they were like well you know what kind of bread is that then they trying to be deep with the Savior and they said you know well hey our father uh Moses rather fed us bread from heaven and in essence what they're saying can you talk that and so Jesus says in verse 32 notice here uh because in verse 32 his answer or his response to them was this he says verily I say unto you Moses gave you not that bread from Heaven notice what he says now he says he didn't give you that bread from heaven but my father giveth you the true bread from heaven for the bread of God is which is rather the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven and giveth life unto the world now he's letting them know before we even go any further uh before you get too excited about the Mana there is a difference between he and the Mana let's read on verse 34 it says they said unto him Lord uh well Evermore give us this bread if there is a bread that we can eat on he said they said give it give us that bread in verse 35 Jesus answers them and said unto them I am the bread of life this is the first of those seven that we'll look at we won't look at obviously we won't look at all of them tonight we probably won't even finish with this this one tonight but this is the first one he says I am the bread of life now there's some some differences right out the gate because they are thinking about mana mana literally means what is it because we don't know what it is it just appeared it appeared and and and we were instructed to eat it what is it but the difference between mana and Jesus number one is Mana came by night remember they would go and every morning wake up the the ground would be covered with this this substance that they weren't sure but Jesus didn't come by night but he came to man when man was in darkness do you understand Mana was given to God's people to meet their physical need Jesus was given to the world to meet our spiritual needs so when we make the comparison Mana is a type of but Mana does not compare fully to who Jesus Is Right Mana was a gift from God Mana was a gift from God but watch this Jesus is God's gift to the world because God gave his children mana and the only ones that ate the Mana in the wilderness were the were those who had been delivered out of Egypt the only people that ever have ever experienced that Mana were the children of Israel and the mixed multitude no one else has ever had it but Jesus the gift of God the Bible says God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son the gift of God was not given to the Jews only it was given to the whole world and the reason this is so important is because even if Mana was exclusive uh for the Israelites then the word of God or or the Son of God is available to all who would believe y'all still with me and then the last thing is that Mana had to be picked up and eaten remember it fell on the ground and he would tell them in the morning you go out and you collect what you need but the difference between mana and Jesus Mana had to be picked up and eaten but here's the thing with Jesus Jesus has to be received he has to be received you can't just go pick him up wouldn't it be cool if you just purchase your salvation and then you just save a little bit and the rich would be saved the poor would be lost and and we that there have it but that's not the way this works amen so when we look at this tonight I want us to dive in because they say in verse 34 they said to Jesus give us that bread if you're telling me there's a bread that exists that we can eat and not be hungry again he says I mean the scripture says then said they unto him Lord Evermore give us this bread well give it to give us a a a continuous flow of this bread and this is what Jesus says in verse vers 35 that throws the wrench in the whole thing he says I am the bread of life he that cometh to me shall never hunger and he that believeth on me shall never thirst believeth on me he that cometh to me shall never hunger and he that believeth on me shall never thirst so the first thing we want to look at tonight um as far as our points concerned number one is how do we get that bread I mean h how how is it obtained because what did they have to do for the Mana but how did they get it though they didn't do anything just got up in the morning went out and picked it up they didn't have anything to do with it it was there so how do we get this bread it's the first question we got to ask because you must think about it from this standpoint I'm having a conversation with a person that's telling me they have something that if I get a hold of it I'll never hunger again so the question they have which what we should have is how do I get it how do I get this bread well let's look at it John chapter 6 we're still in the text y'all all right look at verse 41 John chapter 6 verse 41 notice what the word says the Jews then murmured at him because he said I am the bread which came down from heaven now they want to know how to get it but they're complaining because because they don't like what he said in reference to himself you understand look at verse 42 it says and they said is it not this is not this Jesus the son of Joseph whose father and mother we know who I mean how is it then that he said I came down from heaven so now their complaint about the bread is they don't even understand what they're asking for but the fact that it came out of Jesus's mouth has them saying wait a second we know him we know his people we went to school with his brother and so how dare he say he came from heaven so they're having this conversation and I love the word because Jesus says in verse 43 it says Jesus therefore answered and said unto them murmur not among yourselves don't don't don't be don't be trying to figure this out I'm telling you asked me and I'm telling you how do you get it first thing we have to do the Jews Pro problem was they saw the Jesus they grew up with and because of their their acquaintance because of their recognition because of their awareness of who he was physically most of them never accepted him spiritually when we know somebody that's why the Bible says no no man after the flesh because we can mess around and Miss God speaking to us because of the vessel he used to give us the word all because of our familiarity with that particular particular person are y'all here and so they are murmuring but notice what verse 44 says no man can come to me the question is how do we get it he says no man can come to me except the Father which hath sent me draw him and I will raise him up at the last day so Jesus is saying something here he says no one can come to him on their own so for those of us who have that relative that coworker that friend who says you know I'm working on some things I I'm I'mma come you can never come on your own I'm G to say that one more time because I think we really thought we did him a favor by getting saved no man cometh to Jesus on their own it's in the Bible no man can come to me except the Father which have sent me do what draw him no man comes to him on the own so when we have salvation on our list of things to do as a checked box I'm telling you now you may not be saved at all because if you just said okay now I'm g go ahead and do this check and I'm G do this check you I'm G get married go to school check find a wife check settle down check find a church check we'll do the church thing check all these checks and then when he stand when you stand before the Lord there's no check next to your name as far as getting in because he said you don't you don't you you don't just say okay here I come Jesus no man cometh to me except except the father now the good news is the father is drawing so the that that helps me because he wants me to come but I'm not going to come on my own are y'all getting this go to Romans chapter 3 Let's see if let's see let's borrow some some scriptural help and see if you follow with this Romans chap 3: 11 Romans 3:11 are you there the Bible says in Romans chapter 3:1 there is none that understandeth who gets this there is none that understand it notice what it says there is none that seek after God we're living in a day now where we have more spirituality than we've ever had before and most spiritual people do not seek after God are y'all here so we've been chasing this and chasing that and and and we we we read the cards and then we we get our palms read we we we tell by stars we depending on what time of the year we were born is telling us how our day is going to go and and all this stuff and then but we all have a Bible we all believe in Jesus Jesus and yet and still nobody's seeking after God are y'all here so the Lost Sinner listen to me does not seek God so that means salvation must begin with God in other words God is the one who said let me save you not you the one said okay God I'm ready to try this thing except the father draw are y'all understanding this and I promise you it's going to make sense because they're saying okay where the bread at he said you don't understand I'm right here and you're rejecting me and you're rejecting me because you're looking at me which means the father has yet to draw you cuz you're still trying to figure out how I know what I know or what did I read or what article did he Google and all this foolishness instead of understanding is it possible that the father is trying to draw you are y'all still here now now let me give you this and then um I want you to see something and perhaps this will even help a little better go to Luke chapter 19 Luke chapter 19 Jesus comes into this town and there's this guy there's this little fellow his name is zakus little guy I mean emphasis on little zakus is so small he hears that Jesus is coming and so he climbs up into a tree just to get a better view of him because he's a little guy are y'all there and so this is what the scripture says drop down to verse n because this little guy now Jesus notices him up in the tree tells him come down today I'm I'm coming to your house for dinner right zakus comes down and and and the people are complain here they go murmuring again wait a second of all these people out here why would he go eat at this man don't he know that who zakus is and and this is what Jesus response was Jesus said unto them verse n this day salvation what does it say come to this house for as much as he is he also rather is a son of Abraham zakus I want to see Jesus so I can see him but I'm not sure what I'm looking at I just know that's that guy everybody's been talking about and that hold on to that because Zach kids want to see Jesus based off somebody's testimony somebody's testimony so he says salvation has come to your house today look at verse 10 oh my goodness for the son of man is come to seek and save that which is lost why do again why is this so such a big deal because if the father is asking you if he's prompting you if he's wooing you if he's compelling you he's seeking you out I came to seek notice I didn't come to say Here I Am y'all find me no I came to seek and save so zakus I had to come this way now how do you know this has to what does this rather have to do with how we can find this bread because the first question is how do we get it how do I get it well here's the thing the bread got to come to you wow you can't go to the store and buy it you can go online and buy a doctorate you can go online and and buy a an apostleship but you can't go online and buy Jesus sir are you understanding you can't invest in him you can't you can't purchase him you don't have enough money you don't have enough wit you don't have enough enough you don't have enough of anything so he's got to come to you you understand so he says salvation has come to your house and that's what happens when we come to the house of God why do we believe God for unbelievers so that we believe when they come that this would be the day salvation come to their house why do we say we say this to even people who are are in church because I told you I don't believe everyone that's in church is in heaven or on the every single Sunday receive salvation when it came to your house are y'all here so so how do I get this bread I've got to understand he came to seek and save he came to seek and save go to John go back to John chapter six and and we're going to be back there a lot so just if you need to hold your finger or you know your recent search or however you do that on your tablet John 6:45 notice this now verse 45 he says it is written is that what it says it is written in the prophets and they shall all be taught of God every man therefore that hath heard and hath learned of the father cometh unto me now he he didn't kind of Amplified it because first he says you can't even come to me unless the father draw you now is saying the ones that are coming are the ones that have heard and learned this is why even with the Parables when Jesus taught The Parables the first Parable he taught was the parable of the SE and the what did all four have in common a few things number one all four of them had this in common it was the same word yeah same word number two what did they have in common it was the same farmer the word wasn't entrusted to a careless farmer it was the same person what else did they have in common all of them had potential to produce what was the problem the position of their heart one fell by the wayside same word same sore same seed it's where it landed what happened the Bible says and immediately the enemy came and snatched out when it falls by the wayside the birds thank God and said thank you for lunch and they eat the seed before it can take root this is the parable why is this so important because he said those that have heard and learned we're all hearing that's right sir the Bible says one of the signs of the of the of this of this age is that we'll come to the time he Paul tells Timothy one of these perilous times is is that the day of come Christ when men will have itching ears and they will Heap unto themselves teachers they will have people telling them what they want to hear and it says they will be ever come on ever learning but never coming into the knowledge of God so what's going on I'm getting all this information but it's almost like if you could see a machine you know you ever watch if you're bored you know there's I don't even know what station is on one of these channels but is how how it's made they they show you how Taffy is made and all how tires are and they start with the raw Rubber and all that stuff and then they run them through all these machines you know what I'm saying and and so how is peanut butter made and they'll just they start with all these peanuts and they shell them and you all that and then they at the end there's the jar just on this conveyor belt just and then it's sealed and and it's like wow that's how it's made but it's like how does how is revelation Revelation is not made but how does how does how is it translated how is it transformed because right now what am I sharing with you unless you have the right ear nothing but information and this is one of the sad sad things that's happening in churches today is that we are coming to church to be informed but the Bible says do not be conformed to this world but be ye transformed I don't want you to be informed I need you to be transformed but how what is the transform what's the listen what's the mechanics of transforming information into Revelation it's the condition of my heart watch this and the willingness to do what I hear oh that's good oh boy otherwise it's just information it will never be a revelation to me if it's just information coming from somebody or I've already picked and chose which person I'll allow to minister to me you understand so so oh it was a good that was some that was boy I didn't know that that was some good information you mean to tell me I didn't even know that that's all you got that's good sir out all this that's what you got that the Sea of Galilee and the Sea of tyberius is the same SE yeah you that's all you got out of this one that's like saying the hover Dam and and and and B Dam ain't they the same wow that's all you got that's information that's good sir and so what we do we spend like 30 minutes of the message wow just giving information wow y'all ain't going to talk it's okay just keep giving information see what that really means is this and if you look at it from this okay that's great but if you're not going to show me how to translate yeah yeah yeah how to make this information Revelation to me then what you just shared with me didn't fall in the right spot because it says every man therefore that hath what and hath learned this is the key every man that have heard and have learned of Father the father of the father man this word is so heavy to me of the father now go to go listen that means we have to both listen and learn a whole lot of people say I'm listening but but you're not learning and if you're not learning you're not coming listen if you're not learning of the father no man cometh to the father but by me but no man come to me unless the father draw him and the father is not drawing you to a he'll to a certain Matthew okay Matthew Matthew chapter 11 Matthew 11 watch this Matthew 11 y'all already know it but go there anyway verse 28 come unto me all right isn't that what it says Matthew 11:28 come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden watch this come and I'll give you don't miss this yeah you come I'll give give what I'll give you rest you know why you so worn out your soul is weary I'll give you rest for your soul watch this I'll give you rest I'll what I'll give you now now here's here's where here's this is why verse 29 it says take my yoke now see the coming that we got that sir but you he said but now that you're here take my yoke now a yoke is you know a yoke it's not a necklace it's it's a device put on your neck for work right and he said take my yoke so yoke up with me and and learn of me so I love this Sharita we got on a loop you know what I mean it's like you ever been on hold like can y'all just can y'all just give me some variety it's like you know they not coming on cuz the song will end start back over it's like a loop it's a loop and people been coming to Jesus my Lord coming to Jesus coming to for real this time and every time you come he offers you watch this he don't put it on you God I love this he offers because you must be willing to learn he says now that you're hear learn of me how I'm going to do that take this yoke put my yoke on learn of me for I am meek and L holy in heart watch this and now you'll find now remember if you just come I'm going to give you some rest yes that's why he said watch this he said when he came on on the passion week the Bible says he came in and start turning tables he said my H my father's what have y'all done he said my house shall be the house of prayer watch this but you've made it a den not a lounge not not a bar a den a place for thieves to rest because even in your house we've talked about it you got a three-bedroom you know you got your little ranch style house you got three bedroom two and a half you know what I'm saying two and a half bath and and so you got you got that and then when people come over which room do we go into the living the living room because we're company but when you there by yourself where you chilling at where the family at we call it the family room now when we was growing up we didn't have a family room we called it the den you kids going in the and play and this is what he said this is what people have made my house a place to come and rest from their not weariness but from their weary living you've made this a house where thieves come and recline so that means they've come but they're not taking so you got that rest but there is a rest that will rest on you when you leave here but that's going to require some learning take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly of heart and ye shall find rest who's going to find the rest you will so that that's listen I could come to the house of God and be at rest even though my soul is still restless so until I learn of him I won't be able to find because that rest for my soul is a rest that must be found does this make sense yes sir so why is this so important going back to this bread because the question is how do we get it and the answer is is listen you don't go get it it has to first come to you but when it shows up you must receive it you got to receive it go go let me give you one more verse and I think I have another I know I have another question but I'm saying I think I might even get to it tonight isn't that good watch this go go to Hebrews chapter 11 y'all know the Bible Hebrews chapter 11 verse one now Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of Things Not Seen for by it the elders attained a I mean boy this thing of Faith then it drops a bomb on us in verse six verse six says it's impossible what what but without faith it is impossible to please God without faith it's impossible to please God without faith it's impossible to please God but then it don't leave us there it tells us why it says for he that cometh to God must so you have to believe what that he is when before you come you understand you don't go to God to see if he's God that's not Faith you got to believe he's God and watch this go ahead and acknowledge you don't have a clue what that means amen sir what we're trying to do that's why watch this I'mma move Willam that's why most of our gods are so little my Lord cuz I won't let God be any bigger than my own understanding so everything God wants to do in my life that I don't understand I said hold up God I don't know what you're trying to do now you don't understand I ain't doing that and God says I don't understand that's the problem your understanding is where you limit me because whatever I want to do in your life that you don't understand you won't allow so how big is you know what's the song my God is big how big is your God as big as you are allowing him to be because for some people God ain't no bigger than salvation God is just a don't let me go to hell that's it God is all that's all God is to me after that forgiveness oh God you don't know what I've been through my he ain't big enough cuz my understanding don't get it so why would I think you going to do it it's why so many people struggle with just the fatherhood of God because our understanding is based on some man that was our father whether he was good or bad that's my understanding of a father so I I'm I'm struggling with this concept this make sense sir so he says but let me help you now Adrian don't run up in here talking about how much Faith you have because without it it's impossible to even please me because because you must believe that I am yeah and that I am a rewarder of those who diligently seek me are y'all still here now now watch this Romans chapter 10 I'm trying to get back to my to my my text Romans chapter 10 these are scriptures we know I just want us to reiterate them so you understand how do I get this bread if he is the bread of life how do I get it Romans chapter 10:9 y'all know it right verse 9 and 10 if th Thou shalt conf that if Thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and sht believe in thine heart that God have raised him from the dead what does it say thou shalt be saved verse 10 for with the mouth I mean with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation boy this shouting news right then it goes on keep rolling for me verse 11 watch this for the scripture have said whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed keep going verse 12 for there is no difference between the this is good news because he's saying you're included if it was Mana we'd stop but you're included there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek is that what it says no difference between the Jew and the Greek for the same Lord over all is Rich unto all that call that call upon him then here comes the first wrench verse number 13 for whosoever shall call upon the Lord whosoever sh call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved who I know I'm saved cuz I call but here's what did you call because the scripture says verse 14 says but how then shall they call on him in whom they've not belied believed because calling on him without believing negates verse 9 and 10 right because you got to believe yes sir so but how can you call on him in whom you not believe not believe and how shall they believe in him in whom they've not heard and how shall they hear without a preacher verse 15 watch this and how shall they preach except they be sent now we know we got some went ones but that's okay we're not messing with that tonight how shall they preach except they be sent as is written how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring Glad Tidings of good things so you know what these Glad Tidings are loaves of bread this is the bread the bread of life I I I love it one of the one of your you know your many hats Chris one of the many hats so as a pastor I'm the mailman because I bring you your faith right but then I'm also the bread man because I bring you what you need Jesus said this they said Lord teach us to pray what did he say he said when you pray say our father right which art in heaven Hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven then notice what he what's the what's the first what come [Music] on it's a daily portion yes sir it's a it's a daily portion so most of us have taken our Sharpie uh drew a line through daily and wrote in weekly or monthly or seasonally give us our it's a daily portion I already said it if if the doctor Jalil God forbid that it would be you but if you went to the doctor and he said Son oh this is too easy I see what's going on just take one of these a day for 30 days and you'll be fine man ain't got time to take no pills one every day so you decide to take one a week for 30 weeks instead of one a day for 30 days everybody in the room all of y'all looking at Jal it's hypothetical everybody mad at you Jal because you're not following instruction F instruction but people read their Bible once a week they say they want the daily bread but they have decided I'm going to make it a weekly portion are y'all here give us tomorrow no give it to me today yes sir tomorrow this is what the scripture says in Matthew chapter 6 6 don't even worry about tomorrow that's right tomorrow worry about itself you just eat what I gave you today today and I'm telling you the reason don't don't let let me look over here for a minute the reason I know we struggle especially on Wednesday is not cuz it's hump day hump day the middle of the work week we struggle on Wednesday because many times by Wednesday my Sunday portion has [Music] depleted what's wrong with you you didn't get your daily portion y'all still here sir okay okay good he says look look verse 14 put the new century version there for me Elder verse 14 Romans 10:14 and the new century y'all there look at this but before people can ask the Lord for help they must believe in him correct and before they can believe in him they must what hear about him they must hear about him and for them to hear about him we got to beg folk to go distribute bread now we give bread away for the natural we got to cut it off but when we go out for SWAT we got to compel not the world we got to compel the bread Giver to just go out and give the bread we just want you to go out with these Glad Tidings Jesus is coming back and he wants you to go back with them do you mind if I pray with you yes cuz they won't know unless somebody y'all all right so how do we get the bread how do we get it listen we gotta we got to do more than just listen we have to learn how do we get this bread the father has to draw us when he draws us we have to be willing to accept what he's offering which is his son there is no other way I man our Good Deeds just don't they're not good enough do you understand our charitable donations we don't give enough my I'm sorries and my repentance I can't forgive enough I'm telling you there's nothing I can do in and of my own self that would make me qualified to receive this how do I get the bread I just got to trust when I come to him that I'm going to put his yoke on not just hear him but I'm going to learn I'm going to learn I got to believe he is who he says he is so here's the second question babe y'all okay did that help I hope second question how do we eat the bread now I know this may sound crazy but the reason this is so important because you can't just scarf it down how do we your mom ain't never Church Slow Down slow down son where you going you know how do we eat it now there's a I don't have I'm not not going to mess with it tonight I won't say I don't have the time but I won't I don't I don't want to go too far off because Jesus in in John chapter 4 Jesus is going through Samaria he said I must needs go through Samaria and he's goes through Samaria and the Bible says in the middle of the day here's Jesus sitting at the well because he's weary because of the journey and the disciples know The Simple Solution the man need to eat so they went to town to buy some meat the Bible says they bought meat look at verse 47 verily verily I say unto you are you there he that believeth on me hath what have everlasting life I am that bread of life your fathers did eat Mana in the wilderness and are dead sorry but they did they died even Moses died I mean what a diet man I'm what a diet for 40 years Quail water Mana ain't nobody I mean think everybody was fit cuz he you could if you ate if you took too much I mean you talk about the whole I mean they had it going on physically everybody was fit and everybody was fit to be tired everybody was complaining everybody wanted something different it's like the Matrix you know I wish I would have just just took the other pill so I'm missing the my the the the the the Savory taste of that steak and I'm stuck in this thing called the kingdom of God I could be out there enjoying my life I miss it sir the way people used to holler at me ah I miss it say it must it's a
