Effective Facebook Ads for Kickstarter Success

These three Facebook ad templates have exploded over 100 Kickstarter campaigns in the last year alone. Campaigns like ZPack Snap, Sentry Jacket, or NitroPress, and many, many more. And in this video, I'm going to share the exact Facebook ad templates that every Kickstarter creator should be using this year, so you can launch a successful and more importantly, profitable campaign. Now, I really want to share the ad templates, but before I do, you have to understand the three key parts of a Facebook ad first. All right, Facebook ads are not complicated, so this will be fast. Let's pull up this Facebook ad from Morning Dream, who raised over $232,000 on Kickstarter. It's broken down into three parts. You have the primary text, the ad imagery, and the headline. But that order I just gave you is not the order in which people will read your ad. Eye-tracking studies show that most people read your ad in this order. First, your ad imagery, then your headline, and lastly, the primary text. With this new order in mind, you can see that the ad imagery is the most important part of your ad and what we need to get right first. So I'm going to be sharing three ad imagery templates that have proven to work on hundreds of Kickstarter campaigns. Let's start with ad template number one. The simplest solution is almost always the best. That's Occam's razor, something you have definitely heard before, but you probably haven't heard it applied to Facebook ad templates, right? But it actually fits perfectly, I promise. You see, people love to overcomplicate stuff when it comes to ads, but what I've seen over the past 10 years of doing this is that it's the simple stuff done well that works the best. The product hero template is just like how it sounds. It makes your product the hero of the ad. All you need is a photo or photo realistic rendering of your product on a white colored or location based background and you're good. For example, here's a product hero ad for Zpeck Snap. It's just a simple studio shot of the product on a white background and it worked super well because this ad played a big part in helping Zpeck Snap raise over $692,000 on Kickstarter. And here's another example for you. This one is from NitroPress. This is what I would call a location product shot because the product is in the location it's intended to be used, in this case the kitchen, but it still makes the NitroPress the hero of the shot. Now this ad was huge in helping NitroPress raise over 649,000 pounds. So with this ad template, remember Occam's razor. Keep it simple and test an ad that makes your product the star of the show. But you know who else deserves the spotlight? You. Which brings us to our next ad template. So the AI invasion may be coming soon, but more than ever, humans like to connect with other humans. That's why this next ad template works so well. Let's pull up this founder walkthrough ad from ZBeck Snap and let it play for a second. What's up guys, Alex here from ZBeck and today I am super excited to introduce to you the brand new ZBeck Snap. It is a revolutionary new way that we've created for you to be productive on the go like never before. This ad is super straightforward. Alex, the founder of ZBeck is walking through how to use this product. It's shot vertically using a phone camera and there are no cuts or edits. This is by design. When there are no edits, the video feels real and that realness creates trust between the founder and the potential customer and more trust leads to more sales. And speaking of creating trust, that's what this next ad template is all about. Have you ever gone to a restaurant and heard someone ask the waitress or waiter, hey, what do you recommend? How often does that person go with one of their recommendations? Nearly every time, right? Because humans really like to make decisions based on recommendations from others, even if they do not know that person at all. And the data backs this up. 90% of people claim to trust a brand more when it's recommended by others. Again, even if those people are complete strangers. And that's exactly why this next ad template works so well. The user-generated content or UGC template. This is a video that you'd expect to see on TikTok or Instagram Reels of an influencer recommending a product. Let's pull up an example from FTL who raised $88,000 and let it play for a little bit. Guys, I think I found the best bag in the market. It's perfect for overnight trips, busy days in the city, or a personal item when you travel. It's got this awesome modern and sleek aesthetic that looks great everywhere. Right away, the video is speaking to the viewer and making a recommendation. Guys, I think I found the best bag on the market. It then proceeds to highlight all the reasons why the bag is the best on the market. These videos aren't too difficult to pull off because there are tons of examples of them on TikTok. Just go to Google and type in TikTok and then whatever your product category is. For example, let's say you were launching a board game. you could go to Google and type in TikTok board game and then check out some of the trending videos for inspiration to then make your own. By the way, if you want even more inspiration for free, I put together 21 of our best performing ads all in one place. It's called the LaunchBoom Ad Vault and you can get it by going to launchboom.com slash vault, which I've also included in the description below. All right, let's get back to it. So you now have the three best performing ad imagery templates, but what about the ad copy? Don't worry, I'm not going to leave you hanging. Unlike the ad imagery, there's one ad copy template that seems to outperform all the rest. Let's pull up an ad from Cubelet who raised $150,000. on Kickstarter to show you how this template works. Let's start with the headline, the ultimate simple, tiny, yet powerful data tracker. You want your headline to make a bold claim so it instantly grabs someone's attention. That's exactly what Kubelet did by saying it was the ultimate data tracker. Next, let's go up here to the primary text. This is where you back up the bold claim made by your headline. You can see how Kubelet did this with a bolded list. Each item on that list is a feature that backs up the bold claim that Kubelet is the best data tracker on the market. Lastly, it's very important to include a call to action in your primary text. You can see how Qubit did this by saying, reserve now to get an exclusive VIP discount when we launch. This is the final step to create the perfect ad on Facebook. All right, you now have the three proven Kickstarter Facebook ad templates that you can start using right now. So don't overcomplicate it and get out there and start making your own ads. Oh, and one last really important point. You just learned about only one of seven milestones that you must complete to have a successful Kickstarter launch. But don't worry, I created an in-depth video that goes through each one of these milestones step by step. You can watch it right on over here. So go on and click on it and I'll see you on over there.
