Major Regions of the Body

Axial Region

  • Covers: Head, Neck, and Trunk
  • Mnemonic: 'Ax' in axial reminds of a tree-trunk (head, neck, trunk)

Appendicular Region

  • Includes: Upper and Lower Limbs
  • Mnemonic: Appendages attach or come off another structure

Head (Cephalic)
