[Music] whilst most people are familiar with the traditional way to buy a car not many are aware of manheim's auction process and how easy it actually can be by following this Simple Guide anyone can buy a car at one of our weekly auctions across the country and become a vehicle owner right away the first step is to explore the extensive range of vehicles available on our site check to make sure the vehicle's location is convenient once you found a car or a couple of cars you like visit Manheim to check them out you can sit in the car open the Bonnet and ask to view the service history and log books as well we can't offer test drives but at the auction you will be able to hear the car and see it running cars are auction weekly at all of our locations check the website for the day and time of the auction as well as when you can [Music] view before the auction begins you need to register to participate by filling out a buyer registration card and taking it to the cashier's desk in the foyer make sure you have photo ID like a driver's license or passport you will then receive a buyer number you can print an auction catalog from the website or pick one up on the auction [Music] day now the fun part the auction there are multiple auction Lanes going on at once so it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the lot number of the car or cars you're interested in and the lanes they will be auctioned in once the moment comes bid by raising your buyer number or hand so the auctioneer can see you you can track the price on the screens up front or by listening to the auctioneer we know you still have butterflies so we suggest you do some homework on what the retail price of the car might be and what your spend limit is if the car is sold the auctioneer will bang the hammer and yell sold if it's referred it means the minimum price has not been met if you were the last bidder the auctioneer will ask you to come up the front and negotiate a final sale price if you are a successful bidder then you need to pay a deposit straight after the car has been auctioned once the deposit has been paid you have until 400 p.m. the following business day to pay the balance including the buyer admin fees check the cataloges and foyer for fees associated with the auction you are attending we offer many different payment methods the best way to pay the balance is via bpay or direct [Music] deposit once you have transferred the funds make sure to phone ahead to check if the funds have cleared before coming to collect your new vehicle you can also pay by Bank check cash or credit card and we accept Visa Mastercard and [Music] ax once you've paid for your vehicle in full be sure to check with your State's RTA for registration details and remember there is always a staff member on site who is more than happy to answer any of your questions and we'd rather you ask as we are here to help
