Installing Kali NetHunter on Android

Installation Steps

Step 1: Setup Termux

  • Access: Go to GitHub Termux app releases.
  • Download: Get the APK and install Termux.
  • Initial Commands:
    • Run apt update to update references.
    • Run apt upgrade to upgrade the software.
    • Install wget: apt install wget.

Step 2: Install Kali NetHunter

  • Download: Use wget to download NetHunter installer: wget -O install-nethunter-termux https://offsec.com/2mcezwr
  • Permissions: Change permissions to execute the software.
  • Execute Installer: Run ./install-nethunter-termux.
    • Note: Installation may take time; wait for completion.
    • Prompt: Decline deleting downloaded root fs file.

Step 3: Using Kali NetHunter

  • Start CLI: Use nethunter or nh to start NetHunter CLI.
  • Example Commands:
    • nmap -sn kali.org to check open ports (22, 80, 443).

Step 4: Setup Kex

  • Password Setup: Run nethunter kex passwd to set VNC password.
  • Start Kex: Run nethunter kex.
  • Download App: Visit storenethunter.com and download the store app.
  • Install and Configure:
    • Install the app, grant necessary permissions.
    • Search and install NetHunter Kex app.
    • Connect using the VNC password.

  • Android Version: At the time of recording, works on Android 12, but issues on Android 12 or higher might occur.
