foreign all right so good afternoon good day CPD and um welcome setting um topic our new topic for uh that we can that we can learn um today and um this is um very important the uh the topic that we're going to share today is uh a very important topic that we need to be reminded of and um a very important topic to uh to be addressed uh especially in in our in our current Generation all right so [Music] we are going to talk about uh um this very um necessary thing okay so our topic for uh for today is um an approach to Spiritual Development in uh in schools yeah so here Paul in our human development so we need to be to be uh to become holistic you know so uh in schools I we we learned something about uh how to develop our physicalities you know uh how to develop our emotions how to develop our uh mentality and our our social abilities no and and one of the most uh neglected matter or saying that we need to be reminded of and learn is uh Spiritual Development you know so as a person uh this is one of the important Keys uh in life for us to succeed and for our community to benefit with okay so um uh all schools will have a spiritual Traditions whether they identify it or uh or not no so Christian Schools um uh even Muslims or or in in public schools right and each School each one of us especially in schools uh uh their value system will uh underpin understanding of what they mean by Spiritual Development and will inevitably be linked to the moral um social cultural Traditions also uh in in schools okay so why we need to to talk about this matters now uh because as a as an educator you know as what I have observed that um children this in this generation uh their moralities their values are already degrading so I'll give you an example like in in schools in most of schools if not all I uh this is a personal experience as an educator they will never feel sorry about what happened no or or about what they did no not like uh children in in the past generation they're they really uh show respect highly high respect to to the teachers the the moralities or or the the values of our career generation are already I'm not saying it's totally gone but it's it's it's a degrading already so that is why uh I decided to to bring this uh this um topic to to this uh to this company to this training center so the values will also affect the the moral Dimensions by uh shaping the things that are promoted and nurtured through the school culture so um our children or our students schools are the second home over children so schools and US Educators Place uh very important uh role in shaping our our students no our um our children the future of Our Generation and uh the value system which characterizes the school will have everything to do with the beliefs the the values aims uh purposes goals policies and practices that that are part of the school's ethos or school's character and also this is a venue where where students can be molded or can be trained or or will be taught of of these things teachers um it is very important for us to become a a role model of our students okay so really if our are we are we uh are we a good teachers or are we a good mentors are we a good uh person or people to look up to with all right teachers then uh they will highly regard it no if we will do something that then they will they will think that it's it's uh um no so that is why we need to be very careful especially to those um um School owners uh principal and and and school administrators that we need to to uh shape our students uh very well in terms of uh uh Spiritual Development right so spirituality was generally viewed uh as enriching individuals in their understanding of and ability to relate to others and of society as a whole Okay so these uh spirituality or developing us spirituality and this generally views in in developing children or or people as individuals uh their understanding and ability to relate to others and society as a society as a whole right so many people assume uh uh I mean many people assume that uh spirituality is to do with Collective worship you know religious education and therefore it tends to be put into uh those boxes [Music] subjects like like uh religious education or or or other religious uh things no so which is uh Hindi however the truth of the matter is that uh it should influence all areas of education and life no so um um and I think spirituality or you adding uh mentalities uh Spiritual Development it should be integrated in all sorts or all all parts of our life no you know integrated right so Spiritual Development relates to fundamental questions about the meaning and purposes of Life which affect everyone and is not dependent uh on religious affiliation no so this this uh Spiritual Development no should be our uh basic thing to do you know we should learn how the purpose of of our life um it could give a good impact to everybody [Music] it's a religious application okay but we need to put it and integrate it subjects we uh uh we promote Integrations subjects respective Fields so here what we are trying to to figure out here or or to to say is a Spiritual Development shall be incorporated or uh should be uh integrated in all subjects and in all sorts of of things that we do in life right so the term spiritual and moral development needs to be seen as applying something fundamental in Human Condition which is not necessarily experienced through the physical senses and or expressed through every day language right so it has to do with relationships to other people and for believers with God term spiritual and moral development I it is part of us being a human being or or part of our life already it is a need for us to to integrate this uh moral and Spiritual Development no it has to do with relationship to other people and for the Believers with God let me know if we have a um a better Spiritual Development We Will We Will We can live life morally and we can have a good relationship with other people uh and most importantly uh we can have a good relationship with God for those people who who believe in God so little if we have a young good spiritual life so that is what we are trying to to reach on to other people huh we need we need to uh to develop our spiritual life and integrate it in in our daily living especially in in schools right so CPD if our students uh spiritual life they could they could be it could be very polite they could be kind yeah and uh why because we have a maroon spiritual life because they fear God and and the the fear uh their parents and of course they would fear uh the the teachers and it has to do with the universal search for individual identity with our responses to challenging experiences such as death uh suffering Beauty and encounters with good and evil see if we have if we are if we have a good spirituality experience all all sorts of emotions in life so here if if we have a good uh spirituality or if we develop our spiritual life you know we can improve Spiritual Development then what whatever may come whether we are in suffering whether we are in good condition or even good times or evil times then we can uh we can stood up with all those challenges in life right so it is to do with the search for meaning and purpose in life and for values but which um to live right so spirituality is about our relationship with ourselves our family our friends to those uh around us and of course to God and all of the creation um nothing Spiritual Development no yeah this could give us a good relation to all that we see in life foreign so these are the characteristics how do we know that a person is spiritually developing or developed Shah so characteristics of spiritual uh spiritually developing person so reflective realistics thankful and um [Music] a developing spiritually so um but everything is uh the the result are very uh positive so I'll give an example now awful joyful again forgiving Jesus Christ no see Jesus Christ in the life of example we are not talking about religion here so I'll just give you an example example from this example is coming from uh the Bible so we we can share some examples but uh I chose to uh to share this example like in the life of Jesus Christ now this is an example from from the from the Bible okay so here like in the life of Jesus Christ no so Jesus Christ is loving Jesus Christ is generous Jesus Christ is committed to to Struggle No responsible and compassionate one uh five of the few characteristics that I could mention that Massachusetts spiritually develop or or okay so these are the the uh characteristics that we can determine uh Jesus Christ a perfect example according to John 3 16 for God so loved the world that he gave his only we got his son that's whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life so just like Jesus Christ um a spiritually developed person a perfect example from Jesus Christ is generous my uh develop or developing in Kenyan spirituality so sabisa Romans 5 8 according to the Bible but God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us so so God even even God is very generous he he can give his only begotten son no so that is a very great uh example of being generous no having a spiritual uh life develop or developing Aisha just like what Jesus Christ did right and also committed to struggle um spiritually developed I willing um where he called because Christ also suffered for us leaving us an example that you should follow his steps no we should learn how to to um to to make sacrifices to other people or events [Music] um so this these are one of the important things that our students must learn you are also uh responsible spiritually developed I responsibly okay second Corinthians 5 21 Savanna for he had made him to be seen for us and knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in here okay every person must be responsible no if you can see um that's the goal that we should be responsible but that is why that's why we need to teach our children to be to become responsible right okay and also compassionate um spiritually developed individual I compassionate image it is the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not um [Music] [Music] or anything negative so we need to be compassionate uh we we need to be compassionate to all to our students and to our our fellow teachers in schools so yeah if you can see that if you're jumping and then then we can we can determine that our student is uh developing spiritually teachers I our teachers our fellow teachers are developing uh spiritually all right so what one of uh one example lesson from the Bible that can improve our spirituality okay so I am just uh sharing you I'm sharing you this now again this is not religion this is only uh I'm I'm showing you an example or some things that we need to ponder um maybe it can help uh you personally um to develop your spirituality right so again this is not a religion I'm just sharing sharing some some facts for us to ponder and maybe we can learn something from it okay so we are all sinners yeah we are all going to die because of sin and only Jesus can save us right so those are the uh the truth uh that I'm about to share to you according to the Bible we are all sinners no um if I we should be open to ourselves now we should need to be honest to um to give an example um [Music] this is the fact coming from the Bible this is the truth and fact coming from the Bible that we are all sinners no Romans 3 23 for all I've seen become short of the glory of God well these are basic uh example nah that we are all sinners okay and uh all of us can can do such thing right but the fearful and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and whoremongers and Sorcerers and idolators and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burn it with fire and brimstone which is the second that's uh Romans 6 23 you know where the wages of sin is dead but the gift of God's eternal life through Jesus Christ the lord right and that and hell will cast into the Empire this is the second dead and and another thing is we all going today because of sin this is a the truth in fact coming from the Bible no again this is not religion I'm just showing you some important matters that we need to um learn okay so it's all up to you whether you will apply this in in your life as a teacher they were going to die because of sin right so all people die we know that okay even yeah we this is not in science so where for us by one man sin entered the world and death by sin and so that pass upon all men for that all I've seen okay but the fearful of believing in a momentable murderers and normal words and Sorcerers and letters and all liars shall have their part the lake with fire and brimstone which is the second but we all die because of sin right and then only Jesus can save us okay again this is not religion I'm just sharing you something from uh the Bible it's all up to you whether you're going to apply this as a lesson for your students Bible verses the same way as this you can quote this in teaching uh your students only Jesus can save us now he that believe on him is not condemned that he that believeth not is condemned already because he has not he had not believed in the in the name of the only begotten Son of God and they said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and then house and this is uh life eternal and they they might not be the only true God in Jesus Christ whom thou Hast uh sin right so why I'm why I'm telling you this you know why I'm introducing you uh these lessons this topic okay so I know we have we have uh different religious uh we have different religious ideas and religious beliefs but uh I'm just showing you the example of our life Jesus Christ uh the life of our Lord Jesus Christ in in the Bible okay so why why it is important I'll give you an example if we fear God do nothing do nothing realize that we need to some to do something good because we have God in our life uh um but what I'm trying to say here is we need to develop our uh spiritual life because it can it can help and I give you example from the Bible and the life of our Lord Jesus Christ okay spirituality is an innate human capacity foreign we can see in here that the spirituality is already part of the of human capacity right so Spiritual Development is not about becoming more spiritual no in in a measurable responsive sense it is about realizing or becoming more and more aware of one's natural innate uh spirituality um uh that is already part of the the life of the character the values of the human being okay schools can provide children with openings for for Spiritual Development in three a vital way so what's that number one Windows no and schools that plays a very uh that uh plays a very vital role setting is a teacher right okay [Music] tool to teach our children the the values or the morals of our students are already degrading good morning afternoon so that is what we are trying to figure out here now we are trying to remind our Fatima teachers because we are the one who will foreign [Music] we should learn how to um develop our spiritual life no our relationship to God and our relationship to our family our relationship to other people our relationship to our students right so in schools it could give the window for our students giving children the opportunity to become aware of the world in new ways to wonder about lives wow wow amazing things and those things that are bringing us up short oh you know what in these children are learning about life in in all its fullness what so if you have a good spiritual life [Music] no because somebody guided you your parents your your spiritual leaders your your teachers like us so no matter what problems comes in the life of our students they could they will keep on coming up why because they have a good life they they have a good Spiritual Development where they can they knew that they have some some want to lean on number one is God number two their parents and number three we teachers why because they are molded we are shaped they are they are uh they're Guided by the teachers through uh through the the school right [Music] if we have principles here guidance counselors no most important teachers nothing we should always integrate values morality no it's part of spiritual developments subjects also mirrors no the school can can give opportunities no to mirror no giving children opportunities to reflect on their experiences to meditate On Life's big questions and to consider some possible answers in um this in this they are learning from Life by exploring their own insights and perspectives and those of others right so basically we give Reflections at the end of the the at the end of the lesson so what have you learned what reflections from their lessons and it gives huge impact no because why because students fall during school time the consume more enough I hello um that is why and school is venue in shaping and molding and teaching our uh our students so in school it gives the opportunity to reflect their experiences Young we should learn also to uh understand them and of course teach them right teach them well right so so that Para um [Music] [Music] no it's not it's not our duty to condemn our students but it is our duty as Educators to lift up our students foreign [Music] foreign to our children to our students right so I didn't miss work we should be that reflexes reflect we will give them the uh the Great reflection of ourselves so that is and of course simply the man young reflection it should be coming from good things right so and and also doors no giving children opportunities to respond to all of this to do something creative as a means of expressing uh applying and further developing their thoughts and convictions no in this they are learning to live by putting in action what they are coming to believe and uh value so um teacher foreign so that is why uh we need this uh opportunity is to uh to teach hours our dear students to become uh better people as they go along in their lives they will put it into uh action all right [Music] and of course the school cannot cannot uh move forward the school cannot be a school without teachers like us so again we teachers place a very important role no yeah we can have a better Generation Um [Music] in how to how to develop no how to develop um our spiritual life okay and as teachers we need to integrate this in our subjects right so here for the conclusion of this whole matter developing spirituality is essential to each individual spirituality is about our relationships with ourselves family friends others most importantly to God and to all of creation no we need to mold our students as what I've said in in some time nah we can we can make our student and not only make if we would be very careful we can also break them okay let us let us be a responsible
