Frankenstein by Mary Shelley a warning or an homage to modern day scientists at some point in our lives we have all considered going beyond our capabilities to explore the unknown talents we may have with the use of our knowledge we most definitely have discovered hidden gems amongst our journey in line with exploring the unknown upon conducting research of modern day scientific pursuits reproductive cloning and genetic engineering were two of the most common studies and experiments performed by modern day scientists these pursuits are being explored but have yet to go beyond their boundaries upon reading about the pros and the cons of each pursuit there is no doubt that a scientists knowledge to perform these studies can go beyond its limits but can reach a dangerous point in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein the unusual relationship between Victor and his creation displays the dangers of powerful knowledge warning modern-day scientists about the underlying potential consequences of their knowledge and creations these dangers and warnings are shown by Victor's enslavement to his own creation and as Victor and his creation undergo connected tragic detriment in their lives to begin the relationship between Victor and his creation displays the dangers of powerful knowledge as Victor is enslaved to his own creation with the use of his knowledge Victor went beyond scientific boundaries to create a living being without analyzing the possibility that his creation could turn against him and control his life in fact this aspect of their relationship gives a warning to all modern-day scientists to evaluate the possibilities that they themselves may one day become enslaved to their own creation my first example to prove and show this is a quote by the monster the monster state's slave remember that I have power you were my Creator but I am your master obey and this quote Victor's creation reminds him that although Victor may be his creator he is in fact the one in control and that Victor answers and obeys only to him furthermore as stated by victor towards morning Iowa's possessed by a kind of nightmare I felt the fiends grasp in my neck and could not free myself from it groans and cries rang in my ears in this quote even in his sleep victor was consumed by his own creation Victor was given no freedom or clarity at any given moment of his life since he was mentally and emotionally enslaved to his creation finally and other examples one of the cons of reproductive cloning that was found on behalf of the Center for genetics in dissing society it states reproductive cloning would diminish the sense of uniqueness of an individual it would violate deeply and widely held convictions concerning human individuality and freedom and could lead to a devaluation of combs in comparison with non clones in this quote and analyze negative effects of reproductive cloning is expressed reproductive cloning is making an exact replica of one cells therefore making an identical copy of an individual this scientific pursuit can cause the human or rather the original copy to feel a loss of individuality and freedom just as Victor was enslaved to his creation humans can become enslaved to their clones and can eventually lose all control and freedom in their life in some Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein poses as a warning to modern-day scientists the knowledge is powerful yet dangerous through the relationship of enslavement between Victor and his creation furthermore the relationship between Victor and his creation displays the dangers of powerful knowledge as they both undergo connected detriment in their lives since the birth of Victor's creation nothing but chaos and loss has occurred in both Victor and the monsters lives in fact the abandoned and unloved monster went on murdering loved ones of Victor leaving Victor with nothing but guilt and regret of his creation this aspect of their relationship warns modern-day scientists of the possibilities that their creations could only you to loss and destruction my first example to prove and show this is a statement by Victor saying a thousand times rather what I have confessed myself guilty of the crime ascribed to Justine but I was absent when it was committed and such a declaration would have been considered as the ravings of a madman and would not have exculpated her who suffered through me in this quote Victor explains that he is truly the guilty one and that Justine is in fact the innocent one due to his creation of the monster innocent murders and deaths are taking place leaving Victor with immense guilt and regret for his creation further as stated by Victor she was there lifeless and inanimate thrown across the bed her head hanging down and her pale and distorted features half covered by her hair rule and this quote Victor describes his one true love Elizabeth in her deathly state murdered by the monster his creation woo this is one of the few murders that took place at the hands of Victor's creation which led Victor to feelings of loss or to the monster he created to that of destruction and revenge finally another example is one of the cons found regarding genetic engineering which states as modified species tend to be stronger this introduction and modified species may drive the rapid disappearance of unmodified species in this quote a very common concern among scientists is told regarding the topic genetic engineering this scientific pursuit entails modifying or adding DNA in an organism to transform his organism to attain its fuller potential in fact as this quote brought out once an entire species is modified and superior species who are not modified will eventually disappear and die this scientific pursuit can cause great loss around the world especially if modified humans become superior against humans who are not eventually the entire world can suffer from the death and disappearance of a natural human race in some Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein poses as a warning to modern-day scientists that knowledge is powerful yet dangerous through the relationship of Victor in his creation as they undergo connected detriment in their lives in conclusion in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein the unusual relationship between Victor and his creation displays the dangers of powerful knowledge morning modern day scientists but the underlying potential consequences of their knowledge and creations Victor refrained from the possibility that he could be enslaved by his creation warning modern day scientists that they too could be enslaved to their creation furthermore since the birth of Victor's creation nothing but chaos and loss has occurred in both Victor and the monsters lives warning modern-day scientists of the possibilities that their creations could only contribute to loss and destruction modern day scientists should take into account and contemplate all the future possibilities their scientific pursuit may present the good and the bad doing so will protect enslave and save not only the human race their friends and their family but also themselves
