to change name of your Wi-Fi router follow these steps first of all make sure that you are connected to Wi-Fi and then open any of your web browsers then here in this address bar enter the IP address of your Wi-Fi router if you don't know the IP address type in the search box CMD and then open the first result to open the command prompt window now in this window type ip config as you can see on the screen and then hit enter in your keyboard then these details will appear from this details locate for default gateway and note down these numbers 193.168.0.1 okay this is the IP address of your Wi-Fi router now return to the web browser and enter that by IP address here in this address bar and hit enter in your keyboard then you will reach to this login page here you have to enter the username and password if you have username and password then enter those details here if you are login for the first time then for username and password check with the manual that you got with your Wi-Fi router in most cases the default username and password will be same that is admin just a try by entering admin as username and password in small case and then hit login okay now you will reach to this page in this page from the left hand side click on wireless and then in the right hand side you can find here wireless network network name enter your new name here and then click save okay now you have changed your Wi-Fi router name I hope this video will help you thank you for watching this video by itech tips
