Genshin Impact Luna I Update Overview

What's up, Travelers And welcome to the Genshin Impact Version "Luna I" Special Program! I'm Angelina Danielle Cama, the voice of Ineffa And I'm Nic Olsen The voice of Flins "What a rare honor it is to meet such worldly travelers" (soft laugh) Oh yes, indeed Oh, and if you're looking at the time... Don't worry, Travelers! You're not seeing things! We're here ahead of schedule That's right. We're just here to kick things off with a little pre-show entertainment Mm-hmm The Genshin Impact dev team will be the one in charge of introducing the official version content Which means... we're off the hook for today ...Right? Um... Sort of Part of the reason we're here is to keep Travelers company before the show starts... But that's not all Hmm The format of the Special Program is a little different this time We'll actually be staying behind the scenes to watch it alongside all of you! Oh, so do we need to provide commentary at all? Or just enjoy it Umm... Nope To avoid impacting the viewing experience We'll keep quiet while the official program is going on Sweet Once it ends, we'll summarize the new content awaiting us in Version "Luna I" Gotcha! Then, stay tuned for our summary, Travelers! Oh uh... but we can chime in during the redemption code breaks Got it! Alright! I'm sure what everyone is looking forward to the most about today's Special Program is Getting details about the new region... obviously Ahaha. For sure, and getting more information on who we might encounter there Like... our two characters, of course! Ehe, exactly! So, while we have some time before the Special Program starts Let's look back on what we know about Nod-Krai so far Yeah! Let's do it! Whoo The first time Travelers came across the name, Nod-Krai, was from Liben in Version 5.1 That's right Travelers also got the chance to hear more about Nod-Krai in the Version 5.3 event On the Trail of Behemoths This early information revealed two main things... One: Nod-Krai is an autonomous region in the southern part of Snezhnaya And two: it's a chaotic place, controlled by a mix of influences from different nations Right! And, since then, the devs have been dropping lore bombs left and right Like in the "Song of the Welkin Moon" web event That was so cool We learn that Teyvat used to have three moons Two of them were shattered under mysterious circumstances in the past And the last one has fallen silent A silent moon... It sounds so... chilling... I know right! And Travelers even saw one of the shattered moons for themselves When Mavuika punched through the false sky According to her, the remains are called "Ancient Moon's Remnants" Sweet Oh, the web event also went over the eleven different factions present in Nod-Krai Eleven Oh man, that's a lot to keep track of... Ahaha I feel that And, there are some new ones But there are also a few that should be familiar! Okay? Like the Knights of Favonius! Mm In Version 5.6 Travelers had the chance to hear Grand Master Varka's voice for the first time But, he was a little busy Y'know With enemies on both sides And a group on his tail looking to turn him into mince meat... (Right, yeah) Yeah, "busy" feels like an understatement! Hopefully, he's not in too much trouble... Haha I know, and uh... Oh, and after Varka's debut We got a glimpse into the behind-the-scenes production of Nod-Krai! The dev team revealed that Nod-Krai is a place where factions struggle for supremacy All clashing over the same objective... The "moon" Okay, when you say "the moon" You mean, like...the "Ancient Moon's Remnants"? Well, there's more to it than just that Because, according to the devs The moons have a long history in Teyvat And Nod-Krai is home to a power far older and purer than the seven elements Older and purer than the seven elements? Oh, now that sounds very exciting! Definitely! Of course, at the end of the Song of the Welkin Moon Prelude in Version 5.8 Varka sent a letter Inviting the Traveler to meet him in Nod-Krai And, with that Nod-Krai officially became the next destination on our adventure! Which means the factions better watch out! Because there's about to be a new face in town! Hehehe, you got that right! In addition, the devs dropped three Nod-Krai teasers over the recent promotions That's right The first was narrated by a certain mage Who introduced us to some of the factions in Nod-Krai And the second one gave us a sneak peek at Lauma and the Frostmoon Scions... Right! The Frostmoon Scions' home looked so serene and natural Yeah And that deer was just so cute! For real! And, of course, in the third teaser, we got to learn about Flins, the Lightkeepers, and the Wild Hunt Man, seeing Flins in action... Yeah Now, that's sick It really was! I have to agree with you, it was just so... awesome! Ahaha. Alright, last but not least... It's time for the big ones I doubt I even need to elaborate So let's just jump right in! When the "Teyvat Chapter Interlude Teaser: The Gods' Limits" dropped Mm-hmm We got to see the "true faces" of the Shades of the Heavenly Principles... So, you know Just a... Just an average Wednesday, haha... Oh, yeah, yeah Nothing crazy about that, haha... But, seriously That means we got to learn more about the "Sustainer of the Heavenly Principles," right? The unknown god who tore the twins apart at the beginning of the game Exactly! In this video, though We only got to see the Rulers of Life, Death, and Time As they gathered to hold a meeting The Shade from the beginning of the game, aka the Ruler of Space, was missing The unknown god, unknown no more! That's a huge reveal Yeah, for sure Plus, there were a couple of important takeaways One: the Ruler of Space's whereabouts are unknown Two: the Heavenly Principles are still asleep And three: The Jester has a complicated past with the gods And some very intriguing orders to carry out in Nod-Krai Mm-hmm "So tell me — what is the price of killing a god?" Ugh, that part just gives me chills! Killing a god... So, that has to be a part of the Fatui's grand plan Seems like it Based off what we saw in the video We know one thing for sure: One of their goals in Nod-Krai is to retrieve The Damselette, another one of the Fatui Harbingers The Damselette... Hmm, guessing that means she's gonna be a key character in the events to come It's... very possible And speaking of key characters The "Moonlit Ballad of the Night" trailer gave us a glimpse at some of the major characters Travelers can look forward to meeting in Nod-Krai And, man. That was definitely a big one It went so hard! (Yeah) I feel like that trailer is something Travelers look forward to every year! Oh, for sure I mean, Varka, Alice, Marionette, Flins, Lauma... It was so cool to see how all these different factions are converging! Right? It definitely keeps things exciting For sure! Well, with that refresher You should have all the information you need to experience the upcoming Special Program to the fullest, Travelers! And if we built up your excitement even further Well... That's a win-win, haha! Haha And, with that It's about time for the two of us to take a break Coming up next, the official Genshin Impact Version "Luna I" Special Program! Stay tuned, Travelers! Hello, Travelers! Welcome to the Version "Luna I" Special Program Where we bring you a first look at "Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue" I'm your old friend, Aquaria Hi, Travelers! I'm X. Luohao, so glad to see you all again Speaking of, this time we've gone with "Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue" And a version title like "Luna I" The names alone already stand out from our past updates That's right This is the first Genshin Impact update in five years to be given a new version name It's something significant, both for our Travelers And everyone on the dev team So, X. Luohao and I wanted to start By sharing our thoughts as members of the dev team As a long-running open-world game Genshin Impact has always been about pushing ourselves to evolve So we can keep bringing quality content for Travelers For instance, over the past year We've been pushing boundaries and trying out new directions And that's something we'll definitely keep doing We ask ourselves how the story should unfold to live up to your expectations And what kind of content could go above and beyond In the previous Nod-Krai behind-the-scenes special We talked about some of our ideas with you To summarize, we touched on two key points back then First, the team needs to keep evolving the way we create content And second, we don't need to get hung up on the method when it comes to telling a great story Not long ago, we released a series of teasers And you all showed just how much you're looking forward to them The entirety of the "Song of the Welkin Moon" version is Our attempt at integrating multiple aspects like characters, story, and the open world Into one unified experience In today's program We'll reveal these brand-new content to you one by one So, what exactly are these new attempts and content we've been working on? Stay tuned, and let's find out together That's right, don't miss it! This is where our spaceship landed when Lumine and I first arrived in Teyvat... All I remember is Lumine waking me up, and us leaving the ship... The Wild Hunt came... It passed through all the graves! Lighthouse... hope... everlasting night... "Let all mortal flesh keep silent before the light" Look upon my flame. Return to your graves and forever rest in peace Be silent To dust! The long sleep beckons Viewing the world through human eyes is like looking into a kaleidoscope. It is so complex, and yet... so beautiful Ad astra abyssosque! Welcome to Nod-Krai, dominion of the Fatui Hehe... Please, here you go! And if you ever need anything else, don't forget to make the great Lord Sangemah Bay your first port of call! Hmm? Ha, interesting... Sincere apologies, I am unable to come down and greet you at the present moment. I will have to converse from up here Do either of you need my help with anything? Anything at all! After all, I'm the head of this household! Chew on this! Splash attack! "Kuuvahki." It is a unique elemental force found only in Nod-Krai — or rather, a pure, primordial form of elemental energy They say that each of their Moonchanters has had access to an ancient relic that lets them "see" the true past I am still trying to piece together the many fragments of our past. It is a story not only of the Frostmoon Scions, but also of the moons themselves We Frostmoon Scions are the last descendants of the ancient golden realm of Hyperborea Follow me, and bask in the soft light of the moon Forest, protect us For the everlasting forest It is also said that when the moons shattered, most of their fragments rained down upon this land like stardust Yet, successive generations of Frostmoon Scions have always passed down a prophecy — that one day, the Moon Goddess would return That prophecy did indeed come to pass, though not quite— I... still wish to return to the moon that belongs to me The Fatui built their research facility on top of the remnant over on Paha Isle, but they've had their sights set on the one here too The sacred relic of the Frostmoon Scions... It's been stolen! Today's encounter is merely a courtesy call... a friendly warning, if you will I strongly advise you not to stand in the Fatui's way The Frostmoon Scions will never hand over anything to the Fatui With your blood we shall draw an inviolable line in the snow No irregularities detected in the duct You're wrong Just because Nod-Krai lacks a ruler at present, that does not mean it should not be ruled. We Fatui are simply... establishing a new order Kuuvahki ammunition fully loaded Assessing Risk Level: Maximum The Curatorium of Secrets has always striven to abide by a policy of strict neutrality. We do not take sides with any faction in Nod-Krai Help! (O Moon Goddess... Please, save us!) I suspect your spaceship has been intentionally hidden away Are you wondering if your sister might be in cahoots with the Fatui? I'm not asking you to trust me. Just... don't try to stop me Take care... The moon can be treacherous Now that you've seen the version trailer I'm sure you have a whole bunch of questions for us already First off, you probably noticed There's a lot of moon imagery in there That connects to one of the core motifs of Nod-Krai we talked about in our earlier video The moon has always been a symbol of mystery and ethereality And Teyvat's moon holds stories that stretch far back in time Bathed in its light, I imagine the land of Nod-Krai feels distant And enigmatic to those looking in from the outside Sure does To uncover the moon's secrets Travelers will set out from Natlan And travel by sea to Nod-Krai Arriving at the first stop, Nasha Town Yep, and just like previous updates We've added a quick start option for the Archon Quest So you can jump right in and start exploring Nod-Krai You've probably already caught some information About Nod-Krai from what we've shared previously Unlike the nations we've visited so far As an autonomous area on the border of Snezhnaya Nod-Krai was once a flourishing paradise But the Abyssal calamity Left it a desolate wasteland Over time, more and more adventurers came seeking fortune in Nod-Krai And merchants built the Nasha Town we know now atop the ruins It seems that Nasha Town has revitalized the area Not long after arriving in Nod-Krai Travelers will encounter a rather peculiar creature Acting as a tour guide, it will lead you toward Nasha Town Function-wise, it's a bit reminiscent of the Seelies we've met before That's not a bad way to put it They are a species native to Nod-Krai known as kuuhenki With help from a kuuhenki You can take on certain special challenges And make your daily exploration around the map more efficient This little companion is sure to become a trusty helper on your journey Here, we'd like to introduce another core concept Much like "Phlogiston" and "Primordial Sea" In the land of Nod-Krai, there exists a unique form of power Known as "kuuvahki" At its heart, it is one of the most ancient, primordial form of elemental energy Just as a beam of light can be split into seven colors Kuuvahki can be broken down into distinct elemental forces In essence, it's the power of the Light Realm The original state of light before dispersion takes place As a potent force of nature Kuuvahki is also utilized in every facet of daily life in Nod-Krai That's right We've mentioned Nasha Town earlier And in Nasha Town, you'll find kuuvahki devices everywhere Some of the shops here Even utilize kuuvahki for their signs and facilities Take Rossum Workshop as an example At this workshop Travelers can exchange for five Nod-Krai style weapon blueprints People from all over Teyvat are tapping into this moon energy Revitalizing Nod-Krai in their own ways And that gives the area its unique character You might have noticed just now that There's a familiar shop sign in Nasha Town With a Sumeru-themed interior decor Our old friend, Dori Sangemah Bay, has come to Nod-Krai too Ah, no surprise there She's as business savvy as ever Even got the shop set up already Travelers might be able to get some valuable info from her But as for how much Mora it'll cost you Well, that's certainly something to find out We've talked about kuuvahki just now Apart from Nasha Town Its influence can be found Throughout the rest of Nod-Krai as well This ancient power Directly shapes the climate, soil, terrain, and other aspects of the area Kuuvahki also manifests in different ways In different parts of Nod-Krai The creatures living here Naturally change quite a bit because of it The fauna and flora here have unique ecology and behavior Not only that, some of the monsters lurking around Can actually harness kuuvahki for their attacks Likewise, once the Traveler arrives in Nod-Krai They'll be able to tap into kuuvahki's power as well To solve open-world puzzles and challenges Aquaria, since kuuvahki is the primordial form of elemental energy Is there a way to use an external magical focus Like Vision, to help us channel kuuvahki? Oh! Now this is where we spill a little secret from the previous version Back in Version 5.8 You might have noticed that the text is hidden where it should say "Vision" On Ineffa's info page That's because she uses a mysterious device some Nod-Krai characters have Called the Moon Wheel Oh? The Moon Wheel draws power from Teyvat's Three Moons Whoever holds it has the ability to command kuuvahki Since its source of power differs from that of Visions The rules for elemental reactions Have also altered to reflect this change We call these altered reactions Lunar reactions Lunar reactions are our fresh take on reactions within the gameplay system In future versions Starting with the Lunar-Charged reaction We'll be updating a bunch of the traditional reaction mechanics We'll also be seeing another new character Joining the Lunar-Charged reaction team in this update And we'll tell you all about them soon Yep, there's one more coming Additionally Version Luna I will introduce a brand-new reaction mechanic The Lunar-Bloom reaction X. Luohao, from a designer's point of view I don't think that simply adding two more straightforward, damage-dealing reactions Would encourage players to experiment as much Makes sense So for every new system, we try to first define its concept on the party level Oh? Aquaria, want to elaborate on that? OK, take Lunar-Charged reaction for example It's essentially about using a consistent set of rules To unify the elemental contributions of different characters Into a singular, more direct output Oh, I see So the damage from the Lunar-Charged reaction depends on all the participating characters Exactly For Lunar-Bloom reactions It's more like a redistribution of roles within the party Some characters focus on accumulating resources While others handle resource conversion So, Lunar-Bloom adds a new rule on top of the existing Bloom gameplay Which is, when the party triggers a Bloom reaction They accumulate a shared resource called Verdant Dew Characters with Lunar-Bloom abilities Not only allow the party to accumulate Verdant Dew But also utilize Verdant Dew in different ways This kind of rule has appeared in many other games So you might have seen something similar before I'm sure you'll understand it quickly and get the hang of it in no time Beyond the new gameplay When it comes to story and worldbuilding Elements closely tied to the moon such as the Ancient Moon's Remnants and kuuvahki Have drawn various factions to the stage of Nod-Krai Therefore, for this journey Other than the new friends we'll meet in Nod-Krai We'll also reunite with many familiar faces Now, Aquaria and I are going to introduce several characters from different factions Then let's start with the upcoming ones With Lauma, Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions The Frostmoon Scions are descendants of the legendary golden realm, Hyperborea They chose a life in the wilds away from civilization Gathered on what we now call Hiisi Island They worship the moon devoutly Praising Kuutar, the Moon Goddess The Moonchanter hears the troubles of the faithful And offers comfort as the divine envoy Lauma serves both as the messenger of the Moon Goddess to the devotees And the trusted leader of her tribe She is held in great reverence among the Frostmoon Scions Moreover, because of her unique nature Lauma gets along exceptionally well with animals She understands their languages And can even briefly shapeshift into a special half-human, half-deer form That allows her to move swiftly This brings us to the new ways we're implementing game content For example, when Lauma walks around her camp The Frostmoon Scions would salute her to show respect And with the various animals affected by kuuvahki on Hiisi Island Lauma shares a special bond with them Because of her unique nature Take the wild Rimehorn Deer, for instance It will heal the characters in your party And some other animals even share their stored food with Lauma Sometimes help us gather ores, too We believe what makes an open world feel real is How a character's identity and abilities Interact with their environment Instead of relying on long, scripted performance Designs that blend naturally into everyday gameplay Help minimize interruptions and forced moments, and feel more genuine We've integrated content previously conveyed only through readables or dialogue Naturally into the open world's ecosystem and interactions We hope this approach makes your adventure more immersive And rewards players who love exploring and interacting With some extra details and surprises along the way That's right. Lauma's affinity with kuuvahki Isn't just reflected through her connection with the environment It's built right into her gameplay as well Like we mentioned before She's one of the key characters of the Lunar-Bloom reaction With the power of her Dendro Moon Wheel Lauma can convert any Bloom reaction triggered by the party into Lunar-Bloom In addition, Lauma can consume Verdant Dew To boost the damage of all Bloom-related reactions in the party It's worth mentioning that Characters like Lauma, who have the Moon Wheel And can trigger Lunar-Bloom reaction All come with their own unique damage skills And their damage counts as Lunar-Bloom DMG So Lauma isn't just a strong support in the Bloom system She can also dish out serious Lunar-Bloom DMG herself Oh, so a warrior support? Exactly Lauma's Elemental Skill lowers the Dendro and Hydro RES of opponents While her Elemental Burst boosts the party's damage from all Bloom-related reactions Also, thanks to Verdant Dew, the special resource created by Lunar-Bloom Lauma can hold her Elemental Skill to consume extra Verdant Dew and build up a buff called Moon Song Moon Song increases the instance of damage buffs from Lauma's Elemental Burst And also directly deals Lunar-Bloom DMG So besides Lunar-Bloom Is a new member joining Traveler's Team Lunar-Charged soon? You bet, buddy, you bet Other than the Frostmoon Scions We'll also meet other factions in Nod-Krai Like one that's been sparking a lot of interest, the Lightkeepers In the Archon Quest We'll encounter a mysterious, eloquent, and regal member of the Lightkeepers Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins Yes In Version 5.5's Artifact story and in our latest version trailer We've dropped hints about the Lightkeepers They're an ancient order dedicated to safeguarding Nod-Krai's autonomy and peace For ages, they've stood against the relentless Abyss invasions and the Wild Hunt As the name "Lightkeepers" suggests They're never without a lamp in hand But that lamp isn't just for lighting the way It's also their weapon against the Wild Hunt You'll see this aspect reflected in the open world as well When danger is near, the Lightkeeper's lamp Takes on an alarming color And as a seasoned Lightkeeper Flins can even understand the eerie, cryptic whispers of the Wild Hunt My prey... In combat, Flins also wields the power of the Moon Wheel Much like Ineffa He also converts the Electro-Charged reaction triggered by the party into the Lunar-Charged reaction With his Elemental Skill, Flins calls upon the lamp's power Infusing his Normal and Charged Attacks with Electro DMG that cannot be overridden His Elemental Burst can either be used as a follow-up ability during his Elemental Skill Or cast separately And a part of its damage is considered as Lunar-Charged DMG Currently, Flins lives alone at the Final Night Cemetery He keeps watch over the graves of his compatriots And monitors the movements of the Wild Hunt Travelers may run into the extraordinary While exploring this area Just now, we've introduced two factions that are both steeped in mystery and history But the next faction on the list, by name alone, has a much lighter vibe Perhaps even a bit uhh... childish When we first revealed the factions of Nod-Krai A lot of Travelers noticed that this one has a name that stood out from the rest You must be talking about the "Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop" That's the one! And if the workshop has a name like that Then its owner's bound to be just as interesting Speaking of the workshop's owner Travelers probably already know who I'm talking about She's Ineffa's family member, Aino Yep, that's right Travelers who finished the Version 5.8 Archon Quest have already crossed paths with Ineffa And picked up some info about Aino Don't be fooled by Aino's innocent and vivacious act And her constant craving for krumkakes She's actually a genius mechanic and inventor Not only did she assemble Ineffa, the robot girl, from collected spare parts She also designed a special cannon for Nasha Town to fend off the Wild Hunt A cannon? Looks like Aino really knows her way around machinery She can also use the mechanisms she carries in fights Aino can control the mechanical wrench behind her by using her Elemental Skill Allowing her to dash quickly and deal damage Her Elemental Burst deploys a cute water-spraying device called "Cool Your Jets Ducky" Which periodically attacks opponents, dealing Hydro DMG Both she and Ineffa make great allies of Lauma and Flins Oh, and Aino's actually our first Hydro Vision user who wields a Claymore So that means I finally get to bust out that Hydro Claymore appearance I farmed in Stygian Onslaught You bet! However Being so caught up with inventions, Aino's not exactly gifted at everyday chores Luckily, Ineffa takes care of the trivial for her Otherwise, Aino would likely find herself living amidst total chaos Around the workshop, we see all the metal parts and materials Aino's collected scattered everywhere And a multipurpose armed robot for domestic application, "Knuckle Duckle" Yep, the name definitely screams Aino Travelers can chat and spar with Knuckle Duckle to get character level-up materials So here, to demonstrate the new interactions in the open world Encounters with powerful opponents don't always have to end in a fight If Aino or Ineffa is present You can even unlock extra dialogue options Hey, I noticed one of those options opens up the Workshop's Trove That's right I wonder if Travelers have discovered that When your Ineffa hits Friendship Lv. 6, you'll receive a Mysterious Bolt And there are more ways to collect these bolts while exploring the new version Spend enough of these bolts at Workshop's Trove to exchange for unique items exclusive to Aino and Ineffa And once you have these items Some of Aino and Ineffa's appearances will actually change So, we just introduced three new friends All of them will appear in the first act of the Archon Quest in Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue, "A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves" Shortly after the quest begins, you'll meet Aino And you can invite her to your party right away That's awesome As the story unfolds We'll get to know our new friends even better By the way, in some parts of Nod-Krai When these new characters interact with the locals The locals will react differently depending on who's around You might even receive small gifts from them Yes These characters and factions all have their own quirks And I'm sure everyone's excited to see how their stories intersect in the new Archon Quest OK Why don't you give the Travelers a quick rundown on the new Archon Quest, X. Luohao? Sure thing First off, I want to chat with all Travelers about Some changes in how the story is arranged in this new update We've learned a lot from past storylines And realized sometimes you need to break the mold And reorganize the plot for the best possible experience The characters we just talked about Lauma, Flins, and Aino Their backgrounds play a key role in how the Archon Quest unfolds So this time, we've closely integrated the Story Quest into the Archon Quest This won't become a new standard But rather, the best way to tell the story in Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue For example, in the Archon Quest of the version Travelers will join forces with Lauma, the Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions, and dive deep into the conflict against the Fatui Along the way, you'll gradually learn about Lauma's past And gain a deeper understanding of the Moon Goddess the Frostmoon Scions strive to protect Then there's Flins from the Lightkeepers Through your time with him You'll come face to face with the threat of the Wild Hunt And feel the Lightkeepers' unwavering resolve to guard Nod-Krai as you travel Other characters featured in the Song of the Welkin Moon trailer Including Marionette of the Fatui Harbingers The "Moon Maiden" Columbina Nefer, owner of Curatorium of Secrets, and her partner Jahoda Will also appear in this update to meet all of you Of course, our old friend Varka, Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius Seems to have left some clues for Travelers in Nasha Town You mentioned "The Damselette" Columbina just now She first appeared back in "A Winter Night's Lazzo" And in this new update, her title has changed from a Fatui Harbinger to "Moon Maiden" X. Luohao, could you share a bit more about how that came to be? Absolutely. To explain that, we'd have to go way back To when the night sky held three moons... Wait, wait, wait I don't think we need to go that far back, right? OK, given the time constraints Let's keep it brief for today From the info we've already revealed Travelers might've guessed that The Damselette has a deep connection to the moon itself When you visit Nasha Town and Hiisi Island in the new version You'll even spot Nod-Krai's unique Statues of the New Moon Sculpted in the image of The Damselette's past self Nod-Krai is actually The Damselette's homeland The place where she was born You just said "The Damselette's past self" Does that mean she was already worshipped as a deity before joining the Fatui? Exactly Right now, for certain reasons, The Damselette has left the Fatui And is currently hiding somewhere near Hiisi Island Since all these factions in Nod-Krai gather because of the moon It makes sense that The Damselette has connections to each of them For more on the Archon Quest in the new version We'll leave it to Travelers to discover for themselves in-game Oh, and by the way Even though this version Combines Story Quests with the Archon Quest I'm sure everyone's wondering Are we still getting all the rewards we're supposed to? Of course! Right, I want to assure you all All the character level-up materials and Primogem rewards Will still be given out along with the Primogems ×500 from completing the Archon Quest So Travelers, don't forget to claim your rewards after finishing the quest So, besides the changes We just talked about in the story We're also introducing a brand-new content feature Called the "Meeting Point" It's designed to showcase snippets and moments of the characters' everyday lives in Teyvat Like we mentioned in the previous behind-the-scenes We've now adopted a subtler approach for Story Quests and Hangout Events As opposed to upholding the "sacred traditions" And integrated them naturally into the world's exploration and interactions The goal is to break these stories out of traditional quest format And present them to Travelers in a fresh way And since it's the "Meeting Point" Well It's basically a place for Travelers to hang out with their buddies That's right At the Meeting Point Travelers can chat with their companions as they like And progress through various unique events related to them Experience their everyday lives As you complete these events You'll gradually learn more about the factions they belong to In Version Luna I Travelers can construct the Meeting Points alongside Flins, Lauma, and Aino at various locations For example, you can visit the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop And observe the heart-warming everyday moments between Ineffa and Aino Or take a seat at Frostmoon Enclave of the Frostmoon Scions Read the legends and stories passed down among their people with Lauma Or head over to Flins's home And listen as he shares the long history of the Lightkeepers Travelers can spend the Luna Sigils collected along the way at Meeting Points To raise their Construction Level Which in turn unlocks plenty of rewards There's one more thing of interest In Nod-Krai The Damselette has her own special area A sanctum blessed by the newborn moon The Silvermoon Hall When you're in the Silvermoon Hall The Damselette might ask you for minor favors It might be humming a tune together, having a heart-to-heart Or even a light stroll together under the moonlight And after you respond to these requests She'll show her gratitude By offering you powerful support for your adventures around Nod-Krai Hey, Aquaria Now that we've covered the new characters and storyline Can we finally reveal the new Event Wishes That everyone's been dying to know? Oh, the Wishes! With all these new adventures, of course we're bringing new friends along For the first half of Version Luna I Lauma and Nahida will have boosted drop rates Plus, a new Chronicled Wish will launch during this period And if you've seen Nahida, you can probably guess This Chronicled Wish will be packed with Sumeru characters So for those focused on Dendro builds, don't miss out! The 5-star Catalyst "Nightweaver's Looking Glass" will also be featured in the Weapon Event Wish of the first half Then, in the second half Flins and Yelan will be added to the Event Wishes And the 4-star character Aino will see a big boost in her drop rate as well A brand-new 5-star Polearm, "Bloodsoaked Ruins" Will also be available in the second half of the Weapon Event Wish Apart from new weapons, the update will also introduce two new Artifact sets "Night of the Sky's Unveiling" and "Silken Moon's Serenade" Travelers can obtain these in the new Domain of Blessing That's a lot of info to take in So let's give everyone a moment to digest How about a fun little video break To get a firsthand look at Nod-Krai's unique natural environment? After that, our dev team will share more on Nod-Krai's ecology, factions, and version events Oh, and a quick heads-up We'll also be covering some much-anticipated info about the Fatui So, stick around, everyone! Here in Nod-Krai The power of kuuvahki is not to be underestimated It sets machines in motion And fortifies the creatures of this land Kuuvahki affects everything Even the weather It is the power to attract... And repel Of course That's just the beginning of the story Itching for more info? Heh, stop by the Curatorium of Secrets... And we can exchange stories Hey, Angelina What? Can we talk now? Uh... I think so? Wow, okay... That was a lot of information, wasn't it? Yes, so much cool stuff! The dev team didn't hold back, that's for sure! Totally! From the characters to the story... There's just so much to take in... Okay, what are you looking forward to the most so far? Huh... Oh! Oh, meeting The Damselette, for sure! Yeah, haha She's just so cute! Aww, so not because of her identity, the plot, her role in it... or stuff like that Just the cuteness factor? Umm, the most important factor, you mean! Right... How could I forget, haha... Hehhehe Well, the Lunar reactions also seem super cool Ineffa and Flins can both convert Electro-Charged reactions into Lunar-Charged reactions And, Lauma can convert Bloom reactions into Lunar-Bloom! That's right! And, since Aino is Hydro, she can help trigger both! Oh, yeah! The team comp is really coming together! Heh, definitely... Oh, wow. That was fast Looks like it's time to hand things back over to the devs! Oh, here we go Hello, Travelers I'm Orange, a quest designer for Genshin Impact It's great to meet you all! Hi, Travelers! I'm Mowang, a level designer for Genshin Impact For the next part The two of us will bring you even more info about Nod-Krai Hey, Orange, did you see the video just now? Mhm It really showed a lot of interesting stuff about Nod-Krai's unique ecosystem Absolutely. Part of the adventure is getting to know the local customs and environment Speaking of which We want Nod-Krai to offer Travelers a fresh and more immersive experience like never before Do you remember the factions that Aquaria and X. Luohao mentioned earlier Like the Frostmoon Scions and the Lightkeepers? I do They seem pretty friendly toward the Traveler I think they would become friends And finishing related quests comes with great rewards, too For example, on Hiisi Island, home of the Frostmoon Scions Completing special World Quests uncovers the hidden secrets of the area And earns you a Sword crafted in the style of the Frostmoon Scions But Mowang, I've heard that Nod-Krai is a place with many complicated factions There must be some that aren't exactly friendly to us, right? Indeed. We mentioned earlier Nod-Krai doesn't follow the kind of order and structure we're familiar with Naturally, there are some undercurrents at play For instance, these familiar statues Here in Nod-Krai, the struggle over the power of the Ancient Moon's Remnants Left each region's Statue of the New Moon looking different Some are even completely encased in metal devices And that brings us to Another major faction in Nod-Krai The Fatui The Fatui... Of course! Let's see what new tricks this old rival of Travelers' has pulled in Nod-Krai Previously, you all saw that Marionette of the Fatui Harbingers is currently active in Nod-Krai Under her leadership The Fatui wasted no time constructing a massive fortress Atop the site where the Ancient Moon's Remnants fell Which is the Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau you see behind us The name already says a lot Kuuvahki is one of the oldest powers in Teyvat Naturally, the Fatui wouldn't skip on such an opportunity to seize the gods' authority Right. Per the highest command, the "Palestar Edict" Elite Fatui units from Snezhnaya have already poured into Nod-Krai At the Design Bureau, they've been using local resources To produce a whole arsenal of kuuvahki–powered war machines Building up a formidable military presence in the region From Mondstadt's Skirmishers to Fontaine's special ops Fatui tech has been steadily evolving Seems harder to deal with, yeah? Most likely But since these weapons are powered by kuuvahki Maybe there's a way for us to turn that against them? Yup, for sure, my friend In Nod-Krai, when Travelers wield kuuvahki They can harness its mysterious attraction and repulsion powers to solve key puzzles Strip opponents of their weapons And even interrupt their attacks Speaking of which With all this military muscle deployed in the area I'm sure everyone's wondering what exactly the Fatui are up to Well you see... Uhhh! If you're curious You're invited to find the answer after the update drops But fair warning The Design Bureau belongs to the Fatui, so it's heavily guarded and extremely dangerous Well, that won't stop our Travelers Even with tight security The Bureau's layout is complex. There's always a gap we can slip through You can charge in through the front and fight your way past the Fatui Or take the stealth route and sneak through vents and other structures And once you make it deeper inside You'll run into plenty of security devices Which can be disabled using kuuvahki Fun fact — if you make use of the Fatui's cleaning units You can even access some secret areas Cleaning units, huh? Never thought the Fatui would also be into robot vacuums I can already imagine navigating through the vents with them With help from some new local allies We will also gradually uncover the Fatui's hidden research projects Just be careful Once you trigger their alarms The Fatui will send a swarm of soldiers to take you down So stay sharp, Travelers Well, risk and reward go hand in hand Which means the Bureau is bound to hold plenty of goodies worth our while Speaking of treasures, I've actually got a piece of top-secret intel They say that Reed Miller, founder of the infamous Treasure Hoarders First made his fortune right here in Nod-Krai And left behind a Great Treasure for future generations One of the clues to that treasure is said to be hidden within the Design Bureau Oh! Legends, Treasure Hoarders, a Great Treasure... we've got all the ingredients! I bet that Travelers are going to get the treasure for sure Not so fast From what I hear, plenty of other factions have had their eyes on the treasure for a while now To find it, competition against everyone else seems unavoidable Not to mention the need for temporary alliances under certain circumstances If all these factions are constantly at odds on or off the table Then the Wild Hunt is The one shared enemy of all living beings in Nod-Krai The Wild Hunt is a dangerous form that the Abyss takes in Nod-Krai Wherever it ravages, almost no life survives Hmm... Judging by the appearance of the Wild Hunt No doubt many unfortunate souls have been caught in its path I've also seen Wild Hunt creatures dressed in Lightkeeper attire A grim reminder of just how many have fallen to this disaster True, but the people won't sit back and submit to fate To this day, Nod-Krai still holds the Wild Hunt at bay with kuuvahki Apparently, that big cannon in Nasha Town Is a device built by Aino To fend off the Wild Hunt's devastation Ah, that explains the design Definitely Aino's handiwork The Lightkeepers never dallied in their duty either They have held the frontline using the power of the Tideseal Stone all this time Some traveling merchants say that Through the dense fog of the wilds, you might occasionally glimpse a mysterious figure Chasing down the Wild Hunt In other corners of Nod-Krai There are more foes that require our utmost caution They've been influenced by the latent kuuvahki in the environment Some learned to manipulate it, while others have undergone drastic changes in form For instance, this cave-dwelling monster that looks like a butterfly Is one of the tougher opponents Travelers will encounter Taking it down yields level-up materials for Lauma As for Flins and Aino's level-up materials They can be obtained from the massive robot we saw earlier, Knuckle Duckle Besides everything we've mentioned so far Nod-Krai's also got exciting events lined up for Travelers to check out Embark on a magical journey about mysterious machines with Aino and Ineffa Or take part in check-in events, combat challenges, and more to earn plenty of rewards like Primogems and a free 4-star weapon Stygian Onslaught will also receive an update in the new version Travelers can jump in and take on some tough new opponents Additionally, the Overflowing Favor event for double Artifact drops will also be available after the update Don't miss out! But since we're calling Song of the Welkin Moon a new series We've also implemented a bunch of stuff to the event lineup this time First up is the "Valiant Chronicles" Starting from "Luna I," the very first version of Song of the Welkin Moon Travelers can take on new Local Legend bounty quests from Katheryne And unlock a unique Avatar Frame Looking great for the first of its kind. I can't wait to get it! Also, in the permanent gameplay mode, Imaginarium Theater With the mage's arrival, a special item called "Lunar Arcana" has appeared on stage After the event updates in the new version Travelers can start a new challenge mode — Lunar Mode Beating the additional combat stage, the Arcana Challenge Will reward you with elusive Lunar Arcana The design looks amazing I think many Travelers are gonna try collecting them all They're not just cool collectibles. You can trade them with your friends, too Swap cards, share the love, and you'll get your favorites in no time Well, if I'm missing any, I'm definitely hitting you up for a trade Depends if you've got what I want first Naturally, with the new Lunar Arcana comes more Primogems and item rewards New Envisaged Echoes challenges will also be added Just in time for Genshin Impact's fifth anniversary Our beloved rhythm game event is back with the anniversary album, ready to celebrate five incredible years together through music The score theme selection is getting new additions for Xilonen, Kamisato Ayaka, and Diluc in the shop And of course, we can't leave out the good ol' Genius Invokation TCG We've also got tons of new character cards and content lined up This new card's effect looks pretty slick Character Invitation, the Heated Battle Mode, and The Forge Realm's Temper All these exciting features are waiting for card masters like you to dive in and enjoy Hey, Mowang, do you remember Our team told Travelers earlier that We'd be sharing something about Travelers' Tales Travelers' Tales... Let me think I think they said once it's polished up, it'll be a permanent feature in the game That's right. And in this new update, it's finally here Once the update drops, Travelers will receive a special notebook Recorded inside are all the little moments shared Between the characters and the Traveler in Travelers' Tales And here's a little surprise After grabbing the notebook, you can head over to the Grand Narukami Shrine in Inazuma Where a special new spot will appear Oh, I remember those days — going to the Grand Narukami Shrine every day and asking the shrine maiden for a fortune slip Now, it's not just the fortune slips. You can make other wishes too Just quietly write down the name of the companion you want to see And who knows? You might run into them somewhere in the open world after So it's permanent, and you can wish for characters you want to meet That's pretty awesome So, are we finally at the part with the rewards and optimizations? You got it! So, Travelers, take a little break for now And we will be bringing you even more content in and outside the game shortly Welcome back, Travelers! This time, our old friend Michael is also here To help me walk you through the rewards and optimizations in Version Luna I ...OK Michael What's with that look and pose? Got something to say? You're asking me? It should be the other way around, Aquaria You made me a walking meme with the Version 5.0 Special Program! Okay, fine, so how do you want to start things off this time? I've collected confessions from Travelers about their journey from a newbie to veteran player And some of the struggles they've faced. Get ready for MY questions soon Well, I'm pretty confident with that Whether it's feedback from customer service or videos I come across, I've got it all in mind Hmph, keeping them in mind isn't the same as having a fix on-hand Director, let's get to it then Well alright, let's take a look I'll just jump in and answer the stuff that everyone already knows Fine by me First up, the obligatory anniversary rewards Travelers will receive Intertwined Fate ×10 and Dust of Enlightenment just by checking in during the Anniversary Login Event That's right We'll also drop Primogems ×1,600 and other rewards through the in-game mail Including two Nod-Krai-style quirky gadgets The Rotor Hovering Daybed even allows you and your friends to ride together Exactly The Initial Top-Up Bonus will also be reset after the update The anticipated anniversary permanent 5-star character selector event is also here Featuring a new addition to the selections, Yumemizuki Mizuki from Inazuma You're right. We have prepared all these rewards this year Hmph, see? Now, it's my turn to put you on the spot! So this is where the fun really begins, huh? Yep, let's bring out the questions Wow, looks like you came prepared Now that I've compiled all these early-game complaints Aquaria, what's your response? Ah, so this is your plan. But I want to reassure Travelers and you both There's a whole lot more feedback we've caught onto beyond your list And we've prepared some optimizations accordingly. Please put them on the screen Michael, why don't you take a look at your device? Alright, let me check More ways to obtain Adventure EXP, so we'll level up faster That's right These in-game tutorial videos are actually pretty straightforward What do you mean by Test Run requirements reduced? Ah, Test Run is the tutorial challenge we bring out each time we introduce a new character And now we've given it a little upgrade If you already own a character and have cleared their trial stage in Test Run before You can now grab the rewards right away when the new Test Run event goes live OK, I see. Then this one's pretty cool, too. Nice Hey Aquaria, this last one's about lowering Co-Op Mode difficulty — care to explain? Ah, I've got to say something about this one too In Genshin Impact, there's actually a huge group of Travelers who look for parties in Co-Op But can't always take on tough bosses or high-level Domains alone But the original Co-Op difficulty scaling assumed that everyone could handle those fights on their own Which meant when they teamed up just to help each other out, they'd sometimes end up facing battles way tougher than expected That's why in the new version, we've reduced the Co-Op difficulty in the open world and in some material Domains Yeah, been there. Brought a coworker to the Domain and got owned Oh, so it's happened to you too, huh? Yep, but then I got good Wait, hold on — you totally derailed me there. Anyway, back to what we were saying Alright, this one's for all my fellow Genshin Impact old-timers out there Let's do it We've been playing for years and ran into all kinds of issues I'm sure you already know what issues they are So, what offerings have you prepared for us veterans? For the veteran players, naturally I— Hold right there! I'm not done yet I've still got two things I need to call out Call out? Yeah, these are very important First up — daily Resin runs. Sure, we've had some tweaks, like the changes in Version 5.8 But after all this time, you can still only craft Condensed Resin one at a time for 40 Resin And then you gotta catch Crystalflies, then craft... It's seriously a hassle Second, Artifacts. I bring this up every year, and yep, I'm bringing it up again this year Like, I've farmed a ton of 3-affix Artifacts that might come in handy But I'm hesitant about turning them into strongboxes or trashing them What if I need them later? And now my inventory's overflowing True, the points Michael just brought up are pretty specific It's not just about new players. We're also looking out for long-time players with upcoming optimizations And Michael, all the issues you just mentioned will be addressed with these updates How about we keep rolling the reel? Hang on. Before we go on, let me give you some friendly advice as your coworker Oh yeah? Let's not make empty promises. You start talking nonsense And I'll end up picking up the pieces Relax, relax. Since I'm giving you the spotlight today You'd better believe I've packed in enough surprises to bury that whole list of yours Very well, I shall judge with the Travelers then First off, okay. So in the new version, once I've explored enough I can just track down all these chests and Oculi right away, yeah? Yes No complaints here. Great optimization And the second one. From the demo, it looks like the Tribal Secret Spaces in Natlan. That's neat too For me, Dust of Enlightenment is way more precious than Sanctifying Elixir Keep going Uhh, third and fourth... Yep, that's exactly what I need Want to fill us in on the details, Aquaria? I'll break down items three and four one by one Let's start with something everyone cares about, Artifacts Like Michael said, plenty of Travelers have piles of 3-affix Artifacts And one can't help but wonder, what affix would I get when I +4 it? Starting from Version Luna I, we've saved some of that trouble for you Every Artifact will now reveal its locked affixes right from the start So you can save yourself a ton of time and resources Travelers can also use Sanctifying Unction and Essence directly for Sanctifying Elixir extraction progress now And when you're extracting higher-level Artifacts, you'll get more progress than before And item four, which is your favorite, optimized bonus reward claims After the update, on screens where you claim rewards You can now directly consume 40 Resin for double rewards And on top of that, the Condensed Resin formula now takes 60 Resin instead of 40 Meaning you can cash it in for triple rewards But wait, there's more. The formulae for Condensed Resin and Crystalfly Traps are now easier to obtain You probably remember, they used to be unlockables in the Reputation Systems of two cities Yeah And one last thing. You can now purchase Resin with Primogems on the settlement screens for triple rewards on the spot Nice, that saves a lot of trouble for me, and using up Resin just got a whole lot easier These are nice and all but... I think you've got something bigger up your sleeve Mmm? ...Hey, don't let the conversation die I'm not. I answered all your questions, no? No, no, no I know how this goes. You're about to pull a stack of cards from under your chair and make me pick one, aren't you? Not this time. Seriously, Michael, I mean it It's true that I have way more planned for today But this year, let's switch it up, try something other than cards And now Travelers, let's take a look at What other optimizations and goodies the dev team's prepared for us in Song of the Welkin Moon Michael, if what we've just been talking about are all within the players' expectations Then what I'm about to bring up is what they would call the "sacred traditions" We're changing the sacred traditions? Yes! Starting with Version Luna I, in the first week after the new 5-star character Event Wish goes live All Talent and Weapon Ascension Material Domains will have their time restrictions completely lifted Awesome! I can pull them and max them out in one go! That's right Any time during that week You can grind for all the materials you need And one more good news When you claim your anniversary 5-star character of choice We'll also throw in all the materials you need to take them straight to Lv. 60 Fantastic! Michael, do you remember What I promised everyone before? That the 5-star selector would be a recurring annual reward? Yeah But here's the thing For a lot of Travelers who join later on If they miss this anniversary They'll completely miss out on the selector too That they will Yes So this time, to make sure even fresh-off-the-boat Travelers in the new version can still snag these characters We'll be dynamically adjusting the duration of the 5-star selector event Be sure to keep an eye on our official announcements for more details Awesome! So basically... any time from now on is the best time to join Genshin Impact? That's right But y'know, Aquaria Everything sounds nice and all But for players like me who haven't missed a single day They feel kinda... "meh"? Fair enough For you dedicated folks You get a clean sweep already, right? Very well, very well Now prepare yourself for what's coming next For the next reveal Let's do it the classic way Michael, you can try it live on your device Okay, let's see Ah, live pulls again? Oh yes Aquaria I'm watching carefully this time This is just the Standard Wish Well, give it a pull Oh, I just got Yumemizuki Mizuki Wow~ But I've already maxed her So that was basically a 50% discount? Hold your horses, Michael Take a closer look at the Wish results screen Do you see anything besides the usual? Wait a minute What's this "Masterless Stella Fortuna"? I thought it was only 25 Starglitter before That's right And this is the big new feature I've been saving, the Masterless Stella Fortuna When you obtain a 5-star character that's already at max Constellations The extra copy will turn into this item But, what's this item even for? Well It lets you bump the level cap of any character in your roster Up to Lv. 100 What? So I can boost whoever I want? You can And at Lv. 100, your character will have stronger base stats And a greater base effect when they trigger Elemental Reactions Oh So that's how it works But something's amiss! What's wrong? Thinking about all the dupes I've pulled over the years I missed out, big time! You're salty about all the Masterless Stella Fortuna you could have gotten, right? Yeah Relax We've got you covered Once this update goes live We'll retroactively track every single pull you've ever made And send you the exact amount of Masterless Stella Fortuna you should get So no need to sit on your Primogems and wait for Version Luna I to pull Wait All of them? That's right You mean every single pull since launch? Yes That's awesome! That means I'm about to cash in all that Stella Fortuna for levels I can start turning them into Lv. 100 characters and show off my all-stars party Finally, my overflow pulls have a purpose But wait Going from Lv. 90 to Lv. 100 Doesn't that mean, per usual practice I'll need tons of EXP books and Mora? Nah You don't have to worry about that either Sure, you can only use this on characters that are already Lv. 90 But at the same time Their level cap and current level are raised together Meaning no extra EXP books or Mora needed No way What do you mean "no way"? I'm serious Aquaria, don't toy with me Compared to last year The rewards and optimizations this year are hitting way harder Like this Masterless Stella Fortuna Tracking all the pulls from launch Are you sure these decisions won't cause any problems? Let's put it this way I often hear this saying And I bet you and the Travelers watching have heard it too "Genshin Impact doesn't want to make money," right? Well, it's not entirely true Players who've been traveling with us this long know Over the years Genshin Impact's production costs have gone way beyond what you'd expect in a typical game Genshin Impact's value and what it brings to the table Are far more embodied in its IP and gameplay The characters, the stories, and the fun itself And with that in mind We've got one more bonus to share with you Another one? That's right This one comes from the philosophy we just spoke about To celebrate the bonds between players, the characters, and their stories The dev team has come together to bring you a brand-new gameplay system "To Temper Thyself and Journey Far" In this system Traveler's every action in Teyvat will be remembered And the fate of Teyvat will resonate with your own This will allow you to forge an even deeper connection with one of your owned characters And when that happens, you'll be able to claim one of their Stella Fortuna. For free What!? Yes In the upcoming version We'll roll out Stella Fortuna unlocks for select characters first Through "To Temper Thyself and Journey Far," players will be able to Earn up to four additional Stella Fortuna for 5-star characters per year L—Let me get this straight This year, not only are we giving away a standard 5-star character If the player's up for it They can also claim four exclusive 5-star characters? You might have denied it earlier But your "Genshin Impact doesn't wanna make money" rep is going to stick! Well... Genshin Impact isn't exactly a conventional video game A lot of our decisions Honestly carry a splash of idealism Instead of a product with astronomical revenue We would rather make something that leaves a mark on our players, on these times, and maybe even in history And with that goal, there's always going to be a very real and materialistic side to it But also the idealistic side that's carried us this far Some people criticize the material parts And some praise the ideal But for everyone on the dev team Either or, and all aspects of what we do Are what makes Genshin Impact Mhm That's right The publishing team shares the same goal as the dev team To keep improving the Genshin Impact experience for Travelers And before long We'll be celebrating Genshin Impact's fifth anniversary During the anniversary celebrations We've also prepared plenty of surprises for our Travelers outside the game itself Alright, we're back! Yep! Has it really been five years already? Yeah, next month, right? Wow... Man, five years is a long time But, still, the devs have never stopped looking for ways to keep things fresh! Definitely, but! For a newbie like me... It all feels pretty new Haha, that's fair Oh, and speaking of... Genshin Impact's anniversary celebration is going to look a little different this year It's not going to be a segment of the Special Program Haha, that's right. The Genshin Impact 5th anniversary celebration is getting its own video this time So, tune in on September 28 to check it out! Congratulations Genshin Impact on an amazing five years! Yes! Now, back to the devs! Welcome back, Travelers! And now, it's time once again for our annual high-brow segment Yep I wonder what unique folk instruments we'll get to hear at this year's Nod-Krai concert? Indeed Do you still remember the Natlan symphony concert from last year? Everyone was so pumped Yes And when you revisit the theme song after playing through the Archon Quest You'll start catching all the little clues and story beats we hid in there That's right I'm already picturing myself a year from now, back here, savoring this theme Absolutely To secure the best viewing experience for our Travelers Before the concert begins, we've asked our old friend Maestro Robert himself, to sneak us into the recording studio For a closer look Hi, everybody! Long time no see Today, I'm going to take you on the "Behind the Scenes" look at the music production for Genshin Impact, Nod-Krai Let's go take a look So it's really exciting for the LSO to be back recording some of Genshin's music I can hear in the headphones. There's a lot of kind of, Celtic instruments We have some different kinds of rhythms I'm sort of imagining a very, very different kind of landscape And I think it's going to be very, very exciting for the viewer to You know, play around with different things and just in a completely different sound world What a very clever writing these soundtracks always are So we've had a lot of, kind of exciting, energetic rhythmic stuff But we also had some really beautiful melodies We've got some folk instruments just in our cams at the moment So we haven't heard those live Yes, and we've been playing along with them And there's lots of, quite sort of folky melodies, and that's always really fun to play Welldone! Okay, yeah, yeah, all right, I'll be there. Okay, bye-bye Sorry, guys! But I have to go to Snezhnaya right away for some important business So I'm going to hand over to my good friend and great conductor, Ben Foster, for the live concert Best luck, Ben! Thanks, maestro. Really appreciate it Big shout-out to our HOYO-MiX team and the incredible musicians on stage Nod-Krai's soundtrack is as epic as I imagined The music immediately takes you to that distant land Indeed After you've experienced Nod-Krai's culture, landscapes, and Archon Quest Coming back and revisiting the concert Might produce new insights Hey, Aquaria Remember back in the Version 5.3 Special Program Ah? Yes We'll be sharing plenty more details in the future About Genshin Impact: Miliastra Wonderland Whether you're a creator bursting with wild ideas Or a Traveler looking to have a blast with friends Stay tuned for what's coming next Feels like we've really packed in a lot of content for everyone this time But I still have to ask, Aquaria I think this is something a lot of Travelers are curious about too I know the Genshin Impact team is always evolving And every year, you give us a little peek at your thoughts and plans for the future So, in a year of such big changes for Genshin Impact How are you feeling? Anything you'd like to share with the Travelers? What I want to talk about this year might be a little different from before Last year, I spoke from a development perspective and brought up the word "evolution" But this time I want to switch over to IP management, and share some of the ideas our team has always held onto Genshin Impact is set to be a long-running game We want this IP to last for ten, twenty years, and even longer And that means we have to keep our creative passion alive, always And that passion doesn't just come from our own beliefs It's also fueled by the ongoing support of Travelers, generation after generation Secondly It asks us to maintain originality in our creations For our team Independent creation and a fully realized, self-contained world are the core drivers that keep us growing Just like with many of HoYoverse's other series We develop independently while respecting each other's vision That's how we keep expanding the frontiers of the worlds we create And going forward, the Genshin Impact team will stay committed to this philosophy as well For sure As a game built for the long run On behalf of the entire Genshin Impact publishing team I truly hope we can continue accompanying every Traveler for many years to come Now that we're in our fifth year Looking back Our team and our players have weathered plenty of highs and lows together But no matter the obstacle We've always believed There is only one right way to overcome difficulties And that's remembering why we started And keep creating great content We're deeply grateful to every Traveler who's been with us Your passion, encouragement, and support are what drive us to keep creating We'll keep pouring our hearts into nurturing the beautiful world of Genshin Impact And finally Genshin Impact "Song of the Welkin Moon: Segue" version update arrives on September 10, 2025 Let's meet again in the mysterious, moon-bathed Nod-Krai Travelers See you in Nod-Krai! Welcome back! We made it! Now, that does mark the end of the Special Program But we know that was a lot of information It feels, kind of impossible to take it all in at once... And, I doubt I'm alone in feeling a bit... overwhelmed, haha Yeah, the Special Program team thought that might be the case So, that brings us to our second job here today! In this segment, we'll go over the main takeaways from today's Special Program So Travelers have a quick and concise overview of what to expect in Version Luna I Alright, I'm ready to summarize! Okay, let's start with Nod-Krai itself Right, so... Like the devs mentioned Nod-Krai lies on the edge of Teyvat And is more susceptible to Abyssal invasion because of it In fact, the whole region was once a wasteland because of these clashes with the Abyss But the merchants of Nod-Krai chose to rebuild from the ruins And that is how Nasha Town came to be Which should be the first place Travelers end up after venturing into Nod-Krai And, just like we talked about at the beginning of the program The "moon" is a major aspect of the Song of the Welkin Moon as a whole Under the influence of the moonlight Nod-Krai is filled with an ancient kind of elemental energy known as kuuvahki Yeah, and it looks like this power is indispensable to almost every facet of life in Nod-Krai That's right. And some people can even wield kuuvahki for themselves These characters have Moon Wheels, which are different from Visions Because their power comes from Teyvat's three moons Pretty cool And, with the power of kuuvahki Certain Nod-Krai characters can trigger unique Lunar reactions Exactly Ineffa introduced Lunar-Charged in Version 5.8 And, Lauma will introduce another new reaction — Lunar-Bloom That's right! Lauma is the Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions Which does make her a very important figure in the tribe Mmhmm She's the one her people look to for leadership and guidance As for her abilities, she can communicate with animals and transform into a deer! Plus, in combat, her Dendro Moon Wheel Allows her to convert Bloom reactions into Lunar-Bloom reactions Her Elemental Skill can decrease enemies' Dendro and Hydro Resistance Holding her Skill consumes Verdant Dew Which is created when team members trigger Lunar-Bloom reactions And grants her stacks of Moon Song Then, with her Elemental Burst, Lauma consumes her stacks of Moon Song to increase Lunar-Bloom reaction damage Sounds like she's a great support for Lunar-Bloom teams! Next, let's take a quick look at Flins In terms of first impressions... Flins comes off as a polite, dignified Lightkeeper with an almost... aristocratic air to him Of course, as a member of the Lightkeepers Flins fights for the safety of Nod-Krai Using the ancient power of his lantern to fend off the Wild Hunt In battle Flins' Elemental Skill infuses his Normal Attacks with Electro DMG that cannot be overridden Casting his Skill again will trigger a special Elemental Burst That deals Lunar-Charged DMG to enemies And, without needing to satisfy any conditions His normal Elemental Burst can directly deal Lunar-Charged DMG to opponents Which does makes him a strong addition to Lunar-Charged teams Let's go! Alright, let's move on to the last character coming in the new version Aino, from the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop, right? Yep! Aino is Ineffa's creator and the owner of the workshop She's also a genius inventor The massive cannon in Nasha Town used to fend off the Wild Hunt is her creation! Cool! But even geniuses have things they're not so good at... And, for Aino, well... Haha, that's uh... That's housework. So, Ineffa takes care of that for her That's nice In battle Aino's Elemental Skill allows her to use a gadget to launch forward Dealing AoE Hydro DMG to surrounding enemies Then, with her Elemental Burst Aino summons a water-spraying mechanism that periodically deals Hydro DMG to opponents Woah woah woah! You can't forget the most important thing! Ah, right! Near the beginning of the first act of the Archon Quest, A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves Travelers will have the chance to meet Aino And invite her to their parties In other words, Travelers can get her for free! That's right. And speaking of... Let's talk about how the dev team has revamped these quests With the goal of adding richer character development into the core narrative Cool This means In the upcoming Archon Quests, Travelers can look forward to more interactions With the three characters we just mentioned and the ones we'll meet in the future Allowing us to get to know them on a much deeper level Version Luna I is also bringing new content to the open world Travelers will have the chance to help the new characters, Flins, Lauma, and Aino Build Meeting Points in Nod-Krai At these Meeting Points, you can chat with characters whenever you feel like it And learn more about their lives by progressing certain events Yeah! It's kinda like Travelers' Tales, but a little more fleshed out! Now, The Damselette is another highly anticipated character I'm sure many Travelers have already picked up on her close connection to the moon And, Travelers will get to meet her very soon After venturing to Hiisi Island in the upcoming Archon Quest, Travelers will encounter The Damselette at a special time and place In this place, you can chat with her Accept commissions from her And receive her gifts Definitely something to look forward to! Now, let's give a quick refresher on the upcoming Event Wishes In the first half of Version Luna I, Travelers can look forward to event wishes from Lauma and Nahida As well as a Sumeru-centered Chronicled Wish banner And in the second half of the version, we'll have event wishes for Flins and Yelan! In addition, Aino will receive a drop rate boost on the second-half banners So don't miss out if you're interested! Alright, now let's talk anniversary rewards and system optimizations Starting with anniversary rewards... Travelers will receive Primogems ×1,600 in their in-game mailbox Along with a new robot kitten pet, aww, an in-game two-person lounge And a variety of enhancement materials There will also be a log-in event, where Travelers can earn a total of Intertwined Fates ×10 Along with other rewards like Resin and Mora, by logging in for seven days in a row And, of course, Travelers will get to choose a standard 5-star character of their choice And, this year, Yumemizuki Mizuki will be available as one of the options! There's also the free Aino obtainable through the Archon Quest So, that's two new characters Travelers can add to their roster for free! And, finally, initial top-up bonuses will be reset after the version update Now, let's check out the optimizations coming in the new version! Let's do it! First up are a few optimizations that should improve the adventuring experience Adventure EXP gained from exploration is being significantly increased For example, collecting Oculi will now grant Adventure EXP More tips will also be added to characters' trial run stages Yeah! And there are also a few optimizations geared towards veteran Travelers! Starting in Version Luna I Travelers will be able to obtain harvestable materials from the Battle Pass Making it easier to build and level characters The devs have also expanded the number of team lineups that can be saved Making it easier to have a team ready for any scenario There's also a big change coming to the Artifact system After obtaining a three sub-stat Artifact, Travelers will be able to check the hidden fourth sub-stat Which should make it a lot easier to decide if an Artifact has raising potential In addition Travelers will now be able to directly consume 40 Original Resin to claim rewards And, the recipe for crafting Condensed Resin will now cost 60 Original Resin All in all, this should give Travelers a break from constant Crystalfly farming! Wow Of course, these are just some of the optimizations coming in Version Luna I More information will be available across Genshin Impact's official accounts! Next up, let's go over a few perks coming in the new version First, when a new 5-star character or weapon receives a drop rate boost The corresponding Talent Ascension Material And Weapon Ascension Material Domains will be open every day for the next seven days Second, on top of the free standard 5-star Travelers will also receive materials to raise that character to Level 60 And, here's another major piece of news... In Version Luna I, once a 5-star character reaches their maximum Constellation level Additional Constellations obtained for them will be converted into Masterless Stella Fortuna Which is an item that can be used to raise characters past the level cap To a maximum of Lv. 100 For example If you have a standard 5-star at C6... You could select that same 5-star from the anniversary event Earn a Masterless Stella Fortuna, and use it to strengthen a different character! Plus, Travelers who have obtained excess Constellations in the past Will receive an equal amount of Masterless Stella Fortuna in their in-game mailbox during the new version Which will give certain Travelers The chance to start leveling their characters right away! Last but not least, Travelers can look forward to a new long-term event in Version Luna I To Temper Thyself and *Journey Far The objective is to reach weekly progress goals By completing Daily Commissions and spending Resin at least 5 days a week Across a 12 week period, or the duration of two versions Travelers can earn various rewards for their efforts, including Sanctifying Elixirs But most importantly, this event will give Travelers the chance to earn a Constellation for certain designated 5-star characters For more detailed information and event guidelines, keep an eye out for future announcements Of course, we've just scratched the surface of all the exciting content coming in Version Luna I There's so much more to discover in-game, so be sure to check it out when the update goes live!
