This Kanda has secrets of manifestation that are not there in the book secret. It's not there anywhere else and you'll understand why your manifestation is free. Those who know Brahmavidya can just change karma and laugh at all of the Alpulaliput dedictions. Usually we think consciousness is Shiva but here's a secret, inside is a Shakti. The Puranas are of three kinds Satvik, Rajasik and Tamasik.
The Siddha It's the one who always is so excellent that he or she can get success in everything that they do. Do you know that all men are basically female but with the cosmetic cover up on top? Nemi Vardhanam Ramonam.
And you send these praises to Brahma. Stay away. Brahma, please from your grace, send me a Nemi and he'll send you one. Namaste Guruji.
Namaste. Guruji, in the previous episode, we learned about Devi Mahatma and the glories of Devi. And starting from this episode, we'll be learning about the main chapters of Devi Bhagavatam itself, starting from the first Skanda.
Could you please explain what is the meaning of Skanda? So Skanda is a book within a book. An Adhya is a chapter, but the Skanda is actually a book. Devi Bhagavatam is 18 different books. Now we are starting on the first book.
And every book has a theme, you know, a certain thing that you have to learn. But if you don't learn that, then you shouldn't go to the next Skanda. So you have to really know this, understand it and then go to the next Skanda.
So that's how it is. So what we have to learn in this Skanda, we'll know by reading it as we're reading it. Okay. Eat Skanda as you're reading it. There will be some things, a theme which is running through the whole Skanda, because it's a book by itself.
And it's not written what is the Skanda about in the Devibhagavatam. But my Guru told me that you should start to catch the themes. So in English they translate Skanda as volume, but it's not a volume as you said, it's a book itself. Okay. So it's not volume one, volume two.
Alright. So... I don't know, here we are having about 20 stories and in these 20 stories you will get an idea of relationships, marriage, you'll also get an idea about children.
Why should I have children? Why shouldn't I have children? You will also get an idea about householders and their duties.
What is the duty of a householder? Grihasth. No teachings exist for the Grihasth, but it is there here, in this Kanda. Then also on how problems are solved.
by the gods. A powerful problem-solving method that the gods have will be revealed and you can use that and become a problem-solving machine just by reading this tab. Then you can read about manifestation.
This Kanda has secrets of manifestation that are not there in the book Secret. It's not there anywhere else. And you'll understand why your manifestations fail, why some of them work and some of them fail.
And you'll understand everything here. So there's a lot to learn. It's 20 chapters.
I don't know if we can finish everything today, but let's try to at least finish five of them properly. Because they're long stories. It takes time. So that's my goal. If you do more, good.
Okay, let's begin. You ready? Yes.
Om Sri Bhagwati Namaha. So, these are the questions that some of the Rishis have asked. which is being answered by suta who is the um what you call it the narrator of this puran okay so he's saying he's beginning this whole thing by i meditate on the beginning beginningless brahmavidya who is sarva chaitanya rupa of the nature of all consciousness so this means devi is called vidya because she has Gyana Shakti and the way to attain Devi is to follow your own desires.
If you follow your desire, then you will get the motivation to act on it. And if you take your desire seriously and you say that, no, I'm serious about this, this is going to happen no matter what, I'm going to make it happen. When you come to that kind of decision, you are awakening the Devi in you. Do you know that all men are basically female, but with the cosmetic cover up on top so it's because of the release of a lot of testosterone by the mother it washes the embryo until then the embryo is female and it has a vagina okay and when it gets washed the embryo gets washed it turns into a man so then what used to be the vulva stitches up and it becomes the scrotum and then the testicles are nothing but the ovaries descended down but because of the wash of testosterone for many days that child turns into a male so every male is built up of female parts so you have to understand that uh that's how it is so when we say awaken the devi in you the men are like there is a devi in you the basic form is devi on on top of that there is a male form okay and uh It's also there in all the Puranas. You'll come across Kumari or Kaumari, who is the female version of Kumara, who is Shanmuga or Subramanya, the son of Shiva and Parvati.
So, he has a female form. Indra has Indrani. These are the Ashtamatrikas. Shiva has Maheshwari. So that's the form of Shiva which is the Shakti within Shiva itself.
So even Shiva has Shakti inside him. Brahma has Brahmani. Indra has Indrani or Mahendriya is his partner.
So these are all the Ashtamatvikas of seven gods, male gods. And they have female forms. You will even find a female form of Hanuman, female form of Kanapati and the female form of many different Gods.
So, this is surprising. Female form of Vishnu is Mohini. Vaishnavi is also there.
Vaishnavi is actually the female form of Vishnu. Mohini is Avatara. So, like that.
We do not recognize the fact that Devi is in everyone. So, this is the beginningless Brahmavidya. So after Iccha there is Jnana, then there is Kriya sometimes or sometimes there is Kriya and then Jnana.
The warrior will do Kriya and Jnana. But the animal, the Pashu, the Veera is the warrior. But the animal, the Pashu will do first Jnana then only they want to do Kriya.
They'll not have the guts to do Kriya without the Jnana. They don't believe in learning on the way. You know somebody said entrepreneurship is jumping off a tall mountain and building the parachute on the way. That's the Veera's path. Veera will say, I don't care.
I'll get into it and then we'll figure it out. He'll learn it on the way. He's not scared. But he or she is not scared.
And then the parachute will say, let me know everything, then only I'll start. These are called the perfectionists, the procrastinators and the addicts. They get stuck in that.
They can't get out of it. They'll get addicted to something to avoid the work. I used to think addictions are a lack of connection. I got very influenced by that. That's not a lack of connection.
All addiction is avoidance. You're basically avoiding action on some kind because you don't have enough knowledge. You're waiting for the knowledge to come before you lack it.
But guess what? The knowledge of something comes when you act on it. The knowledge of swimming comes when you jump in the water.
You can't have the knowledge of swimming and then jump in the water. You would have to learn again. Yes.
So you're just procrastinating because you feel that you just don't have enough knowledge to swim in the water yet. And so people said, I'm so fascinated. They're going away from Devi because they're not getting the Vidya.
Devi gives you Vidya when you're a warrior. When you're a Veera, then Devi will give you Vidya. And there are enough Veeras I can teach how to be Divya, which is divine.
But now everybody's a Pashu. That's when my Guru called me Pashupati and he said, you go for some years and teach. And my Guru says, some years, I don't know how many years.
It's been 13 years already. I don't know how many years I have to teach. There are Viras. I can't teach any of the lesson of the Divya, the Divine.
How to be a Divine human being cannot be learnt until you are a warrior human being. On top of that body only, the Divine is built. So, that's the thing.
The Divine body of the human being doesn't need food, doesn't need food, doesn't need water and doesn't even need air. That's the Divine body of the human being. Siddhas descend into the Vira body so that they can take people from Pasha to Vira and then they help the Viras to ascend into Divya body, the divine body.
So this is the goal of Siddha Yoga. That's when you really know Devi. You know her Vidya.
She makes you an emperor and you know her Vidya then properly. But at least I have to stay in the Vira stage until I have enough people to become Vira. I cannot take a Divya body now.
So I have to eat, I have to drink water, I have to breathe. But when that goes away, you'll become like my Guru, Babaji. He goes only to Viras. He finds Viras, he trains them up, gives them a Divya body, then he removes the Divya body and sends the Viras back, like me.
Okay? So I have experienced the Divya body and it's very different. and evolve.
That's why he was talking about it like now. Because people are still avoiding. They're doing the jnana and the kriya. Jnana.
Let me get the jnana and then I'll do the kriya. It doesn't work like that. You do the kriya then you get the jnana.
That is vidya. That's what I mean by the beginningless brahmavidya. What is brahmavidya?
The vidya of manifestation. How you can take a desire and make it a reality. Boom. How do you do that? That's the vidya.
That's the secret. That's what everyone wants in this world. They want to learn manifestation. But they come to spirituality saying some crap like, I want moksha, I want to get out of this body. But when you look deep inside, it's because they don't know how to get what they want.
It's not like they don't have things they don't want. I've become tireless, I am Vairagya, I am free. You know the meaning of Vairagya?
It means that somebody who has not got any raga, which is a negative emotion, which is the Arishadvarga, the six emotions, anger, jealousy, greed, that kind of stuff. If you leave that, then you are a Vairagya. Doesn't mean you shouldn't have good emotions like motivation, ambition. Okay, all of those things even a Vairagya can have.
Just now they have made Vairagya as opposite of ambition. But Patanjali says that Vairagya is required for you to become a yogi, for you to have Samprajnath Samadhi, which means a permanent relaxation of your scalp and feet and you will be in the world, but you will be connected to Devi's knowledge all the time, like an antenna, like my antenna is always connected to Devi's knowledge. So, we need to come to that stage, that is Brahmavidya, then you know Brahmavidya.
And that Brahmavidya is the beginningless Vidya, because even time was created by the Brahmavidya and your new car is also going to get created by the Brahmavidya and your I don't know, your land that you want to buy is also going to be created by Brahmavidya. If you apply it properly, if you don't apply it properly, you'll become a victim of karma. Those who know Brahmavidya can just change karma and laugh at all of the astrological predictions.
This doesn't apply to them. You'll get out of outside of that because now Devi is supporting you. That's what we're trying to learn here.
Okay, so this chapter, I mean not this chapter, But this book, this Kanda, will give you all the knowledge of manifestation that you need. So take it very seriously. Sarva Chaitanya Rupa means every consciousness is her only.
Usually we think consciousness is Shiva, but here's the secret. Inside is the Shakti. Without Shakti, the consciousness doesn't have power.
Consciousness also has power. It's not inert. Consciousness has the Brahmavidya to make things.
So she is that also. That means the consciousness present in us is Devi. Where are we taking it?
Where are you taking your consciousness? It's Devi. Just stop taking it to places where you create bad feelings in yourself. You should not take your consciousness... Consider your consciousness Devi.
Where you put your mind is your divine responsibility. How you treat Devi is shown in what you think in your mind. Nobody sees it this way and therefore they continue to do blasphemy upon blasphemy By dipping Devi in through the shit that they call their mind. You should not take Devi there. It is absolute disrespect to have a negative thought that creates tension in your scalp and feet.
How do you know what is a negative thought? If it creates tension in your scalp and feet, you're dragging Devi in the mud. She doesn't appreciate. And Devi will just watch like this.
That's your expect for me. I see. Okay.
You should not be forgiving God. See like this. Okay. Done some rest.
And then your life starts to become a mess. When Devi leaves, only thoughts of killing yourself will give. That's because you dragged your consciousness through the mud.
You ask anybody who's saying I'm having a bad time. So how are your thoughts? Are you having some really good thoughts of learning how to get out of your problem?
No, no. Where are they dragging their thoughts? And how big the problem is and how I can't solve it.
Why you can't solve it? Yes, it's written in Brahmavidya. So learn it.
You can solve it. Don't drag your mind through the mud. Become serious about learning about this and say, No wonder I don't have any dissonance in my life.
Because I am bragging Devi through the mud everyday. Because she is Sarvachaitanya Swabhi. Sarvachaitanya Rupa. Now we say, may she stimulate our buddhi.
This is a prayer. buddhim yaanah kachodaya means Sarvachaitanya Rupam tamadhyam Devi chadhimahi, the beginningless, sarvachaitanya rupa, I seek your light. So you can tell Devi, I seek your light and let it flood through my body.
That's the translation in English. You just use that. Say to Devi, I seek your light. and please let it spread through my body. And you are actually saying our bodies.
You are praying for whole humanity, the whole of humanity. Pray like this. Okay?
This is a very good prayer to do every day to Devi. Say, let your light flow through all of us. It's a wonderful prayer to do.
Let me be aware of where I drag you. Let me be conscious. Let me live a conscious life.
How nice it is when you feel it. I will not dishonour you, Devi. I will not take you through the mud ever again.
I will not take my consciousness to a place where I feel fear, I feel hatred, I feel anger, I feel weakness. I won't have any of these things. I will be as Raudra as I need to be and as Sowmya as I need to be. With the highest of the people, I will be Saumya. With the worst of the people, they will see Radhra.
You tell Devi all this. You pray like this. And you let this light pass through every single human being.
And animals and plants and everything. Consciousness is everywhere, right? Animals have consciousness. Plants have consciousness.
Let Devi flow. Let the light of Devi flow through all of you. I don't want the consciousness of this world to be dragged in the mud.
It's a dishonor to you, Devi. So please give me your grace because I don't have the power to do this. And you leave it to Devi. You say, this is my intention.
This is my intention. I don't know how to do it. I've already got into Kriya Shakti. I'm asking you. I don't know how to do it.
But I know that in my limited human body, I can't do this. In your gracious divine body, you can do anything. So you do this.
You have been everyone. Why are you dragging them through places that are not honourable for you? Let us have only the spiritual emotion. That doesn't mean that you will be quiet.
You have Radhra, you have Bhayanaka also, you have Karunya also, where you can be kind, compassionate, loving, caring. And you have Sringara also, where you can become erotic. Let these all expressions of you come through me. It is enough to live my life as a Bhira. And it is enough for everyone to live their life as a Bhira.
Bless us all, O Dev. That's the ask. And then you say, protect this whole earth from Kali.
He has many planets to dance upon. Here, we'll protect it. And then you pray like that. This is Babaji's ambition. He wants to protect the whole world from Kali.
That's for Panth. And see what happens. But Kali has to be a Lord because it's Kali. His five places he can stay. But inside you should not be a Lord.
Inside a human being. So this is the prayer. So this Na can change to anybody, you know.
Yana Prachodaya. Because Naha can be however big you want to make it. Can be even your family. Say, protect all of us. Can be just you and your employees or you and your students or whatever.
So, you can pray in whatever way you want. So, anyway, this is a fun project to see. what human intelligence is capable of doing without the influence of Kali.
This book is a Kalyug survival manual. So, I just want to see what that is. So, I am throwing a really big wheel. And we learn about the Nemi also in this chapter.
It's a really big wheel of silver light which came out of Brahma's third eye to protect people. And this one, if you pray to Brahma, And you say these words, Nemi Vardhanam Namo Namaha. You have to say it four times.
Nemi Vardhanam Namo Namaha. Nemi Vardhanam Namo Namaha. Nemi Vardhanam Namo Namaha. And you send these praises to Brahma. And say, Brahma, please from your grace, send me a Nemi.
And he'll send you one. When he sends you one, it'll... circle around you and it's a white light, silver light.
So I see it like a band, a big band. It's as big as many buildings and it's a big band around the horizon in which Kali cannot enter. So I keep mine 20 kilometers, 25 kilometers wide. The horizon is that one.
I keep it all the way to the horizon. So it's approximately that, 20 to 25 kilometers wide. So, when I see this, I just see this all around me, I can feel it.
You can't feel it unless you relax your soles and your scalp. Relax your soles and your scalp whenever you do these meditative practices. And it will help with any meditative practice. Keep your soles and your scalp relaxed because the soles of your foot draw energy from the earth and the toe draws energy from the iron sphere.
So you start drawing this energy. When you are drawing this energy, you can see. You can see the Nemi all around you. There is a good flow of energy in you.
You will be able to recognize the force field that is there everywhere. It stops the dance of Kali, right? Kali does stupid things, right?
But Kali hasn't yet found any warriors who will fight him. So that's what this book is about. to be read in Kali Yuga.
People have to learn how to war with this thing that's there. The whole frame of where are we has to be clear when you read Devi Bhagwan. We are in a world made out of the fat of Madhu and Taitam. You'll read about it.
And it's so evil. The earth loves evil. Some evil things that happen.
Because it's Asura fan that the earth is made of. So, I mean, she's loving and all that. She wants creda, she wants that sword of bloodthirsty war. She wants to see it all the time.
That's why there's so much war and fighting. And there's nothing wrong with it. But people think there's something very wrong with it.
We have to stop it. And those are the guys who are against Devi. Who keep on shouting that, you know, we're somehow not, we're going to be able to stop war on this planet.
You don't understand, the planet only wants it. It's the eternal fight between good and evil in this planet. It's so entertaining.
That's why people come here. We want to be born here. We fight to be born here.
Then after we're born here, we get this Thamesnoddy education of Kali. And once we have this education, we think that war itself is wrong and it shouldn't be done. So then what happens? The war becomes cultural.
Now the war is cultural. It's going on and on and on. It's making you stupid and stupid and stupid.
It's making you feel that you're not a divine being. But when you read this chapter, you'll understand your origin. You know where you came from. So let's continue.
So Shanak, one of the rishis, is saying, O highly fortunate Sutta, O noble Sutta, you are the best of persons, you are blessed, and you have thoroughly studied all the auspicious Puranas. You are sinless, you have gone through the 18 Puranas composed by Krishna Dwapayan. and that's the name of Ved Vyas, Krishna Dwapayan.
These are endowed with five excellent characteristics and full of esoteric meanings. Now, we read this and then we read Devi Bhagavatam, but we're not looking where's the esoteric meaning. We're just reading the outward meaning. It is said here that it's full of esoteric meanings. Okay.
Yeah. O sinless one, it is not that you have read them like a parrot, but you have thoroughly grasped the meaning of them all, as you have learnt them from Vyasa himself, the son of Satyabhati. Now it is our good merits that you have come at this divine, holy, excellent Vishwasan Kshetra, free from any defects of the Kali eight.
So this is a place where you are assured. This is called Nemisharanya, this place. This is free from the defects of Kali. Because anything that Kali likes to live is not allowed in here. Like alcohol, prostitution, adultery, gambling and gold.
These are the things not allowed inside Nemusharanya. Because Kali can stay in these. These are the places that Kali can stay.
Oh Sutta, these munis assembled here are desirous to hear the holy Purana Samhita that heals religious merits. So describe this to us with your mind concentrated. Oh all-knowing Sutta, live long and be free from the threefold sorrows of existence.
Oh highly fortunate one, narrate to us the Purana equivalent to the Vedas. So I'll not go into what are the threefold sorrows of existence right now. This has become very long.
We can speak about it some other time. O Sutta, the persons that do not hear these Puranas are certainly deprived by the Creator. Though they have apparently the organ of hearing, the power of tasting, the sweet essence of words, because the organ of hearing is gratified then, and only then when it hears the words of wise men.
Just as the organ of taste is satisfied only when it tastes the six kinds of rasas. So, there are six kinds of tastes. Rasa means taste.
The serpents that are void of the organ of hearing are enchanted by sweet music. Then why should not those persons that have the organs of hearing be averse to hearing the Puranas? Why should not the persons that have the organs of hearing but are averse to hearing the Puranas be thrown under the category of the deaf? So he is saying, if you are not interested to hear the Purana, you are deaf. O Saumya, Saumya means gentle one, hence all those Brahmins being distressed with the fear of this Kali, have come here to this Naimisharanya, eager to hear attentively the Puranas, and are staying here with this one object.
Time must be spent away anyhow or other. Those that are fools, while their time is spent, in evil practices and those that have learned pass away their times in meditating on the Shastras. Here the word is Krida and other evil practices.
Krida means lot of competition and lots of ups and downs, drama. So the saying you don't need to participate in this drama. Yeah, so those are the learned pass away their time in meditating on the Shastras. But the Shastras are too vast and too very varied.
They contain Jalpas, which are debates or wrangling discussions to win over the opposite party. Vadas, which are just doctrines to arrive at conclusions. And various Atharvadas, explanations and assertions, recommending methods or precepts by stating them.
the good arising from its proper observance and evil arising from its omission. So that is Atharvadas. And also by adducing historical instances for support, praises and eulogies. So the Atharvadas will tell you why that Vada is good. And so these are filled with many argumentations and amongst these Shastras again the Vedanta is the Satvik, the Mimamsa is the Rajasic and the Nyaya Shastras with Hethu Vedas are the Tamasic.
So the Shastras are varied. We are getting an idea of how much of literature is there. Similarly, the Puranas are of three kinds, Satvik, Rajasic and Tamasic.
Oh Samya, you have recited those Puranas endowed with the five characteristics and full of the many narratives of these. The fifth Purana, which is equivalent to the Vedas, This Purana is equivalent to the Vedas and with the good qualities yields Dharmak and Kama and gives Moksha to those who desire for emancipation and it is wonderful. You mentioned this before but ordinarily you did not dwell on this specifically. Now we Brahmanas are eager to hear gladly this divine auspicious Bhagavata, the best of the Puranas. So kindly describe this in detail.
And here, Brahmana is not a caste, it is the deeds that these people do, which is study the Vedas. O knower of Dharma, by your faith and devotion to your Guru, you have become sattvic and thus have thoroughly known the Purana Samhita spoken by Ved Vyasa. O omniscient one, therefore, it is that we have heard many Puranas from your mouth, but we are not satisfied. as the Devas are not satisfied with the drinking of the nectar.
O Sutta, fie to the nectar even, as the drinking of the nectar is quite useless in giving mukti, but hearing the Bhagavata gives instantaneous mukti from this samsara, or round of birth and death. O Sutta, we perform thousands and thousands of yagnas for the drinking of the nectar, Amrita, but we never got full peace. The reason being that the yagnas led to heaven only. On the expiry of the period of Punya, the heavenly life ceases and one is expelled, as it were, from the heavens. Thus, incessant travels in this wheel of Samsara, the constant rounds of births and deaths never end, or knower of everything.
Thus, without Jnana, Mukti never comes to men, wandering in this wheel of time, Pala Chakra, which is composed of the Gunas. So, Describe this holy Bhagavata, always beloved of the Mumukshas, those that desire Mukti. This secret work, yielding liberation, holy and full of all the sentiments, which is Rasas. Okay, so this is the first chapter and they're asking him to describe this one and it talks a lot about Mukti and Mumuksha. Mumuksha is a desire.
for you to be free from this cycle of birth and death. You know what happens in the cycle of birth and death? We take a birth, we get enchanted by something and then we try our best to go there.
So basically we are trying to become little practicing Brahmans here. We want to create something. But when we fail at that, we disintegrate this body and we die. That's what happens.
That's what death is. So Siddha is the one who always is so excellent that he or she can get success in everything that they do. And they do it again and again.
Again the little Brahmas creating things. Okay. So they see themselves as little creators knowing Brahmavidya to create things.
And that is called liberation. But people think liberation is some very passive dhammatic state. It's a very sattvic state in which you will be always controlling things.
That is sattva. Sattva is control. Control engineering is sattva. Sattva is what we need because people desiring tamasic states will get it.
They'll go into a hell where nothing is happening and they'll think they got mukti. After a long time they'll get a desire that I need to be free of this. This is boring.
It'll take them millions of years to realize that it's boring. Everyone who has gone and tried to get mukti when they were dead end up in this hell where they don't know anything. There's nothing happening. There's nothing to see. There's just consciousness, but nothing to be conscious of.
They can't even have a thought. They can't even have the thought like I'm saying now, that there's nothing to be conscious about, because that's something to be conscious of, that you can think that. No, there's nothing. You can't grasp onto anything. You're thrown into this pinky darkness, like you just can't recognize anything, can't feel anything, can't smell anything, can't see anything, can't hear anything.
Imagine this state. That's what people are asking for in the name of Mukti. So it's time to be scared of that bullshit idea of Mukti.
Be very scared of it. And understand that Mukti comes when you're continuously creating things. You can change your body to a Virabodhi. You can change your body then to a Divya body. You change your body to a Divya body, you can continue to be a Siddha.
Siddhas in a Divya body are called Mahasiddhas. But even a siddha goes on creating, even as the vira state. It's practice. When you become enough of a vira, then you'll have power to be the vira. You have to go on practicing.
That is called mukti. So for the lovers of mukti, this is the book. Not for the lovers of obsolescence.
We don't know how bad is obsolescence. You put these guys. into a sense deprivation chamber and take them out after one hour.
They don't want absolusence anymore. But even in there, they just couldn't sense things but they were busy with their mind. Busy, busy, busy with their mind. They can't stop.
Something and all will be going on. But a Siddha is not busy with his or her mind. There's nothing going on at all. Because you understand this is Devi. I'm going to keep her in a glorious place.
Your mind is always in a good mood. You can't spoil the mood of a Siddha, no matter what you do. Even if he's yelling at you, he'll be in a good mood.
And when he gets what he wants because of the yelling, he'll be relaxed. He doesn't have to take time to... Because he never got upset in the first place. The body chemistry is still parasympathetic if a Siddha is yelling. and that's the magic of the Veda body it is not an ordinary human body so the same medical rules don't apply to it this body is also less affected by toxins and radiation and everything it's completely different okay so when you achieve the Veda body you'll look like a Veda you won't look like a victim at all you won't be able to make those eyes of a victim it is not possible I just can't.
Can't wait. So, a lot of time you had to spend looking in the mirror and learning. Now, we move to Chapter 2. And more questions by Sharnak and the Rishi.
So, Sudha's reply. I am highly fortunate. I consider myself blessed and I am purified by the Mahatmas. Inasmuch, I am questioned by them about the highly meritorious Purana famous in the Vedas. I will now speak in detail about this Purana, the best of the Agamas, approved by all of the Vedas and the secret of all the Shastras.
So here is the word Agama. And Agama means the stream of knowledge that is accessible to you when your scalp and your feet are relaxed. And there is shanti in your left foot, in your right foot and on top of your head. There is a different field of knowledge available to you which is called Agama.
So Vyasa used to tune in like this and he would write all the stories as Agama. That's how he got it. So this is praised as the best of the Agamas, Devi, Devi Bhagavata. Everything that came out was revealed. This is the best of the revelations.
O Brahmans, I bow down to the gentle lotus feet known in the three lokas of the Devi Bhagavati, praised by Brahma and all the other Devas, Vishnu, Maheshwara and others, meditated always by the Samsara. by the Munindras and which the yogis contemplate as their source of liberation. Today, I will devotedly describe in detail and in plain language that Puranas, that Purana, which is the best of the Puranas, which gives prosperity and contains all the rasas that a human being can conceive, the Srimad Devi Bhagavatam.
So here, rasa is not taste, it's different emotions. you bring into your life, the different flavors you bring into your life. And they are the Navarasa's, which is described by Bharata in his Natya Shastra. May the highest primal Shakti, who is known as Vidya in the Vedas, who is omniscient, who controls the innermost of all, and who is skilled in cutting off the knot of the world, who cannot be realized by the wicked and the vicious but who is visible to the munis in their meditation may that bhagwati devi give me always would be fit to describe the puranas he's made a prayer to devi and you can make this player too well you you ask shakti to always give you the buddhi fit to do whatever you have to do dhyana shakti keep your scalp relaxed the soul's rightness baby give me the buddhi to give you she'll give you intelligence to be able to perceive and handle the situation okay i call to my mind the mother of all the worlds who creates this universe whose nature is both real and unreal she preserves and destroys by her rajasic sattvic and tamasic qualities and in the end resolves all these into herself and plays alone in the period of dissolution.
At this time I remember that mother of all the worlds."So he is calling to the mother by describing what she does. She creates everything inside and outside unreal and real and then she preserves it and then she destroys it and then she... She takes it back into herself. And that is a period of dissolution. That is where she exists as Nirguna Brahma. And that is who he is playing to, the formless Devi. When you see all this and then you feel that dissolution inside yourself, you can also contact her. But you have to relax your scalp and your feet. It is commonly known that Brahma is the creator of this universe. and the knowers of the Vedas and the Puranas say so. But they also say that Brahma is born of the navel lotus of Vishnu. Thus it appears that Brahma cannot create independently. Again, Vishnu, from whose navel lotus Brahma is born, lies in Yoga sleep on the bed of Ananta, the thousand-headed serpent, in the time of Pralaya. So how can we call Bhagavan Vishnu, who rests on a thousand-headed serpent Ananta, as the creator of the universe? Again, The refuge of Ananta is the water of the ocean, Ekarnava. A liquid cannot rest without a vessel. The ocean on which Ananta lies is called Ekarnava. A liquid cannot rest without a vessel. So I take refuge in the mother of all beings, who resides as the Shakti of all and thus is the supporter of all. I fly for refuge unto that Devi who was praised by Brahma while resting on the navel lotus of Vishnu who was lying fast in Yoga Nitra. Now we have to realize Devi is all around us as energy. But energy is not a thing. You can't hold energy in your hand. Energy is something we receive. It is so ephemeral. It's magical. We receive it and then we use it to do work and then we receive it and then we use it to do work. and we are thinking that there is no God. God is that invisible part of your daily life without which... You have no existence. So that's what we need to understand and recognize. And we're talking to each other now over magic. Magic, how am I talking to you? Where are the wires connecting my computer to yours? Nothing. It's not even telephone. It's glued to the sky and it's coming back to you in an instant. So many calculations made. So it gives the illusion that it's instant. It's not instant. takes time but still they're doing something and it's amazing right yes that's devi people are like whoa this is the nirguna i mean the nirguna shakti it's a field of energy we live in a field of energy everything is energized by a field of energy that's devi okay So I call to my mother, the mother of all worlds. Okay, that's done. It's commonly known that, that's also done, the refuge of Ananta. Okay, so I take refuge in the mother of all beings who resides as the Shakti of all and thus is the supporter of all. I fly for refuge onto that Devi who was placed by Brahma while resting on the navel in the lotus of Vishnu, who was lying fast in Yoga Nitra. O Munis, meditating on that Maya Devi who preserves... and destroys the universe who is known as composer of the three gunas and who grants mukti i now describe the whole of the puranas and you all better hear the purana srimad bhagwat is excellent and holy eighteen thousand pure shlokas are contained in it bhagwan krishna dvayapayan has divided this book into twelve auspicious khandas and three hundred and eighteen chapters 20 chapters compose the first skanda, 12 chapters in the second skanda, 30 chapters in the third skanda, 25 chapters in fourth skanda, 35 in the fifth, 31 in the sixth, 40 in the seventh, 24 in the eighth, 50 chapters in the ninth, 13 in the tenth, 24 in the eleventh, and 14 chapters are contained in the twelfth skanda or munis. Thus, the Dwapayan Muni has arranged his chapters in each skandha. Thus the Mahatma Ved Vyasa has divided this Bhagavad Purana into so many skandhas and into so many chapters and that the number of verses is 18,000. It is already stated that it is denominated as a Purana which contains the following five characteristics. All Puranas contain these five characteristics. It talks about the creation of the universe, then the secondary creation sarga visarga dynasties vamsha manvantaras and the description of manu's and other kin kings okay it's called uh vamshanu charitra vamshanu charitra is the description of so you are getting your lineage your divine lineage where you came from to read this book we'll get it okay shiva is beyond prakritic attributes eternal and ever omnipresent she is without any change he is she is without any change immutable unattainable but by yoga she is the refuge of the universe her nature is turiya chaitanya okay so he's talking about devi only says that she has no attributes she's eternal and ever omnipresent and she is without any change immutable that means cannot be changed unattainable except by yoga so here's the here's the value of yoga inside sanatan if you're not practicing yoga you'll never know devi so that's how that's the status of yoga it's really high okay so she is the refuge of the universe her nature is Turiya Chaitanya. What is Turiya Chaitanya? The fourth consciousness, the super consciousness. It is conscious of the waking world, it is conscious of the dreaming world and it's conscious of the world of imagination at once. So these three, it's conscious at once, that's called a Turiya Avasthi. So that's her nature, that's Devi's nature, to be conscious of all sides of everything. So when you reach Duryavastha, you see all sides of everything of everything. And you know the causation behind this event. And then you can step in there and change the course of things. Because you understand everything. In Duryavastha. And the whole goal of yoga has to be in this auspice. Mahalakshmi is her sattvic shakti. Saraswati is her rajasic shakti. And Mahakali is her tamasic shakti. And these are all feminine forms. So, till now we don't know the gender of Devi. But when we see her shaktis coming out, then we know that she is female. She creates what she identifies as first. And these are the Devi's, three different Shaktis that run the universe. And it is Rajasik, Satvik and Tamasik. It's all over, it's everywhere. And it's just one Devi, which appears in three forms, three fundamental forms. The assuming of bodies by these three Shaktis, for the creation of this universe is denominated as sarga so these shaktis assumed bodies they look like human beings but with extra hands they have bodies it's not an energy okay you can really meet kali and i have really met kali in her human form so this tamasic shakti comes in her human form and the satvik shakti lakshmi i have never had the fortune to meet her and there is the Rajasik Shakti Saraswati. Also, I met her in her dream. And she agreed that she will, I will give her, I told her, if I give you a place on my tongue, will you sit? And she said yes. And she sat on my tongue. That's what happened. That's how, Yogis go and learn things. If Saraswati is sitting on your tongue, then you can know anything. If you put your tongue connected to your brain, Saraswati will go to your brain and then you can do anything. So this is a gift given to me when I met the actual physical body of Saraswati. So everything has a body. Everyone has a body and that's called Sarga. And the further resolution of these three Shaktis into Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesha for the creation, preservation and destruction of the universe is denominated in this Qur'an as Pratisarka, second creation. So Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are just these, like I told you about babies, right? How the embryos turn into male, like that with a wash of energy, she changed, she turned into male She made a copy of herself and turned that into me. And that is Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. And they also have physical bodies. Okay? That's Pratisarga. The descriptions of the kings of the solar and lunar dynasties and the families of Hiranya, Kashyapu and others is known as Vamshanu Charitra. Vamsha is known as Vamsha. The descriptions are kings of the Surya and Chandra dynasties. They all descended from the Sun and the Moon. So from a divine source they became humans. And the families of Hiranyakashipur and other kings is known as Vamsha. The description of Swayambhuva, Swayambhu Manu. and other Manus and their ruling periods is known as Manavantaras. So those are the first humans. And the description of their descendants is known as Vamsanu Charitra, which is the description of their families. Thus there are five characteristics in every Purana. O best of Munis, all the Puranas are endowed with these five characteristics. So, is Mahabharata written by Ved Vyasa, characterized by these five things? This is known as the fifth Veda and Nityahasa. In the Mahabharata are more than one lakh shlokas. That is a question. So, what are those Puranas? How many verses are contained in each? Speak all these in details in this holy Kshetra. We, the residents of Namisharanya, are all very eager to hear this. Why we call ourselves as residents of Naimishwaranya? You will realize. that no other place exists in this Kali age for hearing the holy discourse on religion. So if you want to give a holy discourse on religion, you have to create an emissary, which is what I have done. And then I can give holy discourses, otherwise it will not come. Kali will take over and then it will get distorted. Okay. So people who don't know the secret of Nemi, which I taught so openly, they've started cults, they've started all sorts of organizations. without knowing Nemi. You go and ask them, do you know what Nemi is? They don't know. They don't know. So, they don't know Nemi, how can they teach Devi Bhagavatam or any Bhagavatam or anything, any religion? They can't teach. Good. Free of Kali, they can't teach. Kali will come there and put something there. That's the problem. So, you'll get distorted. You will realize that no other place exists in this Kali age for the hearing the holy discourse on religion. When we were afraid of the Kali age, Brahma gave us Manomaya Chakra, the wheel that came out of here. And said to all of us, follow this wheel, go after it. And the spot where the felly of the wheel, the nemi, will become thin and will not roll any further. That country is the holy place. Kali will never be able to enter there. So you all better remain there until the Satya age comes back. Satya Yuga. Thus, according to the sayings of the Brahmahs, we have got order to stay here. On hearing the words of Brahmah, we went out quickly, keeping the wheel go on. Our object being to determine which place is best and holiest. When we came here, the felly of the wheel became thin and shone before my eyes. Hence, this Kshetra is called Naimisha. It is the most sanctifying place. It means blessed by the wheel. Kali cannot enter here. Hence the Mahatmas, Munis and Siddhas, terrified by the Kali aid, have followed me and resorted to this place. We have performed Yajnas with ghee here. No animals are sacrificed here. Now we have no other important work to do except to pass our time here until the arrival of Satya Yuga. So we are extremely fortunate in respects that you have come here. Purify us today by narrating to us the names of the Puranas equivalent to the Vedas. So the Puranas, all of these Puranas are equivalent to the Vedas. All these 18. If you read any one of them, you'll have the knowledge of the Vedas. But you should know what you're reading. A guru should teach you. Then you'll have all the knowledge in the Vedas. Oh Sutta, you are a learned orator. We too are ardent listeners. With no other works to bother our heads. So this is the quality of a listener. You should have no other work to bother your head. Narrate to us the auspicious holy Bhagavad Purana. O Sutta, long live you with no ailings, internal or external, or from Devas tormenting you. This is our blessing to you. We have heard that in the most sanctifying Purana, narrated by Maharshi Vaipayana, all about Dharma, Artha, are truly described, as well as the acquiring of Tattva Gyan and liberation are also spoken of. O Sutta, our desires are not satisfied even after listening to the four Puranas. The more we hear of those beautiful words, the more desire we have. Now, describe to us the highly pure Srimad Devi Bhagavatam, where all the Leelas, the dramatic acts of the Mother of the three worlds, Purifying the sins, adorned with all the qualifications are described as yielding all the desires, like the Kalpa Brixha, the celestial tree that yields all desires. So now they have asked for this and I described this and they know that this is a celestial tree that gives you all desires, if you read this Purana. So it's not that they're building up this Purana so that you'll read it, it's that it's really true.
