The Sound of Shaytan

The sound of shaytan. A statement that Abu Bakr used when he described music. Prophet didn't say to Abu Bakr, where did you get this from? Music is not shaytan. Music is good. Listen to music. He didn't say that. And Nabiullahi Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam If something is said in his presence and it is wrong, he would be the first to correct it. Killing, drugs, prostitution. Modern day studies have showed correlation between it and music. Shaytan's voice is what? music when you are listening to that music and you're nodding to it and you're jumping up you're listening you're enjoying the sound of shaitan alhamdulillah And in the Seerah of our Messenger ﷺ, the biography of the Prophet ﷺ. And we were talking about the Prophet ﷺ's relationship with our mother Aisha, how they both were towards each other. How gentle and soft the Prophet was towards his wife Aisha. And Al-Imam al-Bukhari and also Muslim, both of them narrated in their Sahih on the authority of Aisha herself. That she said, The Prophet, he entered the house. Whilst Aisha was in the house, she said the Prophet entered the house. And I had two servants, both of which were singing. Each of them was singing. Both of the Jariyah were singing for me. And they were singing the song of the day of Buath. We spoke about the day of Buath. It was a battle that took place between... the two tribes of Ous and Khazraj. So there was a song in which they were singing related to that fight. Those two were Jariyah. The Prophet when he entered and he saw them two singing, the Prophet he walked by, he lied on his bed, and he turned his head away from Aisha and he went to sleep. He wanted to go to sleep. Abu Bakr entered. When Abu Bakr entered, he rebuked his daughter. He told her off. He told Aisha off. He said to her, Are you going to listen to music, songs of Shaytan? And on top of that, are you going to do it in the presence of the Prophet? You're going to listen to this song and you're going to do it in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ. فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُ The Prophet, he looked at Abu Bakr and he said to him, دَعْهُمَا Leave them, don't stop them. And it was a day of Eid in which that day Aisha, she said, it was a day of Eid. where the Abyssinians were playing on their spears. Outside they were playing on their spears. The Prophet, he said to me, do you want to watch what they are doing? And she said, of course, our Messenger of Allah, I do. I want to watch it. What the Prophet ﷺ did was, he took her and he and her were watching it together. The said, my cheek and the Prophet's cheek were next to each other. And we were watching the Abyssinians playing on their spears and the Prophet was saying carry on oh the people of Arfad and he was he was enjoying this with his beloved wife Aisha and when she enjoyed enough he said Do you want to stop it here? The said yes. And that's when she stopped watching it. So there's a lot to unpack from this story. There's a lot to take from. First of all, the point that we mentioned the story for is how the Prophet ﷺ was with his wife. We have to take a lot of things in. Nabi Muhammad ﷺ, he has so much responsibility, so much things that he has to cater and do. But he has time for his wife who wants to just watch a play. And he is doing that because she wants it. And this amazes a person how Nabi Muhammad was a mercy. This is before Hollywood and Bollywood. This is before humans started to... Way before all of that. This is in the middle of the desert where women have no rights. They were buried alive. The context you have to understand. And he was like this. Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Another thing that we take from the story. Is how important it is. That a father. Talks to his daughter. About her marriage. That if he sees that she might do something. That may cause her marriage. He sees that his daughter is going astray. That he reminds her and says. Dad don't do this. Don't upset your husband. Don't harm this marriage. Fear Allah in this. That's the role of the parent to keep this marriage going in good. And not play a role where they divide, destroy the marriage. That this is your child, so you're always on their side. Tell your daughter to fulfill the rights of her husband. To do as is upon her. And if there's something you feel that the brother is falling short on now, tell him without the presence of your daughter. Talk to him privately. Say, uncle, maybe these things, inshallah, be gentle on. Maybe observe these things. But I've told her to listen to you and I've told her, inshallah, to fulfill her obligations. And that's what you tend to find from the story that we mentioned last week. That Umar, radiallahu anhu, what did he say to his daughter Hafsa? Fear Allah in your relationship with the Prophet. Do you not fear that a verse will come down on you and your situation and how you are towards the Prophet? So this is also another benefit that we take, that we find from Al-Shaytanah, Abu Bakr and Umar. Both of them, how they are talking to their daughters. And we also took another story last week where Abu Bakr scolded his daughter. that the Prophet had to stop him and say don't get angry at Aisha and we spoke about that story last week. Another benefit that we take from here is a statement that Abu Bakr used when he described music. He called music Mismar al-Shaytan. And the Prophet didn't correct him. He called music the sound of Shaytan. And the Prophet didn't say to Abu Bakr, where did you get this from? Music is not Shaytan. Music is good. Listen to music. He didn't say that. And Nabi Muhammad, if something is said, if something is said in his presence, and it is wrong, he would be the first to correct it. He will never watch a munkar, an evil done in his presence, and he will approve of it. No, he wouldn't. He wouldn't even delay the clarification. تأخير البيان في وقت الحاجة لا يجوز في حقه صلى الله عليه وسلم Delaying clarification at the time it's needed. The Prophet will never do that. He'll clarify it. from the things that we can say that is from the sunnah is whatever was done in the prophet's presence and he did not disagree with it like something was done the sahabas did something in his presence and he did not correct it he didn't say anything about it we can say that this is permissible even if the prophet didn't say or do it this is considered a what an approval a consent from the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and my brothers Modern day studies have showed The correlation between many violences, many crimes, a correlation between it and music. That's what they found. There are a lot of crimes, killing, drugs, prostitution, many things that are haram and even illegal. They found a correlation between it and music. And subhanAllah, a lot of people who even commit crimes of killing others in Western countries like England and other countries will tell you we listen to music. Not only do they listen to music, they listen to a certain type of music in which drives them to commit this crime. This then really... proves the Nusus, the Quran and the Sunnah that music is something to stay away from. There's been studies that were done that showed that music increases depression and anxieties and it also increases people having split personalities not as a medical condition but as living double life. And this is something Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said, it's not authentically attributed to the Prophet. لَكِنْ إِنَّ الْغِنَى يُنبِتُ فِي الْقَلْبِ النِّفَاقِ That music, it brings in the heart hypocrisy. It brings about hypocrisy, that you become something in public versus something in private. Let's take some of the evidences from the Quran and what the Quran said about this issue. Because a lot of people here are youngsters, go to school, colleges, universities, and this is a lot of the places where people hear about music. So let's inshaAllah ta'ala mention some of the verses that have come regarding this. And what I want you to look at inshaAllah ta'ala or pay attention to is the music that that time that these ayats were speaking about, that they were listening to versus the music today. Who's filth now. Khubth. Are we all together? And of course I'm referring to the English. I do not know in any other language. I'm referring to specifically the English language. It's filth. The people who do it, it's full of filth. And it's also full of what? Indecent things. So let's take some of the ayat and the hadith that have come regarding this. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala He said, pay attention to this وَمِنَ النَّاسِ From amongst the people are those This is the 6th verse in Surah Al-Luqman Surah Al-Luqman, Ayah 6 Allah says وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ From amongst the people are those who buy يَشْتَرِي لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ They buy لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ لَهْوَ الْحَدِيثِ That's the word So from amongst the people are those who buy لَهُ الْحَدِيثِ That's what they buy. Why do they buy it? لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ To misguide from the path of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ With no knowledge. وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًا And they take it as a form of mockery. Allah says أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِيمٌ For those people is a what? A A punishment that will humiliate them so now what we want to know is this verse it mentions that a group of people are going to receive a humiliated punishment who are these people then it's the people who what it is those people it's the people who are buying so we as soon as we read the verse and we see this verse and what it mentions at the end, we then take the verse to As Rasool Allah. First we look at if the Quran explained itself, if we don't find that, we then look at if the Prophet explained what the verse means, if we don't find that then we will go to the companions. Sah brothers? Why would we go to the companions? Because they are eyewitnesses. if an accident happens here on this road right now the police want to write a report Who are they going to question? Who are they going to ask? Who are they going to inquire? The eyewitnesses, those who were there when the accident happened, they will not ask. Somebody who's come two, three days later. The Sahabaas were the students of the Prophet ﷺ, so they would know the Qur'an better than anybody. And there are many reasons why they would. First of all, their language of the Arabic language is higher. They were a higher level. The language became tainted, the Arabic language. It diluted when a lot of non-Arabs entered Islam. Because the Arabs and the non-Arabs who are more as Muslims? The non-Arabs are more than the Arabs. So the language became diluted. The Arabs were marrying the non-Arabs. They were having children that couldn't speak the Arabic language. So, As wa Rasulillah, lakin they lived. in a land where the language was preserved, protected. Also, the companions, they did not have any ulterior motive. There was nothing forcing them to look at the verse and say, oh this is what it means, and they play around with the verse. They didn't have no ulterior motive. How do we know that they didn't have any ulterior motive? Allah said about them, Allah in this verse, He praised the companions from many perspectives. He praised them by saying that if you were to enter the masjid of the Prophet, you would see the Sahabaas رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا in a state of رُكَّعًا سُجُودًا Number one, that's how you would find the Sahabaas. Sujood, ruku'that's how they were. Not only that. And they were seeking. That's their heart now. That's their heart. They were seeking the virtue of Allah. Their ruku'and sujood was not for TikTok. And Instagram and Facebook. They were doing it to find nearness. to attain Jannah, to please their Lord Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala. That was the hadaf, the objective and the ghaya of why they did it. So the Sahabaas, we will take the Quran to them and we'll say what does this verse mean? So this verse, Al-Al-Imam Al-Wahidi, one of the great scholars of Tafsir, he says the majority of the scholars of Tafsir, the majority, they have interpreted They've explained, they've given the exegesis of this verse to mean what? Al-ghina music. The word lahwal hadith, he said the majority, have explained it to mean al-ghina music. And then he went on to say in Al-Al-Imam Al-Wahidi, This verse is what? This verse. Clearly shows the prohibition of listening to music So listen to this carefully If this verse The majority of the scholars of Tafsir And I'll go to the Sahabaas that said it And the Tabi'in I'll come to that If the majority have said that The ayah وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهُوَ الْحَدِيثِ لَهُوَ الْحَدِيثِ here means music And at the ending of the verse it says أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِيلٌ Who from amongst us wants a humiliating punishment the Day of Judgment? Does anyone here want it? Humiliating punishment? No Muslim wants that. We don't even want punishment, let alone them humiliating us. The scholars who have explained this to mean, Lahwa al-Hadith to mean music is the following. Number one, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. Abdullah ibn Mas'ud did not only explain it to mean music. He said, وَاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُ He swore. Abdullah ibn Mus'ud, he swore by Allah. He said, I swear by the Lord that there is none worthy of worship except Him. I swear by Him. That this ayah, وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَشْتَرِي لَهُ وَالْحَدِيثِ is referring to music. I swear by Allah, he said. That's what it means. He didn't just say that's what it means. Do you know Abdullah ibn Mus'ud when it comes to the tafsir of the Quran? Abdullah ibn Mus'ud said about him Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said, there is no ayah in the Quran, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, there is not an ayah in the Quran, I know where it came down, ask me. This verse, I know it came down there, it came down there, it came down there, I know where it came down on. I even know who it came down on. Who was it that that ayah came down on his situation, or his questioning, or he, I'll tell you. Luqwini then said, وَلَوْ أَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا If I knew anybody, أَعْلَمُ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ مِنِّي If I was to know anyone who knew the Qur'an better than I did, in which my camel can reach him, wallahi I would go to him and take the knowledge of the Qur'an from him. But I don't know. That's who he was, Abdullah ibn Mus'ud, when he came to the Qur'an. When he was alive, He was the most knowledgeable, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. Of course 30 years after him lived on, Abdullah ibn Abbas. And of course Ibn Taymiyyah mentions that Ibn Abbas passed him. Because if somebody lives on after you and knows how to benefit from their time and increases in beneficial knowledge every day that goes by and righteous action, them living on is nothing but good. Their life on this earth is nothing but good. They're accumulating good. As you all know when the Prophet died, according to a view he was 13 years old. According to another view says Abdullah ibn Abbas was 15. And according to another view says he was 17 on numbers. Let's take the highest which is 17. Only 17 years old. He lived until he lost his eyesight. Ibn Abbas I'm talking about. And then became the most knowledgeable man in Tafsir. But when Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was alive, Ibn Abbas was young. And he had not attained that knowledge. So what am I trying to say here? What I'm saying brothers and also sisters, is that Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, if he did not swear by Allah, we would take it from him. Because of his knowledge and his piety. Imagine if he's swore by Allah. So he is from the people who explained the ayah to mean music. Not only him. From the people who did is Abdullah ibn Abbas. Agreed with him. The lahwal hadith means music. Abdullah ibn Umar agreed with him. That's from the companions. Remember this brothers. When these Sahabaa said the explanation of this verse in this way and they explained it. Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, Abdullah ibn Abbas, Abdullah ibn Umar. The three of them. The Abdullah. Huh? How many? Abdullah. The four Abdullah. Who are they? The four Abdullah. Ibn Mas'ud is not in the four abadalah. Because he's older than all of them. A lot. Abdullah ibn Umar. Abdullah ibn Abbas. Abdullah ibn Abra ibn As. And Abdullah ibn Zubair. Those four. Ibn Mas'ud is not in the list. He's older than them. So we have two from the abadalah. And on top of that, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud. Are we all together? That's the... When the Sahabaas said that the ayah means this, no Sahabaas have disagreed with them. No one disagreed with them. No one said to them, that's not what it means. It is then wrong for us to come 1400 something years later and say this ayah, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud is his opinion. Abdullah ibn Umar is his opinion. Abdullah ibn... Abbas, it's his opinion. The question we pose is who from the Sahabaa said that to them? Who disagreed? And the fact that the entirety of the companions were silent about that commentary of the verse is an indication that they agreed with it. They agreed with it. and this is a form of consensus. Not only just that, then came after the students of the Sahabaas, and they all agreed with the Sahabaas on this. They agreed with Abdullah ibn Abbas, they agreed with Abdullah ibn Mas'ud and Abdullah ibn Umar. From them is Sa'id ibn Jubairan, Mujahid ibn Jabr, and Iqriman, Ibrahim al-Nakha'iyyad, Hafsa al-Basriyad, Maymur ibn Mehran, Makhul and others. All of them, they said that's what it means. So what we take from this Prophets is. This first verse, what we take from it is listening, buying music. It will lead to أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِيدٌ A severe punishment. That's before we reach the Akhirah. Allah Ta'ala, there are many verses, but let's just take the ones, inshaAllah. Another verse, which is the second. When Shaytan was taken out of Jannah and he was told to leave Jannah, exiled, he was told get out you are expelled from Jannah and you are never to enter this place again. Shaytan spoke to Allah He said Oh Allah allow me to live until the day of resurrection Please I want to live I don't want to be killed I want to live Why? This man Adam was the cause of me to leave Jannah Adam was the reason I left Jannah I need to take his children I need to take them with me to Jahannam And there are many verses in the Quran that speak about that answer he gave. Some verses keep it general, some verses expand on it, some go into many more details. One verse, Allah Ta'ala, he said, In another place, he said, I'm going to misguide these children. I'm going to take them to Jahannam with me. But in Surah Al-Isra, There's another perspective that the surah introduces. Allah says to him, Allah says to him, Place fear. Allah listen to this and apply this to today's people who listen to music. Wa Stafziz, place fear in the hearts of who? Wa Stafziz man istata'ata binhum bi sawtika Whoever from amongst the children of Adam, terrorize them with your voice. With your voice. We'll underline the part of the verse that we're going to look at now. Bi sawtika ya voice. The scholars of Tafsir, they explain this voice here is music. Mujahid Ibn Jabrid, he said that this is referring to music. Bisawtika, your voice, Shaytan's voice is what? Music. When you are listening to that music and you're nodding to it and you're jumping up and you're listening, you're enjoying. The sound of shaytan. A lot of researches that I read, they found people, a strong correlation, sorry, between people who listen, the people's confidence, their confidence, and the correlation between the type of music they listen to. They found people who listen to certain... Forms of music have fear heightened and scared. They lack confidence and etc. If they didn't even say that in the research, we already know Allah Ta'ala what he said here. Prophet become depressed from listening to it. Because that's your enemy, shaitan. he does not want to hold back in any way shape or form to destroy you there's no root He said to Allah, look how arrogant and stubborn and evil you must be to speak to Allah and say to Him, I'm going to miscarry them all. And the only group of people that Shaytan admitted that he will not touch and he will not, is he said, except those who are sincere. Allah that's shocking. Ya'adi, your enemy is admitting that there's only one group of people that I can't do anything to. Who are they? The ones who are sincere. And that's the thing that we lack the most today. Allah salam alayhi, is that not the case? Sincerity, being genuine, being honest, having ikhlas in what we say, ikhlas in what we do. That's the thing we lack the most. True? Yeah, everyone. We'll put our hands up to that, sir. Including myself. Sincerity. Being mukhlis. But he said, those are the people I'm not going to be able to touch. The rest are mahan. The remaining. I'll take them all with me. And they will come with me. So music, brothers, that's what it will do. It will place in your heart fear. Guess what the ayah then says. And Shaytan have ownership with them in their wealth and their children. Prophet are buying music, listening to this. Shaytan is in ownership with you. He's in your money. You're buying this, you're buying that. You're watching this movie that has music in it. Sah? You're watching all of that. Shaytan is in ownership with you in your wealth and your children. And nowadays it's very hard to even go somewhere without music is playing everywhere we go to Sah? But Shaytan al-Ishab ibn Taymiyyah is separated between listening to music and hearing music. Listening is what we're talking about here. Listen, when you listen. So if you go to a restaurant and they play music, it's fine to say to them, can you switch it off? Please switch this music off. And if they'll do it for you, alhamdulillah. But if they choose not to, as long as you don't listen to it, there is no sin upon you. Hearing it is not what? Are we all together? But it is best that even you choose not to hear it. Because Nabi Muhammad, he placed his fingers in his ears when he came by a place where they were playing music. The reason is because, Allah brothers, you need to protect your hearts. And this heart, so many things can affect it. What you see can affect it. What you hear can affect it. Hatta what you smell. There's now perfumes that they've made. They've made women wear these sort of perfumes. That will sexually attract the man to that woman. And they've given some to the men as well. That if the man wears that perfume. I see all these ads that come on. on YouTube they promote it sometimes. Perfume and then the nose and also even what you eat can affect your heart. So this heart inside is the king. Just like a ruler is protected by gods, your heart has to be protected. So you have to protect what you watch. Youngsters, a lot of you might suffer from so many problems. It's because you're not protecting the root to the heart. You want to see everything. You want to hear everything. You want to say everything. You want to eat everything. Of course that's going to affect your heart. And your heart becomes weak and weak until you become a slave. For who? For your nafs al-shaytan. هَرَبُوا مِنَ الرِّقِّ الَّذِي خُلِقُوا لَهُ فَبُلُوا بِرِقِّ النَّفْسِ وَالشَّيْطَانِ Ibn Al-Qayyim says, They ran away from being slaves to Allah. And so they became slaves to their nafs and shaitan. Because you're going to be a slave for something. Let's be honest. So you choose. Who do you want to be a slave to? Allah or your nafs al-shaytan? Shaytan, if you want to be for him, he's not going to take you to good. Shaykh won't hold back. He will use so many different methods and routes. In order to take you to the hellfire and destroy you. Let's mention some of the hadith. And inshallah ta'ala conclude with that point. The Prophet he told us. He said. The Prophet he said there's going to be. There's going to be from amongst my people. a group of people who are going to make it halal for themselves, al-hirah, which is zina, wal-harirah, which is silk, wal-khamra, and they will make khamr halal for themselves, wal-ma'azifa, and also music. There's going to come a day when... The people will make that halal for themselves. And they will use many methods. Many ways in order. To permit themselves this. Al-Hira means Zina. They will permit it. How do they permit it? Sometimes they will be clear about it. And say what's wrong with it? It's their choice. If they want to it's fine. There's nothing wrong. That's making it halal. Or they might say. I mean I know where you're coming from. But let's not judge. If people want to. have haram if they want to have these type of relationships whatever rocks their boat whatever tickles their fancy it's their choice who are we to judge etc and first it was zina and then it became homosexuals huh and he just carried on now we everything is just whatever tickles their fancies so zina silk alcohol and the way that people will make these things halal one of the steps ibn al-qayyim mentions in his kitab is that shaytan will change the name look at it zina is called i'm having an affair affair look how nice the word affair sounds so then you this idea to be scared of zina is not there it's a fair just a little it's an affair they had an affair what was it uh What other terms they used? I'm committed to this person. Arfad, terms, jaddaabah, that drag you in. That's what they use. They call alcohol juice. I remember one time a guy tried to ask me for drugs in London. Sad because a lot of Somalis, they do drugs. So he thought I was a drug dealer on a bus stop. And I had food in my hand. And I remember it's Tampac Lane, North London. I'm taking the bus. And a guy comes up to me and says to me, do you have food? And I was the last customer to actually get the chicken from the chicken and chip shop. I was excited to go home. My mayo, everything was ready. I was going to go home and eat my chicken and chips. So he said, do you have food? And he kept repeating it. And I could see my bag. So I said, here it is. Take it if you want it. He looked at me and said, no, I want food. Kept repeating it. I didn't understand it. He left and I'm thinking, I'm giving you food. Later I get told he meant food by drugs. Drugs means what? Is it in the UK only where they call it food? Only in the UK, huh? Elsewhere do they call it food as well? I don't want to be somebody who's teaching you guys the different names for haram stuff. But there it is. All of this is the smart move of Shaytan. Hatta when Shaytan took Adam and Hatta out of Jannah, what did he call the tree that Allah told him not to eat from? What did he call it? He called it Shajaratul Khubth. the Tree of Eternity. and a kingdom that does not end see changing names it was his style he said to adam do you want to eat from the tree of eternity because human beings if you tell them this is permanent allah we love permanent this is forever really this is always going to be yours all i've been asking for so that's what he understood he understood what the human wants to hear and he allowed him to hear what he wants and kingdom leadership that's what he said to adam So this idea is what Shaytan uses. He did the same with Qamar and also music. Different names they've given music to allow it. This hadith mentions, وَلَيَنْزِلَنَّ أَقْوَامٌ إِلَى جَنْبِ عَلَمٍ يَرُوحُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِسَارِحَةٍ لَّهُمْ The hadith says that there's going to be a group of people listening to music. They're engaged in music. They're listening. Listening to what? Music. So a group of people will come to them while they're listening to music and they will say to them, we need something from you. And they will say to them, قَالَ ارْجِعْ عِلَيْنَا غَدًا They will say to them, come back to us tomorrow. The hadith is Bukhari. They're listening to music, they're dancing, they're enjoying themselves. A group of people ask for some favor or something from them. They say, look, come back to us tomorrow. Before the other people come back, The narration mentions Allah what does He do? He destroys them. وَيَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ مَيْتْ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ The mountain that they were on, on their heads. Earthquakes. Meaning the earth swallows them. Actually the Prophet ﷺ said in a hadith, يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي There's going to come in my ummah an increase of earthquakes. When the earth shakes. Why is it? When this happens. إِذَا ظَهَرَ الْمَعَازِفُ When the music becomes apparent. If music, people listen to music. Okay. وَكَثُرَ الْقِيَانُ And the women who dance, who are told to dance, crease. وَشُرِبَتِ الْخُبُورِ And the alcohol is consumed. When that happens. Wait for the earthquake to come. Another hadith, the Prophet said, Sallallahu alayhi wa sallamah Yumthahu qawm A group of people, Allah will deform them. He will change their physique, the way they look. Min hadhihi umma From this ummah Fi akhir al-zaman The late times of the, before the hour strikes. They will be deformed into what? Qiradaatah wa khanazir Pigs and monkeys. And I'm telling you brothers, if you look at, which I'm not advising you guys to do this, but if it happens and you've already seen it, look at some of these rappers who are rapping. The way they jump, the way they sound, the way they act. Some of them, they already look like they've been deformed into pigs and monkeys. The way they're jumping from one... table to another and screaming calling themselves different names so one of them his name is something dog he called it he called himself this name and he's called dog that's what he called himself the youngsters are laughing because they know this stuff and this is a wow do you understand brothers so things that were once upon a time when we used to look at these hadith we used to just wonder we didn't just believe in them we just wonder and ask ourselves how is this going to happen And what way is it going to occur? Now it's unfolding in front of our eyes. So music brothers, if Allah has blessed you with children, Allah the greatest thing you can do is to protect them from it. Protect it from your children. This is evil. Not only is the music haram, generally... But our parents, the kind of music that they listen to, far better than what our children today. The music today in the English language, it's vulgar. And of course, I don't need to explain that to you. All the things that our deen tells us is haram, in those music is glorified. Killing someone, murdering someone. all the Rada'il, the evil was glorified. I spoke to youngsters, I asked them, Tell me, heart to heart. This is in the UK. Some of them went to prison. They came out. They've killed, murdered, sell drugs, all sorts of things. I said, talk to me. What is it? A lot of it, they pinpointed it to what? Music. So if you want, inshallah ta'ala, to take your religion serious, it can never happen. that the book of Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala, the Quran and music both occupy your heart. Just like fire and water cannot be together, one has to be gone. If you want Quran, get rid of music. If you want music, then Quran will go. They both can't stay in there, can't stay together. Hypocrisy, zina, zina extends. from the music. By Allahi alaykum, a people whose rap and their music that they create in America, in the UK and all of that, the way they speak about women, they have the audacity to talk about how Islam orders women? Sah? The way that they speak about women, the way that they, what they say about them, Sah? You're trying to buy a car insurance in the UK. What do you find on the car insurance website? A woman sitting on top of the car, naked. What's this woman got to do with the car insurance? This is to degrade the woman. Degrade her value and her qeema. Those people have the audacity to say, Islam believes this about women and Islam believes... So the point insha'Allah is, I remember when the MeToo movement happened, the MeToo movement, do you guys remember it? Online where all these big rappers and music, all of them were being dragged into what? They were being dragged into, oh he did this to me and names were being mentioned and cases were being opened. This was an indication they failed in what Islam was saying. And I remember there was a famous woman, she said something, she said Islam has a point, Allah, the Quran has a point, and how it segregates men from women, and how it protects us from listening, not listening to music, from us not doing, and these things, Allah, if we follow these guidelines, if we follow these rules, we will benefit. We will see good in our lives. We will be productive in so many things if we follow these guidelines. If we don't, we will suffer and the consequences will be something we will not be able to bear with. The last point I want to say, shaitan is what this all goes back to, sah? If your shaitan becomes weak, That you starve him because he doesn't eat. Because every food that you eat, you say, Bismillah. When you enter your house, you make the dua so he has nowhere to sleep. You do not entertain following his commands. What are the effects that he's going to have on you? A hungry, tired, starving shaitan. Is he going to be able to control you into doing anything wrong or bad? Will he? Allah. He's looking for something to eat and sleep. And that's what he's going to be busy with. Sah? But if your Shaytan, every time you get the food, you jump on it and you pound on it, you feed your Shaytan. You give him a house to come to. You let him be in your blood and your system so he grows and grows and grows. Then you say Shaytan I'm struggling. Of course you're struggling. Your Shaytan has got six packs. Your Shaytan is well taken care of. He's in the best form. is what in the best form you have no way shape or form fought against this enemy that doesn't care about you so that's why i say brothers these things and car salawat in jamaa not listening to music the benefits are so many things your knowledge in the religion will increase your family issues will be resolved your health You're feeling As a person, how tranquil and Yeah? Put your hand up and be honest. How many of you, when you hear a beautiful recitation of a Shaytan that you like, the Quran, you just feel tranquility? Put your hand up if we all do, right? Honestly, Sahaba brothers, there's a beautiful Shaytan here who leads the Salah, Shaytan Abdul Aziz Abu Al-Ghayt. Amazing reciter When he reads the Quran On Fridays And I listen to him I question Shall I do this Or shall I just run away Like after that Can somebody really talk He's an amazing reciter May Allah preserve and honour him When you hear that Quran Do you not feel tranquility Or when you hear Peace That's something music Can never give you By the remembrance of Allah Hearts are content You know why you feel that tranquility? It's because these words and your body and your heart is the same creator it came from. These are the words of your creator. And this body and this mind is the creator who created it. They go together. They want to be together. Harmony. You feel ease. You cry because you feel it in your heart. But you know what people are doing nowadays? Shaytan is coming in another form. So you don't listen to music. Listen to... what's it called? Is it called ASMR? What's it called? ASMR. That's what they choose. These noises. It's Shaytan. They listen to noise, raps. Somebody's scratching their microphone. Replacing those noises to fill. Do you know who that's made for? Do you know who they gave that to? A people who left religion. Became materialistic. There's a vacuum in them where the spiritual side is absent. So they need something to bring them back to. natural, real, everything has become fake, so this one a real noise. Why would you go for that when you have Kalamullah, the speech of Allah? Again this is the fault of Shaytan coming in a different form. And all he wants is to take you away from the Quran and the speech of Allah that your body and your mind needs. I've spoken for too long, anything I've said that was wrong or incorrect is from me. Shaytan and Allah and Him Messenger are both free from it. Subhanaka Allah wa bihamdika ashadu an la ilaha illa ant astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayhi
