the Bronfman burners socio-ecological framework is used to describe the environment surrounding a child and the system's impact on the child's development there are six levels to the framework with each level representing an environment impacting the child's development starting with the individual at the center and gradually moving outwards from the child the first level is called individual and looks at the individual of focus the child with aspects you need to then being discussed such as gender sex age ethnic background etc the second level is called the micro system and looks at the individuals who interact directly with the child such as their parents peers teachers etc the third level is called the meso system and looks at the interactions of those in the micro system such as the interactions of their parents with their peers or their parents with their teachers the fourth level is held the exo system and is an environment external to the child such as the parents work schedule for instance if the parent is only working nights and barely sees their child this framework highlights how that might affect the child the fifth level is called the macro system and looks at the societal and cultural views that the child is living within and how that might affect the child's development societal views of success of failure are an example of what may affect the child's development the sixth and final level is a temporal level and looks at the timing and duration of events that occur throughout the child's life here you can see all six levels of the framework displayed as concentric circles this is the visual depiction of the framework [Music] you
