War Card Game Overview

Objective

• The aim of the game is to win all the cards in the deck.
• Suitable for 2-4 players.

Materials Needed

• One standard deck of playing cards.

Setup

• Deal all the cards evenly between the players so each has the same number of cards.
• Players keep their cards face down in a pile in front of them.

Basic Gameplay

• Players simultaneously flip the top card of their pile face up on the table.
• The player with the highest card wins all the cards and places them face down at the bottom of their pile.
• In this game, Aces are considered high.

Special Rules: War

• If two or more players flip a card of the same rank, a 'war' occurs.
• Each player in the war places the top three cards from their pile face down, then flips a fourth card face up.
• The player with the highest face-up card wins all the cards on the table.

Double War

• If the face-up cards during a war are of the same rank, a 'double war' happens.
• Players again place three cards face down and flip a fourth card face up.
• The player with the highest face-up card wins all cards.
• This process repeats each time there's a tie in the face-up cards until someone wins.

Winning the Game

• The game continues until one player wins all cards from the deck.
