Theological and Political Claims on Israel

hello everyone and welcome to blogging theology and today I'm delighted to welcome back Dr Ali Ataie you are most welcome sir asalamaikkumalaykumalam Paul it's good to see you again my friend thank you for having me always an honor to be on blogging theology it's always a absolute honor to have you as a guest on this uh channel sir so for those who who don't know Dr ali atai is a scholar of biblical hermeneutics specializing in sacred languages comparative theology and comparative literature at Zaytuna College Dr atai has taught Arabic creedal theology comparative theology sciences of the Quran introduction to the Quran and seinal ancient texts he's a native Persian speaker and can read and write Arabic Biblical Hebrew and New Testament Greek and he's also visiting lecturer at the blogging theology academy now on the Tucker Carlson show recently uh Tucker interviewed US Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas in an extraordinary exchange which went viral carlson ripped into the senator over his claim that the modern state of Israel is identical to the Israel mentioned in the Bible now here's the clip that got everyone talking just it's just three minutes long but it's uh pretty powerful stuff actually so uh let me just And the reason is twofold number one as a Christian growing up in Sunday school I was taught from the Bible those who bless Israel will be blessed and those who curse Israel will be cursed and from my perspective I want to be on the blessing side of things oh the those who bless the government of Israel those who bless Israel is what it says doesn't say the government of it says the nation of Israel so that's in the Bible as a Christian I believe that where is that i I can find it to you i I don't have the the scripture off the tip of my You pull out the phone and use the It's in Genesis but so you're quoting a a Bible phrase you don't have context for it and you don't know where in the Bible it is but that's like your theology i'm confused what does that even mean Tucker i'm a Christian i want to know what you're talking about okay where does where does my support for Israel come from number one because biblically we are commanded to support Israel but number two hold on no no hold on you're a senator and now you're throwing out theology and I am a Christian i am allowed to weigh in on this we are commanded as Christians to support the government of Israel we are commanded to support Israel and we're told those who bless Israel will be blessed but what hold on define Israel this is important are you kidding i This This is a majority Christian country define Israel could Do you not know what Israel is that would be the country you've asked like 49 questions about so that's what Genesis ref that's what God is talking about the nation of Israel yes and he's So does that the current borders the current leadership he's talking about the political entity called Israel he he's talking about the nation of Israel yeah nations exists and he is discussing a nation a nation was the people of Israel referring to in Genesis is that the same as the country run by Benjamin Netanyahu right now yes yes it is okay and by the way it's not run by Benjamin Netanyahu as a dictator it's it's a democratic country that elected he's the prime minister what but just just like you know America is the country run by Donald Trump no actually the American people elected Donald Trump the same principle this is silly i'm talking about the political entity of modern Israel yes and that is believe that's what God talking about in Genesis i do but but that country's existed since when uh for thousands of years now there was a time when it didn't exist and then was recreated just over seven years ago but I'm saying I think most people understand that line in Genesis to refer to the Jewish people God's chosen people that's not what it says okay israel but you don't even know where in the Bible it is so I I don't know I don't remember I don't remember the scriptural citation but okay I keep Genesis 16 or something like that but yes it's in the earlier part of the book but the point is you keep interrupting me before I finish it's important to know what you're talking about I don't know what you're So you're saying as a Christian if I believe in Jesus I have to support the modern state of Israel I'm not saying that you I'm explaining for me what my vote motivation is but you okay so I'm just trying to understand you God tells you to support the modern state of Israel in the Bible in some place in the Bible that you heard about but you don't know where it is that's your theology you're going back am I a sleazy feline again i mean if you accuse me of anti-semitism again I will say that but I don't think you will that's dramatic dramatic stuff great great TV viewing I must say but serious issues here very serious issues couldn't be more uh you know important to uh the global community so over to you Dr aliot yes thank you so much yeah so the verse is Genesis 12:3 okay uh and this verse is the holy grail for Christian Zionists um I mean we mentioned this on blogging theology in the past so a little bit of review here uh here um it was the commentary of basically a fake scholar really a fraud named Cyrus Ingres Scofield CI Scoffield in his 1909 Scoffield reference Bible uh that significantly changed the Christian landscape in the West uh this infamous Bible turned millions of American Protestants into Christian Zionists generations of preachers were transformed and western Christianity was transformed and that is not an exaggeration i recommend the biography of CI Scoffield by Joseph Canfield uh it's called the incredible Scoffield and his book uh so Scofield had very wealthy American Zionists bankrolling his Bible project uh professor David Lutz mentions this as well in his book Unjust War theory Christian Zionism and the road to Jerusalem so his Bible uh was then published by Oxford University Press uh and Oxford was giving out his Bibles for free at one point and then we mentioned John Nelson Derby modern dispensationalism dual covenant theology so all of these false unbiblical and blasphemous ideas i mean the history is absolutely fascinating almost hard to believe right truth is certainly stranger than fiction so in Genesis 12:3 okay God says to Abram later called Abraham I will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed so here's what Scoffield wrote in his commentary quote wonderfully fulfilled in the history of the dispersion it has invariably fared ill with the people who have persecuted the Jew well with those who have protected him so for Scofield this verse is essentially a command from God for all nations to bless and protect Jews okay according to Scofield God commands all of us to bless Jews likeawat uh absolutely incredible uh after Scoffield unconditional and unquestionable allegiance uh to the Jewish people became ubiquitous among Protestant Christians um we know we have to bless and protect the Jews because they never cease to be chosen they are still the chosen people of God this is the con right here this is the scam m they are still the chosen people irrespective of how they feel about uh I don't know Jesus Christ you know this is this is the scam the scam of the century millions of Christians were hoodwinkedked and so we see this this this slavish Christian loyalty to the race of ethnic Jews which extends to the modern state of Israel it's a master and slave relationship so let me say it another way so it sinks in for the audience christian Zionists believe that they are bound by their religion to defend the modern state of Israel founded in 1948 u John Hegy uh he said that uh if if a man so much as raises his voice against Israel he invites upon himself the wrath of God wow so this is dangerously close to a form of idolatry that I call eodolatry okay the worship of eodio which is the Greek word for Jews the worship of Jews and I don't mean this to be flippant or or or disrespectful you know I'm not trying to be funny uh all nonunarian Christians worship at least one Jew okay so all trinitarian Christians worship at least one Jew this is a fact according to many Protestants the Catholics worship a pantheon of Jews zionist Christians they take this to the extreme so my point is that trinitarian Christians are theologically predisposed toward eodolatry in terms of Zionism and Jewish Zionists are banking on this uh last year an American congressman uh and then I'll come to Ted Cruz american congressman named Rick Allen from Georgia was questioning the president of Colombia University right so this was during the the pro Palestine campus encampments right so he asked the president of Colombia President Shafi he said quote "Are you familiar with Genesis 12:3?" And she said "Probably not as well as you are." And then he said it says if you bless Israel I will bless you and if you curse Israel I will curse you do you want Columbia University to be cursed by God end quote there's such utter nonsense god who said that a senator said this yeah a congressman Rick Allen from Georgia extraordinary i mean God's opinion of you depends upon your opinion of Israel founded in 1948 mentioned Israel it's talking about God blessing Abraham I will bless you mentioned in this passage is extraordinary exactly exactly yeah I'll come to that yeah exactly exactly you know how many times have we seen uh American Christian politicians and European Christian leaders put on a kipa right travel to Jerusalem uh and stand and put their hand on the Western wall it's a pledge of allegiance right it's an oath of loyalty they're making baya u and yet I have never seen a single photograph or video of one of these Christian politicians visiting the church of the holy supplr the holiest site in the world for Christians at least it's supposed to be i mean it's it's literally right down the street from the western wall so so we we know where their true loyalties lie now Ted Cruz in this interview with Tucker he said this is a direct quote from another place in the interview he said I came into Congress 13 years ago with the stated intention of being the leading defender of Israel in the United States Senate and I worked every day to do that end quote i mean that is just insane i mean imagine imagine the word Israel was swapped out for any other foreign country right i came into contra Congress 13 years ago with the state of stated intention of being the leading defender of Germany of of Italy of of Pakistan of of of France of Egypt in the United States Senate and I worked every day to do that what who are you working for and all of those countries I just mentioned are allies to to the United States by the way but that would raise many eyebrows uh okay so yeah I'll say a few things about the clip that we just saw uh and then I also want to read several passages from the New Testament and I encourage our audience to follow along with us i mean to literally like take out your Bibles and follow along got my trusted uh New Revised Standard Version it says a holy Bible you see it's not any old Bible it's a holy Bible excellent excellent yeah at least write down the references for people who who might struggle finding things in the Bible very quickly uh and then and then I actually encourage our audience uh to study these passages internalize the meanings and then memorize what you can and then share these passages with others you know it's really up to us as Muslim educators to teach biblical Christianity it's so strange many Christians today are not teaching biblical Christianity we have to do it for them and and and this is important for us as Muslims as well because when we make da'ah right when we call to Allah and his messenger we want to steal man the arguments and positions of the New Testament before we deconstruct them yes and also as you mentioned there are geopolitical ramifications to this type of public discourse so this is really really important so here's what's h here's what's happening with Cruz and other Christian Zionists in terms of Genesis 12:3 there there are three things happening I think in the following order okay so number one you mentioned it there's a misquotation number two uh followed by a partial truth okay and then number three a major theological error and then overall he's just woefully and pathetically mistaken first of all it's very telling that he said that as a child in in Sunday school right uh he was taught this false doctrine uh this is a fantastic example of the danger of falling into theological right so in other words blind conformity to one's religious authorities and parents in terms of religious beliefs right I mean I just I just want to say to him you are an adult sir you have to make up your own mind and Abraham speaking of Abraham Ibrahimisam in the Quran he says to his people including his father have you considered what you worship ship you and your forefathers you and your ancestors right you know just don't follow what people tell you about God without being convinced without proving things to yourself right 1 Thessalonians 5 21 Paul said panta uh dakimazete right prove all things in docimazo in Greek means to prove to scrutinize to test to examine examine test scrutinize all things don't just fall in line you have to know for yourself you know in the Quran uh we're told many times that the idoltor's response to the prophet's summons of is you know this is what we found our forefathers doing you know the Quran responds Even if their forefathers didn't know anything and were not guided right those people are gone for them is what they have earned and for you is what you have earned we have to answer for ourselves so so number one Cruz misques the verse in Genesis i mean Cruz and his ilk can't even get the wording right they don't even bother to look up the verses and again notice Cruz didn't even know where this verse appears in the Bible but Dr alot this this is extraordinary i don't really understand it you you say this senator entered the Senate and into into a great authority with a number one purpose to defend Israel okay I understand that but he doesn't know where this passage is in the Bible that he says he spent every day of his career defending Israel he doesn't even know the passage where it is in the Bible i mean one does wonder really the connection between this claimed scriptural support which as as you say is simply not there anyway and and his political support for the modern state of Israel he doesn't even know the reference which is extraordinary it's very extraordinary yeah it's very extraordinary i think a lot of people fall into this camp of just they've just been indoctrinated with things and they've never bothered to actually do an examination of what they were told this is this is the sad state of affairs you know yeah yeah he's he's like "Look it up on your phone." Right but but if we back let's back up one verse genesis 12:2 right so God is speaking to Abram the exalted father the great patriarch that's what Abram means before he renames him Abraham father of nations so God says to him "I will make you a great nation i will bless you and make your name great and you shall be a blessing." A great nation here is [ __ ] Gadul in Hebrew this is echoed in the Quran the Quran says Abraham was a nation unto himself devoted to God a monotheist he was not a polytheist and then Allahh says in surah 37 108 to 111 that we left unto him among all those who came after him all peace be upon Abraham thus do we reward the people of goodness verily he was of our tremendous believing servants okay now verse three of Genesis 12 this is the the holy grail right i will bless those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed now as you mentioned nowhere does the does the Hebrew word Israel appear in the text it's just not there you know Jacob is Israel and Jacob doesn't even exist yet jacob is the grandson of Abraham this is God speaking to Abraham so that is first and foremost the word Israel is not there now number two with that said Cruz is partially right okay so he's right that Abraham's descendants or seed in some form is implied in the text it's not explicit here it's implicit it is explicit in other places in Genesis that certain persons somehow descended of Abraham are to be blessed by humanity and who are these persons from a Jewish or a Torah perspective the answer is Israel as a people the Israel right not Israel as a political entity or state or kingdom uh it's Israel as in the children of Israel the children of Jacob that is the context of Genesis as a whole from our perspective as Muslims okay that was the Muslim Ummah at that time m the Israelites were the Muslims and all Muslims today in our prayers we ask God to bless the family of Abraham this includes the righteous people from both sides of his family the Israelites and the Israelites [Music] right this is called Okay and notice here we say the verb here is the exact same verb used in Genesis 123 i will bless those who bless you uh in in Hebrew right so the great irony is a Muslim two billion more than two billion Muslims in the world in their five daily prayers yeah but we are blessing Abraham you know i I mean I mean where is the fulfillment there it's in the Muslim world i I don't Christians i'm not being funny i've never met a Christian who blesses Abraham i I I've just never met one and maybe they do privately and I've just haven't noticed but it's part of the worship of Christians or the devotion of prayer at all not there but but for Islam for Muslims it is it's part of our five daily prayers exactly we follow this biblical injunction quite closely and consistently right I will bless those who bless you and this this blessing was taught to us by the prophet Muhammad himself sallallahu alaihi wasallam right uh but but it's not an unconditional blessing simply by virtue of one's Abrahamic descent okay yes yeah so we bless exactly the righteous and obedient people family and descendants of Abraham so if we look at the next two verses of chapter 37 I quoted some verses earlier from chapter 37 of the Quran this verses 112 and 113 [Music] we gave Abraham good news of Isaac a prophet and a righteous man we blessed him and Isaac as well and from their descendants from their seed the seed of Abraham and Isaac are those who do good while others who clearly wrong themselves meaning they are not doing good that ultimately the state of the heart takes precedence not a particular race or lineage abraham approached his Lord with a sound heart uh in our tradition of course we give special honor to the sadat the descendants of the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam as long as they are righteous the b I imadad uh who was a direct descendant of the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam from his grandson Al Hussein Ali he said in a line of poetry it's a beautiful line of poetry he saidlam So he said he said and this is a descendant of the prophet talking direct descendant from Imam Hussein he said by your life a person is only the son of his religion so don't forsake piety and lean on your lineage for verily Islam exalted the Persian Salom salman Al Faces and uh and idolatry debased the highborn al-Hassib from Bani Hashim debased the highborn Abu Lahab the uncle of the prophet right so so back to Cruz in Genesis 12:3 a misquation the text does not say Israel followed by a partial truth in the context of Genesis Israel is implied but only as a people not as a land or a government and concluding with a major error what is The major error the third component of Ted Cruz's debacle of Genesis 12 the major error has to do with his total ignorance of how this verse Genesis 12:3 and other verses like 123 are interpreted by New Testament authors okay so so let me be clear let me be uh crystal clear let's let's say for argument's sake okay that even if the Jewish understanding of this passage and other passages is to bless the Israelites to bless the Jews the Jews as a people as a nation as a polity unconditionally until the end of time even if that is the Jewish understanding that is not the New Testament understanding of the passage in Genesis and Ted Cruz by admission is a Christian this is what he's claiming and as a Christian he's supposed to believe I can't believe I have to say it he has to believe in the New Testament christians are expected to accept the New Testament it's supposed to supersede the Old Testament that's why it's called the Old Testament and the New Testament it's it's quite simple really it's the final and authoritative inspired word of God according to Christianity you know Paul of Tarsus as much as we as Muslims have issues with his teachings and there are many problems as you know we've discussed exactly that on this channel uh if one is a Christian who accepts the Aanasian 27 book canon uh of the New Testament uh one is bound to take Paul as being a divinely inspired writer because that's his claim if you're going to be a Christian be a Christian don't sit on a fence you know the Quran says You know the Quran says to the people of the Bible do you believe in parts of the scripture and disbelieve other parts so some Christian apologists they claim here oh you see the Quran commands the Christians to uh uh to follow uh the Bible because the Bible is totally true and accurate this is a this is a total straw man argument it's a question begging argument uh made in bad faith no the Quran in terms of the Bible and Christianity uh is much more nuanced uh than this reductionist Christian take if Christians okay would have stuck to the New Testament and and their tradition they would not be war hawking for Israel and by sticking to tradition they wouldn't have blood on their hands and by sticking to tradition I don't mean blind allegiance to Christian authorities the practice of the Christian tradition capital T is to harmonize scripture with natural reason with that's the entire project of the sum theologier of Aquinas now whether it works or not is a different story right that's a different discussion but at least there is an attempt of harmonization however many many Protestants today and most Christian Zionists are Protestants they practice fedism right so they believe that our human nature is so fallen is so depraved that we simply cannot rely on our reason much at all i mean Martin Luther in his usual dramatic style said quote reason is a [ __ ] yes end quote uh and and and Protestant preachers often say when in doubt faith it out right so for Aquinus even though humanity is fallen our status as the imo day the the the image of God allows for the proper functioning and efficacy of our natural intelligence and then our faith perfects natural reason so that ultimately there cannot be contradiction between the two because both come from God now whether again whether Aquinus succeeds or not that's a different discussion but the method is good so back to the Quran the Quran recognizes that they're going to be Christians if you're going to be a Christian be a Christian christian Zionism is not traditional Christianity um uh you know dispensationalism dual covenant theology uh the Bible rightly divided this is all bid at best Kufur at the worst from the standpoint of traditional Christianity it's actually kufur it's disbelief not only are these doctrines theologically anthma in terms of social impact these ideas are a road mapap to World War II i mean Dr steven Cizer a Bible believing Christian he wrote a book called Christian Zionism road map roadmap to Armageddon i mean it's radical Christianity it leads to Christian terrorism i mentioned John Hegy earlier uh for those who don't know John Hegy is an American preacher based in Texas um a very very large man uh he's the director of in more ways than one uh he's the director of Kufi you know Christians united for Israel he is a dual covenant dispensationalist Christian Zionist uh Hegy has a huge following around the world tens of millions uh let me show you how Kufi leads to Kufur okay how Christian Zionism leads to blasphemy hegy wrote I mean you can't make this up right hegy wrote a book called In Defense of Israel okay in this book Hegy argues that the Jews did not reject Jesus as the Messiah because Jesus never made the claim let me say let me say it again you can't make this up according to Hegy Jesus was not the Jew Jesus was not the Jewish Messiah and he never claimed to be the Messiah so I don't know what New Testament this man is reading in the New Testament so we're not talking about you know did Jesus historically claim to be the Messiah like Bart Aman would say maybe he did maybe no he's he's supposed to be a Christian okay he's supposed to believe in the New Testament in the New Testament Jesus is called Christos over 500 times christos is the Greek translation of Messiah is Messiah so you know Jesus never claimed to be the Messiah i mean one example John chapter 4:25 and 26 the woman at the well you know she said to Jesus "I know that the Messiah will come." Jesus responded "Egoi I am he the one speaking with you." So it's just absolutely mind-boggling what what these people are saying even at the time of Aquinas there was this theologian named uh Joakim of Fior okay and he and he he talked about these three stages of history like three dispensations the age of the father the age of the son the age of the spirit and the age of the spirit would soon sort of put an end to the the present order and Jews and Gentiles would all follow God the church would sort of disintegrate and all would have access to God i mean Aquinas refuted him in the Suma i mean he put an end to that very quickly this was in the 13th century so so Paul of Tarsus okay actually has something to say about God's blessing upon Abraham in Genesis 12 okay and again Christians are supposed to believe the New Testament writers not blindly follow their misguided preachers or even their parents okay they should adhere to long-standing Christian tradition and prove all things that's what Paul actually says i mean they should become Muslim that's the best case right and we've seen that many times christians who engage academically with Christianity end up becoming Muslim like yourself right alhamdulillah that's the best case scenario and we see that trend but again the Quran is dealing with realities not everyone will become Muslim if they don't accept Islam then they should not ignore or throw away 2,000 years of Christian tradition and scholarship can I just say Ted Cruz is not alone and of course he's not alone in America thinking this but I I looked up the uh the Southern Baptist Convention um the Southern Baptist Convention is it's huge uh you know uh massive organization for uh Baptists Christians evangelicals in the states and you know they got a statement here uh evangelical support uh for Israel and it quotes Genesis chapter 12 uh again uh alleging that Israel is mentioned in Genesis chapter 12 which is not um so this is a major political and religious movement in the United States on a huge scale uh it's not just people like Ted Cruz and the few others you mentioned it's a big big movement uh it elects people like the current president and he then does what he does and you know it has geopolitical global implications for all of us in fact yeah this this is really important topic exactly exactly uh and so yeah exactly so you know I don't I don't believe Paul of Tarsus was an inspired writer and I think that's obvious and I think I can demonstrate that i can provide evidence of that but if Christians do believe that he was then they should make at least try to understand in good faith what he is actually saying okay so you know Jay Dyer actually made a very good point recently i'll give credit where it's due he said something to the effect of when Christians uh and he's referring to evangelicals when they disconnect from their history when they divorce themselves from their like historical church the Orthodox church or the Catholic Church then another religious or pseudo-religious institution in the world such as the modern state of Israel becomes their sort of de facto mother church and so now Israel becomes God's institution on earth for the evangelicals i mean that's a total disaster but let's look at the passages so here here's Paul in Galatians 3:16 okay so to the audience I recommend writing these uh scriptural verses down make a note of them galatians 3:16 paul is commenting in this verse on Genesis 12:7 Genesis 13:15 Genesis 17:18 all of these verses in Genesis that deal with Abraham's seed he says "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promise made." He does not say and to seeds as of many but as of one and to your seed zer singular in Hebrew now watch this he says who is Christ so did you catch that according to Paul God in Genesis was specifically referring to Jesus Christ as being Abraham's seed only Jesus and those who believe in him are blessed and are the true seed of Abraham not the disbelieving Israelites and certainly not the modern genocidal blasphemous aparthide ethnostate of Israel founded by atheists which is not even a religious state is it a secular state in its constitution i mean it doesn't even pretend to be you know biblical Israel it doesn't even pretend that yeah i mean yeah exactly not the not the modern state of Israel where Jews routinely spit on and insult Christians as they walk by you know not Tel Aviv that hosts the largest pride parade in the world wow 100 miles from Sodom and Gomorrah and they used the rainbow as their symbol they've turned the rainbow into a symbol of degeneracy and rebellion of course the rainbow was a sign of the covenant that God made with humanity genesis 9 they're mocking Genesis 9 m you know in 2023 there were there were these two ultra orthodox members of the Knesset the parliament in Israel uh Moshe Gaffne and Jacob Asher or something like that they actually introduced a bill that would imprison Christian missionaries in Israel for one year if they tried to convert Jews to Christianity they wanted to criminalize talking about Jesus the the bill didn't pass but still this is God's institution on earth for evangelical Christian Zionists this is the country that John Hegy wants every Christian in the world to bless you couldn't make it up i mean if you had this in a fictional novel okay uh Dan could you imagine Dan Brown decided to write a a sequel to the Da Vinci Code dan Brown writes fiction he's a brilliant fiction writer so he writes this story okay that you've just accounted no one would buy it no one would believe it because it's too fantastical it doesn't make any sense now Brad how could you possibly argue it's a ridiculous scenario and yet as you said the truth is sometimes really stranger than than fiction yeah the truth is way too much fun here so Israeli lawmakers uh routinely want to criminalize talking about Jesus yet Hegy a supposed Christian minister says that if a man so much as raises his voice against Israel he invites upon himself the wrath of God you can't make this up okay you can't here's another here's another verse here paul says in f and we'll come back to Galatians but uh 1 Corinthians 16:22 okay 1 Corinthians 16:22 so there's two readings of this verse okay um and so it's interesting in in Bruce Mezer's textual commentary on the Greek New Testament he doesn't explain this difference this difference here there's two these two readings he kind of skips over it and he might have done that for I don't know for PC reasons or something uh but um certainly the King James version says this it says [Music] "If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ and some translations take out Jesus Christ right let him be anthma which means which Aramaic come O Lord." Right so it's it's Lord here is is talking about Jesus come O Lord means come back oh Jesus yes right in other words if anyone does not love Jesus that person is cursed right i love Jesus um here's the Arabic translation right right of course I don't believe that Jesus is he is a cursed if you don't love Jesus here's John 1 John 2:22 okay 1 John 2:22 who is the liar it is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ what does it what does he say right after this antichrist such a person is the antichrist if you don't love Jesus and you don't accept him as Messiah then you are a cursed Antichrist i didn't say that paul of Tarsus and John the Elder did new Testament writers okay I I just heard a uh an anti-ionist Christian podcaster say something very interesting i don't know if I totally agree with this but it's interesting no less okay this is what he said i'm paraphrasing he said uh when America started blessing Israel on May 14th 1948 what did it get what did America get since then since the Nakba what did America get since 1948 abortion feminism homosexuality becoming mainstream increase in AIDS and other STDs gender ideology high crime rates trash in the streets increased violence increased divorce inflation increased homelessness rampant atheism the epidemic use of pornography disobedient children social Marxism critical race theory and postmodern post-truth philosophy wow so at the end he asked is this be is are we being blessed or are we being cursed what do you think very powerful rhetoric yeah paul goes on to say okay so this is now we're back in Galatians all right galatians chapter 3 28 to 29 okay 29 oh yes this is now scripture there is neither Jew nor Greek there is neither bond nor free there is neither male nor female for you are all one in Christ Jesus if you belong to Christ then you are Abraham's seed and hes according to the promise you see he's he's he's referring to Genesis here this is called a conditional statement there's a protest and an apotheus right there's an if clause and a then clause a hum to the epsilon iota a is a conditional particle in co if you belong to Jesus abrahamma este then then you're Abraham see so Christians are the new chosen people according to the new testament you're only chosen and blessed if you believe in Jesus of course this is what he's saying how could this be more clear How on earth did so many Christians lose the plot here also in Galatians okay Paul makes this interesting claim that Gentiles who believe in Jesus like Greeks and Romans are now the children of Sarah the free woman while Jews who are actual physical descendants of Sarah Jews according to the flesh as he says but did not accept Jesus are now children of the bondwoman Hagar his point his point is if you don't believe in Jesus you are unchosen that's the bottom line and not only that if you don't believe in Jesus you're no longer really Jews and I'll come back to this idea in a minute okay but let's stay in Galatians okay galatians chapter 3 now 6 to8 so Galatians 3 6 to8 for those following along he says "Just as Abraham believed in God and it was accounted to him for righteousness therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham." Say it again only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham and the scripture foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith preach the gospel to Abraham beforehand saying "In you all nations shall be blessed." That's Genesis 12:3 paul is explicitly executing genesis 12:3 very interesting so according to the New Testament God's plan since the time of Abraham okay okay and this plan was communicated to Abraham according to Paul was to bring salvation to non-Jewish people through faith in Jesus Christ jesus Christ is the real reason for the blessing this is what Paul is saying i can see that very clearly in the text as a Muslim why can't millions of Christians see this is absolutely mind-boggling let's stay in Galatians 6 14-16 galatians 6:14-16 okay but God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom the world has been crucified to me and I to the world for in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything but a new creation and as many as walk according to this rule peace and mercy be upon them and upon the Israel of God ah interesting who is this Israel of God that Paul speaks of not some political entity or some specific ethnic group how is Paul using this term the Israel of God are people of all races Jews and Gentiles that believe in and glory in the cross of Christ it is the church it is the spiritual Israel the new Israel a new creation what does verse 15 mean for in Christ Jesus For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything but a new creation in other words it doesn't matter whether we have been circumcised or not what counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation through faith in Jesus what does verse 16 mean and as many as walk according to this rule peace and mercy be upon them and upon the Israel of God in other words may God's peace and mercy be upon all of those who live by this principle they are the new people of God okay this is very clear in fact Jesus Christ in the New Testament is depicted as being the new Israel he's the new Jacob jacob had 12 sons jesus had 12 disciples jesus's you know children as it were are the new Israel of God the new Israelites and Jesus is also the new Moses according to the New Testament he frees his people from uh you know um mo Moses frees his people from from physical bondage uh and Jesus frees his people uh from from spiritual bondage from sin this is a teaching of the New Testament old Israel was in and out of Egypt jesus the new Israel was also in and out of Egypt old Israel was in the wilderness for 40 years jesus the new Israel was in the wilderness for 40 days moses received the five books on the mountain jesus delivered his five discourses jesus lives out the journey of old Israel but unlike the previous Israel who broke off with God due to disobedience the new Israel Jesus remained obedient not as I will but as thou will and this is all in Matthew's gospel everything you said there Jesus going in and out of Egypt and and the five books it's all Jesus as the new Moses it's all is on the sermon on the mount and so on yes so we we see what's happening here jesus is a new Israel the Israel of God this is a fulfillment of Israel yet Christian Zionists claim that if you bless the modern nation state of Israel and their leaders you will be blessed if you bless the Jewish ethnostate currently committing genocide uh and run by the likes of Netanyahu and Bengavir and Smotri and Herszog criminal court for arrest warrant actually out for him for it for crimes against humanity exactly yeah it's unbelievable blessing yeah no if you bless Jesus you will be blessed this is the teaching of the New Testament christian Zionist okay so so Zionist Christians are replacing Jesus Christ with Netanyahu Bengavir Smootrich and Herszog it is the conj job of the millennium okay let's move to Romans this is Romans chapter 2:es 26- 29 okay romans chapter 2 26-29 again this is Paul speaking he says "Therefore if an uncircumcised man keeps the righteous requirements of the law will will not his uncircumcision be counted as circumcision and will not the physically uncircumcised if he fulfills the law judge you who even as with your written code and circumcision are a transgressor of the law?" Now wait for it okay here it comes for he is not a Jew who is one outwardly nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh but he is a Jew who is one inwardly and circumcision is that of the heart in the spirit not in the letter whose praise is not from men but from God ah in other words the very definition of the word Jew has been transformed you know the Hebrew word Yehuda means Jew contains the four letters of the tetrogrammatin yode vape so the word yehoudim has this spiritual meaning of the people of God right the people of the Lord paul is saying that now true Jewishness is of the heart true Jewishness is your belief in Christ through the Holy Spirit this is what circumcises the heart as it were if you are an inward Jew then God will praise you if you reject Christ and boast that you are a Jew by blood by the flesh men may praise you but that is not acceptable to God this is what he's saying remember Matthew 3:9 and and do not think to say to yourselves "We have Abraham as our father." You see the Jews were were boasting about their lineage right listen to Jesus's response this is Matthew 3:9 listen to this for I say to you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones god can turn Gentiles into Jews he can turn stones into Jews stop boasting that you are the chosen people because of your lineage when you disobey God that is the point if you disobey God your lineage is useless and you become children of the devil who said that jesus in John 8:44 you are of your father the devil okay let's come back to Romans in a minute but let's take a quick look at two verses from the book of Revelation we're going to go all the way to the end of the Bible here end of the New Testament revelation 29 chapter 2 verse 9 the speaker is Jesus himself according to John of Patmos this is what Jesus is saying i know your works tribulation and poverty but you are rich and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews but are not but are the sun go to Satana but are the synagogue of Satan in other words in other words in the latter days Jesus in his second coming will oppose people who claim to be Jews but are really not Jews they are false Jews they are not Jews in any sense now you think about the founders of the modern state of Israel most of them did not have Semitic blood they were descendants of Ashkanazi converts they did not follow the Torah they did not believe in Jesus forget about Jesus they were atheists they didn't believe in God right herzel Bengurian even Milikowski today he calls himself Netanyahu right given by the Lord he's very likely an atheist uh he's likely not Jewish religiously or ethnically he changed his name to appear Jewish but it's a lie but here's the thing okay even if they were direct descendants of Abraham and they followed the Torah to a tea and they praised and worshiped God incessantly if they reject the gospel of Jesus they are not Jews according to the New Testament okay here's Revelation 3:9 again the speaker is Jesus so that was Revelation 2:9 this is Revelation 3:9 indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say they are Jews and are not but lie indeed I will make them come and worship before your feet and to know that I have loved you here's the New Living Translation i Jesus will force those who belong to Satan's synagogue those liars who say they are Jews but are not to come and bow down at your feet they will acknowledge that you Christians are the ones I love in other words during the end times Jesus will force the Jewish people the Jews who did not believe in him the quote unquote Jews to bow down to Christians now here's something interesting about this okay if you flip over to Isaiah 60:14 okay all the way to Trito Isaiah Isaiah 6060 verse4 God is speaking to the Jews here he says "Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bowing to you and all those who despised you shall bow down at the souls of your feet and they shall call you the city of the Lord Zion of the Holy One of Israel." So here in Isaiah in the Tanakh the ones who persecuted the Jews will be forced to bow down uh uh at the feet of the Jews however in Revelation 3:9 due to Jewish disbelief in Jesus things have changed now the Jews the so-called Jews will be forced to bow down at the feet of the Christians the new Israel the true Jews so you see what happened here you see what John of Patmos is doing you see what Jesus quote unquote Jesus is doing in the book of Revelation he's flipping it on them right he's saying Isaiah 60:40 is actually not talking about ethnic Jews who cling to the Mosaic covenant it's talking about uh Christians right that that that that Jews who disbelieved in Jesus so-called Israel will be made will be forced to bow down to Christians the true Jews okay very interesting let's go back to Romans okay let's go to Romans chapter 9:es 1-9 romans 9 1-9 so when I was in seminary one of my professors he said Galatians is Paul really sort of speaking his mind you know it's muching words romans exactly Romans he's kind of calm and magisterial and reason angry and he at the end of at the end of Galatians he actually says "Now I I say this last part in big bold letters." He told his scribe to like really make it really big and bold you know so anyway this is what he says romans 9 1-9 okay i tell the truth in Christ and I am not lying my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Spirit that I have great sorrow and continual grief in my heart for my people my Jewish brothers and sisters i would be willing to be forever cursed cut off from Christ if that would save them so here Paul is being a bit dramatic he's very sad that his own Jewish brethren have rejected Jesus he continues "Who are Israelites to whom pertain the adoption the glory the covenants the giving of the law the service of God and the promises of whom are the fathers and from whom according to the flesh Christ came who was overall the eternally blessed God." Amen now as a side note the last part is a bad translation it gives the impression that Christ is called the eternally blessed God okay a better translation is to them belong the patriarchs and of their race according to the flesh is the Christ period god who is over all be blessed forever amen so that that final phrase epitan who is overall this is a eulogy describing God the father the same phrase is clearly used describing the father in Ephesians 4 uh but that's neither here nor there i mean that's what we can continue but just to make that clear uh so here in Romans uh 9:es 1-5 Romans 9 1-5 Paul is sort of praising the Israelites right god revealed his glory to them he made covenants with them and gave them his law he gave them the privilege of worshiping him receiving you know these kind of wonderful promises but there's a but okay watch this romans 9:6 but it is not that the word of God has taken no effect for they are not all Israel who are of Israel that is those who are the children of the flesh these are not the children of God wow the children of the promise as are counted as the seed so Paul is st is still talking about Genesis 12 according to this passage who is the true Israel gentiles and Jews who believe in Jesus Christ it cannot be more clear the children of the flesh are not the children of God to say that Genesis 12 has anything to do with the modern state of Israel in light of uh the New Testament I is ludicrous beyond imagination i mean you are throwing away the entire New Testament in the garbage and that's what they want that that's what the Israelis want and they're they're getting it they're getting Christians to throw away the entire New Testament jesus is not the Messiah in the New Testament are you kidding me there's interesting uh slight just a slight pause here there's a wonderful uh contention as it's called by Abdul Hakeim Morad who is a Muslim scholar here in England and uh he he he's he has these very pathy sentences uh which he likes to write from time to time and one of them is on this subject i'll just read it out is he's quoting the shama but not quite as we know it the shama is a hero oh Israel the Lord our God is one this is what Jesus reaffirms of course in Mark 12 and it's found originally in Deuteronomy 6:4 anyway Abdimad says this here O Israel the Lord thy God is not Israel here Israel the Lord thy God is not that's good that's good so the commentary there is that that uh you know people are now worshiping Israel the state of Israel and and given what you're saying in contrast to New Testament I think Paul would agree the apostle Paul would agree with them yeah yeah amazing amazing thank you for that that's amazing um we're coming down to the end here we have have a few more places to look at here but let's stay let's stay in Romans okay so Romans this is chapter 11 now verses 1-5 romans 11 1-5 so this is what Paul says he says,"I say then has God cast away his people certainly not for I am also an Israelite of the seed of Abraham of the tribe of Benjamin god has not cast away his people whom he forneew." Or do you know what the scripture says of Elijah how he pleads with God against Israel saying "Lord they have killed your prophets and tore down your altars i am the only one left and now they're trying to kill me too." But what does the divine response say to him i have reserved myself 7,000 men who have not bowed the knee to Bal okay now watch this he continues it is the same today for a few of the people of Israel have remained faithful because of God's grace his undeserved kindness in choosing them end quote what did he say all Israelites all Jews still chosen no Paul is saying that although still a minority many ethnic Jews did believe in Jesus Jews like himself yes right move to verse 17 now verse 17 and if some of the branches were broken off and you being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree you must not brag about being grafted into replace the branches that were broken off you are just a branch not the root okay so this is called replacement theology but notice it's not a total replacement god has not totally abandoned Israel that's what Paul says it's not a total abandonment some have called this grafting theology so remember also in Mark when Jesus cursed the olive tree i mean Mark probably wrote that after reading this in Romans uh the cursed and withered olive tree is old Israel why is it cursed disbelief in Jesus right the Quran says the disbelieving among the children of Israel were cursed upon the tongues of David and Jesus the son of Mary that was for their disobedience and violations paul continues okay then you will say branches were broken off that I might be grafted in yes but remember those branches were broken off because listen closely they did not believe in Christ and you are there because you do believe so don't think highly of yourself but fear what could happen for if God did not spare the natural branches he may not spare you either okay so here Paul is warning the Christians okay that is the believers in Jesus the new Israel not to make the same mistake that old Israel made right arrogance can lead to being cut off we have this we have the same principle in the Quran at the end of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam if you Muslims turn back you'll be replaced with another people who won't be like you right so now Paul continues "Notice how God is both kind and severe he is severe towards those who disobeyed and kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness but if you stop trusting you will also be cut off and if the people of Israel turn from their unbelief they will be grafted in again for God has the power to graft them back into the tree." So the door is open for them so Jews who disbelieved in Jesus were cut off cut off like branches from a tree old Israel also known as the Jews who rejected Jesus were cut off from the olive tree and Gentiles who do believe in Jesus are grafted in to the olive tree however if Jews convert and come to believe in Jesus then they'll be grafted back in but they have to believe they have to believe and many Christians in the early church saw the destruction of Jerusalem the temple in Jerusalem oh yeah in AD70 by the Romans h as a great sign from God that God had has finished with these people because the very center of Israelite faith wasn't rabbitical Judaism wasn't the Talmud uh wasn't the Torah it was the temple that sacrifices were offered up to according to the book of Leviticus for example and God destroyed their temple and that was it um this is how many many many Christians saw this as the judgment of God on Israel and that's pretty exactly yeah just read the the petristics it's all over the place and even in the New Testament Jesus red we destroy this temple and I will raise it up Jesus is the new temple and destroy that temple but it was resurrected this is according to New Testament theology so Jesus is the new temple which effectively which means but you're right the the cavode or the presence of God the shehina of God that was in the temple has left the temple the physical temple is gone uh but it descended into the the body of Jesus as it were in the incarnation this is what the the early church fathers w would teach that Jesus is the new temple and he's the eternal temple and the great irony is that the the the Romans ultimately banished the Jews from Jerusalem in the second century after the barbar and it was the Muslims in the seventh century under Omar who allowed the Jews back into Israel after the Christians banished them for centuries exactly exactly yeah yeah so according to the New Testament due to the Jews not trusting in God and violating their covenant God made a new covenant and what's another name for covenant you touched on this earlier Paul testament there is a New Testament the Christian scriptures are called the New Testament that's the whole point that is the whole point jeremiah 31:31 this is the lynchpin verse okay for for the Christian movement the early Pauline Christian movement jeremiah 31:31 the days are coming when I will make a new covenant that's how you say new testament in Hebrew and in Greek yeah right here's the Arabic translation uh If the Jews are still chosen and saved without Jesus if their covenant is still valid then they have no need there is no need for a New Testament and and Jeremiah's statement to the Jews then becomes a total waste of breath and here's another thing the Old Covenant also known as the Old Testament that God made with the Israelites was conditional it was a two-way street well where does it say that well it's in the Torah it's in Exodus so write this one down exodus 195-6 right before we get into the covenant code Exodus 20-23 the Ten Commandments and etc exodus 19 5 and 6 okay what does it say exodus 19 5 and 6 now if if you will obey me and keep my bit my command my covenant bite you will be my own special treasure from among the peoples of the earth for all the earth belongs to me and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation if the particle in Hebrew here is im this is a conditional particle if if if you will obey me and keep my covenant okay but where does it say that the Israelites broke their covenant with God okay well Jeremiah 11:10 jeremiah 11 verse 10 here it is they have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers who refuse to hear my words remember the ones who worship the calf and they have gone after other gods to serve them the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers jeremiah 11:10 write it down he in the Hebrew B is Yehuda that's the same word used for covenant testament New Testament Old Testament the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant absolutely crystal clear so remember Exodus 195 and 6 now if you will obey me and keep my bed you'll be my special treasure among the peoples you shall be to me as a kingdom of priests a holy nation notice the language here okay just you know kingdom priest holy nation because now in the New Testament 1 Peter 2:9 oh yes what does it say 1 Peter 2:9 but you he's talking to Christians are a chosen people a royal priesthood a holy nation God's special possession Christians not ethnic Jews because of Christ when I was a Christian that was a very precious verse to me actually because I thought well I I'm now part of this people of God this holy nation exactly that's what it means that's what it mean yeah yeah and of course many Christians are ethnic Jews but belief in Christ is without question Jesus Christ not any other so-called not Manaka Mendel Schneersen Jesus Christ is the Christ okay that's why you are now a holy nation special revelation 16 also revelation 16 the same type of language and Jesus Christ made us kings and priests to his God and father kings and priests notice Jesus has a god by the way according to revelation 16 is interesting but same language you know revelation 5:10 and have made us kings and priests to our god right so according to the new testament the Christians are the new chosen people the new Israel of God the true Jews and the real kings and priests upon the earth not the disbelieving ethnic Jews and certainly not a modern secular ethnostate that is an insult to Christianity now I want to go I want to look at another passage here we're coming down to the end i'm sorry I'm going over time here a little bit but this is a really good one so Matthew 20 this is in the Gospels obviously matthew 21 33-43 matthew chapter 21 verses 33 to 43 okay the parable of the vine dressers this is the methian Jesus this is a really good one okay so I'll just read this here and I'll give some comments um about 11 verses or so here another parable so Jesus is speaking to the Jews there was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it dug a wine press in it and built a tower and he leased it to to vine dressers and went into the far country and when vintage time drew near he sent his servants to the vine dressers that they might receive its fruit and the vine dressers took his servants beat one killed one and stoned another again he sent other servants more than the first and they did likewise to them then last of all he sent his son to them saying "They will respect my son." But when the vine dresser saw the son they said among themselves "This is the heir come let us kill him and seize his inheritance so they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him okay so in this parable so far the land owner right or the vineyard owner is God the vineyard is the holy land the vine dressers are the Jews the servants are the prophets and the son is the Messiah yeah i'll say it again the land owner or the vineyard owner is God the vineyard is the holy land the vine dressers are the Jews the servants are the prophets and the son is the Messiah now I don't believe Jesus was killed but that is not the point that's a different discussion right and I encourage people to watch our our marathon we did on the crucifixion on here on BT the point here is to understand what the New Testament is actually teaching that's what we have to try to understand so let's continue the parable therefore when the owner of the vineyard comes okay so what does that mean when the judgment of God who owns the holy land comes what will he do to those vine dressers what will he do to the Jews they said to him they said to Jesus "He will destroy those wicked men miserably and lease his vineyard the holy land to other vine dressers to Gentiles who will render to him the fruits in their seasons." You see non-Jews will inherit the holy land from God due to Jewish disobedience jesus is saying that the Jews will lose their lease they will be evicted jesus continued and said to them "Have you ever read in the scriptures the stone which the builders rejected the same has become the head of the corner this is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in your eyes." So he's quoting the Psalms therefore I say to you here's the big finish the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a nation that bears the proper fruit why they killed the prophets and rejected the Messiah okay if after reading this parable one still thinks that all of the Jews remain the chosen people of God then they've completely lost the plot they have no idea how to read the New Testament or what it says okay just a couple more references to an inshallah and I mentioned these in the past also and I mentioned this earlier a little bit john chapter 2 Jesus claimed to be the new temple the third temple in Romans 6 and Hebrews 10 just keep those chapters in mind romans 6 Hebrews Paul says that Jesus's sacrifice for sin was the be all end all sacrifice okay so Jesus is the ultimate temple the ultimate high priest the ultimate sin sacrifice ultimate means final this is New Testament Christianity yet Christian Zionists fully support the third temple uh the third physical temple where the where the priests and the sin sacrifices will return according to Jewish messianism that is blasphemy they're throwing Jesus away that's the conclusion christian Zionists are throwing Jesus away okay now Paul I do have if you will indulge me I do have like a five minute epilogue if I may because I'm Yeah I'm getting a lot of questions about uh Ezekiel 38 and 39 in light of the current sort of conflict okay uh in between Israel and Iran okay so I I just want to give and this is this is just my initial thoughts um and so the question is is the current conflict between Israel and Iran described in Ezekiel 38 and 39 okay so just to give a little bit of a a background here Ezekiel 38 and 39 they detail a future battle often called the war of Gog and Magog okay where some powerful enemy who's called Gog of Mog leads a coalition so Gog is some leader magog is a coalition of of nations that invades Israel okay um and then God intervenes supernaturally to defeat Gog and his armies uh demonstrating his power and sovereignty and this event is is prophesied to occur in the latter days it says right um and the coalition against Israel includes Persia okay so the question is again is this current conflict between Israel and Iran described in uh Ezekiel 38 and39 so my my answer is a very quick answer my answer is no um I don't think so ezekiel is likely talking about a future conflict why do I say that because the land of Israel okay is described uh in Ezekiel 38 as quote an unprotected land filled with unwalled villages and its people living in confidence that's Ezekiel 38:11 that is certainly not true today israel today is filled with border walls checkpoints military fortifications military installments etc and they're committing genocide so so Ezekiel 38 in my view is talking about a time when the true Messiah has come and already created peace in the holy land by defeating the false messiah and that true Messiah is Jesus peace be upon him now Ezekiel 38:5 mentions that Persia will join the coalition of Mog along with Ethiopia and Libya and others right Domer uh in my view this is referring to the army of the antichrist uh many of whom will come from Persia according to our esquetology there's a hadith anas ib malik and sallallahu alaihi wasallam uh [Music] so ibalik he reported that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said the dal the antichrist the pseudo messiah would be followed by 70,000 Jews of Isvahan uh and so yes I concur It's Persia but not the current Persia here's here's something else that's interesting so Ezekiel 39:9 okay it says "Then the people in the towns of Israel will go out and pick up your small and large se shields bows and arrows javelins and spear and spears and they will use them for fuel they will be enough to last them seven years they won't need to cut wood from the fields or forests for these weapons will give them all the fuel they need." So Ezekiel here is saying to this Gog this person Gog about his army Magog right what why why is that interesting because there's a hadith that says this is in the Sunn of Ibnu Maja that the Muslims will use the bows arrows and shields of Gog and Magog as firewood for seven years so clearly there's some sort of uh relationship here between what this hadith is saying and what we find in Ezekiel chapter 39 um Ezekiel 388 so I'm just going to read a few passages here from Ezekiel and this is sort of the finish here so this this begins at chapter 38:8 in the distant future you Gog and Magog will swoop down on the land of Israel which will be enjoying peace after recovering from war right and after its people have returned from many lands to the mountains of Israel so I think what's happening here is there's going to be a battle between the two messiahs the true messiah and the false messiah the true messiah Isaam will defeat the false messiah it is going to be peace in that area for some time you and all your allies a vast and awesome army will roll down but here Ezekiel is talking to Gog and Magog you will roll down on them like a storm and cover the land like a cloud ezekiel 38:22 i will punish you and your armies with disease and bloodshed i will send torrential rain hailstones fire and burning sulfur now Ezekiel 39 2-6 sorry I'm jumping around here ezekiel 39 2-6 i will turn you around and drive so again Ezekiel talking to Gog and Magog i will turn you around and drive you toward the mountains of Israel bringing you from the distant north i will knock the bow from your left hand and the arrows from your right hand i will leave you helpless you and your army and your allies will all die on the mountains i will feed you to the vultures and wild animals you will fall in the open fields for I have spoken says the sovereign Lord and I will rain down fire on Mog and all of your allies who live safely on the coasts uh then they will know that I am the Lord okay and then Ezekiel 39 11-16 and I will make a vast graveyard for Gog and his hordes in the valley of the travelers east of the Dead Sea i will block the way of those who traveled there and they will change the name of the place to the valley of Gog Gog's hordes uh it will take seven months for the people of Israel to bury the bodies and cleanse the land everyone in Israel will help for it will be a glorious victory for Israel when I demonstrate my glory on that day says the sovereign Lord so clearly this is not the same Israel that today is called Israel this is a different Israel of course Israel is a name of a prophet Yahoo Alisam this is not the same Israel after 7 months teams of men will be appointed to search the land for skeletons and bury to bury so the land will be made clean again the last thing I want to mention is just a hadith that seems to indicate some of those themes this hadith also is in the sun that uh it says that Isaam the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that Isaam mentioned the dal and said I will descend and kill him then the people will turn to their own lands and be confronted with Gog and Magog so people go back to the land mean there's going to be a time of of security and safety the walls will come down people will live in peace but then Gog and Magog come who will swoop down from every mound same language in the Quran 2196 of the Quran they will not pass by any water but they will drink it uh uh and they will not pass by anything but they but they will spoil it they the people will beseech Allah and and I will I will pray to Jesus is saying I will pray to Allah to kill them the earth will be filled with their stench and the people will beseech Allah and I will pray to Allah then the sky will rain down uh we'll send down rain and we'll carry them and throw them into the sea so I think there's there's a few correspondences here with this with these hadith uh and Ezekiel 38 through39 so to make a long story short no I don't think the current conflict uh is uh that I don't think that Ezekiel 3839 is predicting the current conflict it's a future conflict gosh well that's perfect thank you very much indeed gosh uh uh I'm not going to add in any way to this because you said so much and otherwise conversation would go on interminably uh but I'm thank you very much indeed Dr aliot Thai for your extremely insightful and erodite and eloquent uh presentation there um lots to think about and I thank you for those you know stressing these key verses in Romans and Galatians and so on as Exodus this is very helpful actually because these verses are really clear a and uh you can't really get around them and I think many Christians really need to come to terms with their own test yeah christians who are listening please read the New Testament read it for yourself if you don't understand maybe urging you to read the Bible yeah yeah yeah this is I think I think maybe they're reading maybe archaic translations they don't understand and just it's too intimidating get an easier translation just make sure you understand what the text is actually saying that's really important if you don't know what the text is saying you don't know anything yeah yeah yeah absolutely gosh well thank you Paul i appreciate it no well thank you very much and uh I I I hope a lot of people see this video is very
