This document provides instructions for logging into KCTCS Blackboard Learn, explains the multi-factor authentication process, highlights mobile app features, and outlines privacy, cookie, and terms of use policies.
Login Instructions
- Users must enter their username and password to access Blackboard.
- Password recovery options are available through the "Forgot Password?" link.
- Third-party login via KCTCS Single Sign On (SSO) is supported.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Setup
- Users are required to install an authenticator app (such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or Authy).
- The authenticator app must scan a QR code or accept a provided key for setup.
- After setup, users enter a temporary 6-digit code from the app to complete MFA.
- MFA will be required for future logins, especially on unrecognized devices.
Mobile App Availability and Features
- Blackboard Learn offers a free mobile app for Android and iOS devices.
- Students can view course content and participate in courses via the app.
- Instructors can access content, modify settings, grade assignments, and interact with students.
- App download links are provided for both Apple App Store and Google Play.
Privacy, Cookies, and Terms of Use
- Blackboard collects and stores personal information necessary to provide its services, as managed by the institution.
