In this video, we'll cover how to submit homework as a student by using the Gradescope mobile app. The mobile app is free to download on the App Store and in the Google Play Store. Once we've downloaded the app, we can log in to our Gradescope account. We can log in by using a Gradescope-specific password or with school credentials for schools that have enabled that option. Now that we're logged in, let's select our course.
We can see all of the assignments that are open for submission. on the Not Submitted tab here. Submitted assignments will appear on the Submitted tab, and graded assignments will appear on the Graded tab. Note that some types of assignments cannot be submitted on the mobile app.
For those assignments, you'll see a message like this, with a link to go to the Gradescope website and submit there. Let's submit homework 1. If we select the assignment, we can see the release date and due date up here. If the instructor has provided a file of questions or instructions to help us complete the assignment, we can download it by selecting the file name. When we're ready to submit, we have two options.
We can either use our phone's camera to scan handwritten work, or we can select a file from our device. Let's select submit or scan. We will now be prompt. prompted to take a photo of each page.
Hold the phone steady and the camera will automatically take a picture. Once we're happy with the picture, we can select next to scan another page. Once we've scanned all pages, we select done and Gradescope will convert our photos to a PDF file. Our file is now submitted. For some assignments, we'll see an extra step where we may be asked to assign pages of our PDF to questions that the instructor has listed for the assignment.
To do this, we can select Assign Pages, scroll through the pages of our submission, and select which questions were answered on each individual page. When we're done, let's select Done and submit the assignment. Once we've submitted, the assignment will move to the Submitted tab.
If we'd like, we can go to the dotted menu up here to resubmit, or to see more details about our submission. If we ever want to submit a file directly from our phone, we can select the select file option and upload pdf or image files from our device's photo library or files app finally after the assignment has been graded we can go to the graded tab to view our score and feedback
