today we are talking about a highly requested case and how can I please you today only with a psychopathic granny Hello hoax murder Today is trauma day and if you are us here it is good I am this and here we are talking about the most horrible criminal that I could ever find today's video is terrible terrible so please put that food away it is not worth it but still Bon appetit if you are a subscriber I am we are in California to be exact in Sacramento in September 1988 a man of 51 years old named alvaro montoya disappeared and the highlight is that no one is depressed by the disappearance of this man precisely because he had mental problems and was a man of the street alvaro in one way or another tried to stand on his own feet and entered a state program that helped vulnerable people and the person who helped him was a woman named Judy he was received in a certain house and basically these houses are very common in America I know at least a little practically the people who own these houses give the rooms in rent for vulnerable people people trying to get off the streets and the tenants pay this amount of money but it's not a huge amount and if you're wondering where they were getting this money Well from the state benefits Judy was about the only person who realized that Alvaro was nowhere to be found and she started asking around and found out somehow that he went to Mexico a month later Judy is still very curious because she didn't understand how to this man went to mexico and he gets a call out of nowhere saying that in fact alvaro came back a few days ago to get his things and go to his uncle in UTA UTA being another city in America if not a state one of two the biggest problem was that Judy knew that Alvaro had no living relatives and that was one of the reasons why he ended up living on the streets only three months after the disappearance Judy decides to take to the police and give this missing man and where is the first place where they would look for him at this house owned by this kind old lady it was a house with nine rooms and most of their needy people lived there the only problem with these houses is that people come in and out like a hotel many who could not afford to pay their rent or many who went back to live on the streets precisely because in that house they were not allowed to drink or consume illegal substances So clearly it was extremely difficult for them to find a suspect when the authorities arrive at this house they are greeted by this very very nice old lady She said she is 70 years old and she helps all these needy people and her name is dorotea puente she invites the police inside Hello take a seat Let me make you a coffee she introduces the other eight tenants and automatically The police question them all Hey you know have you seen him alvaro Do you know if he came to get his things or something Yes I actually saw him three or four days ago he came to get all his things and told us that he was going to his uncle in UTA everything seemed legit until the authorities let him go and one of the tenants slipped a note into the pocket of one of the policemen and on this note it was written as follows Come to this location in five minutes the location being a place across the street in five minutes this policeman he meets this tenant and this tenant tells him that in fact they were all manipulated by dorotea to lie and in fact they haven't seen alvaro for three months and on top of that people are disappearing from that house in one room it smells extremely terrible and on top of that the icing on the cake most likely alvaro is buried in the back yard of course the alarmed authorities are trying to get a warrant but it's very difficult for them and they decide that in a few days to knock on his door again Dorothea and this very pretty old lady Very charming well charming a lot said very charismatic let me say so Come on in Come on I'll make you a coffee I'll make you a cup of tea no problem and the authorities say we'd like to look around your house if possible we don't have a warrant but you know if you want please let us but of course no problem come in look wherever you want ok we can also look in the yard if you let us we would also like to make some holes in the yard yes sure no problem How many shovels do you have two there were three officers no problem I'll give you a shovel so you have three and dig in the yard faster after 40 minutes of making holes in the yard one of the officers hits something hard and after They discover a piece of material that came from a dress they continued to dig and after they hit something that looked like a tree trunk Of course they tried to take this trunk out so they could put it aside so they could continue digging and that's when they look at this trunk and realize that it wasn't actually a trunk it was a bone more precisely a leg a femur and I just said bone because the flesh that was supposed to surround this bone was long gone on Apa Sâmbetei It was clear that this foot was buried there many years ago the authorities turn to Dorotea visibly shocked how God forbid this reaches me in the yard I don't know where she came from Where she is there I don't know You know How many people come to my house Of course Dorotea is taken to the hearings and Let me tell you a little about her so that you understand to get this image in your head we have an old lady of about 70 80 years old dressed in a polka dot dress and white lace some glasses covering half her face and she looks like the kind of grandma that everybody loves And here's when the authorities pull up this grandma's record and discover that she was actually on parole After committing fraud and putting sedatives and anelges in people's drinks without their consent to rob them of course She was originally sentenced to six years ago and was caught when she tried to flee to Mexico she was released after three years on good behavior and she opened this house for needy people you know to take care of them so that she could give them a bed for little money and help them get back on their feet so you understand She was known as la doctora meaning the doctor in Romanian because according to her in 1940 she was a nurse in the war now a little parenthesis so you understand this grandma said she was 70 80 years old in reality she was only 59 years old and she wore these particular glasses and she took her teeth out of her mouth to make her look older and to be able to manipulate people easier and the phase with the doctor when she was apparently a nurse in the war was pretty much impossible because basically in 1940 when the War happened if we look at her birth certificate she was only 13 so it was pretty much impossible to be a nurse When she was asked again about alvaro she said for the hundredth time that she doesn't know where he is First he went to Mexico he came back and took his things and went to UTA to his uncle the problem is that alvaro didn't have any uncle He didn't have a mother or father he didn't have any living relatives ok dorothea but we have this tenant in your house who says she is most likely buried in the yard I put you from a room in your house and people disappear on their heads Yes that tenant no he knows what he's saying because he's an alcoholic ok dorotea but whose leg is it that i found in the yard did you see it didn't even have any meat on it i'm sure it's not even from this decade buried there she seemed very confident when she said that i don't know how to tell you now one thing i didn't mention is that in that yard there were actually random pieces of cement poured by who were they poured there by the rent and who lived in dorotea's house and dorotea was paying them to pour this concrete and dig holes in her yard she continued to say that she is just an old lady with a heart of gold and after hours of questioning the officer who was fed up with so many questions looked her in the eyes and said alvaro montoya is dead and most likely buried in the back yard dorothea of course shocked no way alvaro is in UTA he offered them that she is able to pay some workers to dig in the whole yard to prove to them that there is no one there, I don't know how to say dorotea, but that's not how it works, people don't wake up that she finds bones in your yard and you go pay other workers to prove to them that it's nothing She's full of questions she raises her hand in the air and says I didn't kill anyone the reason why she would have buried Actually and Legally these people in the yard because when we talk about serial killers they usually have a reason this woman's reason was to take their money just by taking a logical How can you kill a person who you pay your rent What money do you get after you kill them and hide them in the yard Well, to understand this system in America when you own a house like this if you take needy people who receive benefits from the state those benefits that little bit From that money that goes to the rent no longer goes to them in the account it goes directly to the landlady in the account so when these people disappear and the people from the state don't realize it because you can figure it out a very large system with a lot of red tape so to speak automatically people don't realize that a man disappears for four five years and they continue to send them benefits now another question that I have and probably you too this woman was put in prison After she tried to flee to Mexico on the grounds of fraud How was she allowed to have such a house how was she allowed to receive the money from the benefits of people who were vulnerable let's go back to the interview because we still don't it's over the officer continues to tell her that sure if she looks in the yard she'll find more remains of the bodies she wanted she says if they are There's no way I'm going to be buried there already you're starting to look guilty they let her go home they let her go home I don't know the stupidity of the police officers or I don't know I think maybe that's how the system was at that time I couldn't understand what was going through their heads during this case and you'll see later why I say this but they let her go home Even though they found a leg on her in the yard you want to forget the fact that she tried to run away to Mexico last time meanwhile it was discovered that that leg belonged to an old woman So it wasn't How could it be Alvaro's and the next day the officers were back at dorotea's house with a warrant well in addition to the warrant we have detective officers medical examiners the whole digger circus can you imagine the people on the streets who were coming to see what was going on there we have helicopters with cameras pointing at the news stations you know and in the corner dorothea drinking a quiet cup of tea while my men started digging left and right to pick up those pieces of cement they get to a certain part of this yard and dorothea goes to one of the officers looks at him and says I'm somehow under arrest But why are you asking me why are you asking me dorothea Well give me anxiety all these people here this circus I'm a helpless old lady I've done absolutely nothing I'm completely innocent I just wanted to take one of my tenants and go to a hotel where I'm going to meet my nephew for a drink the name of the tenant she was going to take with her was Mc collie this officer who got this explanation goes back to the other detective and in practice they still had no evidence they had no reason to have they keep her under arrest so they go back to her And I say ok you go to this hotel I will come with you to make sure you get there and you can drink that glass of something in peace but after you come back for sure no problem Yes Come on he took the mcc collie took this officer they went to the hotel after which the officer leaves her there and returns back to the house 21 minutes later what do people discover in the yard of course a skeleton super let's go Are we staying at Dorotea we know she is at this hotel I arrive at the Hotel Where is Dorotea not there she had left with MC 10 minutes after she arrived at the hotel and they went straight to a bar where they drank a few glasses of Vodka she left Mc there She got into another taxi after which she went to a bus station and we lost a We don't know what else happened to her in her bag she had 3000 ua as of today it would be a few tens thousands of years ago I didn't stop to look how much it would be today but you can tell that this woman was going to run away I think in Mexico if I sit and think back to the house more skeletons came up seven to be more precise seven skeletons buried in that yard I can't imagine how this old woman actually 60 years old got to bury well Actually I know I 'll tell you later but but but they also found Alvaro well of course and it was found that the method by which this grandmother left all these people breathless was by poisoning them after which she took these bodies and stuffed them in a room Yes room that was not lived in by anyone and he would leave them there for weeks until he managed to convince one of the tenants or pay him to make a pit in the yard and then he would throw them in these pits made to bury them there then he would go and pay other people to pour cement over you can you imagine the smell that still lingered by the way in that room all the liquids and all that smell of putrefaction bad something bad and another question I have I'm full of questions today Ok Think about that house It only had nine rooms So there were a maximum of eight nine tenants let's say that and the Phase is that this woman continued to receive the benefits from the state from the rent and who are they so well they died who were killed Ok she continued to receive these benefits and that showed the people from the state who were dealing with all this bureaucracy that those people were still living there so at this point it showed them that there were about 20 people living in that house, how come no one was caught? That's the question, they really don't care at all about these vulnerable people. In the meantime, it was discovered that Dorotea had left two other people breathless in addition to the seven skeletons that were found in the yard. I said she left them breathless. he was her ex- boyfriend whom she stuffed in a wooden box and threw at the bottom of a lake was discovered a few years ago but his Identity was not discovered and that case was not linked to this until after they arrested Dorotea but until they arrest her we get there and another Fun fact that is not so Fan one of the VI victims buried but a skeleton was found buried next to a statue of the Virgin Mary and her head and body parts were missing Now we return to dorotea who was away in Honolulu at this point It's been about three days Yes three days well Actually she wasn't in Honolulu she was in Los Angeles She was at a motel and she didn't leave the house except to go to a bar and drink she liked to drink in case you didn't realize one morning she went to this bar she met a man named Charles and they had a drink they had a cocktail they had a morning snot and they started talking about the pension about the benefits from the state about how the street people get these benefits from the state and little by little they started to seem Like two pigeons getting drunk in the middle of the day at this point that a few hours passed and Dorothea proposed to Charles to move in with her after that they left this bar they went shopping and stayed that Charles would come back to her motel in the evening to pick her up and go out on another date when Charles got home and came back from this drunkenness and somehow something seemed quite strange to him because he just met this 60 year old woman who was very interested in his pension and how she wants to move into the house with him this is the moment when he turns on the TV and sees on the full screen this grandmother Dorotea Puente who spent the whole day with this man Charles Of course he called the authorities directly he gave them the address of the motel where Dorotea was and she is also arrested on the spot Not on the spot Until the authorities arrived some time passed but she was arrested She was brought back to Sacramento and the only thing she said is I didn't kill anyone I just took their money I was a good person at times you know dorothea automatically started blaming the other tenants Who were drunks who were people addicted to illegal substances and that she was just a innocent grandma She basically had this spinning wheel in her head saying hey you're a 60 year old grandma you're better off going to jail for fraud again than capital murder she also had the benefit of the fact that it had been five years since she buried the first body so they didn't have some pretty clear evidence to actually show what the cause of death was three years to trial and she was given the opportunity to take a plea deal to plead guilty and not get the death penalty but she insisted she was completely innocent and showing us no emotion at the trial she was just worried about her cat fer fer and I would be worried about my cat at trial they put her whole life on the line to find out absolutely everyone it took three years to get to this trial just because it turned the world upside down they found over 3000 evidence in that house like she would have had to do with all these murders and all these burials her whole life was basically put on the table this woman was a manipulator who all she knew how to do in her life was lie she committed a lot of fraud she opened several houses like that and at one point she opened you know I said she had a business partner they opened this charity to help needy people and they laundered money to people and they didn't give it to this charity It mattered to her not to mention the fact that from the age of 40 she started pulling her teeth out of her mouth wearing these very big glasses wearing these dresses that looked like for older women so to speak just to look like a vulnerable old lady and get away with absolutely anything in the end dorotea puente got life in prison without the possibility of parole in 1993 she was being in prison this grandmother adored by everyone made food for her fellow inmates and got her nickname mother dorotea on March 27, 2011 after 18 years she died of natural causes at the age of 82 and in 2009 she gave an interview and was asked what she thinks about the fact that people think she is a cold-blooded criminal and she answered in the following way it hurts my ass What does everyone think today her house she was bought by a couple who were extremely inspired to put a mannequin in front of the house with Dorothea who looked a lot like Dorothea and she really had that coat that she had on when she left that house When she was asked if she was under arrest and the people were something like that I said that it seems extremely idiotic to me how the authorities proceeded with this whole thing I mean how do you tell me that my people were with the excavator in her yard with actual forensic doctors to discovers you know those who go and discover dinosaurs and come with those brushes and search all over the yard they had already found a bone already she was suspected of having killed Alvaro who disappeared a few months ago already at this point and she asks are they under arrest and they say No more We don't have enough evidence to keep her here Go you lady and drink tea with your nephew and she went drink Vodka Wow that was it this case was extraordinary asked I remember I don't know if you know a fan fact about me when I was younger around the age of 11 12 I lived in Italy and in Italy I came across this channel that talked about true crime and I saw the documentary about this old woman and if you ask me I think that was the moment when I realized that I was passionate about true crime but I remember it very well After all these years and I remember that I was in shock leaving aside the fact that she did what she did with these bodies that she put them in the yard you know how she manipulated everyone the fact that the authorities actually let her give her this escape hatch I 'm sure she wanted to run to Mexico And if she didn't get drunk that morning and give Her future husband probably would have escaped somehow because she's a vulnerable and nice old lady carrying corpses up the stairs in the middle of the night to put them in Court, that was the case. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for staying with me until the end. I was ceci, this was the case of Dorotea Puente and Until Future trauma Stay safe I'm very hungry I haven't eaten since morning it's evening it's 8:00 in the evening at my place and I don't know if I'm eating anymore That's the question I don't know if I'm eating anymore
