Biography of Prophet Muhammad

and by the way quraish all of them had utmost respect for him even abdu as we're going to see later and allah reward you guys abundantly by coming on the day before it to learn about the biography of the prophet from someone like me may allah today as i promised we're going to start with the messenger the messenger [Music] there is no person human being who has ever walked on this earth better than muhammad he is the best unrestrictedly [Music] [Music] his enemies they used to testify to that um [Music] [Music] went to the roman leader and the roman leader said i want to ask you a few questions about this man who has come out from amongst you who claims he's a prophet there's a few questions i'm going to ask you and i want you to be honest with me and he said to his friends you see this side and he wanted to check if they are yeah i mean telling the truth so he separated them the question he was asked was [Music] is he from a very great lineage is he a man of and his lineage is great abu sufyan said yes was a red man he's read before so he knew the previous prophets that came and what so he said that's the way prophets are he was sent to a people that wasn't from his people and one of the things that lord regretted and he was sad about was he said if only i was from a strong powerful people in other words i wish i was from the people i was sent to and ever since that time allah sent every prophet [Music] all of the tribes his child was the best his name is and the name i'm going to mention here is there is no difference of opinion that this is his name and it's up to adnan after adnan it's no evidence for it there's a difference of opinion but [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] a person needs to know is that his name is muhammad abdullah ibn abdul the more you love the messenger the more you're gonna learn are we all together so i would encourage for you to go out of your way and to memorize his name up to adanan [Music] al-imam he said this up to adnan [Music] by consensus and the agreement of all the scholars of history adnan is all agreed on are we all together [Music] also allah chose nabil mohammed not just from the best lineage but also from the best generation the best timing [Music] he said about himself i was sent out at the best generation the best timing of all of the children of adam [Music] is [Music] [Music] and the prophet said allah chose me from the children of hashem and who is hashim inshallah so this is the name of the prophet and also took that he came out the best generation [Music] muhammad his fathers were always married the prophet was not born outside wedlock from admiral [Music] [Music] children out of wedlock that happened through jayahiria didn't attach it didn't happen to me are we all together no one can say that about himself except who the prophet and he's going up no one can say that about themselves does that make sense muhammad until adam until he came they were married and as you know in islam the marriages of jayahiri islam is it considered of course it's considered if two people get married in the church and they revert to islam we won't say to them do your marriages again we consider that to be what marriage if they are boyfriend and girlfriend we would say get married does that make sense so the marriages the prophet never told anyone to get married once they came into islam rather a man came to the prophet and he said ya rasulallah i am married to a hundred women and what did the prophet say to him choose for from them why would he say choose why would he say choose he could have said what marry fall from them if the marriage was invalid meaning the marriages are valid but only four would be right so he chose four from these five four from these hundred women he was married to we all together so the prophet he was not born out of a wedblock [Music] now today i want to talk about the prophet's main family members and then we'll talk about him in charlotte the first person we want to focus on today is the prophet's grandfather the one that the prophet said about him right now who is [Music] is the father's the prophet's great-grandfather right his name is muhammad who's after that abdi manaf all together so the process tribe is considered benue that's where he was known as benue so it's important that we know who hashem is hashim his name is amr his name is what and he was a very honorable man very what honorable and one of the things he took it upon himself hashim was him [Music] was an individual who collected the waters from the wells of mecca from the different wells of mecca he would collect water from it and he would place it close to the kaaba so the people could come and drink from it they'll go to the different wells they would put the waters in one place for the people next to the kaaba and the people could come and they could drink and they say he used to put it in the direction of the breeze of mecca where it be a bit cold and next to it he would play place dates and [Music] what's it called dates and [Music] raisins he will take the raisins and then and he would take date and he would sometimes make juices out of the water he would bring and the date he would bring them he'll give them date juices passion [Music] and he's from the children of abdi manafort [Music] had four boys how many foot boys he had four boys does anyone know the name of the children of abdi manafort [Music] [Music] and what's the fourth one nufain was the fourth one those four were brothers in the quran when allah says yeah i need a prophet's family who is it referring to [Music] one of them why are two the prophets considered to be from the prophet's family and the other two are not when they're all from the same father when he died man asked this question to the prophet he says the spoils of war when you take them one fifth is given to you give it to al mu and you guys banu hashem you take it what about no felon abdishabs did they not have the rights the prophet said no he said why [Music] were always stuck together when islam came and even before islam we're going to see later when nabila muhammad came and proclaimed the message in mecca he got boycotted right we're going to see that story insha'allah got boycotted he was put in a valley all of the tribes of quraysh boycotted the prophets the tribes that stuck with the prophet [Music] benny hashem only one man cut off from benihashim does anyone know who he was [Music] who said i'm not going to be part of all of this and he went with the other quraish it's from the prophet he's the prophet he's the prophet's father's brother he boycotted his own nephew all of stood by the prophet abdishams and now full when we're the other tribes of polish but the prophet said this has to have this has got weight are we all together they stood by the prophet and even before islam they were together like those two brothers are we all together hashim who by the way who's from mumbai al-imam i used to be happy with being from tariq are we all together there's a line of poetry he said [Music] then i love the prophet's family but that isn't what after the immunity means we all together it was the prophet's family it was wrongly an invade why was hashem called hashim the reason why he was given this name is because that means what he took bread and meat and the soup that was made from the meat and he mixed it together that is called and he used to feed that to the people of mecca and he became he got given that title and that name of what being called hashem if the people of the pilgrimages will come he would feed them this food he was also the first person [Music] to have created the idea of he was safe that allah mentioned in the quran would be standing and he would be feeding the people okay and he would also go to minna and he would feed the people and muzdalifah and arafat he was doing that he would give that bread and that meat and this was one of the best foods that the arab knew are we all together this food is called a what it's called does anyone know where where that word has anybody heard of that word before is it does it trigger any thought to anyone's mind you know the food but do you know it from somewhere else like from the prophet sign something somewhere when the prophet was praising allah and i remember what he said our mother when he was praising her the prophet saw what did he say aisha is like the fed the way it is food the highest compared to all the other food that's what aisha is compared to all the other women so the word fed is a really loved dish for the arabs they loved it so he used to feed that to them one of the things that's mentioned is that hashim he went out to sham [Music] for business when he came to medina he married a woman by the name of salman binti she was he went came by medina and that time medina was called what it was called so he he married a woman by the name of salma binti and she was from the tribe of adidas he married her and stayed with her for a bit before that she got married and she was divorced and he married her again and bernie and hashim and she saw from him integrity and honor brothers i want to say something these men that we're going to see hashim abdulmu all of these men they had the quality of being leaders and one of the qualities that they had as being leaders they had a saha a very generous man generosity a very stingy person who hates to give whenever he has to give his shakes like electrocuted and shivers cannot keep a marriage let alone as community on a society if you look at this we're going to see this inshallah when the messenger came to the leaders remember we know the prophet came to medina and there were three main tribes of the jews all that the prophet did was he signed contract with every tribe to having this is a contract and we're going to live beside each other i'm not gonna harm you guys don't harm me and he did that with other tribes as well except one tribe he said get rid of that leader the professor why he was stingy he can't be a leader if he's going to starve his people [Music] are we all together willie that he can one of the great qualities that a leader has is that he takes into consideration people's needs it's not a good quality if a man's family is starving and he has the money his children his wife and his kids he's not giving him any money he's got it this is in his possession what good is awaited from you for you to do for the muslim community if your own children are starving or your wife is hungry we all together these are non-muslims hashim was not a muslim abdi was not a muslim how how was he able to be the man in charge of mecca and by the way quraish all of them had utmost respect for him even adding as we're going to see later get a presence in the room only because like he's the leader of the people and what's he doing he's going to yo muthal he's going to milan he's going around circulating and he's as a leader he's giving them what something to drink something to eat are we all together and so this is the benefit that we take from the sierra brothers the theater is meant to teach us concepts of leadership and ways to attain so what he did was he went and he got married and he married the woman [Music] he traveled after that so again the route from makkah to sham was medina you had to go through medina so he went from mecca to medina to sham so he married a woman on the way and he went to sham when he was in the place of gaza you know where is right when he was there in gaza which is part of shah he died the woman he just left she was pregnant he didn't know that he got pregnant she had a child for him she had a son for him and his child's name was called shaiba his name was what shaiba that's the name that she gave him hashim he had four boys shayba and asset and the other three were from somewhere else other life like in this one was what from his wife in medina [Music] some of the historians mentioned how she knew that his wife was pregnant so what did he do [Music] he spoke to his brother al-mu talib he spoke to his brother and he said listen my wife is pregnant i'm a businessman i'm going to travel and i'm going to go to shem if anything happens to me take care another thing brothers we benefit from here is that when you're traveling always leave behind an advice we're all together brothers and if you're secretly married you got a wife and tell one person at least yeah or if you have debts that you need to write it down because that money should be taken from the inheritance first and paid off or else random people are just going to come and say this money this money is about your family is going to be like we don't know if it's true or not so that was an important thing and if he never did this they said it could have been a what a tragedy tragedy because this child is not going to be known so he informed his brother and he said [Music] take care of mecca also my wife take yeah and you know that i'm married i got married so what happened was he went to medina when he was brother died and he found that his brother passed away he went to he went to medina when muktali went to medina he spoke to salma and he said to salman can i take your son from he said no he's a mother right he said it's best that you do she said why she said the place he's at now medina he's a nobody he's an old man but if he comes to mecca he is everything his father is hessian so let me take him so after days of convincing and some of the historians mentioned weeks of convincing and some even mentioned months of convincing she said took him and he entered mecca as soon as he entered mecca and they saw mu polyp with the boy they thought it was his slave and so they called him they called him the slave of who [Music] it's the prophet's father's father's father right his grandfather what's his real name why was he called abdullah before they thought he was the slaver and the name stuck are we all together and he even kept at me he what he kept that name abdi muttalip took over makkah even better than hashem a young boy who came to makkah he took over and there's a story of his inshallah that i want to mention but i'm going to leave it for the incident so i'm going to ask you guys questions to make the class as interactive inshallah are you guys all ready i'm going to ask you this question before i move on to the next point first question um i'm gonna pick okay even you the cameraman everyone they're gonna pick anybody are you brother right in the back yes you hashim what is his name his real name hashem what is his real name his real name his real name is amrit if you haven't written it right here now good his real name is what is your name yeah what's your name hashem he used to distribute water you're close very close that wasn't exactly what i said [Music] so the word hashem it means when you take bread and you do you put your hands in like that like grinding it with the meat and then put in the soup that you made from the meat daddy that action is called what hashems that's why he was called hashtag does that make sense good and another question how many children did abdi manaf have how many sons masha'allah what's your name yusuf allah almighty so his full sons very good who can tell us the two that i mentioned that are called the spoils of war one fifth would be given to them who were they are yeah i want the people at the back yes have you yeah you pass it okay are you have you been right in the back do i don't look back here yes you inshallah one of them is the the prophet's grandfather great great grandfather did you say hashem the second one is hatching yeah so is it sir and what is the name have you seen him yeah hey okay tell us how did you get the name of the abdulmutally [Music] [Music] okay so he's slightly confusing the name and so mu is the brother of hashem and abdul muttalib is the what the son of hashem so a lot of people confuse those two names that's why we needed to separate the two so abdullah's real name is what [Music] some say he is called as well some of them they said that was his name okay the reason why he was actually called sheba was that he had a bit of white hair here we all together good abdi did he take over mecca after his father which is another benefit brothers which is this concept that if a child grows up without his mother he will grow with trauma is not always the case are we all together yes the child doesn't need his mother and doesn't need his father but he can also get a very good upbringing without the two of them we all together and he can sometimes have a good upbringing without one of them and of course also the other side does that make sense actually the scholars mentioned one of the wisdom of why allah subhanahu wa ta'ala took from the prophet his two parents what he was for his heart not to be connected to any creation and for his heart to be connected to the creator altogether so for a very from a very young age he grew up without a mom and a dad we all together and so that's why i want to say to you brothers the way we nobody knows if they're going to live forever nobody knows when they're going to die we will know we're not gonna feel like i'm sorry no one knows when they're gonna die you may leave this world and leave behind your children and the scholars mentioned one of the ways for your children to be protected and taken care of after you die is to be good at caring towards other people's children don't just be selfish and look at yours allah [Music] orphans taking good care of the orphans and protecting the orphans and being like a father figure for them that it could be the good that you've done for these kids and you die allah will bring out for your children somewhere to take care of them like that allah says fear allah in those little kids that same can happen to you you can leave your children what you've done to them is what's gonna happen to you sir we're all together so those were the questions now we want to mention some of the biggest events that took place at the time of the abdeh some very important events that took place and we're going to conclude there one of the greatest was abdullah police time was that the well of zamzam was undug i'm going to quickly mention to you something story who are the people who were looking after the kaaba from the beginning who who built the kaaba [Music] his mother right and it's my who did he marry into the tribe of judah plural is called [Music] the person [Music] who [Music] he is married into was the man [Music] when he married intuitive into them when isma'il died his son they say took over the kaaba he died and then he went into the hand of durham's are we all together they took over the cab they took control over the kaaba and they did bad things there we all together they did evil things in the kaaba they stole the the because what is salaam did was he dug a big hole next to the kaaba ibrahim and he threw inside their gold and the money and the sadaqah and the gifts that were given to the kaaba he put it in ibrahim and it was left for the kaaba this is for the taking care of the karma and building it and beautifying it they stole the money and they took everything so the other tribes they said listen we need to remove them this is impossible so they got removed and when they left they buried the zombie water we all together the zombie water they buried it and they left to yemen where they came from because remember we mentioned the tribe of djun where are they from right so they come from yemen they went back to where they came from so the zamzam that is gone no one knows where it is they buried it in a way that no one knew what it was one of the things that he did at his time was the zamzam water was was found so two big things happened time at the time of the mu we have to go through both of them the first one is the issue of the zamzam i'm going to quickly go over that one and the second issue that happened in the time of abdullah was the elephants let's start with this this place mecca was in the middle of no no land in the middle of nowhere no no nothing was there it was just the middle of the desert sahara desert imagine that in the middle water was found it became a country a city now that's what water does one of the blessings of water when water is found people can live there huh so what happened was um [Music] isma'il when him and his mother had jana found the water the tribe that walked by was and they said can we stay with you guys we want to live here he said no problem and that's how it became mecca became a big place because of the mother so this was the water allah gave to them mentions the story i'm going to mention to you and he mentions an authentic chain of narration [Music] by the way just remember this ali's father and the prophet's father are saying mom same dad that's what when abdullah dies later and he passes over the prophet to abu talib when all the other uncles are alive abbas was alive hamza was alive all of them were there he specifically gave it to abu badi because they were from the same man same dad he was sleeping and someone came to him in his dream and they said to him in his dream [Music] which is the book i told you that i'm going to try to reference from a lot is a very good book one of the best book if not the best book written on the prophet see it's the suhili [Music] are we all together how is it because ibraheem did he not make dua and what did he say oh allah take care of the people of this land with this blessed water so that water is what a blessed water said to the person what is [Music] the next night i went sleep again and the person came to me again and they said to me [Music] again it's referring to them [Music] that you're talking about he left me when the next day came he said i went back to sleep again and he came to me and he said to me [Music] he says he said he left me he said i went back to sleep again and he came to me and he said so those were all the names he didn't understand now he said to him and then he said where am i zamzam he said what is this and then he said to him go to that place and undid it after my body woke up from his sleep and he went and he undugged those zombs and water and it was exactly where he was he saw in his dream now there's a benefit i want to share with you all in islam is the does a dream have weight in our religion is it something important amen it is it's an important thing it was said that the prophetic every morning he woke up he will say to the sabbath [Music] has any one of you seen in his dream something he'll ask him every morning [Music] the dream cannot sanction rulings for us danny if so if in the dream you see the prophet and he says to you you don't have to pray anymore you can't wake up in the morning and say a very i saw the prophet in my dream and he told me clearly and categorically the dream cannot change that but the dream can be a glad tidings the prophet said in hadith the revelation has become disconnected and nothing remains except a good dream all together so in the dream if you see good things insha'allah take it as a good sign but it should deceive you okay shouldn't deceive you and it also shouldn't be something you use to say this is halal what is taken but if you see yourself in jannah and you see masha'allah see that inshallah is a good sign it's a glad tidings it shouldn't deceive you like you shouldn't be like it shouldn't deceive you but it should be a motivation for you to work the scholars they say yes [Music] it makes a person happy and joyful but it doesn't deceive it doesn't what it doesn't deceive a person we all together he used to interpret his dreams for the people one day the prophet was sitting somewhere and a sahabi saw a dream and he came to the prophet and he said yeah i saw this in my dream and then i try i try to interpret it try by the way some scholars they took from that the scholars always look at every hadith and they focus and they try to bring benefits out of it they took from that the permissibility of someone giving a fatwa with the presence of someone who is more knowledgeable than him if he believes he knows the answer to this question makes sense anyways the prophet said go try abu bakr abu-bakr tried and he said yes did i get it right the prophet looked at him and he said to him you got some of it right and you got some of it wrong are we all together you some of it was right in what you said and some of it was wrong so the scholars then they say interpreting the dreams is it something you learn or is it something allah just gives is it something you learn is it you study is it you have to study and learn it or is it it's a gift [Music] it's both can somebody gain it have it without uh studying it and learning it is it like to tajweed where you have to learn [Music] or is it just something our life gives oh yeah are you got some scholars they use the stories maybe and everybody youtube that yusuf was gifted that some scholars they come back and they say the prophets they could all interpret dreams they're an exception but the normal people they have to study it some scholars they say that some scholars they say no allah gives it to whoever he wills is there anyone here who can interpret dreams put their hand up if you can interpret dreams there's going to be a long line of people coming to you like can anyone interpret dreams here yeah no i can't for sure whenever asking me about interpretations i'll send you in the wrong direction yeah just because a person is studied and he's learned but he knows he studied he studied the religion or he's read books in the deen doesn't mean he can tap into it we're all together but it's something very good for life you know how to interpret dreams it's a blessing and there's a lot i have [Music] [Music] and that was the first blessing that quraish received from him okay the issue of the elephant is a very lengthy and i want to go into great details regarding it so i'm not going to carry on but i'm going to take questions from the floor try your best be like getting to ask me questions related to the class anything outside that i will pretend like i never heard anything okay any questions related to the seerah inshallah if you have it we'll take it from the ground the first repeat that question again and the name abdullah so the name abdullahi the prophet's father's name was called what abdullah so the history of this name the people of quraish they attributed themselves to which religion they were claiming to be upon the way of who ibrahim are we all together that's what they were saying but they were originally upon that way until what happened one man came and he diverted them from that and i mentioned his name for to you his name was he bought an idol and he removed them from it but what happened was the names of tawhid that they had still remained and some of them it got changed so some of them the prophet saw he said this is not your name this is your name because it contained issues of shirk in it are we all together and some of them their names still remained upon what the tawheed that they took from their what from their forefathers even if you look at the african-americans in america some of them you could tell that they were taken from a muslim household through the names can you you see his name and his father like a muslim are you with me so this was how some of them were their name carried on being passed on from that place so it goes back to the first question we asked which is if it's something which is given to you as a gift then it goes back to fairasa means some people have this masha'allah they look at someone and they say i'm not going to do business with this person and they walk away and allah very they're precise they get it right and someone else is like no i'm going to do business with and then they fail and then they realize later this is called and they look at something i can feel something's not right someone's got to say this is what it is interpreting the dream is what for some people it's what it's awesome they don't look at hadith a lot of scholars the bulk of scholars mentioned it's that with the knowledge as you mentioned before coupled with knowledge that has have some knowledge of the sunnah and with that ability to see things as you see as you know some people study the religion so they've learnt a lot but they're not genuinely smart people they know the religion but they're not naturally smart people sir and there's another person who is smart and he's learned the religion and it's like all together he's got knowledge of the deal and naturally he's clever he's very smart allah has given him this gift to be given both that is from what [Music] some people even in life some people are bookworms they read they've studied all these theories and this and that but they can't survive one day by themselves on the streets they can't can they but they don't know all the theories and this is what fulan and allan said but they can't survive so difference different ways allah gives blessing blesses people in different ways when i was young it was a book i read one of the early books in my life that i read it was called say was one of the books i read it basically well it helped me a lot because it said something to me which is means put yourself in a category look at your do a swot analysis okay look at your strengths and your weaknesses and etc and then realize what you can do and what you [Music] can't i don't like leadership of any projects programs i don't take it i like to just teach and walk away if i do that i'll mess up things and it's not bad for somebody to say that's not my strength that's not my strength my strength is it's this another person says no i'm a good leader i can run a project and i can make it happen that should be left for that person does that make sense brothers so then there's this fidgeting and everything won't happen so that book at an early stage benefited me for example i asked him even if his name is called arsenal [Music] asim is one of the reciters of the quran that we take the restriction of the quran from we read hafs our sin [Music] if he narrates hadith no one will take it from him hadith is considered weak make sense is considered what life okay i'm making sense brothers it's all to do with allah make the person should that book helps me a lot you know this is what you can do do it this is what you can't do it's not a bad thing you hand up and say i won't put you down you let the right person run that thing and do that thing does that make sense so look at yourself do that again that's why a lot of people they don't know themselves in order to help others you need to know who you are right your strengths your weaknesses your ability what you can or can't do what you do is you create the best it's little the people can teach and be leaders and be this and be that you see a person who's a student of knowledge body within when he's the knowledge that he has and under every memorization but he's the worst husband but he's the best teacher he's a very good teacher when he teaches the students he can produce something else but as a husband he's a nightmare or he's the best husband and he's the worst father or he's the best father the worst husband now that's not something i'm encouraging you to be to be the best father the best husband into all of that but the strengths lie in different places does that make sense and so i'm not talking about pointing your fingers at other people i'm talking you yourself say what am i good at what am i not good at because you then start putting you put the right people in the right places you say look i don't know this can you hold that position for us okay you hold that position for us and i'm gonna hold this position and then things go the boat goes in the right direction everybody goes i'mma i can drive i know how to drive this boat promise you i'm qualified it's gonna mess up so when it's a bad dream it's best not to share it with anybody don't tell your bad dream to anyone keep it to yourself uh and inshallah always hope the best in charlotte but don't show your bad dreams to anybody the details of it how it's found so i mentioned the the people of jurhom they buried it when they were running away and they got beaten by bani khuzar right and took they took over mecca right so then these people were leaving and so they buried everything in mecca the gold and the and they left third questions so the the scholars they do mention that the dream it's yeah that's why you shouldn't take it to somebody who's going to interpret it in the west meaning so you take it to somebody is going to give you a good what good meaning out of the circumstances are you i'm thinking from then he saw the people in sham worshipping idols and he then said what are you guys doing and they said oh we're worshiping all these idols they said oh let me take this to makkah because he was one of the leaders of makkah at that time when vadim took over he became one of the leaders after that so he went to sham he took the idols and he brought the idols to mecca and the idols got separated he separated those idols amongst them and he said worship these idols and they worshipped it that's why the prophet he said [Music] i saw abram his intestines dragging in the hellfire the prophet because he was the first one who deviated the people from the religion of ibrahim alaihissalam the people of makkah were upon before that he was the first person who brought what ship to them okay is it possible for you to that goes back to the knowledge of the knowledge of dreams again i said i am what i'm like you guys [Music] i don't have my knowledge of dreams is very very small very little so i would have known if you saw melakulomate in your dream what would that mean and is it even him you know say that again was she [Music] no no okay again brothers and sisters who are here i ask allah today that was the day of
