PS4 Jailbreak Tutorial for Firmware 11.0

Introduction

  • New jailbreak available for PS4 up to firmware 11.0.

  • Current method is not very convenient, but improvements are expected.

Initial Setup

Disable Automatic Updates

  • Go to Notifications and Downloads.
  • Cancel any system software updates (e.g., 11.02).
  • Go to Settings > System Settings > Automatic Downloads.
    • Uncheck boxes for system software updates and application update files.
  • Disable internet connection temporarily:
    • Settings > Network Settings > Connect to Internet (uncheck).

Check Firmware Version

  • Navigate to System > System Information.
  • Ensure firmware is between 9.00 and 11.0.
    • If below 11.0 and wish to jailbreak, update to 11.0.

Updating to Firmware 11.0

Download Firmware

  • Use sites like darksoftware.xyz or PS4 firmwares to download the 11.0 firmware.

Prepare USB Drive

  • Format USB drive in exFAT or FAT32.
  • Create folders: PS4/UPDATE on the USB drive.
